Chel bit into the sandwich and with a full mouth anunciated, "Meat banana."
She picked up the easy hidden meaning in Jack's words; vacation disguised as mission. But she wanted something to be clear. "Jacklesss," was whined into his side once she'd swallowed. "I ain't been off island since my birthday and I'm booked for a week straight after this." She handed the sandwich back to him, not finished but giving him a chance to eat too. "Wave yer little beeper around a bit, but let me have some fun 'fore I gotta go back there."
Her request was coupled with puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," he conceded in a grumble before taking a bite, like it was a terrible setback to let Chel have fun instead of what she deserved. He had an image to keep up after all.

20 Questions
"Let's play twenty questions," Chel said plainly over her milkshake. They'd found a small street restaurant for dinner, and Chel had never loved urban missions more. Time to do her makeup, no MREs- this was the life.
She leaned forward over her food and said, "C'mon it'll be fun." A hand wiggled. "Either that or never have I ever." Chel was, a best, a middle school student.

Located east of the Acropolis and at the center of Athens was the National Park, and in spite of the fact that it was host to rowdy children (playground), Jack looked pleased to be there. Aside from the shade and the view and the trees, there were a sprawling number of stray cats. They had been prevalent all throughout their walk through the city, but seeing them sun in the grass or pick at the river's edge was different.
"Owain wanted to know if they had any forests," he explained as the followed the path, his eyes on a tabby ahead. It was currently watching the birds by the bridge, tail flicking in and out of question mark shapes. "Closest I could find."

Jack fixed her with a look over his sunglasses before pushing them up. He truly was a man going for the aesthetic property. "Never have I ever played twenty questions," he said, nibbling on a fry. "That's a lie, I have. But it sounded good, didn't it."

Chel yawned and put her hands behind her head. Walking through some boring a** trees wasn't her idea of fun, but Jack had insisted and if it made Owain happy she would do anything.
"Yeah? He like it?"

Chel gave Jack an incredulous look. "It sounded stupid as ********>" she told him truthfully, reaching across the table to take one of her fries and dip it in her milkshake.
"Question one," she asked, chewing on the fry idly. "Uhhhhhhh." She hadn't thought this through. "Wait no I got it- Favorite movie." Starting simple.

"It's not quite up to his hopes, but it'll do." The giant had been dazzled by the cobblestoned city, but rocks and mortar didn't give him the same joy as a giant forest did. The park was...adequate, he supposed. If a little abandoned looking.
Space freed up on a nearby bench, and he took the chance to settle down. His feet didn't hurt, but the view was nice and the shade was welcomed despite the brisk weather. Jack stretched his legs out and invited Chel to settle down by him. "Bored out of your mind yet?"

"Clever," he stressed, making a face as she mixed two things that definitely shouldn't be mixed. "Favorite movie...You'll laugh, but as a kid, I really was into Space Jam for some reason. Now it's probably...s**t, I don't know, the last movie I saw was Mean Girls with you two, and before that was Lord of the Rings."
Television apparently wasn't the only thing he didn't watch a lot of.
"I liked the zombiepocalypse that happened a while back. Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Warm Bodies, World War Z...Guess the short answer is I don't really have a favorite movie, I just like things like horror or suspense or supernatural genres in general. Oh, and Quentin Tarantino stuff."
Jack paused when he thought he felt a raindrop fall on his nose and squinted at the grey skies speculatively. "Yours?" he asked as he scooted his chair further under the umbrella.

"We'll find him a bigger forest," Chel assured him, nodding astutely. Anything for Owain.
Jack departed to sit on the bench and Chel ran off to startle the birds, cackling something fierce as they all flew into the air around her. Some of them skidded into the water and Chel took her sweet time yelling at them to fly off too.
But eventually she was good and went to sit next to Jack, moving his arm around her because he didn't have a choice in the matter. "I make it that obvious?" she asked. "Sorry man. I like it if you like it."

"Sucker Punch," Chel said without hesitation, followed by, "I like the Ring too. Anything scary where I can jump people." Chel hadn't made it clear just how much she loved Sucker Punch, but like Jack she also couldn't pick just one favorite movie.
While Jack shirked out of the rain like a cat, Chel stayed put and didn't seem to mind a few water drops on her back. Just as long as it didn't hit her hair or her face. "That didn't count as your question. Your turn."

Somewhere near the base of the Acropolis was a multitude of appropriately kitschy tourist stands filled with everything from baseball caps to magnets to shot glasses to tragedy masks.
"Help me find somethin' for everyone," she said, looking into the great expanse of merchandise. "Abbi wants somethin' with Hermes and Chris will need the stupidest thing y'can find."

He watched her go and smiled to himself, snapping a few photos as surreptitiously as he could. The phone was pocketed before she turned and joined him, and he hid the motion by instead checking the Fear reader. "You yawned," he said as he put it away. "I know it's not China, all action and fighting off ghosts that ******** bled for some reason, but you should enjoy yourself a little in the quiet."
He tugged Chel close and leaned in, the very picture of a sweet boyfriend as he leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Anyway, it's rich in history. We might be sitting above the ground where a massive ancient orgy once occurred, after all."

"Why Sucker Punch, then?" he asked, as it finally seemed an appropriate place to poke. He wouldn't have cared about movie preferences if Chel hadn't seemed so invested when they watched it.

Jack exuded such an aura that vendors weren't attempting to peddle to him openly. "Hermes the Olympian god or Hermès the fashion label?" he asked, thoroughly uninterested in any of the wares but checking out a travel mug just for something to do. It was easy to confuse the words through text without appropriate context, more so given Chel's dyslexia.
