Dawson was given an appreciative nod when he showed up - his lateness was completely understandable and would not go on his record or tally. "I'm glad you could join us, Mr. Grace." Lex greeeted, before he continued walking.

PHASE 1: SETTLING IN
The group arrived at the hotel shortly, Lex leaving the group in the lobby momentarily while he arranged things with the clerks, flashing ID's and cards and exchanging pleasant chuckles and polite jokes. A bellhop came out from a side door and stared at their group with professional brooding, noting how many bags he'd be carrying up the freight elevator.
Keycards for each of the guests were given to Lex, along with a wifi password and a friendly reminder that continental breakfast was served from 6 to 10 AM. The bellhop took the bags of those who were comfortable with not towing their luggage, and Lex led them into an elevator
He punched in the top floor, and made no conversation as they rose to their suite - possibly the largest in the hotel. When he opened the door, he wasn't too impressed - two king sized mattresses sat side by side with mahogany headboards and white silk sheets, three pristine white couches that could fit two people, and a loveseat in the same sharp white. A dining room table fashioned from the same wood as the headboards, chairs to match, and a kitchenette were to their right, and two bathrooms with showers to their left. Towels, soaps, and shampoos were provided in abundance.
Their luggage was placed just inside the room, next to a pile of extra blankets and pillows - the hotel had gladly followed up on the Lifer's requests.
The tall man turned to the group, a smile on his face. "Well, settle in. Figure out sleeping arrangements, and please do your best to not get any sort of stains on the carpet. We begin tomorrow at 6 AM."
Then, as an afterthought. "I'll be on the far right bed, by myself. This is not up for debate."
THE OOC
This is another 24 hour period for RP! You can choose to stay in the hotel room, or have your characters exlore the hotel and maybe cause some mayhem and mischief. There's a pool, spa, exercise room, and a few conference rooms that the group will be using. There's a convenient grocery market across the street from the hotel that Hunters can visit as well.

Ripley mulled over Lex's answer and found it satisfactory enough. Clearly pulled out of thin air, and clearly wasn't something that he had put any serious thought into, but at least it was decent enough. Plus he had planted the idea, so he felt a little better about it all. He nodded to Finn's quiet observation, and folded his arms across his chest. After this, that trip sounded amazing.
The trip to the hotel was the same as it would be anywhere else, and Ripley pocketed his card key for safety's sake, letting Lex take the lead. They had the penthouse apparently, which was probably for the best.
He smirked as Lex claimed a bed for himself, and waited for a few seconds to see if anyone would claim the other one. When nobody stepped forward to claim it, he took it upon himself. He set his duffel bag the far right side of the left bed.
"I'll share." Was all he said, in his usual deadpan voice.

The walk was a quiet one, as Finn conserved his energy, only giving Lex an answer via rude gesture of the raised middle finger kind and a level stare. Upon reaching the hotel, he took his key card and pocketed it, content to follow along for now, but not so eager to see the room he was going to be stuck in for the next week with the window licker patrol.
Top floor. Somewhat nice suite. Finn's gaze went to the beds immediately, and when Lex laid claim to one of those for himself and nobody else, the moon hunter let out a loud scoff. "And what if I pull rank and tell you that it is up for debate? Or better yet, that you can sleep on the ******** floor?" He smiled, and gave his head a small shake, noting Ripley's claim of the second bed before giving the now-brown haired man a long look.
"Great, because I'm sure as s**t not sleeping on a couch." Not when he was the ******** only full hunter here. He'd earned a bed, god damnit. He dropped his own duffel bag on the other side, and waited to see if there would be any kind of refusal or back track on Ripley's offer to share.

Ripley only gave a half hearted shrug, his expression never changing; if Finn wanted, he could claim the other side of the bed. Outwardly, it made no difference to him.

"Thought so." Lex replied, smiling a little too dangerously at Finn. Yes, the other man could pull rank and all, but Lex had organized and planned. This was his mission, this this was his bed.

Finn silently put Lex on his permanent s**t list.
Minus the s.
And minus the permanent since once he was dead, his name could be removed.

Lydia's offer of makeup on the walk to the hotel was enough to temporarily settle Oliver's nerves down to a low jitter. It might work, but then if someone noticed he was wearing makeup? That could be even worse, regardless of his reasons!
He stuck by her side during the walk back, but lagged behind once they reached the hotel. Tourist mode kicked in and he stared at EVERYTHING, wide-eyed and amazed. Perhaps it had not been a good idea to pluck this kid off the relative safety of the island and throw him into a big, strange place.
When they finally got to the room, he knew his place. He just hung back nervously, knowing someone would bully him into sleeping on the floor anyway.

Stormy's absence made it a little less pleasant for Gale, who was surrounded on all sides by people that he didn't particularly care for or even know at all, other than Lex himself. But this was a mission, and he wasn't about to back out of it just because she'd slipped off, even if he was concerned about her well-being.
Focus, Gale told himself.
The room was given only a brief glance before Gale disappeared out of it, reappearing approximately twenty minutes later, a key card of his own held between his fingers. He gave a brief nod to Lex, and then his eyes slid sideways towards Jack, standing off to the side.
Considering that he had spent practically none of his own wages since coming to the island, he had more than enough to pay for a room of his own; now it was just a matter of whether or not he would do what he was thinking of with it, or if he was just going to be selfish about it - although to be fair, being unfamiliar with the majority of the group almost made the decision for him.
Almost.

Chance, in the meantime, had already settled himself onto the floor and was leaning back against one wall with his legs crossed, his fingers linked together behind his head as he surveyed the rest of the room's current occupants.
"I'll stay here," he said mildly, indicating the floor. "As long as someone wants to lend me a pillow."
Since he probably wouldn't be sleeping anyway.

Finn was more than welcome to try and kill Lex.
Gale's actions were dualy noted with an approving nod, a small smile. Good thinking, Gale. The younger man would hopefully get some rest away from the ruckus that'd more than likely be happening that night.

"Oh for ******** sakes. Nobody needs to sleep on the god damn floor. There are three ******** couches." He waved in whatever vague direction he needed to in order to indicate these. "They're probably pull outs too. I assume."
Notice, however, that he didn't invite a third to join him and Ripley in a bed that could very easily fit another.
Also he only just saw that he was not the only full hunter here. Oh well.
------
The little parties ruckus maker was here. Lydia clomped into the room with a large, beaming smile and had a look around at the fancy digs. "Well, I hope you all brought ear plugs! Because I'm told that I may snore a little."
Like a rusty chainsaw and an old tractor getting it on, more like.
Wandering further into the room, she gave Oliver a pat on the shoulder. "We could share a couch if you want? Otherwise I can just take that small couch over there." She pointed towards the loveseat, which appeared to be about her size anyways.

Chance's eyes slid sideways towards Finn and his hollering about couches; and then back to the pages of the book that was currently propped up against his legs.
"Dawson can take one couch, Oliver can take another, and she - " He waved a hand in Lydia's direction, since he didn't know her name. " - can take the last."
It was all said without actually looking up, Chance deliberately keeping his gaze downward as he turned a page.

Dawson sort of stood awkwardly and tried to focus on too many people at once, rooted to the spot and more than a little awkward. He wasn't fit to share with someone else--well he could, but it didn't mean the other party would be happy considering how much of the bed he would take up. But he didn't raise his voice for a moment and merely looked around, a bit lost but perking when he heard Chance his name. Hey, if someone offered the couch, he'd take the couch. Though he was quite happy with the floor if people didn't like sharing beds...
Just as long as he didn't disturb poor Lydia. He didn't want to incite Mountain Man's wrath upon him from afar.
He yanked his suitcase off to the side in the meantime and pulled out a thick blanket and pillow of his own. Clothes? More like different sets of shirts and underwear. His jeans and boots were just fine for the week. Hands idly fiddling in their pockets, Dawson contentedly watched and waited and tried to feel at home among the eclectic group by not making a singly peep. After all, he was the late addition; he hardly had the clout to be asking for more than what he was given.
"M'fine with the floor too," he put in mildly. "It'd be like campin'."
---
Jack side eyed Gale when he realized Stormy wasn't joining them, and he wasn't abashed about making it obvious enough until the hunter noticed. At some point, this would get discussed.
For now, he was barely accepting the fact that he would have to share the living space with all these people. His very skin crawled like living insects.
"Either you give up half your bed, or we buy a neighboring room," he told Lex through grit teeth.

PHASE 1: Infiltration
"Well, that's all worked out, then." Lex promptly declared, looking at those assembled. Christ, what had he been thinking. They were the most conspicuous group he could think of. Any group on Hunters this large was bound to draw some sort of attention.
Chalk another tally on the Lex is an idiot scoreboard.
Then Jack happened, and Lex sighed a little bit. "Really? The two giants in one California king?" He leveled an innocuous stare at the man, having to look up three inches ( a motion that made him uncomfortable, as he was used to being the tower). "I suppose that's acceptable, though a little-" He hushed his voice to a whisper, sly smile spreading across his face. -gay."
He cleared his throat, turning to look at the rest. They seemed perfectly okay with how this was going down. "Ground rules. Cuddling is acceptable, and if you're going to have sex; make sure you're quiet about it. If I here a peep of an orgasm, I will be having to file a missing persons report. Understood?"
Obviously they did, because they weren't stupid.
Lex turned his attention to Jack again, nodding. "This should go without saying, Hawthorn, but you owe me a bit of a favor."
---
The morning came, and Lex had been up before the sun. As much as he could be an a** and condescending, he still did enjoy taking care of people - thus why the room smelled of bacon, pancakes, and eggs. The tiny grocery across the road was a 24 hour store, and he'd grabbed what he needed at the wee hours before dawn. When the hunters woke up, and when Gale arrived from his own room, they'd find the man working over the stove and a few cups of piping hot coffee.
"Continental breakfast is also being served, if you'd prefer muffins or cereal." He told them, flipping a pancake with the provided spatula. "Coffee is also in the dining room, along with juice and milk."
He was almost being motherly, if it weren't for the tones of command his voice held. Lex wanted them to hurry up so they could get on with the mission.
---
After breakfast was settled and everyone had changed into their clothes (Dawson's scarf got an amused but polite chuckle), Lex had directed them to one of the two conference rooms and sat at the head of the table, fifth cup of coffee in hand. "Good morning, team. This is going to be a rather simple day, if all pans out well. We'll mostly be introducing ourselves to the student population, establishing possible leads and relationships. Students, remember to go over your dossiers one more time, just to get the facts straight. Teachers, remember to stick to your personalities - though I do believe you've matched yourselves with the given roles." Lex smiled at Ripley and Chance, a quiet commendation. "Staff members will leave first, taking two different routes." He pushed a map forward, the directions outlined in green marker. "An hour later, students will being leaving, taking the three routes outlined in blue."
The circles under Lex's eyes spoke for themselves. He'd obviously put more planning into this after Ripley had tripped him up. More points for Ripley.
"Connor, Hawthron, Claudia. Make sure to stay as low key as possible. Take these - you too, Bones and Crowell." He passed black walkie-talkies to them. "Make sure you stay on channel three."
With that, Lex finished his coffee and stood, rolling his shoulders a bit. "Have a good day, everyone. Do try not to blow our cover."
THE OOC
Lex and company are beginning their mission, finally! On the first day all will proceed as normal, mingling with students and staff. All players will roll 1d4 for an encounter. 1. You're cornered by an aggressively inquisitive student: they want to know who you are, why you're showing up out of the blue, where you're from. You can accept them as an ally of sorts, to use in investigating the school. If you don't, they will continue to appear the rest of the mission anyway.
2. The principal calls you into his office and gives you a speech about how recently there have problems at the school, but that there is no need to worry. It becomes clear he suspects you are an undercover reporter. You see him periodically throughout the rest of your mission, nervously checking on you.
3. A teacher grabs your arm as you pass them in the hallway, pulling you into an empty room. They give you a hushed ultimatum: if you're here to make things worse or are just indulging morbid curiosity, then you can just leave. You can either play innocent and they will be constantly nearby and watching you for the rest of the mission, or you can give them some variation of the truth that will have them helping you.
4. Within the first few hours, you find a love note in your pocket. You being to feel watched and followed the rest of your mission, and other small notes and even gifts appear. They may be simply cute and innocent, but they may also have a sinister quality. This presence may help or hinder you.
At the end of the day Hunters will regroup and discuss findings / occurrences. Sleep in hotel room, miscellaneous RP can occur.
