Aandes wandered past the booth, ready for try number two. Gotta get that yo-yo. He noticed a rather eccentric looking greenblood talking up the Queen (you know, no big deal. Who did this a*****e think he was?) and pretended to sneeze as he rolled his eyes.

Could you really afford to be so smug in that get-up? Aandes casually picked up some darts and threw them at the image.

Damnit! So close to that yo-yo. Aandes pretended to be happy with his score and picked up a pen from the table. He hung around idly in the greenblood's blindspot pretending to consider his next move while listening in.

Sascha gaped openly at the amount of pink at this particular booth. It seemed so wrong, even though he knew intellectually that the queen herself was obviously allowed to use this color. If anything he appreciated the balls-to-the-wall advantage she took of such a privilege.

He wanted a pink prize. Sascha was convinced having such a souvenir would make his hive that much more royal. He didn't know the troll in the picture he was supposed to be hurling darts at. Hell, he probably would have thrown a dart at the real thing if it netted him a prize. Sascha chucked his darts.

All misses. Really bad misses too. Sascha swore out loud. He was really not good at this aiming thing tonight. Did he need glasses? Sascha wasn't sure he'd look good in glasses.

Regina had indeed come back to her booth, all that running around had been fun but it was nice to put your feet up. She had her feet up on a few boxes and was leafing through one of the information pamphlets picked up at the Mirthful Messiah's booth, when a shadow blocking the moonlight and a voice told her that she was being petitioned by a noble subject. Turning her head towards the greenblood, she tugged her glasses down a little so she could have a look at him. "Hm?" Looking down at the table, she noticed the light had lit up after his throws. "Oh. Uh. Right, dude. Here - a ticket." Fumbling under the counter for a second, she slid the scrap of heavy paper over the counter towards him.

Settling back down, she ran his sentence back through her brain. Pausing for a moment to close the pamphlet, she turned and gave an innocent, bright smile. "Anyway, I dunno what you're talking about! That troll face there was scientifically created, through some programs and s**t, to genetically represent the most embarrassingly mediocre troll that could ever possibly exist. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is uh, totally purely coincidental." Jerking her thumb towards the microscopic print at the bottom of the image that contained the same disclaimer, she turned the smile down a little from 'grossly exaggerated' to 'sane'. "Why, does it remind you of a troll you know?"

As your darts shoot home, a small light resting on the table turns on. You're not sure what that means, but later on as you wander the festival a seadweller in an enormous broad-brimmed hat, large sunglasses, and massive amounts of boa feathers jogs up to you and presses a ticket into your hands. "Hey. Good work on sending those suckers home. At the darts game, I mean." Stepping back, she gives you a nod that sends feathers cascading, turns, and hurries away back into the crowds.

Even though he had already won a something from this booth, he could always win MORE somethings! And Reemus wanted a shirt. Possibly multiple shirts. He picked up those darts, and threw the first without stopping to aim. He watched it miss the head entirely. So, from that, he made the conclusion that like that time he won a yo-yo, he should maybe aim? That sure was an idea!
So Reemus took his time with the other two, lining them up juuust right...and tossing! Pew! Pew! And, wouldn't ya know it, they landed pretty close to center!

Reemus squinted at the prizes. His brows went up as he realized he did win a something! He grabbed a purple pen, looked it over, then with a quick "Thanks!" ran off with that new something.

Lorata was so right! He did so much better at all his games once he started listening to her! When Bloodfest was over, he knew he'd have to stop by her hive (assuming it wasn't totally underwater...) and thank her somehow! His darts today were mostly on the board, and he was so happy!

Maihue walked up to what she now considered one of her favorite booths. She picked up her darts, and aimed, but got an awful shot. Surprised, she stared at the dart board, thinking that it was a mistake. She shrugged it off and threw her next dart. This dart wasn't as bad, but dang was it still bad. Getting a little irritated, Maihue tried to aim her dart just right but failed, even if it had gotten better than any of them. Frowning, she stared at the darts while walking away.

Lorata had come back sure she would do better than ever. Just deciding to help Poe become a master had given her a boost in luck, since he hadn't been distracting her by failing as badly! So today she would definitely win one of the other prizes, she just knew it! So decided, she grabbed her darts and began to throw them, one by one. Soon enough the results were in: she'd done horribly! She bit her lip, trying to wrap her head around that, and then turned to make an announcement.

"That is how not to do it! I could tell you needed a reminder."

Kursha's gaze flickered when Regina slid the ticket over the counter. He turned to look at her properly. She smiled. That sure was a s**t-eating grin if he ever saw one. As she spouted some c**k and bull story about programming and genetics, his expression changed to match hers. He supposed she did not need to sound credible. She had an all powerful monster and her bloodcolour to back her up, which made her more than credible for some trolls. But only some.

“Nah,” Kursha lied easily. He knew he was treading dangerous waters on some level, but could not bring himself to leave the subject alone. “I mean the expression is pretty much spot on, but... Well, you might wanna have your crack team check their numbers because as far as mediocrity goes, I've seen a lot worse. Anyway...” He plucked the ticket from off the counter. “Seems like a lot of work just for a simple target game.”

Shrugging dismissively, the queen leaned forward onto the counter. Part of her brain was buzzing. Here was a troll talking to her. Talking. To. Her. Not to the queen, but to her. There hadn't even been one 'your majesty' or 'your almightyness'. And they knew who they were talking to, not thinking she was some random seadweller or hemoanonymous looser. The sensation was new, and sent excited tingles down her arms and legs.

"You would not believe how much work goes into even stupider crap. Trust me, any tax dollars you might have inadvertently or unwillingly handed over during your lifetime are being wasted on far more uninteresting projects." Giving a wink, she glanced over at another troll taking a shot at the picture, then back, as if as an after thought, to the greenblood. It was a feigned show of disinterest, but done out of habit rather than to make a point. "I guess maybe it's a subtle mediocrity, one that strikes without warning."

This greenblood was forward. Damn. Aandes smiled to himself. Reminded him of Sascha, actually, except older and more entitled. The air of confidence abounded with both of these trolls, a testament to the greenblood. He had some autoerogenous shameglobes of pure metal. Aandes stayed out of sight for a bit longer. He was rather interested to see how this conversation would turn out. After all, it wasn't every day you got to listen to some nobody be glib to the Queen. He lived vicariously through this a*****e's gall.

“Hm... Subtle, huh?” He glanced back at the target board, expression pensive. There was something in her words that bothered him; she knew something, something that he was missing. As much as he would have liked to pursue the subject though, he decided to drop it. He could play up innocent curiosity as an excuse for a while, but eventually it would start to look suspicious. He would rather make the cut off sooner than later.

Crossing his arms and one ankle over the other, Kursha leaned his shoulder against the booth. He was facing Regina full on now, with his back to the street. “What's the point then?” he asked, raising his eyebrows. “I mean, if they're not interesting, drop 'em and who cares what anyone says. You can do whatever the hell you want, right? So, what's stopping you?”

Voscil was back at it another day as she rushed up to the purple booth. Bouncing up and down in place, the kid took hold of her three shots, and in rapid succession chucked the first two darts as quickly as she could....perhaps too quickly. They went sailing into the distance as she looked mildly mortified at her failed attempts. So much for her prized yo-yo woopse...

"Awww man!" She scoffed taking careful aim, watching as this hit the silly troll face in the cheek. At least she'd sort of redeemed herself, but it still wasn't good enough. Determined she'd be back, the kid spared a second to look between the queen and the greenblood whom were speaking to one another with a curious tilt of her head before rocketing off back to the fair grounds to look for more trouble to get herself into.

This fair was decidedly unfair. Sascha was seriously starting to believe some of these games were rigged. However, he ended up deciding it was best not to make such complaints while at the empress's booth. Sascha stared at the pathetic array of darts in the dumb picture target and grumbled. The urge to use his telekinesis was certainly present, but again: empress's booth. Sascha slunk off before he could impulsively do something stupid.
