The Meowstic's serious look, fell to a apologetic frown. 'I'm sorry I came to late.' He spoke, using what was likely Telekinesis. Eon looked down, her eyes meeting the rocky floor of the cave. It took a moment to register what he'd just said. "T-to late... what, do I know you?" Eon asked, her voice barely audible, but the question was loud and clear in her mind. The Meowstic shook his head. 'No, we've never met, but I've been trying to catch up to you ever since that huge ship passed me on the sea route.' Eon's gaze lifted to the feline once more. He'd been trying to catch up to her? Her eyes met Saga's, who was huffing on one knee beside the Meowstic. She then remembered the rest of her Pokemon, looking around at her defeated team, all scattered around the room. "Ran..., Hollr..." Her entire team, sweeped by that man. She'd managed to knock out two of his Pokemon, but only by sheer luck... Nori was the saving grace for two battles, dealing out some good damage and lowering their speed so her other Pokemon could get in some attacks.
Sitting up, Eon began to return her Pokemon, one by one each returned to their ball. She saved Nori and Saga for last, wanting to personally thank Nori when she woke, but decided against that and instead tried to return the big... tried being the big word here. However, the beam connected, but nothing happened.... Nori wasn't being pulled back into her ball... Did her ball break? Standing up, she weakly crossed over to her cocoon Pokemon, but it didn't take a full view of the bug to see her single eye had drawn back, revealing the white of her eye. "Nori?" Eon's eyes filled with tears once more. "No, Nori, return!" Eon cried, trying several more times to call back the bug... "Nori! Please, no!" Collapsing to her knees, Eon pulled Nori into her arms. "You can't.... You can't leave me!" Doubling over the Cocoon, Saga and the Meowstic approached slowly.
'I'm sorry...' The meowstic apologized. Though the only thing filling the air was the loud sobs from Eon.

After a quick service for Nori, Eon rose from the Silcoon's grave. She met glances with the Meowstic from earlier and took in a deep breath. There was no use being mad at him, he hadn't been the reason Nori died. She was. Looking up towards the mouth of the cave she felt her hand clench. No, that man was the reason. Who the heck was he? And who was this Ace? "By Ace's orders...." Was this Ace related to Resa's brother from Petalburg? That mans Pokemon were so strong, it was hardly even a fair fight... she'd used every last one of her Pokemon just to get two down, and by the third she was struggling. Finding her voice, the girl looked back down at the Meowstic. "Who are you?" she asked. He stiffened some before notably relaxing his muscles. 'Luffy.' The feline grinned, holding up a little paw up into the air, posing. 'I'm going to be the Pirate King.' For a moment, Eon stared at the feline, but then she couldn't fight back her smile any longer. "P-pirate King?" She chuckled, holding up a hand to hide it. The Meowstic's expression dropped back to a serious look before a toothy smile replaced it. 'Right!' Eon shook her head at this. "Pirates don't exist anymore, at least, not in the original sense of the word. Those Booty grabbin' days are back in the 16th century." The Meowstic's smile vanished. 'You're wrong.' He replied. 'My old master was a Pirate. And I've seen pirates sailing the ocean.' He seemed to sure of this, but surely what he'd seen wasn't actual pirates... and his old master? Maybe it was just some old man who played pretend, and this poor Meowstic got drawn in by the fantasy he started to believe it? Eon ceased her laughing. "Alright, alright. If you say so... I mean, I sort of lost my memories, so maybe Pirates do exist, and my mind only made up a memories of a world where they didn't?" That was even more unlikely then pirates actually existing. Though.... The image of that man in the blue striped-shirt.... the skull and cross-bones, was that just her mind playing pretend? Or... was that one of the pirates this feline had seen?

"Well, Luffy was it? Thank you for coming when you did. I wouldn't of been able to do much of anything against that man.... his Lucario was really strong." Eon said as she rested down on a small flat rock. Luffy nodded in response. 'Yea, you looked like you were in a tough spot. I hate when bullies pick on someone who's weaker.' The feline held up a paw, as if clenching it into a fist. Saga turned her nose up at the Meowstic's choice of words. Though, she understood that he was right... she was weak, as were the rest of Eon's Pokemon. by no fault of their own really. Luffy seemed to notice Saga's displeasure, but he didn't speak on it, he was firm in his choice of words. "Well, we were training to become stronger, before that guy showed up." Eon supplied, fishing out her Pokedex to scan the feline. Luffy didn't move, allowing the device to show Eon his stats and information. "A Meowstic.... psychic-type, oh... So I was right, that was Psychic energy...." Eon mumbled. The Meowstic could hear her mumblings, but he seemed to ignore it, letting her live in the ignorance. "Well, anyway... I suppose I should head back into town myself to heal up my companions." Standing, she braced herself as Saga leaped back up onto her shoulder. Luffy however interjected, dashing to a rock to sit eye-level with Eon. 'Wait, that man headed that way. If you go there now you'll run into him again.' That was a good point. "Then what? I can't let my companions remain fainted." She replied. 'My ship should be big enough, you can come with me. We'll go to the mainland.' Another good point. She had to head for Rustboro anyway, so maybe it would be a good idea to head that way. A quick stop in Petalburg to heal her Pokemon, then north to Rustboro.

It was decided, they'd take Luffy's 'ship' and head for Petalburg. Ready to leave, Eon took a step towards the cave entrane when a loud boom rumbled from the sky above and a torrent of water fell to the earth. "What!?" Eon shouted, staring at awe. That storm had come out of nowhere. 'Looks like we can't go yet.' Luffy stated, plopping down on his butt with a huff. he was even more upset then Eon was. Sitting back down, the green-haired girl glanced up at Saga, their stomachs in unison growled. "Oh right, we left before getting breakfast..." Eon stated. 'I have some food. I... don't like sharing, but you can have some.' Luffy stated, pulling out a handkerchief filled with various snacks. "Where did you have that?" Eon pondered. Luffy grinned, handing down the handkerchief. He wasn't revealing that secret.
Of what Luffy gave up, Eon found several Lava cookies and some candy. Saga appeared rather interested in the candy, so Eon handed it over to her. "All you have is junk food..." Eon set down the cloth. She couldn't eat this stuff... there had to be something real she could eat. Well, once the storm broke she'd get something at the Petalburg Pokemon Center.

Leaping down from her perch, Saga trailed the cave until she emerged by it's mouth. The cool rain splashing from the ground up to her skin felt nice. She was feeling a bit dry anyway. Resting down at the cave's mouth she scanned the sands before her. the beach on the northern end of the island stretched far inland, leaving sand scattered everywhere. Newbark was nothing like this. Thick trees surrounded the town. She preferred trees over sand any day. As her thoughts began to wander, the grass-type hadn't noticed a fairly large mushroom fall from overhead, landing on her head before toppling to the ground. The Gecko reached forward, snatching the shroom before looking up to find only rain pouring down. Where had this come from? Standing she stepped out of the cave some to look up over the mouth of the cave. No one. Well, humans ate Mushrooms right?
Returning to Eon's side, Saga held up the mushroom to her trainer. Eon's nose scrunched up and she frowned. "Thanks for thinking about me, Saga. But... I hate mushrooms." The green-haired girl sat forward. "But you can eat it. Mushrooms are good for you." Patting Saga on the head, the gecko narrowed her eyes at the fungi. With a shrug she opened her mouth and tossed the shroom inside. It didn't taste all that bad, but it wasn't good either. Not one to waste food, she continued to chew until she could manage to swallow it.. a few seconds later she hiccuped, feeling a bit qweazy soon after. "Bad mushroom?" Saga shook her head at Eon's question. No, it wasn't bad... just... she felt odd, like.. her mouth was filling up with so much saliva, she... couldn't hold it back any longer!
Turning, the Treecko spit out an abnormal amount of water. Luffy's eyes grew wide. He then suddenly burst out laughing. 'Wooo! That was like a Wailord!' He shouted. Eon smiled, but a look of concern laid across her face. "Yea, that wasn't normal." She added, holding up her dex. "Maybe this could tell us whats up." Nothing seemed abnormal, until Dex got to her known move list. "Wait. Water Spout, that's a Water-type move." Just how bad was that mushroom? "Let's test it out. Try using Water spout on that rock over there." Saga nodded, turning towards the rock Eon had pointed out. Sucking in some air, she let saliva build up in her mouth before spitting out a abnormal amount of water. "Intriguing... I mean, super interesting. I've never heard of a phenomena like this." Standing, Eon was about to move towards Saga, when a woman burst into the cave, shaking her drenched body free from the rain water.

The woman who'd burst into the cave from the rain outside, was dressed oddly. Her hair was pulled back tight, only to be left to run wild at the opposite end. A long black dress, down to her ankles was accessorized with various pins of skulls & crossbones, including some bio-hazard symbols mixed in. She was for lack of a better term, a punk. Eon was rather startled, and nervously stepped back. Tapping a rock with the back of her boot, it clattered across the hard ground, bring Eon to the woman's attention. "Oh, hi there." She greeted, her purple-painted lips curling into a grin. "Are you a trainer stuck here too?" the woman asked. She was a bit scary looking, but Eon felt it wasn't right to judge her based on looks. She answered with only a nod despite this thought. "Cool, cool. Well, I mean... This rain should let up soon, these tropical storms always pass through within like.. half and hour, sometimes less. Why don't we have a battle to pass the time?" She asked this, already holding a ball in her hand. The ball was also painted with a skull & crossbones design. could this mean she favored Poison-types? Or she just like hazardous waste? Whatever the case, Eon started to shake her head. 'Sure, Saga can take you!' Luffy intercepted. "But..." Eon wanted to say no... not after the last battle had ended up with a casualty, and she only had Saga to fight with. "Don't worry... I'm actually pretty new at this whole trainer thing myself..." The girl quickly supplied, seeing the doubt in Eon's eyes. "In fact, all my Pokemon are like... super weak, but we'll still put up a fight!" She grinned, tossing forward the first ball to reveal a Gastly. A poison-type. So far one theory was showing true.

Eon slowly made her way into position. Saga did have plenty of time to relax since the last battle, and even then it'd been stopped prematurely thanks to Luffy, so perhaps Saga could handle a small battle on her own? That new move would also come in handy. "A-alright. I accept your challenge." Eon stated, taking a deep breath. The woman grinned, motioning towards Eon with a balck gloved hand. "No need to be so formal. I'm Ro by the way. I'm going to be a Kalos Queen!" Eon was following up until that last statement. "Kalos... queen?" Ro rolled her eyes. "It's a term for a Kalos contest winner. Unlike here in Hoenn, only females can enter to be a Kalos Queen." Eon still felt lost. What contest? Hoenn had contests? She'd unfortunately wasn't re-informed about Pokemon Contests that originated in Hoenn. Something she'll learn about in due time, but for now... Eon decided it was best to play along, just so they could get the battle moving. "Oh, okay... Well, good luck with that." Ro nodded, holding up her hand. "Thanks. Alright, Specs, lets show'em your moves!"
"Wooow! What the heck? Treecko can't learn that move can they?" Ro asked, astonished by her Gastly being taken down in one hit. At full health, Water Spout was devastatingly powerful. Eon shook her head. "I think it was because of some poisonous mushroom." The amnesiac aided. "Poison-- oh! Was it like, yellow? With Orange stripes?" Eon nodded. "Then that wasn't poisonous. It was a Balm Mushroom. They're an odd sort of mushroom that messes with a Pokemon's genetic make-up and causes some seriously messed up things to happen, like learning a move they normally couldn't learn. Anyway, that's some luck getting a really powerful move like that, guess you'll never go thirsty." Ro broke into laughter before returning her Gastly, deciding this time to send out a Tentacool. "Won't work that well on Tesla here, so lets try again."

Well, at least her twins had put up some fight. Either case, Ro lost. Rather devastated she returned her fallen Bulbasaur twins. "Well, looks like you win. I'm not cut out for battles." Ro stated defeated.
Outside, Eon could see the rain letting up... likely the sea would be calmer now. But her attention on the weather outside wouldn't last for long, as suddenly, Saga began to glow! The state of evolution, Eon had seen it once before, with Nori... and now Saga was following in suit. The once tired-eyed Treecko stood before Eon a tired-eyed Grovyle. "Amazing." Eon muttered. "Wow, glad to know I helped out in this case. Annnyway, the rain let up, like I thought. But I'm still wet, so I'm going to hang out here for awhile before heading back into town. Thanks for the battle... umm..." Eon had forgotten to introduce herself. Collecting her things, she moved towards the mouth of the cave. "Eon. My name is Eon." Ro's eyes widened. "Eon, that sounds cool. Well, anyway, Eon, here." Pulling out a short fat mushroom, the girl then reached back into her bag and pulled out an odd looking.... item. "This is a Big Mushroom, I know creative in the name department, right? Anyway, it sort of has the same effect as that Balm Mushroom did. And this... well, its an incense burner..." Incense burner... those things people used to sometimes used on other people's graves? She'd seen one set up in the house she'd stayed at in Pacifilog. Perhaps she'd light it up for Nori? When in Rustboro of course, where she was... safer. "Thanks... Umm, and good luck on the whole.. Kalos Queen, thing." Ro nodded. Holding a thumb up.
With that, the two parted ways. Eon for one was a bit indifferent about that past experience, but at least Saga evolved... and couldn't ride on her shoulder anymore, no.. that was taken by Luffy.

Entering the cave system Simon sent out Wartortle again. That was the correct move as the first Pokemon they came upon was a wild Geodude. Even though there was no more water in the area Wartortle was able to produce water to use surf and knock out the Geodude. It was interesting to see, like a water gun to get the water then surfing on his shell to do the move. Once again Simon figured they would battle a few times then use a Black Flute, it struck him that they were in a cave and he might find another one in here as well. Keeping an eye out the pair continued to search for Aron.

The next Pokemon was a wild Abra, Wartortle only had one chance to take it out. Simon had caught one before and the only move she had was teleport. Nodding at Wartortle he watched to see what he would do. The strongest attack he had was surf but it just wasn't strong enough. Abra was left with a tiny amount of HP perfect for any trainer to catch but like Simon thought the Psi Pokemon teleported away. Going up to Wartortle he pat his head, "It's okay, that's just how those Pokemon are. They're really hard to catch but when you go home you'll see Kadabra and she could explain it to you."

Continuing in the tunnel he came upon a Hiker who was resting but gave directions. To Simon's right was the room with all the cave drawings. Those that depicted a legendary battle between Hoenn's legendary Pokemon, Kyorge and Groudon in their primal forms. To Simon's left was deeper into the cave. Thanking the man he continued left and down the next set up stairs he was attacked by a common sight in caves, Zubat. Sending out Wartortle Simon told him it was time to take this Pokemon out. It seemed that Wartortle loved the move surf as he used it again to win this battle.

When another Abra appeared Simon withdrew Wartortle only because he wasn't strong enough yet. Instead he sent out Charmeleon who used the powerful fire move Blast Burn. Breathing fire from out of his mouth the fire covered his entire body and he rushed forward smashing into Abra. It was a super strong move but it tired Charmeleon out. In a normal battle he would have had to rest after using the move but since the Abra fainted he didn't need to recharge. Yawning as Abra was teleported away Simon returned Charmeleon so he could rest from the battle. Sending Wartortle back out they continued to train, "I'm going to let Charmeleon handle anymore Abra until you get stronger.""Tortle" he said agreeing.

Entering an area that was extremely rocky Simon could tell Wartortle got excited especially when a Geodude and a Nosepass appeared. The later Pokemon was hanging back as Geodude rushed forward to defend its friend. Being both ground and rock though it was super weak again Wartortle who ran to meet it once again tucking into his shell, spinning as water came out then riding the wave up and down onto the Geodude instantly defeating it. The Pokemon could have been thirty levels higher the move might have still defeated it. Sliding back towards Simon the shell came to a rest as Wartortle popped out really happy to be battling.

With the Geodude defeated Nosepass floated over to battle Wartortle. As his water Pokemon started to create the wave of water to surf on Simon scanned Nosepass. "Nosepass the compass Pokemon. Its magnetic nose always faces north and draws iron objects to its body to protect itself better. Travelers check Nosepass to get their bearings." This Nosepass didn't get a chance to draw in any iron as the wave of water surged over it, knocking it out. Popping out of its shell again Wartortle looked excited for more battling as they continued to search the large room.

Entering the next area Simon saw that there were several Zubat hanging upside down on the ceiling. Slowing stepping back to let them sleep Wartortle burst into the room spraying water out of the head and limb holes on his shell. Coming to a stop he popped his head up as a rush of Zubat woke then flew out of the area. Simon ducked down to avoid a Zubat to the face. When they were gone Simon saw that there were two left behind, the first one dropped and prepared to attack.

Healing Wartortle up Simon decided that after clearing this room they would use the Black Flute to draw out an Aron. The last Zubat swooped down and took the surf like the other diving down and biting at Wartortle before hovering back up again. The next surf took the Pokemon out. Kneeling next to the turtle Pokemon Simon sprayed him with a potion before looking through his pack for the Black Flute. Wartortle watched as Simon thought on which Pokemon he wanted and was lulled himself by the music that came from it. Once he was done Simon held the black flute out as it crumbled. Wartortle looked alarmed but Simon smiled and shook his head telling him that it was supposed to do that.
