"We did tell him he couldn't deny it," Austin said, finishing off his beer and tossing it into the nearest trashcan. "Princess, are you blushing?" he asked Terra, grinning evilly. He looked a lot like Roch in the face, too.

"I am not!" Terra said, blushing so brightly that you could see it through her makeup. "Gracias, Senor Ren, but I am just a normal ghoul."

"She lies," Roch said. "You should see her weapon, it's beautiful."

Cisco, on the other hand, had gotten distracted by the wings. The WINGS! OuO He wanted to touch theeeemmm--the boil leaned over, almost falling out of Roch's arms in order to touch. "Oye!" Roch said, juggling the boil to make sure he didn't fall. "You goober, ASK first!"

Cisco looked at Ren, "Gababa flap-flap?" he asked hopefully.

There was a look of wonder on Cisco's face as he touched the feathers, having gotten exactly what he wanted.

"Ren here is starting up a club," Roch said, looking at Vegas. "I told him that Monica could help him find food and drink suppliers in the area. He's going to let me do a gig there, too."

"I see," Vegas said, digging his wallet out and going through it. "What type of food do you plan on selling, son?" he asked, pulling out a handful of cards. "Monica keeps track of most of it, but I'm still their go-to place for poker every Thursday night. I could introduce you to them, if you'd like to come."

He usually wouldn't offer this to anyone that wasn't an old "connection" but Roch was insisting. You could tell by the look on the boil's face. It was EXTREMELY pointed.

"Word is that old friend of yours, Xiu, was opening up a cafe," Austin said, digging out a pack of cighoulettes--looking at Cisco--and putting them back in his pocket. "She might be a good one to go to, as well."

"Yeah? He's got a point," Roch said, looking to Ren, then hiding his amusement as Cisco held out his arms to the gryphon. "But we can talk about it later--the music's about to start, right?"

Clearly the closer to fluffy feathers, the better, so speaketh the Cisco. Who can't... exactly... speak yet. But Boos and Feathers! Perfect day!

"If you don't mind the chance of him getting your feathers sticky. I ain't sure HOW he gets so sticky so fast, but somehow he manages," Roch said as Cisco kept throwing himself at the poor gryphon. "He likes fluffy stuff--you just proved your wings were perfect." He shakes his head in amusement. "I've got no jackin' idea where he got that from."

The others looked at each other. "From you," the said in perfect sync. Even Terra said it, and was nodding.

"I don't like fluffy stuff!" Roch protested.

"Si, you do," Terra said. "He woke me up one night with a toy as large as he was, Senor Ren. I do not know what to do with a toy that large! It is bigger than I am!"

"I had a bit of luck at the games," Roch protested.

Roch dropped a hand on his shoulder, leaning forward and kissing Cisco on the cheek. "Be gentle, lil' guy," he said softly to the boil. "No pulling." Then he looked at Ren. "All I got in this world is my boil, my family--and my bros," he said. "I got nothin' worth bragging about outside of that. Just seems logical I do the best I can for what I got. Plus, if this works out, you'll be helpin' me and some of my other bros out a TON. Otherwise we'd have to get real jobs!"

The sound of blues music came then and Cisco twisted in Ren's arms to try and see the stage. "BOOS!" he said, bouncing in excitement and waving his arms. "BOOS!"

"Looks like he's a blues fan," Austin said. "I approve."

Cisco started laughing, squirming for a moment before focusing on the music again with rapture. He would probably be just fine in a club setting, it looked like. He'd pretty much grown up in one, after all.

Roch gave him his high five, grinning slightly. "I think you're right, bro, I think you're right."
