User ImageSenja: In healer's tent with Rayolun
Post 14

Senja felt a bit of her smile crumble. Such a nice person! A lot like her father... just much younger and not as elegant looking!
"My home is in Neued, my husband left right before the battle to go help his family apparently, I don't know where my family is at all right now, and then all this!" She waved her hands. "It's just been a stressful few weeks. A week of quiet would be very nice. Thank you though." She finished wrapping up the gouges across his ribs and shoulders as sounds of returning soldiers filtered in.

She looked up and listened for a bit. "They sound... cheerful. You think we won?" She asked Rayolun hopefully. Could she go home and find her husband and family now? Was the war finally over? No more worrying about attacks?

Rayolun nodded. So she was from Neued... and still managing to hold herself together despite all the stresses. Her husbands lucky... not as lucky as me with my Lasarra but still lucky!
"It does sound like they are returning in triumph." He was a bit bummed out... he'd missed the big battle! Not much he could have done out there other than stagger around or try standing in one spot to keep from using his bad leg... but still! It was disappointing to have missed out.
"I'm going to go out and talk with them. see what happened." He said as he staggered to his feet and used the Oban spear as a walking stick.

Biroki – Shifter Sage
Resistance, Tale Camp: Unsatisfied

Biroki was about to throw another lightning bolt into the cluster of beasts and people, when the call was sounded. He snarled, the air crackling with electricity.

No. The Obans were not giving up. He would fry them for the harm they had caused, he would crush them, he would burn them...

But then Naria, their bastion of pride, turned back to the camp, and Biroki realized it was over. It was not over for his lightning. It crackled and cursed, longing to be freed, and the Sage fought it.

Instead, he glared at Freya and Besian, and at the tendaji leaders, and, also, at the Obans that walked beside them... who did not deserve the respect they received.

Fine. He would give them their chance. And if he did not like what he heard, he would strike them down...

Politics be damned.

Ikkio – Shifter/Ice Prentice
Resistance, Battlefield: Bored

Well, that was over... Ikkio watched, dissappointed and bored, as their army filed back to the camp.

Or perhaps not she thought, as she saw the anger on her father's face. She smiled... things might well turn out interesting.

For now... She looked out over the battlefield, scanning the vista of the dead and dying, what could she do?

She went from body to body, checking for life and for valuables. If they lived, she felt, she had the power to help them or kill them – a power that she craved and loved. If they were dead, well, they wouldn't be needing those things of theirs anymore... would they?

A groan from nearby: she went over to investigate. An Oban man lay, burned by acid, the liquid having carved its way through his chest. She laid a gentle hand on him, examining him.

He could still live, if she acted.

She made her decision... and he choked his last on the ground.

Smug, Ikkio sifted through his pockets, but found nothing more to remove.

”Oh well.” she said, smiling. She wasn't bored anymore.

User ImageVollerei : Warrior. Location: by dead Arwa--> BBQ anyone?
post 9 with 4 battle posts

As the fight raged on, Vollerei eventually turned her attention more towards the Oban gaurds about the General than the Arwa. Her spear ran red with blood, and splattered stained her skin and clothing as she threw her weight behind her blows, stabbing and slashing at her foes. The scars extending from her lips emphasizes the feral grin she bore. She was fighting this one huge Oban male when a change in the battlefield happened. He was as tall as her, with shoulders far broader and his hair was down up very much like her folks; dreads pulled back and stylized with metal rather than bone or feathers. They'd been exchanging blows for some time now, his huge curved sword wielded in two hands may not have had her reach, but he was fast and able to lunge into range to strike while she was still recovering from her own attacks.

She and him ignored the calls.. until a horn sounded calling for his kind to fall back and Vollerei heard Naira's voice telling them to fall back. They stood paused for a few moments before he sheathed his sword, nodded to her and turned away. Vollerei, now that she was not locked into battle, looked around. So... had her people lost again? If they were she was going to be pissed! Luckily for her, her side was the ones acting triumphant... and it was a group of Oban's carrying a white flag. Guess we won... in that case; she turned to eye the fallen Arwa. I ought to try and eat this...

Vollerei, joined by a few of her Sisters, walked around the fallen Arwa.
"You think this is edible? It's a lot of meat!"

"It's got acid on the skin... and may have ben poisoned." One sister remarked as she pointed at one acid burn.

"Pssh! The inner meat ought to be just fine... poison takes a while to effect something this large... So it should be safe to eat. If not, well we've got all these healers nearby!" Vollerei responded as she walked up the side of the side of the animal to see where she should start cutting it to get at the tasty meat she just knew it had to have.

Lerin blinked in surprise, astounded by the words he heard coming from Dyakida's mouth. He had only met her for a moment, so it wasn't as if he knew her particularly well. But... he hadn't really gotten the taunting vibe from her. She'd seemed very reasonable and just, if not a bit wary. Still, he supposed anyone could turn sour when mistreated. He couldn't fault her for that.

Instead he held his attention on the chiming sprite, beaming at her as she recognized him and letting out a small chuckle as her fingers found their way into his hair. "It's good to see you too," he intoned softly. Hearing her musical voice should've been enough to calm anyone. It was certainly enough to mask the echoing sounds of battle. Doori seemed equally pleased by this, and she bounced along Lerin's shoulders to try and get the sprite's attention, herself.

As Dyakida turned away from the tent, Lerin smiled softly at her, forgetting for a moment that she couldn't see him. "It's Lerin," he told her once he'd reminded himself of her condition. "We met a while ago. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't leave a particularly lasting impression," he admitted sheepishly.

But even as he spoke, he could hear the calls echoing from the battlefield, the soldiers and warriors on both sides being called to retreat. he couldn't make out distinctly what each person was saying, but he did spot a swatch of white hanging over a large swarm of Obans..."It looks like... it must be over, hm?" His gaze wandered out, scouring across the groups. "So, do you... Have someone precious to you that fought?"

Xilarn grit his teeth in frustration, casting a glare to the sound of the woman's voice, even though the tent walls blocked her from view. He didn't lack the guts to escape, if that's what she'd been getting at. If he was any type of coward he wouldn't have even come here, ridiculous choice it had been. The simple fact was that he'd already exhausted enough stupidity to last himself a lifetime. He didn't have any left to single-handedly try an escape, considering he didn't particularly want any other Obans on the battlefield... As tantalizing as escape sounded, probably best to stay put. Xil sighed.

Besides his worry for Kennet, another looming concern was what the Tendajians were actually going to do with their captives. He didn't imagine they'd be that inspired to kill anyone else, but even being turned back over to Oba didn't sound like much of a treat to him. In the grand scheme of things, it seemed unlikely that they'd just be allowed to roam at their leisure. With another discontented rumble, he rubbed his hand down the length of his face.

Why couldn't things ever just be easy?

Kresimir fiddled with his hands for a few moments as he stopped moving. Where his daddy was was a little difficult to explain since he wasn't exactly in camp. "Well...Daddy isn't exactly..." Kres had been ignoring the sounds of battle the entire time but then he realized the loudness had dissipated. It was then that he started looking around and started seeing people coming back from battle, but they were smiling! That must mean they had won right? "Miss Ime look! People are coming back! And they're smiling! That means we did good right? We should go find Mommy!" He knew Mommy would get mad at him for not doing as she said but he had tried to get Miss Ime to go with him! That was good, right?

Ime. I'm kinda making it to where maybe he was quiet for a bit after she asked him until the battle was over and what not?

The battle had went surprisingly well. She had been able to avoid most of the attacks of the terrible Obans and the ones she couldn't, she got some combat field healing thanks to some Tendajian she had never seen before. In any case, she had been grateful. Kelina, though, didn't know quite what to think of the Oban nobles surrendering. At least the fighting was over and Freya and Besian were back so that had to be good. She walked through the camp towards the healers tents, figuring she'd check in on Ime and those there and get the rest of her little wounds treated before going and finding her family. It was then that saw the familiar heads of hair of Ime and her little trouble maker. She made her way over to them with a frown on her face. "Kresimir! Didn't I tell you to go back to your father?" She asked sternly in a voice that was reserved for when the kids were in trouble. "But Momma! I was trying to get Miss Ime to go with me so she would be safe too!" Kelina couldn't deny that she thought it was adorable, so her frown softened. "Okay, well you'll have to do extra chores later though, understood?" With a nod from him, she turned to her friend. "I hope he wasn't too much trouble and didn't get in the way too much." She apologized.

Naevius sat there for awhile as she listened to the sounds of battle. It baffled her at the amount of comfort his touch had provided. Even amidst this war, being captured and not knowing what was going to happen to them, there was still a piece of home here. And she had to admit, Nae was glad that he had surrendered himself. She hadn't really had much time at home to get to know him, though she heard he was a hard worker and really cared for the beasts, which was something she admired. She smiled at him softly. "Thank you." She wasn't quite sure what she was thanking him for. His words of comfort? His touch? Him simply being there? Perhaps all of it.

A little time passed and she heard the sounds of battle die down. It caused anxiety to build up inside her. She ignored all the voices trying to talk to them outside the tent, a few inside had answered and she frowned at them. "I wonder what's going on out there..." She said to Sebastien as she stood, her knees stiff, and she dusted herself off. Walking to the entrance, she knew she'd probably get in trouble if she stuck her head out. "Excuse me." She called to the guards outside. "What's going on out there?" She asked.

Orpheus Solon

Yaholo was relieved when he saw Freya and Besian appear from the crowd of royals. The captured leaders were safe and willing to help the others negotiate with the Obans, and hopefully reach some sort of peace treaty or something. He lowered his hammer and shifted his weight backwards, before turning to find where Samoset had gone. He had seen his son get hit out from the corner of his eye and hoped that he hadn't sustained too much damage. Poor kid was still learning, it wouldn't be good if he got permanently injured now when he was just starting out. However, as he wandered towards the camp, he noticed Rilind snoozing in the shade of a tree and paused.

"...Mmm." He mumbled. He didn't want to stop in his search for his son, nor did he want to leave Rilind by himself. The brute sighed and made a popping sound with his lips, before heading over to Ril's side.

"You look so cute, Ril." He mused, moving to lay beside the knight, running his fingers through the other's hair as he did so. "I just had to stop and snuggle... We did great out there, didn't we?"

User ImageSenja: In healer's tent with Rayolun trying to see if Rastian is about~
Post 15 (if I can't post twice after the battle then she's stuck at 14)

She hurried after Ryaolun, giving him some support so he didn't have to use his wounded leg too much.
"You really ought to stay put! I'm sure they'll tell us what happened soon enough." Warriors; they really just didn't know to stay down when hurt! She thought wryly; she did want to know what had happened... and was hoping she'd spot Rastian should he be about somewhere! He had to be here somewhere, as disappointed she was to have him leave on the eve of battle, she knew he had a reason... but was hoping he'd at least hear the call and realize that while family was important (more than her apparently...) he would be needed at this battle.

Her eyes kept scanning the returning warriors but she didn't spot the vivid purple of Rastians hair. "Where is he?" She muttered under her breath half anxiously half irritably.

If Ras wants to encounter Senja she's waiting for you outside the healers tent! We shall have to discuss how we want our next prp to go!

User ImageRayolun: Is in Healer's Tent with Senja
Post 14(if I'm only allowed 1 post to end this then I'm stuck at 13)

Rayolun leaned on the small woman's shoulder as he flagged down a familiar face. Throm, an old hunter acquaintance who specialized in traps, to get news of the battle. He noticed the woman at his side was distracted, trying to find some one.
      "How'd the battle go Throm?"

"Not bad! We got one of the Arwa and badly hurt the other and completely devastated their vanguard! Pity our captured leaders apparently managed to convince the Oban nobles to try diplomacy... Wed have killed them all other wise!" His old friend said cockily. Rayolun smiled at this; so they'd showed those invaders not to mess with them! About time... just shows we need to have everyone work together and not fight in small groups.

"Diplomacy, eh? We'll have to see how that goes... If it fails we'll just have to finish the job."

"True! And it gives you and the others time to heal." Throm eyed the leg. "Bad?"

"Bad enough to keep me from battle today." Ray said with a sigh. A weight was off his shoulders; with this it meant he could go home! And maybe find out what village life was like! "Know if my uncle's about anywhere?"

"Nah.. haven't seen him in a while. A lot of us got hurt at Neued... he could be in the same boat as you."

"Mm.. .thanks Throm." Rayolun had been hoping to hear word of his uncle; the hunters he knew lived lonely lives but tended to keep tabs on fellow hunters if only to have a place to crash at night and compare stories.I'll just track Uncle down later and tell him about Lasarra!

He patted Senja's shoulder. "I've heard enough so I'll behave and go back in to rest." He told her. She gave him a distracted smile and kept looking out over the returning warriors.

Girl's probably waiting for her husband, Rayolun thought, hope he shows up soon to ease her mind!

Ime - post 7 (vers. point!)

"I think it does!" she said with a nod. So there had been very few greviously wounded, and she didn't feel so useless. At least Kresimir had not been force to see anything that could destroy his innocent mind.

They had, in fact, found Kelina though. That didn't men the boy's mother seemed all that happy to see them. So Kres had been wandering without permission! Oh boy, she hoped he wasn't going to end up like Miss Ime himself. She'd have to keep her wanderlust in mind around him...

"No, no, he was fine," Ime assured the archer. She decided not to mention that there were long periods of time when her so had apparently been with nobody at all. "It's good to see you safe, Kelina."

Sebastien - post 8 /2

He offered a smile back to the young woman, also unsure what he was being thanked for but pleased that he had apparently helped. He was a little worried to hear the roar of the Arwa, but he was not a war rider, only an assistant when it came to such important beasts. Some day he would be assigned one, maybe.

Of course it was all the more worrisome when the sounds stopped altogether. He could hear jubilation returning to the camp, and that... was not a good sign for the Arwa. He stood with Naevius and went to the edge of the tent. He leaned toward the fabric and furrowed his brow. It sounded like happy Tendajians, actually. Alright, what the hell was going on?

"Hello?" he called out, just in case the guards had not heard or were ignoring the voice of a noblewoman.

Kresimir smiled sheepishly at his mother. He knew she would be mad, but he had planned on that. He really hadn't planned for the battle to be over that quickly but he was glad that it had because it meant that people were happy and safe and his momma was back and they could go home again. He grabbed both Miss Ime's hand and his Mommas and swung them both. "I'm sorry for keeping you from your job Miss Ime. I just wanted you to be safe too." He said sweetly.
