November 14th, 2017: Lanzer Throttle Kitty GeneralHas Gaia Online ever considered trying to improve their usefulness as a social media platform for creators? Maybe allow image, or even video hosting! Sort of like tentacl, But PG-13! I really want to have image and video hosting, that's one of my goal for next year. For now I want to at least have a good API setup for Imgur, but server upgrades are a priority for the time being.

It's okay ,you can tell us. ;D Our current work are NOT EXCITING AT ALL... we needed to upgrade the servers to secure http, update the header across the site so it'll be responsive, but there's something more exciting we're working on which is the Christmas event.

April 3rd, 2018: Lanzer PegasusKenshiro featuresGaia Cinemas coming back, when? I would love to see Gaia cinemas again but there's currently no plans for bringing back the feature as it's flash based and we got stuff like Towns to rebuild first.

April 10th, 2018: Lanzer Throttle Kitty FeaturesIs PocketCon the potential "Video / Image hosting" feature the staff has previously mentioned, or is Gaia getting it's own new feature upgrades like this alongside this new site? Yeah if we setup video hosting feature then Gaia should be able to get video uploads also. We'll see what happens after that project get funded.

May 22nd, 2018: Lanzer castiel lover FeaturesSo, Tinier Me had a popular feature before it closed, called 'Alchemy.' It allowed you to take any two items in your inventory and merge them into one different item. I'd LOVE to see this on Gaia, to help get rid of excess worthless items and bring back some rare items into circulation. On TM, you could put any two items in and get something rare. It was completely random, from what I could tell. Now, because gaia has gold shops, there would have to be a separate prize pool for gold shop items being used. But imagine putting in an old rig item worth 10 plat and a LK egg and getting a completely random item? And sometimes what you get back would be worth less. and that's okay, because you could just fuse it again. Given that we have "alchemy" and "gofusion" taken for names, how about Trasmutation or Transmogrification? Would you guys ever consider adding this feature? Thank you for the suggestion. We will keep the idea in consideration as it's in line with some of the item sink ideas we have.

August 7th, 2018: Lanzer Sanguine Iridescence GAMES: Can Gaia create some sort of trading card game (I'm thinking something along the lines of Triple Triad from Final Fantasy) where players can play against each other or against NPCs, trade/win cards, and collect sets? We've been bouncing back and forth about a trading card game before. I do hope that we have one in the future. 3nodding

(AKA Return from the Dark Ages when Gary 'Goldiemort' Scholfield was terrorizing the site itself?) I think you might mean Meebo. Meebo was a chat program we had on Gaia for a long time, and then Google bought Meebo and closed it. That is the reason it was removed from Gaia.

What are you doing to increase the longevity of gaia as a whole, besides letting it ride on the community/friendships that have been made?
Anything new in the works?
Anything EXCITING?
Also, why is trick or treating in shops still an event? Have you TESTED it? It's literally the most boring thing that you could possibly ever do :c
I miss towns events. Well, the most exciting thing I'm working on is the new Towns system. We will be starting with Rally. This is a remake of the flash spaces into HTML5. This means we will be able to have virtual spaces on mobile devices. I miss towns events too. Maybe we can have them in the future. Lanzer Sorry we had bee super busy with the server migration since 3 months ago, but Codemonkey is busy with the Towns 3 and we should be able to add event activities in Towns after it's completed.

January 2nd, 2019: Lanzer Canicuss Happy New Year to you too! Glad to see we're still here. We're all a little curious how things will proceed from here. Can you give us a hint?  Gaia is running a tighter ship now as we made some changes to make sure that we don't have any side projects, so now there are fewer people here in Gaia HQ as we press on. We are currently working on new events as well as the new Gaia mobile app. We do have plans for other events and features, though we'll announce those once we have an idea on when they'll be released. Lanzer Lil lily91 FeaturesA lot of Gaians (like Lemonazi) have been arguing that a lot of old and new Gaians alike could come sweeping in if we had unique features like we had back in the day, like the Gaia Cinema! Is there any chance you guys can bring it back? Cinemas was written in Flash, so that's another feature that we should move to HTML 5 before re-release. We love that feature, and we'll probably run a few petitions to see what to build after the mobile app is ready. Lanzer eliza_bunnypooh Misc When will we get an update on the state of the site????? A simple road map of what's to happen in the next few months or an itemized list of priorities would be cool... Things had been happening pretty fast in the past few weeks. We will have an update for everyone very soon.

February 12th, 2019: Lanzer SmilingHeart Will there be functionality changes to the way Gaians communicate that we can look forward to in the future? Right now communicating to a friend feels like I'm talking to them via snail mail and really lose engagement in the conversation unless we head to Towns/Rally. We've had various chat functions in the past but somehow they never worked that well. How do you like the current Friends Chat feature and what would you like to see changed?

April 9th, 2019: Lanzer Leo Odjin Features So a friend of mine had brought this to light and made me realize why I started participating in the ats in the first place and I wanted to see if it may be possible to add a banking system. the Gambino bank has been part of the manga and storyline of Gaia online but in terms of features other than the marketplace had no other role. the whole purpose of a bank is to make bank notes, deposit and withdraw money, and fill out money orders to give legal documentation of money to send via mail and wire x amount to another person's banking account. Currently, they use an empty trade to "save x amount of gold/plat". could it maybe be possible to have this become a feature? I feel it may be easier for the ones who are coming back or are new be able to save up for certain goals on their wishlist. while if it is possible maybe be able to set a time where you are unable to use it. for ex. deposit: 14.9kplat unable to retrive ammount until: 10/18/2023 or transfer x amount to username:Transferred from Username:A banking system is something that we talked about many times before. I do hope that we can have a meaningful feature that does more than just accumulate interest. Though for the time being it's still a topic of discussion.

June 10th, 2019: Lanzer Yen Quest FeaturesI know that you're working hard on the mobile app, but is there anything planned for onsite-features outside of events, like sometime in the near future? Last I remember, updating the header image and daily log-in bonuses was difficult on the back end (probably due to agent coding). And a lot of the fixes were made on broken features high above on the priority list (GC related, or help desk, etc). I appreciate all the work you put behind the scenes, but I am rather concerned about the website being stagnant. Last week we released forum battle as a feature, and we have more things planned for the forum and community features in general. If there are anything specific please let me know.

Gaia Theatres return when? Theaters is not in our roadmap right now, it would be fun to build on in HTML5 though. If the demand is high we will definitely reconsider building a new version.

September 10th, 2019: Lanzer Nash-eoke_ the patcher Is it my Imagination or did someone say some time back that there was a Possibility that Gaia would be able to Image Host . You would never believe the misaree that it is just have pictures 3rd party hosted these days . I looked at my Profile earlier today to find the Images on my profile not only watermarked but now completely blurred and unseeable . I found Imgur more than useable but the mount of Trolls , negative commenters and down voters make the site really annoying . Not that -5 really bothers me . But it seems if it's not a Pretty Flower or a picture of a cat they ai'nt interested . I'm probably barking up the wrong tree but . Yes we're working on image hosting as we speak. The feature itself is easy to use, but there needs to be A LOT of moderation tools related to this, which takes a lot of time and effort. We do need to finish building out the Halloween event first but it's definitely coming.

September 17th, 2019: Lanzer Apollos Liar FEATURES / BROWSER EXTENSIONHey everyone. So why are you guys building a browser extension for your own website? Isn't that kind of bizarre? I don't understand why it's necessary to implement a dark theme on the site instead of just editing the coding and giving us a toggle switch. Also, what is this "secondary ad revenue" about? I don't feel safe using the extension at all with that wording. Are you going create pop-ups, override or break our adblock extensions, sell our information, or what? We'll soon have an FAQ on the browser extension for Gaia, it's a sponsorship to promote a 3rd party search engine, and in turn they help put resources into building some features for us, and that happen to be dark mode for forums. There aren't anything crazy like selling user info, and no overriding adblock, those types of stuff.
