I started work on a Leman Russ Executioner, the deadline being 11th of April, for a tank arena event. She's still got a long way to go, but the basics are there, plus I did some experimenting with the colour banding until I found a setup I could look at for more than a minute. The colour scheme is inspired by Tallarn Executioner, which features Imperial Army tanks with grey hulls and red turrets, so why not? And yes, this plasma gun will have glowy bits, just not OSL or the like. redface

Alright, Mortis is, aside from weathering, done: Next up, the Baneblade, for which I've scrounged together a custom commander figure: This is going to be a complete refit: scrape off the old decals, thoroughly clean it of all dust (it spent well over a year at the FLGS in a less than optimal storage case), then repaint and redecal it. Nothing quite as fancy as Mortis, though it will stand out from the rest, if only because it will be my third HQ choice for the army.

Chipping away at my Baneblade: She used to be called "Victoria" because of stuff, but with the repaint comes a new name, courtesy of a decal even older than I am. Farewell Victoria, hello "Four Queens", complete with a few kill badges to show off you're the meanest of them all! It had better be, at 700 pts.. sweatdrop

Started a little side project that I'm planning to have done in two weeks: Skitarii! Everything is stuck together as far as I want it to be, plus I sanded the bases as well, easier that way. Next up, priming with Dragon Red and Leather Brown!

I suppose this is still a thing then. Got a Ghostkeel, not going to start playing Tau, instead I'm going to use it as a Castellax stand-in. Opted for a simple and to the point colour scheme with a few pieces that pop out. The base will be done when I can be arsed. There's also a pilot in the works, she's from the Infinity Bootleg range and a perfect fit for the open hatch.

Too kind, m'lady is too kind.. Anyway, did some preparatory work for the next Ghostkeel: I didn't have any more Taurox turrets lying about and I'm not that fond of trying my luck on-line in search of bits, it's never a cheap thing, so instead I decided to go with a healthy dose of "fornicate it!" and instead just forget about an uniform look for the suits weapon-wise. However, quite pleased with how this one turned out, a quick and simple kitbash using stuff I had lying about. I also (re)based these and put these together so I can work on them all in one go: These will be for a future scenario, maybe Kill-team or something with a narrative involving the assassination / protection of these four on a themed board / setting.

As a consequence of the previous conversion I decided to upgrade the first suit: Impractical? Yup! Rule of cool? 110%! All I need to do now is get the pilot done and I can call this one finished, then onto suit number two this weekend.
