My Long Lost Family Member Soquili in search of a relative:  Relation : Sister Race : Uni-kalona Race : Unicorn What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A small skull splattered with his own blood. Short IC Response: He wondered if this was a hopeless effort, in his mind he knew she had to be dead, that it couldnt be possible for her to be wandering the lands any longer.
But his heart of hearts whispered that it couldnt be possible, he had raised her to be stronger than his mind gave either of credit for.
And now, with a certain stallion in his life..he wanted his sister to be there, to know that he was happier than either of them had ever dreamed for.
His gaze wondered to the sky now, the wishing star shone down upon him brightly, his ears flickered back as he offered the small skull, before drawing his fangs over his own flesh, to let his blood pour over the skull and stain it. "I offer my own life essence to see her again..Id offer my life for hers but its no longer mine alone to offer..Please." He growled out, more emotion than he was used to pounding within him. "Please give me any sign that shes still alive."

A True Friend  Who is Wishing?: Atlas Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Atlas, normally a ball giggles and energy felt an odd sense of somber air fill her. She stared up at the stars, remembering every bed time story her mother ever told her, focusing all her efforts in conjuring up the one singular memory she needed now. The loneliness that crept in on her when she was alone felt to overwhelm her. Even when she spent her time with her brother Pyrr, or others that kept her mind distracted, that loneliness hovered in the peripherals of her conscious, always threatening to make an appearance. Breathing in the cold air, she let it back out shakily. She'd cried more in the last few months than she could have thought possible. After her best friend left her, abandoned her, made it very clear he couldn't care less of seeing her... well... it tore her. Her her heart. But the memory of her mother, telling her of the wishing star that would sometimes grace its viewers with a gift if enticing enough. No, Atlas had not been herself as of late. She'd flown to the top of a nearby stony cliff, thinking a better view would have improved her chances of the star seeing her. Silly, she thought to herself with a soft smile. She stalled time by talking to the star as if it were a friend in and of itself, letting the star know all about her and about what she'd want in a friend. "Of course I don't pretend to know what kind of friend I want or... need, really. I wouldn't care what they were like so long as they had a good heart and could make me smile." She smiled at the thought of someone making her smile. "I'm not hard to please... but I guess I've bored you enough." She turned and stared at the stars; her eyes searching. The stars had been falling for sometime; like a shower. She picked and concentrated on one of them with all her might. "Please accept this as part of my wish." She yelled, hoping that the star would hear her more clearly, too. "It's... well its a drawing. I thought if I painted something, with berries, and mud, and stuff, that made me happy, it would make you happy...and... well. Please accept it." She whispered, looking up at the stars. "Please?"
She didn't know if something epic was supposed to happen, or a lightening storm supposed to role over, or what. But... she waited a few more heartbeats and realized nothing had changed... I guess the star didn't grant my wish... she shrugged, having not realized how high her hopes had been. Turning from the star, she left her painting. She didn't want it anymore. Glancing back, she saw a strong gust had overtaken the cliff, and the painting was lifted in to the air but she looked away before she could see where it went. It was cold and she wanted to be home.

Banshee scowles down at her claws for a good five minutes before finally looking up to the star with a huff, blowing a feather out of her face.
Star... It's chapped my beak since I was a filly. Why... why did mother abandon us? I want to know - I want to demand it from her. But I have never seen her. Please, Star, let me find her. Let me ask her WHY.
I love my hatetalon sisters, and I would give my life for them, but why did my own flesh and blood abandon me? I am not weak.

A rose from her tail attached with a thorn, to symbolize the beauty and the evil within the family. Short IC Response: Arianna sighed and bowed her head, she never thought she'd end up here alone and with no sight of her family. She always had a rough start but this? This was a bit much. Her feelings and emotions were catching up with her and she needed that one person to remind her to be tough again. It wouldn't be her sister, she never expected to hear from her again. But her brother should have known she wouldn't last this long. She dropped a gentle tear and closed her eyes. "Please, brother. I need you."

A bouquet of white, peach, and yellow roses tied with a curled locks of her mane. Short IC Response: The petite cervi hadn't spoken to another in so long she feared her voice had been rendered useless. When she coughed her throat felt awkward, but her feelings were true. She looked to the sky with a soft, yet yearning smile. "Hello, Wishing Star. My name is Chandelle, and I've come to ask you to bring to me my mother." It felt so brazen and rude to ask it so abruptly, but there it was. "She was the original wedding organizer, and she is the one who taught me everything I know about what true love is. It is she that showed me that "love" isn't bound by sex, size or breed, but rather what is in ones heart." She lowered her head, raising a cloven hoof to touch her chest. "I've performed weddings for as long as I've been able, but it's been much...harder than I would have liked without her. A girl needs her mother, you know?" She chuckled weakly, and looked to the sky once more. "Please, if you see fit, bring her back to me."

He'd seen the bright star in the sky and rushed to gather the items he hoped would make a sufficient offering. Carrying the worn leather bag in his teeth, he trudged up to the clearing on the hill. There was a fairly open area in the canopy here and the stallion could view the stars, more importantly The Star. The Wishing Star had returned. He's made appeals to it before and been heard. He figured it couldn't hurt to try again. He stepped to the small rock alter he'd made years ago and dumped the contents of the bag out on the flat stone. With a hoof he arranged the pile of brightly colored eyes, the small bundle of moss, and the new addition of a few gator teeth he'd been collecting. He raised his blue eyes skyward, resting them on the brightest star in the sky.
"Wishing Star, you've helped me in the past, I'm making another wish," he muttered to the sky. He paused to think about what he wanted, then nodded. You've helped me find a daughter and a sister. I know I have more family out there...and that's my wish. I wish to find more of my lost family."

When she stumbled upon Darshan, at first she stalked the poor stallion. She wanted to collect his feathers. Her obsession bordered a bit on insanity that she would try to steal them, but Darshan opted to befriend her and he gave her a few of his feathers in hopes that she wouldn't try to steal them anymore. Temperance, who was always quite the loner and didn't know how to act around other Soquili, was quite bewildered by this strange act of friendship. As time went on, she grew to admire the stallion and even though she knew he would never love her (as he is lovemated to Q), she had heard of the wishing star. She decided she would ask the wishing star to bring her a child like Darshan. So on the night that the wishing star shone bright, she offered a feather of her own along with one of the feathers that Darshan had given her and made her wish.

A very special star that could grant the wishes of Soquili who gazed upon it. This presented Ashriel with something of a problem, as he couldn't do that very thing. He couldn't see it, or, well... anything. But he knew in his heart that it must be there. "My family has always been important to me, star," he told the cool night air. "We're warriors. Fighters on the side of truth and right. I have always tried to be a hero. But star, now that I've found love, I want... some of that family for myself, too. I want us to have a family together." His gaze was fixed and unblinking, hidden behind a dark swathe of hair. The hair served as both mask and armor, concealing his so-called weakness from others.
"I have thought of finding a willing mare, star. But... I just can't do it. I can't do that to my flameheart. It would hurt him beyond measure. I'm not a cruel stallion." They had come together after many adventures, after they'd fought against evil and for the side of good. After they had rescued foals and fillies alike. He'd always had his flameheart to rely on. He'd always counted on Iki'ryo, and there the stallion had been. There was darkness ever lurking, waiting to creep into both of their lives, both of their hearts, but they fought against that, too. He wanted to be a hero. No, not a hero. Iki'ryo's hero. "I want... to start a family with the stallion I love. I want to raise up a batch of warriors that my family will be proud of. I want to know that our legacy will go on."
He felt silly, now that he'd voiced the wish. Now that he'd spoken to thin air. But there was no taking it back. He'd meant every word. Now he'd just have to be ready for whatever consequences that it might have. Iki'ryo would be waiting. He always was. Ever loyal. Ever fond. Ever his. He left the little clearing that had briefly played the part of confidante, and went to find his lifemate, certain that he wouldn't have to search long or far.

The once strong and proud stallion stood atop a hill overlooking the destruction, holding in his anguish. His children were dead. He felt betrayed and angry and just... so, so sad.
He looked up at the stars and let everything out in a guttural roar. Collapsing onto his knees he sighed and glared up at the most prominent, shining star in the sky.
"You gave them to me, only to take them away so soon? How cruel are you, Wishing Star? Give them back... Give them back! I just... I just want my family"
Mest pulled himself together and got to his hooves, not noticing a few bones had fallen from one of his strings. He turned his back to the smoking carnage of his old life and started walking.

Hard and Copena have had several foals now and Hard has resigned himself that they will all be tainted by him and his misfortunes in his youth, though he comes to the wishing star simply to wish for a foal that was not tainted by him, that was more a reflection of him and his appearance before the event, someone normal.

A couple of feathers from the caplet that her father gave her when she was a foal. Short IC Response: She stands quietly on the hilltop in the middle of the dark night. Her head was hung low with her eyes tightly closed as she fought the emotions that threatened to tear her heart apart, the tears resting on her lashes glistened in the moonlight. How long has it been? When will her soul finally rest from the grief she has endured for so many years after losing the only family she had ever really known? Dodie lifted her head, slowly opened her teary eyes and prayed to the bright star. "I...I know...it's been far too long since I last saw him. The chances...that he survived...it's impossible, but I refuse to believe that I've lost him too." She quickly tucked her head and stuck her nose into the feathers in the caplet, trying to muffle her cry before softly whispering, "Please...shine your light for me. Bring my daddy home..."
