Sawenah: Post 2/2 Location:Captured Tents---> Talking with BarAmal
Sawenah uncoiled from her position and stretched, then winced and held her head, "Ugh. This pain is keeping me from everything... Right when I start feeling better I get this sharp jab that is almost paralyzing." She let out a soft pout, but rose to her feet anyway, "I suppose you are right... but I was fed in the healing tents. When was the last meal you ate?" she asked with a soft smile, "There are ways to break people of their ties... I assume they know that and are hoping to use those tactics."
Placing a hand to her chest her vision drifted, "I only hope people hold tight to the hopes that one day we will leave this place and we will see loved ones again.... It has to get bett-" her hands groped around her abdomen, then up to her neck then her head... she looked around, then down and paled slightly, "They took my stuff.... They took my goggles- Takoda's necklace.... " knots began twisting in her stomach as tears streamed from her eyes.

Ethelfleade nodded gratefully to the blind artisan as she seemed to approve enough of her plan that she would go along with it. Now if she could just get the others. It would be difficult since there were so many Obans about, but maybe if she just kept her head down and spoke softly perhaps things would be okay. As Dyakida stood and said it was her "cue" Fleade stood respectfully and watched her go. "Thank you..." She said softly as she too exited the tent.
The light was bright to her eyes that were used to the tent. She didn't want to be a zoo animal so she stayed out of sight. But now she had to do recruiting, to get others onto her plan. After all, it would fail if it were just she and Dyakida. Once her eyes adjusted, she looked over the motley band that had been captured. Some injured. Some young. Some strong. And then the pregnant woman. She sighed and was about to move over towards the largest group but then froze once she saw him. He was looking at her. The one who had captured her. Fleade caught his gaze and held it steadily. There was some malice in her gaze as there might be if you put a cat in a cage, but she couldn't exactly fault him. Roles reversed, she would probably have done the same.
Abandoning her recruitment for the moment. She walked slowly towards the part of the fence her captor stood near. It was then that she noticed the Oban inside the fence and skirted around him. Sure there were things she wanted to do, but like the large shifter male, she did nothing. Ethelfleade walked gracefully even though her ankle killed her with every step. Her back straight, her gaze strong, and her chin high. "Come to gloat have you?" It was more a statement than a question as her voice was relatively flat and emotionless.
BarAmal: Post 2/2 Location:Captured Tents ---> Talking with Sawenah
BarAmal decided laying back when the other injured prentice was trying to get up would be a bad idea. He got up himself with a minor throbbing in the back of his head hoping she would be alright. “Yours is much worse than mine.” On his feet after a moment he gave her an incredulous look. “I think they’d rather poison me than feed me. So not in a while.” He made a face at the idea of breaking others of their ties. His mind went to the shifter who had been fleeing Neued. Very slowly and with clear difficulty he stated the only thought he was willing to share. “True.” A small rant started in the back of his mind about cowards but he figured she didn’t need him ranting at her like a madman.
Her panic confused him until what she was flailing about was explained. “Yes they took most anything that could be used as a weapon or used to end ones self before the fighting started. My mother’s bow is gone as well.” BarAmal had very few precious things to him and the loss of that bow stung horribly. He reached out a hand and gently squeezed his shoulder. “Perhaps if we asked they would at least let you see that your items were safe though I doubt they will give them back.” He removed his hand and doubted even that much but the tears of a woman were a mysterious thing.

Saraf - prentice Location: Near the prisoner's cage - chatting with Ethelfleade Post: 3
To be honest when she appeared from one of the tents Saraf did feel a moment of something akin to excitement. He knew that she wasn't exactly the crowning achievement of prisoners due to the fact that she had been injured before he got to her but still, surely she was a better prize then some. Especially given that she was from a rather far away land, one covered in snow from what he gathered. The place sounded awful but the people that came from there were lovely. To his continued surprised the Ice Tribeswoman locked her gaze with his, still surprisingly rebellious despite the fact that she had been taken and was a captive of the Oban Army now. He supposed it was only natural that they retain their wild spirits for a time but it wouldn't be long before the rest of their people had been taken as well. Maybe then they would just stop flailing about like fish on the end of a line?
After the woman covered the distance between them he gave a bit of a smile, finding her question to be rather amusing, "Of course, you were my first catch and I suppose that you might be someone a bit special to me." He said, giving a casual sort of shrug. She really would be someone that he would remember even after she vanished from this cage to head back to Oba along with all of the compatriots. He'd get stronger, move up in the ranks of the army, and he'd probably capture others to bring home with him but she would always remain special to him due to what she represented with him.

Ogbonna, post two. (With Senja, Nua, and Chal)
Nuawhan's voice was the first thing that interrupted Ogbonna's thrashing. Turquoise eyes flashed upwards, excited, only to be met with the color of the sash upon his lover's arm. Red, he was a loyalist, he agreed with the Obans! Repelled, he launched himself backwards, shuffling towards the tents. His body shook, his eyes grew wide, and tears quickly filled them.
"Nuawhan! How could you betray me?!" He screamed, grabbing the sides of his hair. "You were my best friend! I treated you with so much respect! How could you do this to ME?"
Then, he noticed Senja, and frantically pointed towards her.
"How could you do this to my uncle? To his girlfriend? To my unborn cousin!?" He cried, tears rolling down his cheeks. "I... I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THIS TO ME!"
He curled towards Senja, as if he were going to bury his face into her chest and sob, only to thrash himself upwards again. He took a deep, sharp breath in, clenched his fists, and glared at Nuawhan. He was going to get out. He was going to free everyone. He raced forward again, this time aiming with his shoulder, and continued to slam himself against the fence.
"I WON'T GIVE UP! I'll break myself into pieces before I ever let that happen!" He screamed. "You can take my best friend away from me, you can starve me to death, but I will never, EVER, give up!"

Chalcedony - fortress Location: Captured Tents, with Senja and Oggie Post: 4
The cry that the young Leaf Tribesman gave when he saw his friend was one that dragged Chal out of his thoughts, causing his head to jerk toward where he was. For a moment he was a bit confused as to what had caused him to cry out in such a manner... until it clicked. The blond from outside the tent, it was a friend of his? And the woman, she was his uncle's girl? Things continued to get complicated from all sides... but as he stood there observing he knew that this wasn't something that he could allow. The more of a scene that the boy made the more Obans that would gather... they wanted less of them around, not more. There was a moment where he quieted down, going to cry on the Shifter woman, but it was something that didn't last.
Chal watched as the boy went at the fence again and he moved forward to intervene, reaching out to wrap an arm around the boy, dragging him back away from the fence, "That is enough, hurting yourself with help nobody." He said before he turned his attention to the one called 'Nuawhan' and he said to him in a firm tone, "You should go, your presence is only going to make things worse for him." Best that the two of them were separated by more then a fence before the small Leaf Tribesman actually succeeded in knocking himself out on the fence. Taking a could steps back Chal did his best to drag Oggie along with him, to keep him away from the fence so he couldn't hurt himself on it.
He then looked toward the various Obans that were gather and sighed, "Feel free to stop starring as though our lives are a show for you to find your sick pleasure watching." What a bunch of weirdos he thought to himself as he turned his attention to Oggie, "Shhh... it's alright, shhh..." He said, hugging him closer and patting his back.

SHALVESTA Post 3 xxxxCaptured Tents with Naevius and Ichil.
At least Shalvesta's request had been heeded. Naevius and Ichil agreeing with her was a relief, as at times, among the soldiers, she had come to wonder if her kind had lost some shred of humanity. When Naevius turned to speak to a man, however, Shalvesta took a step back and folded her arms over her chest, ducking just the slightest bit away by dropping her head and averting her eyes. She hadn't realized he was watching, and his presence left her uncomfortable until he left.
But his work was good, and knowing that at least the woman might get more care was enough for Shalvesta. She didn't owe these prisoners more than that, surely?
She continued to watch, however. One prisoner continued to slam himself against the edge of the fences, like a bug caught in a bottle. Escorted by a soldier was a converted Tendaji citizen, whose pale skin and blonde locks stood out sharply against the reds of the Oban people - and his presence seemed to incite rebellion among the prisoners. If anything, the sense of betrayal and utter contempt with which they seemed to regard him convinced Shalvesta that if these people were to convert, it would be later - as time passed, and was not a task to be done quickly during the course of this battle.
So then why were they here??
Amid mulling over this, one prisoner - a large, muscled thing - pulled himself to stand straight and called out, loudly, to the Obans - like herself, Ichil, and Naevius - who had assembled to watch. Was that, truly, what it was like? Was Shalvesta rejoicing in their misery? No, of course not -- but even so she felt her face color in shame. Ducking her head again, Shalvesta reached out a hand to Ichil's arm, curling her hand against her elbow and giving the slightest of tugs. "Perhaps it would be best to... offer our aid elsewhere." There were soldiers to watch the prisoners - and their presence only seemed to elicit a stronger reaction of resentment among the captured.
Using the loud prisoner as a guide, Dyakida made her way to the fence, curling a hand around the hard edges. ”Excuse me.” she cleared her throat, ”I have...” she had to pull this off convincingly... ”Seen the error of my ways.” and she hoped that Ethelfleade would make sure the other prisoners would know what she was doing, ”And I wish to... help...” she had no idea what Obans were nearby, or if they would take her offer, so long denied. ”I am a crafter of weapons for my tribe. If someone could lead me to the armory, I would be honored...” Ooo, she was laying it on thick, ”If I could assist in that capacity.”
Well. That was part one. Part two would come when she was sure an Oban... or a traitor... was listening.
Nuawahn – Wind Healer (Conscript) Captured Tents: The World is falling apart
Nuawahn jerked back, away from the fence, startled and afraid. ”Oggie?” he whimpered, ”I... what?”
Ogbonna had never yelled at him. Ogbonna had never been angry at him. Never ever, ever ever. In fact, Nuawahn had never been the target of so much focused and personal aggression in his life.
And he was afraid.
”Ogbonna, it's me... it... it's me...” Nuawahn began to cry. He was so confused. What did Oggie mean by 'Betray'? Why was he so upset?
He didn't understand.
”Oggie...” the young healer drew forward in concern as Ogbonna started slamming himself against the fence again. ”Stop it! Stop it, please!” he said, desperately, reaching out to his lover to stop him, to heal him, to do something. Oggie was being hurt! Oggie was hurting himself!
Why?! What?
”Stop it, please you're... you're hurting yourself!” Nuawahn was panicking now, his eyes streaming, the tears coiling around the crystals on his face. ”Stop it Oggie, please... Please...” his head throbbed, and he stopped his approach to the fence as his world was suddenly pain, holding his forehead in a hand as the edges of his vision fizzled white.
”Oggie...” Nuawahn managed, ”No... I'm still here...” He was Oggie's best friend, he was Oggie's lover, he loved him... Why did Ogbonna say he was gone? He wasn't gone! He wasn't gone!
Chalcedony's voice cut through the pain like a knife, right through to Nuawahn's heart. ”Making things... worse?” he said, ”I'm making it... worse?” How could that be? Nuawahn was trying to make things better. That was all he ever did!
As the shifter dragged Ogbonna away from the fence, Nuawahn felt pinned. He wanted to argue, to tell the scary Shifter man that he was doing the right thing, that he had to heal Oggie's wounds.
He couldn't.
He let his hands fall to his sides, watching his Ogbonna leave him.
Slowly, he turned and, with some unsteadiness, began to walk away.
He wasn't sure what he felt - perhaps it was nothing at all. He did know that his head hurt and nothing made sense. The pain increased, shoving against his temples until he just needed to... Do something. He didn't know. He leaned against one of the remaining Jahuaran trees and, slowly, as if falling through molasses, he sat down, his back to the tree and the prisoner's tents. He rested his head just between his knees, curling his arms around their tops to ward off the pain in his head.
And there he sobbed, holding his head in the scant shade of the tree.

Ichil - post 4 Ah, what dramatics. A young man seemed to have lost himself entirely, thrashing about and screaming. Captive life was not doing well for him, and the sight of what appeared to have once been a friend was not helping. It seemed insane to put on such a show, being the only reflection of the other Tendajians at the Oban base camp. Then again, she didn't know quite what she'd think if she had been captured and someone like Shalvesta had come to speak to her. She doubted that she would have put on such a scene.
She turned to Shalvesta then, though. The girl seemed upset by it all, or more so by the man that gently chided him. She had been wanting to help, but hadn't shown it. Besides, who was to say what could happen if a noble entered the pen? She imagined that was why Naevius had sent the broad young man rather than entering herself. There was a spark of offense at his insinuation. Did he assume that they all agreed with this sort of neglect? Her lips pursed and hew jaw set, but she said nothing. No words could heal this situation.
"Perhaps we could be of better use in the healing tents, so long as we avoid my father's men." She at least did not want to make things worse. She turned to Naevius and sighed. "Should we move on?"
And then the green woman, eyes grey and sightless, leaned against the bars. What was that? This seemed so strange an offer, and she certainly lacked the capacity to allow such a thing, let alone her questions as to how safe it would be to release any captives.

Sebastien - post 4
He was, reasonably, a bit startled by the sudden explosion beside him. As the boy thrashed and shouted, he reached out as if to try and steady him, but the others seemed to have it under control. When he came close, though, nearly pushing himself into the pregnant woman, he stood onto to watch him throw himself over again. The man who had given him such a stern glance when he had entered the pens was now acting as protector, holding the boy, trying to comfort him.
Was this what came of the clans in war time? He had been hoping to avoid such breakdowns, choosing to believe that his people treated others with at least some modicum of understanding. Then they may not have taken a woman who was with child, or wounded so many in the process. He felt a bit ridiculous, standing there with his arms full of food while one blonde-haired boy caused such a violent reaction. It had seemed safe enough to come inside, but now? He would rather not have to use the knife tucked into his boot, meant more for cutting rope than flesh.
The young man's eyes flickered between the pregnant woman, the boy in hysterics and the man who held him. He wasn't going to just leave without delivering the rations, but he wasn't sure just what to say, either. His brows furrowed, and he turned to the crowd of civilians that lingered around the captives' tents. They certainly did look like an audience from in here...

With the general tending to duties elsewhere, the leader of the camp - at least in dealing with the captives - was the captain. Perhaps someone less prideful would see a ruse for what it was. News traveled quickly of a weapon smith changing her tune, and with a wave of his hand the captain gestured for the woman to be fetched and escorted to the supply tents, where she would be set to crafting weapons.
On either side of Dyakida was a guard, and even once in the tent she was put well under watch.
Thus came another realization, however. The prisoners in their tent were grouping together, and if there was anything about keeping captives it was that once they began to bundle, mutiny became a real threat. Watching out from the tent he'd settled at, the captain began to toss his mind for what jobs the future Oban citizens could be put to work on. For the moment, however, they were left to their own devices.

If there was one thing Fleade could have wished for, it was that the stupid fence disappeared. her captor was right across it and she wanted to face him on even ground. Even when she had been captured they hadn't been even. Her eyes were relatively cold as he revealed that she 'might be someone a bit special to me.' She laughed, even though it was obviously forced. "I'll remember that. And when you and your people are defeated, I'll make sure they don't kill you since you might be someone a bit special to me. Being my first captor and all. But don't worry. I'll make sure you have a smaller cage than this and no one to talk to." She said somewhat sweetly with a smile before turning away.
Her sights turned back on the larger group that had assembled. It was risky to assemble in such a big group but Fleade thought she should divulge her plan quickly so they could get to work so the larger group made more sense to go to first. Her eyes lingered on the oban that was still offering food to the pregnant woman. She thought about just taking it from the Oban but it wasn't being offered to her so she would gather with the group in case he tried anything else. "Are you okay?" She asked to the smaller man encased on the larger shifter's arms.

Naevius was gratefull that Sebastien did as she asked him, and even bringing more than she had really meant. She wasn't worried about 'giving them more strength', only about the pregnant woman. Call it what you want, Nae wasn't about to let a pregnant woman endure the hard circumstances that the captain wanted them all to. She honestly felt bad for some of them, especially after the display of one who had been helping them and one who was captured. What would she do if she was captured and Ichil or Shalvesta was on the other side of the fence. Nae couldn't even begin to imagine.
She felt terrible when the big one yelled at them, it almost made her cringe but all her past experiences helped her to stay strong. It had gotten to Ichil and Shalvesta, though, as they both wanted to go elsewhere. She frowned since she wanted to go with them. "I...I would like to. You both go ahead. I should wait for Sebastien to get out of there. And..." Naevius lowered her voice so that only her friends could hear. "I don't trust the captain. I want to keep an eye on things..." Her hands were grasped in front of her and were grasped relatively tight for any who might pay closer attention to the noble. "Just be careful." She said with a smile to them.

Nkole - Prentice Location Outside Nobel tents heading for the prisioners Post 1
Perhaps he was distracted, the announcement of war had come suddenly. It was time for the troops to move and for once he wished he was back home where his father would be smiling grimly and pointing to a map showing him how the war was going to unfold. Telling him how his strategies were going to win them this war and how the King would reward him lavishly.
These things Nkole would normally nod formally to his father, as his family it was expected to show the utmost respect towards your parents. But now he was here, in the jungle. Putting on an elaborate show so that if word got back to his father he would only hear praise and fitting things expected of his son. Though honestly his goal for leaving home wasn't to gain glory but to find his sister, who had been rather elusive upon leaving the city despite the fact they had a deal.
But with war now actually coming about Nkole had to hide his nervousness, his fear that he would not survive this encounter. He had lingered around the noble's tents his decorative dagger sheath at his waist as per the norm. It's crest allowed those who didn't know him be aware he may be important. Or rather that he was someone to be regarded. Now however he felt a bit lost, his hand idling on the hilt of his rather useless decorative dagger as he paced about the noble's tents and then moving out of dis-interest in talking to anyone in the tents over to where the prisoners were. Perhaps that blind fellow was here...he wouldn't of been surprised if he had been caught.
Saraf - prentice Location: Near the prisoner's cage Post: 4
Saraf starred at the Zenan for a long moment before he started to laugh, finding what she was saying to actually be a bit amusing. Once he was able to get his laughter under control he finally said, "So what you're saying is that you want to keep me all to yourself, hm? To think that Ice Tribeswoman are so possessive... I will keep this in mind and let my fellow Obans know to be careful of your kind." He told Ethelfleade, watching as she turned away from him, trotting off to join up with the rest of her fellow captives. He wondered for an idle moment if they should be letting the lot of them gather up like that in a mob like manner. Maybe they should make them disperse? Or maybe separate them to keep them from trying anything stupid?
Surely the guards that were around the make shift cage would be sure to break things up if it started to get out of hand, right? He gave a sighing sound, debating what it was that he should be doing next when he noticed a fellow Fire Tribesman coming his way. Lifting a hand he gave Nkole a wave before he turned his attention back toward the group of them. Was it just him or did it seemed that more and more of the prisoners were gathering about the big guy? He seemed to think on it for a moment before asking of the newcomer, "Do you think that's a good idea? Putting a guy like that in there? I mean everyone seemed to be gathering around him and his pregnant friend."
Eyes narrowing a little he found himself wondering if the guy who went in there to deliver the food should really just be standing around, starring like that. He was looking a bit like a dunce he thought to himself. Someone really should tell him that it wasn't a good idea to just lag about when dealing with the enemy, "Hey, airhead! Drop off the food and get moving!" He called out to Sebastian, wondering why he was putting himself at such risk? What if one of them decided that they wanted to take out their frustrations on him? Even if the guards got in there to help him it would already be too late. The fact that he was sent in there in the first place was just foolishness if you asked him, the supplies could easily be handed over through the fence or just tossed to the captives. It was the safer way to go about things until these people tamed if you asked Saraf.
