Van felt like he'd been wandering through these booths literally forever. It had only been, what, one hour? Two? A billion? Seriously, he was really bad with time. He just kept listening to his music, and visiting whoever he came across. So far a substantial number of the booths had featured some kind of cold thing, or some kind of wet thing, neither of which he was down with. This one, mercifully, had neither. In fact, it had something else that he loved, something he'd seen at a couple other booths: MUSIC. The other thing he noticed from fairly far away, however, was that there was a very, very strong scent coming from the booth.
In fact, it was more accurate to say he had a really sensitive nose. He gagged and pulled his sweater up to cover his mouth.
"I'm Van, and your music is sooooo fun," he said, from under his hoodie. Weird. Van was weird. When he noticed the grumpkin kings, though, that was totally when he was off to the races. He was so insanely excited just to see them wandering around. "They're like the infestation I have in my room!" he exclaimed, still from within his hoodie, holding his head high to keep it there with pressure as he chased after a few of the sign-wearing grumpkin kings. "I love you, grumpkin babies," Van half-whispered at them, almost looking like he was going to cry.
Honestly, Van was inclined to believe literally whatever Piper said to him. After all, what did he know? If a ghoul said ghouls were better in charge, then sure! Ghouls for Prime minister, ghouls for Mr Amityville! GHOULS FOR MILES.
"I have only one question!!" Van said. Still, from within the hoodie. He did, however, let it slip to ask the actual question. "Are you tough as in your skin is like leathery?? Or what?" And then after a brief pause, as he realized he was inhaling the heart of the smell that probably smelled good to everyone else but was hella overwhelming to his poor tracking nose, he said suddenly: "I HAVE TO GO THROW UP NOW IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU," at which point he kindly ran far away to do exactly that.

Lock had helped Piper out quite extensively with her booth. Certainly he hadn't done even close to a substantial amount, but the fact that he had helped at all was saying something. That he BELIEVED in Piper. BELIEVED IN HER WITH (MOST OF) HIS KOKORO.
Many hours had gone into painting banners (at one point he had misspelled "Piper"- that was both embarrassing and exhausting as he had to redo the entire thing), as well as creating the ink for the henna (it had been a b***h and a half learning a completely new art overnight)- anything for Piper though.
Now this didn't mean he was going to actually help with the booth once it started. Interactions with people were not his thing- he definitely didn't have the hutzpah to put himself out in the spotlight, even for Piper. But he DID have the willpower to silently help her from the shadows (har har, pun completely intended), which included support in the form of the occasional snack run and conversation when no one was at the booth.
"Anything else you need, Miss President?" he asked with a small smile on his face. He wouldn't deny the fact that he did think Piper as president was funny. Not because she was incapable (on the contrary, he thought quite highly of her leadership skills), but instead because she was a close acquaintance, and thinking of her as president was akin to thinking of Brenley (BROS) as president. The image he had in his head was still that of the awkward teenage ghoul at the prom dance last year.

Of course, as Piper had stopped by Ignatius' booth, so must Ignatius stop at Piper's booth.
It was a sort of bros code, or a ... sis and bros code or ... something like that. But it didn't matter, ultimately, as he strode up to Piper's booth with a gallant, louder-than-necessary, "Hello!" and a fancy half-bow to follow. Piper's booth was similarly loud as his, although from a different angle, and Ignatius could readily appreciate that.
"Hope it's been going well over here, too?" as Ignatius asked this, he took aim at Piper's game, quite ready to hopefully fetch himself another beanbag. (The other one was tucked into his pocket.) Or, at least, he thought he was playing. Once he caught the first one, he figured the game was done or ... just got distracted by something else, considering he didn't even notice the other four beanbags.
"Cotton candy!"
Sugar was delicious.
... Not that he needed any more.medigel see i'm also late ... because slow and steady right.

Wishing fountain, huh? Cuties. "Nice seeing you too," she replied with a grin, pretty sure the snack thing was just a ruse to go make out somewhere. You go right ahead, Jory, go get you some. "Don't go getting too crazy!" "I'm more than lovely, spook," Piper decreed with a fluff of her hair, "but thanks~" She popped him a capsule for his troubles and waved him off, sighing a little dreamily. Pretty boils. Probably already taken knowing her luck, but still lovely to look at. "Have fun with the rest of the carnival!"
Hitsuzen more like sorry for the late quote ahahahaha i kill me Piper puffed up with pride at the compliment to her summons. "Sometimes they're little shits," she confided to the monster, "but I love 'em."
If the ghoul was a do-gooder--wait, do-maker? do-dooer? hah she said doodoo--ANYWAY if she got things done, the reaper could get behind someone like that. She shook Trisha's hand and thanked her for the ribbon. "I'll stop by later and see what ya got then! Thanks for stopping by."
phantompanther13 retroactive posting srry cry The next ghoul's energy was infectious. "Thaaaaaank you!" Piper chirped, grinning. At least it looked like that to someone; frankly she was getting close to exhaustion with all the constant summoning. "Which means you're totally awesome, amirite? Awesome people get awesome stuff."
Alette was allowed a choice of henna tattoos anyway as well as the beanbag. Swag swag swag. She laughed. "Damn straight my music's fun! This doombox only plays the good stuff."
At the compliment, all the minis crooned. "Aren't they just the best," Piper agreed. Even Tempo sniffed, though he remained haughty nevertheless, as if maybe the boil's words were only expected.
The question was a little...unexpected, and Piper gave him a funny look. "Well, no, I'm just a reaper but--"
Oh...wow, unholy hell that boil was quick. Or maybe that was her just getting tired? "My boilssssssss~" Piper was delighted to see Lock and Ignatius over and clapped her hands with a grin. "Help yourself to the leftover cotton candy! Didja guys have fun? I'm good here, just getting ready to clean up . . ." Which meant more like it was soon time for them to clean up.
Speaking of. She leaned over the counter to check on Brenley. "Yo, B-Ren, the posse's here. You done yet?"

Shoving his black cloak into his case moments before Piper came to check on him, Bren looked up at her with an expression he hoped seemed innocent. He hadn't planned on running off when he'd agreed to show his support, but he couldn't have guessed that student council campaigns would actually be interesting. Plus, he had needed to stretch. And he'd wanted spookies. He nodded.
"Yes, I'm ready when you are." Bren peeked over the top of the counter's edge, acknowledging Lock and Ignatius with a nod. Oh yeah. Piper had mentioned cleaning too. "Should we just... roll everything up?"

Aisha drifted by the booth, just to get a look at all the candidates before the election started (and before the carnival ended). "I love your hair!" She complimented the ghoul who was running the booth.
It was a bit late, she didn't much feel like playing games, but she did check out the minis and the ghoul's particular plans for the school.
