Blue Lophorinth: 2d20 Strength, 5d20 Speed, 2d20 Toughness
(Rolling speed)

Attention was great. No, attention was awesome as long as it didn't involve ichor. As Banshideth's ire seemed to pass with the entanglement of the two browns Loph ducked back into the fray. The attention had been off of him for far too long. ~ Asleep?! How could anyone sleep when you are out here glowing in all of your glory! You and me b- Banshideth (He caught himself from calling her baby again) We go together so well! You and I are like the Sun and the moons! Well, one of them. Magith can be Timor. He's smaller. I'm Belior but it's all good! You're the brightest one in this sky anyways gorgeous!~ He knew this would be one of his last chances before his strength gave out, if not his last and Lophorinth did nothing by halves!

The dark blue flipped around, flashing his chest again before twisting himself through the air, coiling in what he assumed was surely an impressive and graceful manner despite the way his wings clawed at the air around him to pull off such a strange and unnatural position while not falling out of the sky. He dove a short distance, using the drop to try and gain some speed on her, before coiling himself again just beneath and behind her. Lophorinth flipped upside down again to flash the bright marking on his chest then righted himself, gliding in a attempt to catch his breath. The muscles in his wings and back visibly twitched as he strained to maintain what little he might have gained.

Acriculeth had to admit that he was a little impressed by how well the blues were doing, perhaps this was an effect of the environment? A gold who did not actively rebuff them for the 'audacity' to chase her, and likewise no cabal of bronzes trying to swat the smaller dragons aside. He didn't care especially that the meritocratic - if vicious - system was fairer or at least not on a moral level, it was reassuring to know that the best ruled the rest rather than the largest or luckiest.

Acriculeth replied simply as he powered on after the gold, banking slightly to avoid the stunts that a couple of the other males pulled.

13, 12, 15, 10, 17, 20
(Rolling for Speed)

Purpose? What did the Bronze mean by purpose. Did there need to be a purpose for bloodshed? There so rarely was...

He was interrupted in his musings as another brown was flung at him, shoving him into the main nucleus of the group. He bugled in surprise and upset, feeling his hide torn by claws around him.

But he was upset. Ichor was to rain, that was sure, but not his, not his, definitely not his. he rumbled back, privately and apologetically as he flapped frantically to make up for his lost time.

he said to Banshidheth, trying to keep his voice calm,

He crooned as he managed to return to the main plane of the chase, but he was afraid.

So afraid.

[NPC] Brown Ititth
3d20 toughness

Ititth tirlled. Banshidheth was finally ready to be impressed. A performer does better with an appreciative audience, he said softly to the queen. She was the only one he needed his performance to appeal to. What would make her look favorably upon him?

Suddenly the brown folded his wings and dropped, when he was going quite fast he snapped out his wings and swooped upward. At the top he looped over in a back flip. Coming down out the loop he spotted one of the other browns and swept by him trying to use his wake to disrupt the other's flying.

Blue Magith
((Rolling Speed)

The message from the bronze was...surprising... but not unwelcome. It didn't take him but a moment to know what his answer was, and he responded back to the bronze.

He had not planned for this to be something that would draw the attention of anyone, but since it had, he wasn't about to turn it down. Plus it sounded as if the bronze, or perhaps his rider, had similar ideas. A willing pair of conspirators were always welcome as allies. The blue answered. He had no qualms about not consulting with his rider, E'lov would agree with him, and really this wasn't the place. Everyone was a little preoccupied.

His eyes whirled in amusement as the gold chastised her followers, claiming that they must still be asleep. She had a point, none of them were really doing their best to show off, but, on the other hand, perhaps it wasn't really their fault. Old habits were hard to break, and with most of the being brown, perhaps they were just not used to being the main competition for a gold. Maybe they were used to being like him, trying, but not expecting to win.

He was just about spent, his energy low, but there was still some left in him, and perhaps between he and Lophorinth, they would challenge the browns to do better. It would be rather pathetic of them to let a blue beat them.

He flew upwards and then dove, spinning and weaving through the other dragons. He was not as noticeable as some, but he was swift and his movements smooth.

Rolling strength

NPC Brown - Goroth (R'gar)
Strength = 4d20

Goroth was losing patience now. The Bronze infuriated him, the Blue was showing him up. He was more determined than ever to catch the Gold, he had nothing specific to prove to anyone else, but he had to prove it to himself that he was better than that stupid Bronze, that despite the pluckiness of the Blue, he would win out, for his own sake. He growled low, lashing out at any male close to him. She wanted split Ichor, then damn her shiny hide, she was going to get it.

Brown Snalth
Rolling Toughness (4d20)

He snarled back at the brown that lashed out towards him, the claws digging into his hide. Snalth was dripping ichor now, but that was of no concern to the brown. It was only a fleshwound, and he didn't mind bleeding.

He struck back at Goroth, intent on injuring him. He might not catch the queen, but perhaps he could keep another distracted enough that he couldn't either.

We awaken to your call. Though some of us may be slow and steady. Toroeth replied, finally adding his voice to the suitors. Now was the time to show off what his size could do for him. Far below, his rider J'rold cheered him on, hoping to show that his brown was worthy of a gold.

It was not easy to get past the bronze or the other folds but Toroeth was finally able to make his bulk seen by Bandshidheth. Please don't forget those who are not so showy but who are just as loyal.

Each one was considered, her flight slowed but steadily rising as she observed the males. Most of them spoke to her, others performed impressive displays, or exchanged blows. Finally. She wanted to see them. And to let them know she had seen them, she spoke to each in turn; recognition, at least, she could give them all...even if it wasn't good in all cases.

You talk too much, Lophorinth, she said to the flirty blue. Stick to flying. You are better at it.

Rugarth. You perservere, though I injured you. Good.
Hopefully she had done no permanent damage to the brown.

So you are, Acriculeth. But that would be a predictable ending, don't you think?

I am disappointed, Gohulmordth. You call for violence and ichor, but show me none.

At last, Ititth made himself known, and in a most creative manner. Disruptive, but not violent. I could be most appreciative, if there is more where that came from.

You impress at every turn, Magith, and put the brawn here to shame. I hope that this will not be the last time we share the sky. It was hardly a promise, spoken more like idle pleasantry, but it was spoken nonetheless, and Banshidheth was not one to waste words.

Though loyalty is admirable, I need more than that. I need a worthy sire for the future of the Wherholds. If that is you, Toroeth, you must prove it!

You may need to strike harder, Snalth, to penetrate his thick skull.

And lastly, cold as ice: Give up, Goroth.

All this flying and showing off must be taking its toll. Roll Strength!

Brown Rugarth

Ah, she'd noticed him, and shown approval! That was very hopeful indeed. The Flight had been going on that his wings were beginning to feel the strain, but Banshideth's few words invigorated him. He gave a quiet, pleased rumble and beat his wings hard as he fought to gain ground. He could do more than just keep up, he was sure.

[NPC] Brown Ititth
3d20 strength

He continued down under the other dragons. Leveling out he pulled his wings in close and spiraled through the sky horizontally. It didn't get him any closer to the gold in regards to distance, but he was willing to risk it to impress her.

All of it is for you beautiful lady, Ititth kept his voice soft. His momentum falling he came out of the spiral with a flare of his wings. The brown rowed his wings then leveled out as he crooned a song toward Banshidheth. At each pause he would climb a bit higher or preform another trick in the air. He wanted to prove that he could sire desirable hatchlings; babies that were strong, agile, swift, smart, and healthy.

NPC Brown - Goroth (R'gar)
Strength = 4d20

Goroth glared at Snalth, who had scored furrows along his hind quarters, he let himself slow slightly to let the other male draw level before slashing at Sna;th's neck in return.

When the gold spoke to him, he turned his attention to her instead

He pumped his wings hard, striving to catch her. If he was interested before, he was more determined than ever now, he would show her! .. he would show them ALL.

Blue Magith

No guarantees, no promises, but truth. She was a queen that he could respect, and he was glad that she was a part of the wherholds.

Unfortunately, he couldn't fly much longer, his eyes tinged with the grey of exhaustion. He looked over the other dragons, and then, spoke once more to the gold. He saw no reason to respond to the bronze, they had both spoken, and would speak again once this was over.

He would retire now, to curl up with his rider and sleep, as pressing on would only cause him pain. He wasn't built to last, but Magith was certain of one thing. He had done well, and while he hadn't won her, there was always next time.
