He was starting to get looks of pity. It took him - he didn't know how many tries, and he'd held up the line... but he'd finally won, though it sort of felt like an empty win... that black Gnome had it out for him! +8

Alicia handed over her seeds then grabbed the controls for the purple gnome. She really hoped she wasn't about to make a fool of herself. Ok that was not what she was hoping for but she could have done worst, she was pretty sure she hadn't made a complete fool of herself.

Lusine was back! She didn't want to let that pesky gnome get the best of her. She played as hard as she could, but how did she end up with negative seven points!?!

Rhiannon waited for her turn at the booth, admiring its great choice of color scheme. Whoever made this had put a lot if effort into it. The witch tried her best at the game, but her (thankfully not real) gnome had been practically beaten to a plastic pulp.

She tried her luck again, this time using the controls wisely. Somehow she managed to get in a few measly punches at the other gnome, surprising herself by winning the game. Face your demons 5 + 3 - 5 + 3 + 5 = 11 Ticket, please? ^^

Aureole had barely started this game til the other gnome practically beat hers into next week! She blinked several times before backing away from the machine and continuing into the carnival.

Again it was a battle of the gnomes. Meixiang's gnome didn't do too bad. Although she wondered just how accurate to gnome strength this game really was. 3 + 5 + 5 = 13

Thirty seconds seemed like such a long time to Jude. Thirty seconds of agonizing, brutal plastic gnome death.

Quillan waited for the game to start, but it just froze. He was about to ask the ghoul, when the button started responding and his gnome attacked the other gnome. Then the game froze again and his gnome was beaten to a pulp before he knew what was happening. The ink demon was beginning to wonder if the game was rigged.

Wow. Lou was really determined. Amarus played like seven rounds or something with him before he gave up. She was impressed by the sheer determination, but it ended in failure, ultimately. She carried on playing with the next one, a ghoul who although she had her gnome shiv'd right at the end very violently nevertheless lasted a new high score. "Congratulations," she said, "you receive the booth mini." She handed a pouf out.
Amarus smiled fondly at Llyr as her acquaintance-friend-dream squeezed her hand affectionately before he played and subsequently lost, but barely! "That was terribly well-played, Llyr," she complimented him, certain no one else was within earshot.
The next player again lost like a hundred times, but was so very determined she eventually did get to hand them a raffle ticket. "Don't spend it all in one place," she joked, though her expression and tone were flat.
After a few more contestants, again Amarus was able to hand out a ticket, this time to Rhiannon. She would have thanked her, had the witch ever said aloud she had a nice booth. Amarus had, in fact, built a lot of it herself. Probably with uncredited help, though.
Meixiang was one of the more impressive gnome-smashing-opponents Amarus had faced so far, and she actually used all of her fingers to play the game this time, instead of lazily poking at a single button and only using one fist. It was great! In the end, Amarus was happy to hand out a ticket to someone who'd actually scored above ten!

Yes, 29 seconds was definitely a long time for that plastic gnome's instant-death to last. That was one slow death by fatal wound. The poor thing's plastic innards lay scattered on the boothtop.
Jude wondered how many replacement gnomes the ghoul running this booth had.
