Well, perhaps he was being too pessimistic at the beginning. His mallet had just come in contact with another poof, so this just might be his luck. He might just be lucky today.

He grinned as he hit another poof and swung his mallet again for another try...and missed.
Well, it had been a pretty good run for as long as it lasted. He put his mallet down.

Naoki had never been to a carnival before, mostly because her parents deemed it unnecessary for their children to attend such "foolish things". Hiking up her dress slightly as she wandered over to the Whack-A-Poof, her wings fluttered as a smile approached her features, seizing the mallet. "Here goes!"
.... And then she promptly reassured everyone that she indeed sucked at speed based games.

Well, the first time was... well, her first time. As in, she never had played a carnival game in her life. Maybe, once she got used to it, she'd actually hit something. Sucking her teeth and pouting, she cocked her hips to the side and stared intently at the board.
"I'll show mother." Her strange, slightly echoey voice mumbled as yet again she missed a poof completely.

But wait! That was all imaginary! She hadn't even swung at the board! Hopefully this wasn't a sign she was having issues with her memory like her grandmother.....

Roll One: MissRosy was excited for the Carnival, as it meant games and just spending some time with Spinar. Pulling her eyePhone out of its pocket, she glance at the time to make sure she wasn't late. Seeing she was actually early by a few minutes, she glance at the game she was standing in front of.
Whack a Poof?
It seem pretty interesting to her, so she turns towards the game. Brushing her hands against her jeans, she picks up the small mallet and takes aim.
Only she actually didn't hit anything.
Wrinkling her nose up, she sighs "This is alot harder then it looks."

Naoki grumbled lowly as fireballs appeared around her, summoned by her irritation. Slim fingers gripping the mallet, she raised and.... missed. Not only that, she slipped and fell head first into the game.

Ah! Ah! Her arms raised in triumph shortly after she actually hit something! Smile wide and flames dancing around her, the demon's wings flapping like a pleased bird. Tapping her horns with her fingers, a small happy quirk, she beamed. Maybe this was a change!

Lock was sort of sad that the booth owner was making him hit poofy things, but then he began associating them with Voodoo and it wasn't so bad anymore.
Too bad he was a huge wimp with terrible aim.
