Oh man, there was this one time...
Prompt reply: Luan Blackcape felt especially hesitant about the coming-of-age trial. It was not the journey that gave her pause but the chance of failure. Her sisters had proven themselves to be strong deadly warriors. What if she was the weak link? What if her perceived strength was only a weak Illusion and her hard won skills were only good enough for the training fields and not for battling real opponents. Luan family loathed weakness and she felt anxious about the coming trial. Once the trial occurred she would probably come to terms with her anxiety, but it was the feeling of fear and anxiety that were the true enemy. Not the opponent she would meet on the battle field. She needed to calm down or she would let her turmoil control her and makes mistakes on the mission that could be deadly.

Prompt reply: Twitching with nervous energy the time of the trial couldn't come soon enough. They'd packed, unpacked, repacked their supplies four times over now, and while they were sure they had everything they needed, they were still sure they were forgetting something.
Why did time have to be so slow when you wanted something!? And they were more than ready for this! Spend their entire youth training for this one moment! This one glorious moment! And it couldn't get here fast enough. It was if someone was out there, holding back the sunrise, the signal that would cue their slow, solo walk from the herd out into the unknown.
Well nothing to do but try and get some rest, as futile as that sounded. The dawn would come when it was supposed to and not a moment sooner. A good lesson to start this journey out on.
