I've already sworn myself off of Gold Gen items, and for the most part, Cash Shop in general. Made back most of the gap by selling items I don't use anymore at a discount, but... This has taken things for a turn for the worse. What's anyone's opinion on Gaia using even this guild's event as their attempt to perpetuate the economy a little bit more?

I pledge! 3nodding Ever since these gold gens were added.. the Marketplace has been out of control. Newer players might not even stick around seeing as to all the good items are listed for billions (or more) and the only way to get close to that amount is to spend outrageous amounts of real-life cash on this website.. I don't know about you, but if I were a newer player.. I'd leave right away.

i, aryal_glorious, absolutely refuse to buy gold generators of any kind.
they're killing the economy & i would rather earn my gold the hard way, not have to buy it with my hard earned money. i admit that i have bought them in the past, still have a few in my inventory. will probably give them to my daughter or granddaughter or grandson.
the powers that be know that these things are not good for the economy. they just don't care. they just want our money. i know that this site needs money to operate on but, they are too damned greedy. $50.00 for a pixelated item?? seriously??? i would rather spend my money on things that i need like groceries, gas, cell bill, ect...

It's ridiculous with all of these items that used to be "expensive" at hundreds of millions are now in the high billions and low trillions.
Common items are in the millions.
Really?
I'm sick of counting out billions to do things on here. Newer members don't want to stick around, and TBH this economy is driving a lot of older players away too.

I'd leave right away. yeah, if i were a n00b i wouldn't hang around long. everything nice to have is too damned expensive. i remember when all i wanted was a nitemare bustier & had to post & vend like crazy to get one. my daughter's friend gave me the demon horns that i was spazzing about. after almost 10 years i am still questing for the original devil tail. was almost there then this damned inflation happened. scream

I used to buy them not knowing the effect on the economy. I only bought them because I felt i couldn't keep up without them. I also experienced some extremists insisting on buying nothing from cash shops at all and being really rude about it.
However, over time I built a more balanced approach by just not buying the generators. I am actually enjoying gaia more without them. the challenge of earning gold is much more satisfying.
