There was no mistaking the fact that Jake wasn't giving Aiden any breathing room. No mercy. No regrets. Hell, Aiden might as well have been a moving target from the sound of the bell. Aiden came in with a strategy, but Jake came in simply wanting to destroy Aiden. Clearly Aiden would have to determine a new strategy or get lost in Jake's destruction. While contemplating his options, Aiden found himself at the receiving end of yet another boot-bound assault as Jake rand from the adjacent set of ropes straight towards him. Slamming his boot across Aiden's face and making Aiden's head snap to the left real fast. Obviously, Aiden's neck was not in a good shape to be taking this much damage and it was visible by how Aiden immediately went to clutch at his neck and kicked the ground with the toe of each boot. Gritting his teeth and fuming internally since it was starting to seriously ******** hurt.

What he had learned from Aiden in their first contest was that there was no window of free-time in a wrestling match. Despite how proud he was to be putting a beating on Covell, Roman thought that he could kick the will to compete out of the high-flyer, and perhaps since the momentum had shifted, Jake had already done damage that Aiden wouldn't forget for a long time. The kid went to roll Covell on his back and hook the leg for a pin attempt.

One!

Two!

Pissed off and just getting angrier by the minute, Aiden was waiting for the pain to subside into aggression. He was waiting for his aches and pains and soreness to fuel into an aggressive offensive scheme that would make Jake feel the same pain that he had put Aiden through. Whether it was Jake's head, back, or leg. He knew that without a leg, Jake couldn't keep himself sturdy or do as many big boot.s that's why Aiden loved to target Jake's legs. What better way to bring the tree down than to chop away at the roots. Feeling his body being rolled over, Aiden listened to the ref count away at another close pinfall. One! . . . Two!. . . Instead of raising an arm or shoulder, Aiden kicked out of this one with much force from his own legs. Really the only place that he could thankfully admit that hasn't been targeted yet.

Again, Jake had failed to get a three count out of Aiden. Of course it would take more to shut down the Air Force. Jake liked to mat wrestle, but the fact that he was being able to tee off on Aiden so easily made him much more optimistic about his chances tonight. So Roman went to pull Aiden up by his arm and push him against the ropes, looking to irish whip him in the opposite set of ropes. In anticipation of Covell being shot back his way, Jake bent forward to look to back drop the smaller man.

Where there was a will, there was a way. In Aiden's predicament, the only thing he had was a will. A will to quit, or a will to survive. A will to b***h, complain and mope about his injuries. Or a will to suck it up and deal wit hit by turning his pain into punishment towards Jake. Tight, glove covered knuckles dug into the mat as Aiden slowly started to balance himself out and get to his feet. There Jake was, ready to get right back on the prowl and take Aiden down once more with an Irish Whip. With a jerk of his arm, Aiden was sent across the ring towards the opposite side of the ring and ricocheted back. He accepted the ricochet and came back to Jake at a fast paced jog, but didn't fall for the back drop. Once he saw Jake backdrop, Aiden dropped to his knees and let his forward momentum slide him along the surface of the mat towards Jake. Once he was close enough, Aiden looked to send an uppercut right into the face of Jake to catch him by surprise within his slide.

And directly into the chin of Jake's face went Aiden's fist, the sliding uppercut being something that he had not seen before, even in their prior encounters. It seemed as though the two were willing to unload their entire arsenal for the sake of victory, and not only did these moves catch Roman off-guard, they hurt like Hell. He felt as though his chin was quickly jammed into his face. Holding his jaw for moral support, Jake stumbled backwards and sat down on the middle rope, holding the center of his jaw in a surprised, painful state. It wasn't long at all until Jake rose from the middle rope, but he still found himself prone as he tried to nurse his chin with the palm of his hand.

Finally, Aiden could catch a break. The uppercut made it's mark and Aiden was slowly but surely building up a sense of how to put control back in the match. Seeing where Jake had stumbled back, he could see that he was close enough to the turnbuckle to where Aiden could put forth a new series of moves he had trained over the course of the wee. In this case, kicks. Waiting and judging how far he would have to jump to impact Jake, Aiden calculated his steps. Taking a few steps back, Aiden waited until Jake slowly got off the ropes before he would run forward and leap onto the middle turnbuckle with his left foot. With that same foot, Aiden would launch off the turnbuckle and attempt to clock Jake on the side of the head with a Matrix Wall Kick.

Slowly, like a tipping tower of Jenga, Jake had his head rattled from the awe-inspiring kick to the jaw and fell face-first onto the canvas. Roman's face was throbbing from the swift offense of Covell, and nobody -- not even the mentor that was AJ Warner watching from the back -- would be able to predict such a unique maneuver from Aiden. For being such an arrogant a*****e, the crowd loved Covell's unlimited arsenal. Jake, however, did not, as he found himself eating a face-full of wrestling mat once again.

Sureely, the crowd hadn't seen such a move executed in the middle of a wrestling ring before. It was obvious by the sound of 'Ohhhhhh's heard from the people in the bench and seated on beach chairs. Clearly a move he'd have to do again in the middle of a packed arena just to get a bigger 'pop' perhaps. Feed his ego. Make the crowd eat up what he was doing. Make them believe they were on his side. Trick them into thinking he'd let them be an inspiration for how he did things in the ring. But in reality, it was all Aiden. It was fully his decision. He pulled the trigger when it came to explosive maneuvers and strikes. If he didn't, who else would? Seeing Jake on the ground laying right on his face, Aiden was pleased to see Jake's head was taking some damage now. To add insult to injury, Aiden would jump up and look to send a leg drop on the back of Jake's neck for added emphasis.

Aiden's leg came crashing down on rear of Jake's neck, causing him to wrap both arms behind his neck shortly thereafter and roll around the ring, clenching his eyes shut and wincing in pain. The weight difference was neither here nor there -- having a full grown man jump into the air and land on the back of your neck would hurt anyone, no matter if they were a disc jockey or a professional wrestler. Kicking the canvas was a frustrated and damaged Jake Roman, already a bit winded from the fierce competition that had taken place between the two tonight.

Matrix kick? check. Leg drop? Check. The follow through on the kick was well worth the wait and now, it would seem as if Aiden had a chance to take a breather. Because now, he would. Walking over the the same turnbuckle he used as a lunch pad, Aiden sat on the top turnbuckle and placed his hands on his knees. Taking deep breaths and rolling his neck around a bit to ease the pain and loosen it out a bit. Consider this a reprieve for Jake too since Aiden had a better offensive standpoint with Jake standing up then on the ground. Jake took care of the ground game and the heavy strikes as well as efficient grapples. Aiden was adept with stand-up offense, aerialism and quick, creative strikes. Thus, Aiden could permit Jake a minute or two to recover before Aiden himself had recovered well enough for comfort. Purely for his own personal gain.

It's not that there were cobwebs that needed to be shaken out of Roman's hair; it was the fact that there could have been many kinks in his neck by now from all the damage done to his facial structure. His whole left arm was now smeared with blood, the cuts already healing however. The kid pushed himself up, his bloodied hand gripping the back of his neck. Jake's eyes were still tight shut as a natural reaction to someone in a tremendous amount of pain, and when he pushed himself, he opened his eyes... but where was Aiden? Rather than being careful, Roman slowly turned and let his eyes scan his surrounding until he saw Aiden Covell perched on top of the turnbuckle. As prepared as Jake thought he was for countering Covell's air assault, he blanked at the wrong time and had no idea what the aerialist had in store.

Taking advantage from the lack of combat temporarily, Aiden utilized the moment to roll his neck around a bit. Hearing a few pops and feeling quite a bit of stinging sensations. Soreness in the muscles and obvious pain when he tilted his neck a certain way. Nothing a good neck rub, a message therapist or a spa treatment visit couldn't take care of. Seeing Jake start to stir and get up to his feet, Aiden saw this as an opportunity to hop down and initiate a grapple attempt. Closing in on Jake and looking for a collar and elbow tie-up, but hoping to convert it to a nicely locked headlock and apply adequate pressure.

Whew. Thank the Lord that Aiden wasn't thinking of flinging himself off the top rope, otherwise Jake would've been thrown off even more. Even though the lock-up attempt was a surprise to the Empire as well, he was glad that it didn't benefit Aiden's momentum as much as one of his many air-based attacks. The quickness of Covell was able to put Jake in a tight squeeze with the side headlock. Roman would attempt to backpedal himself into the ropes and push Aiden off into the parallel set.

Applying a good amount of pressure to Jake's head, Aiden made consistent jerks of his arm and varies levels of torque. All from dropping to one knee, all the way to stamping on the ground just to vary the pain levels. Jake clearly had enough when he had backpedaled Aiden into the ropes and signaled for him to take the Irish Whip. Aiden complies and was sent across the ring willingly. But on the way back, Aiden looked to strike with a quick Koppu Kick within a somersault forward to catch Jake off guard once more and display yet another new maneuver to his arsenal.
