Brendon pulled to male practically up against him. I really don't care if I brought hell upon my kingdom or if I die with you or not. Many of you will be taken down and I'll be able to die then. he growled down to him. If he died then he would be with Ace then. Noticing a familiar birthmark memories of the last time he saw Ace alive flashed through his mind. Ace was dead so there was no way this was him. He had been here when it was destroyed. Pushing those thoughts from his head Brendon led the male to his horse being slightly more gentle than before. He wasn't sure why but something was telling him to be slightly more careful, maybe it was the nagging feeling that maybe he was wrong about who was really died there.

✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"All is fair..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿  Ace growled hearing his comment. Did he really not care about what happened to all those innocent people die. He made him sick. However at the same time when he looked at the male in his eyes he only remembered his lover. Tears came to his eyes but he blinked them away quickly. He got on the horse when he was helped but he blushed because he felt the male's arms around him when he grabbed the reigns. When they got to the palace one of the maids helped sneak Ace in because even she knew that if the king and queen found out that the enemy's only child was here they would kill him. "Sir, I'll bring your food right away." The maid said before she left. After a bit she came back with food for both princes but Ace refused to eat. Ace had slowly begun to damage himself and didn't eat anymore. He was slowly getting weaker because of him starving himself. ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"...In love & War..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿

Brendon climbed on the horse behind the prince. Wrapping his arms around him Brendon slightly blushed. It had been so long since he had anyone even close to being in his arms, the last person had been Ace. At the moment he felt it might be interesting to keep him alive at the moment. Meaning hiding him from practically everyone. There were a few in the palace whom would keep the secret. Arriving he let the maid quickly sneak him in and up to his room. Taking the horse to the stables he turned and went inside. Thankfully he wasn't wearing any of the armor today. It was never fun to wear for a whole day. Passing the maid he heard that his food was in his room. Nodding he heading up and quickly slipped in making sure no one saw the person in his room. Taking a plate he sat down on the chair an ate some before noticing the other hadn't even touched his food. Starvation is one of the worst ways to go so I suggest you eat something. he suggested to the male. He had seen people die many different ways and starvation took about a month to finish off the person.

✿*ﾟ’ﾟ･✿Prince Ace Minemoto✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿ ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"All is fair..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿ Ace just looked down at the food but still refused it. He was actually weak at the moment because he hadn't eaten in a couple of days. He gently laid against the wall and curled up holding his legs to his chest. He was starting to shake a little. When the maid came in to pick up the plates she saw how the prisoner was. She went over to him and felt his forehead before retracting her hand quickly. "Poor boy, you are burning up. " the maid said softly. "Your highness, do you want me to tend to him?" She asked. Ace didn't look mean he looked gentle and fragile especially with how flushed he cheeks were. Brendon would eat some of his food before glancing up. Seeing the male curled up against the wall. Sighing he finished his food and looked to the male. Hearing the door open he glanced over seeing the maid. Yes please do. he said looking over to the male. I'll be back in a moment your highness she softly said before leaving with the plates. How are you feeling? he asked him. Brendon was quite unexperienced in being around people who were sick. Getting up from his spot he sat down next to the male. He had a much more gentle expression he no longer was wearing the side of him blinded by anger and grief. He looked much like the Brendon the Ace had fallen for. Offering his hand he figured that his bed might be slightly more comfortable than here on the floor.

She gently helped get him on the bed and began to put wet cold towels on Ace's head trying to lower his fever but it wasn't working. "Bren..Brendon..."Ace whispered almost beggingly. Tears rolled down his pale cheeks. ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"...In love & War..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿

Brendon helped the maid move the male to the bed. Sitting back on the edge of the bed watching. He wasn't to sure if he could help with anything or even what to do. Hearing his name he looked over to Ace. Suddenly it hit him like a freight train. The male laying only inches away was Ace. He was alive after all, and he was the person he had been aiming to kill this entire time. Gently taking the male's hand in his he rubbed the back of Ace's hand with his thumb. Something he used to do if Ace was nervous or scared about anything. It's okay Ace, I'm here. he said softly to the male. Gently wiping away the tears he took some of the cold towels so he could help. Ace I need you so please get better he softly said to himself. If Ace died from this he would never forgive himself for the way he treated him earlier and figuring out who he was sooner.

He thought that desteny and his state of health were making him feel his dead lover's touch. The maid kept doing that through out the whole night, but Ace's fever only went down very little. "Sir, we have to get a doctor he will die at this rate." The maid said softly. Ace opened his pale eyes which looked heavy ans his skin was hot to the touch. ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"...In love & War..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿

Brendon sat there throughout the night keeping the males hand in his and trying to lower his fever. Occasionally Brendon might say something to Ace. Hearing the maid the next morning he nodded. At this rate it was obvious what would happen if he didnt get medical attention fast. The last thing he wanted to happen was to have him die on him again. Except this time there would be no coming back. I'll help you take him. he said quietly not trusting his voice. If he was there then people might be more likely to believe he was one of their soldeirs fallen terribly ill. Picking the male up bridal style he quickly brought him down to the infirmary where they could hopefully cure him.

The doctors their quickly undressed him and put him on a bed and coveted him with a sheet so that he would feel the cool air. The main.doctor quickly came in and looked at him before injecting him with strong medication. "This is all because of malnutrition. He was lucky to be brought in in time. He will have to stay a couple of days and follow a strict diet. But right now his fever should go down but he will be delirious for a while." The doctor said softly before leaving. Ace didn't want to be on the murderer's land so he planned to leave as soon as the prince was not looking. He still thought his lover was dead. ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"...In love & War..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿

Brendon watched as the doctors quickly tended to Ace. Hearing that he would be fine outside of delirium for a while he smiled softly. Until Ace was back to before he wasn't planning on letting the male out of his sight. Well he didn't want to ever let him go. He had gone years thinking the male he loved was dead and here he was. Gently taking Ace's hand once more he leaned over and kissed his forehead. He would wait here by his side till he recovered. He could live with the short time of delirium from the male, as long as he was alive that was all that mattered.

He had convinced himself that this was not his lover and that his love was dead and turn away from Brendon. He didn't trust the male at all and seemed to be trying to get away from him. However soon he began to hear cannons being fired consecutively from his kingdom knowing that they were using his plans. He had to get out of here. All the ruckus stopped at night and the doctor suggested the prince go home and rest up. Ace slowly got up and managed to force himself to go outside. He wore peasant clothing and a cloak. Brendon watched the male seeing him occasionally wake up and turn from him before drifting back to sleep. He just wished the male would recognize him soon. Hearing the canons go off Brendon gently squeezed the male's hand before getting up. He had to go whether he wanted to or not. Stepping out he quickly was informed on what was happening. Nodding he went to get ready to stand out on the front lines as a back up if they were attacked. Standing out on the edge of where they were keeping the civilians he couldn't help but find his mind drifting to Ace occasionally. As the sun set they stopped firing We need to keep look outs overnight he said to the general having him agree. Making his way back to the infirmary he quickly found Ace wasn't in there. Heading up to his room Brendon found it empty. Sighing he walked to the window and let the gentle tears flow down his face. Ace was alive but didn't seem to recognize him, he had to make him see somehow.

Ace yelped as he held his small side, he could barely get up but he forced himself to do so. He slowly made his way to the rubble that was left of the little cottage. He yelped and fell onto the floor, He held his side that was now dripping with blood. He crawled to the only wall that was left standing. "I'm...sorry..I wasn't able to protect you my love..." Ace said as tears rolled down his pale cheeks. He put his head against the wall and slowly began to fade in and out of consciousness. He kept remembering all the wonderful memories of him and Brendon ✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿"...In love & War..."✿*ﾟ‘ﾟ･✿

Brendon wanted to just let the male go off and find him later. Though the thing that convinced him to go find Ace was the fact the male was not in the best of condition at the minute. Climbing onto his horse he raced after the direction of the cottage. Seeing a horse riderless he felt his heart racing. Where was he, it was one of his kingdom's horses meaning it had to be Ace out here. He had changed himself into the clothes he worse when he went out to meet him so no questions were raised. Climbing off the horse he looked around Ace he called out hoping for a response. Hearing none he walked around some before seeing the cottage. Looking around he saw someone in the ruble walking over he saw it was Ace. Ace please open your eyes he begged tears running down his face. He couldn't handle it if the male died a second time on him.
