Finn had known what he meant, but it was much funnier to pretend otherwise, at times. Make that most of the time. He enjoyed the reactions he could get out of people with blunt words or a coarse attitude, and it seemed that even now, during what could very well be a sharp turning point in their lives as they became something more then friends but less then lovers, Ripley was not safe from Finn's little jabs. And so, the man only received the typical empty eyed smirk in response, before a short sigh of relief followed once the other man removed himself from Finn's legs. Bringing his knee's up partway to his chest in an attempt to aid in circulation, Finn began to realize that in all of the chatter, his fuzzy alcohol hazed mine had taken a step down back to a pleasant buzz. Finding that preferable, he only thought about pouring himself another drink for half a second before deciding otherwise, instead giving his full attention to Ripley while he waited for the other man to make a decision. Oh damn, there was that unimpressed look that Finn was coming to know and hate so well. It spoke volumes of what the other man thought of everything before words were even spoken, and Finn was already mentally resigning himself to a night alone as a reward for his previous petty stupidity. "Well clearly because you want my sexy body, why else?" He was quick to retort, now feeling it mattered very little if he drove the other man off, since he was probably going to leave anyways. Screw it. If Ripley was going to sit there and draw things out as if his decision hadn't already been made, Finn was going to enjoy another cigarette. In only took a few moments to light up, and he was breathing smoke up towards the ceiling with a decidedly empty expression while he waited for the inevitable. It was Ripley's sigh that drew his gaze back down, and he scoffed a laugh at the way the other man was looking at him from between fingers, before taking another drag. And then Ripley said two words that Finn had not been expecting to hear, and he nearly dropped his cigarette in surprise, while simultaneously coughing out a lungful of smoke that he'd nearly choked himself on, a painful experience that brought tears to the corners of his eyes as he beat at his chest. "Ex.." cough. "Excuse me.." More coughing, and Finn was forced to butt out his cigarette early while pressing the back of his other hand to his mouth as it continued. Scooting off of the side of his bed, ignoring Ripley for a moment because he was pretty sure the other man would just be laughing at him anyways, he moved to his dresser, threw open a drawer, and reached inside to pull out a bottle of water, which he hastily opened and brought to his lips for a long drink, soothing the raw ache in his throat, and giving himself a chance to breathe once he was done. "Jesus Christ, Ripples. You nearly killed me." He complained, lightly, before turning around and giving the other man a long look. "But you mean that? You're serious?" He asked, because it didn't hurt to make sure.

"Wanted." Ripley clarified, hiding a mean little grin behind his glove as he scratched his face....with his middle finger. Two could play at that game; Finn wasn't free from him, either.
When he eventually gave in and said his answer, the response was better than he could have ever expected. When Finn first started to choke he was concerned - for a good second, which counted - but as he realized it wasn't a danger to either of them, he found it amusing. More than just amusing. He was grinning.
"You're excused." Ripley's voice was smooth as silk through a very satisfied smile, leaning to the side to let Finn past him to get some water. That had to hurt, and knowing that it was likely painful was very refreshing to him. It was karmic payback for...well, a lot of things, actually, and he was thoroughly enjoying this little show.
"It's not my fault you forgot how to multitask." Ripley huffed in his own defence, before grinning once more. "But I'll try harder next time." He promised, still terribly amused but regaining his composure for the time being. It was somewhat nice to know that Finn had been so surprised by his answer that he nearly killed himself, but he couldn't quite place why that was such a charming thought.
The way Finn was making sure was, in a small way, endearing. Somewhat annoying because he had never carried on a lie this long with the man and there was no reason to start now, but still endearing nonetheless. He kind of reminded him of some of the characters in those games Abbi played: excited, but hesitant just in a case. He had a lot of replies on the tip of his tongue for Finn, and not all of them were kind. A few were as sarcastic as one might expect from him, while others questioned Finn's comprehension abilities, but thankfully none of these were said. He kept them to himself, mostly in case his new...whatever he was to him now...decided to get petty again.
"I'm serious," He confirmed with a small nod. "Especially the part about ending it." He added, unable to resist.

It took him a moment, after several long, deep breaths of air and another swig of water, before he aching in his chest began to ease. That had been, perhaps, the worst possible thing that could have happened, but it had, and he was, despite everything, only human. It could have literally happened to anyone. He just had a moment to lament in his head the why me's of it all. Still, it was hard to remain upset with himself when something wonderful had just happened. Finn had gotten his way. As impossible as the task had seemed at it's start, somehow, for some reason, Ripley had agreed, and while Finn was typically a cold sort of person, the exact opposite of type to wear their emotions on their sleeve, the entire thing made him feel....not happy exactly. More like satisfied. Very very satisfied. Satisfying enough for him to brush off Ripley's attempts at humor, a small smile finally forming on his lips. "Okay then." The water bottle was set down, and fingers were curling around the bottom of Finn's shirt, before he was pulling it off in one smooth motion and throwing it towards Ripley's smug little face, though Finn himself was quick to follow, covering the little bit of ground between himself and the bed and placing himself straddling the other mans lap within seconds, with arms looping casually around the back of his neck. "Now where were we?" He asked, before ducking in to place a hungry, done-with-all-of-this-waiting-now, kiss against Ripley's lips. As was part of their agreement that he could do so. Though he had a great many other things in mind to do with him as well.

Ripley had been waiting to see what would happen next - though he had an idea - and was delightfully surprised to be treated to a small show. He watched as Finn smoothly removed his shirt, and had one delightful view of -
Something flying at his face?
He reached up on reflex to grab the item before it hit him, which was a gesture that was much too late. Instead, the shirt hit him square on, and he uttered a small grunt of annoyance at the whole situation. This wasn't what he signed up for! Well, technically it was, but still.
Before he could even toss the fabric aside, Finn was on him - literally on him - and as he asked his question, Ripley tilted his head up to meet the kiss he knew was coming, all the while shoving down the notion of telling Finn that this wasn't technically where they left off.
It was close enough, he decided as he leaned into that hungry kiss, surprised at his own willingness to submit after all the hoops he had to go through to get to this point. Though perhaps that was why; he sure as hell earned it, for what he was getting himself into in the long run. Gloved hands trailed down the bare chest in front of him, feeling the slight variation between flesh and scar, but once they reached the hem of jeans he paused, switching to hold onto his shirt.
It was only fair, after all.
He broke the kiss, leaning back far enough to be able to peel the shirt off of himself, tossing it aside where it quickly went out of mind. With that gone, most of his scars became quite visible on his pale skin, from the very large neck-and-shoulder mouth-shaped circle to the matching defensive shoulder and forearm lines due to Shaheen, along with several others that had little stories to them - and finally to fresh bruises, which were still in the process of healing, thanks to Taym and his clone.
Like Finn, Ripley didn't give him much of a chance to stop and stare. He leaned back in quickly, his eyes closing as he captured those warm lips once more. A strange smirk grew on his lips as if he thought of something, his hands coming up to hold the sides of Finn's neck in an attempt to keep him where he was.
"So." Ripley started, his wicked grin only getting wider. "How thin are your walls?" He asked again between kisses. Under normal circumstances it would have been hard to tell how he meant his question, but with that grin? The answer was likely he meant to, to either tease or piss off his partner.
Not that he gave him much of a chance to argue about it again, as he leaned back onto the bed, and pulled Finn down with him.

This was, unfortunately for Ripley, exactly what he had signed up for.Because for all of Finn's terrible attitude, for all of the bad jokes and worse sexual innuendo's, for his generally uncaring nature, there was at times a playful side of him that Ripley was just going to have to get used to. Or not. But that's what the termination clause of their agreement was for anyways, because this was as much a test as it was an odd semi-commitment to one another. Could it work? Would an arrangement like this actually last between the two of them? Only time could tell. But for now, kissing. Lots and lots of kissing punctuated by small, sharp gasps for air and light shivers as soft, gloved fingers trailed and tickled against both smoothed and scarred flesh. He barely even noticed when Ripley pulled away, trying to follow after him at first until he realized the other man was trying to remove his own shirt as well, and Finn blinked, taking in the brief sight of pale skin, scarred, which the moon intermediate already knew, but bruised as well, which he for some reason wasn't expecting. And wasn't given time to dwell on, as not even a moment passed and Ripley's lips were back on his, and Finn's hands were gliding up along the other mans chest to come to a rest on his shoulders, not realizing he was being held in place until it was far too late to get away, and Ripley's words cut through a haze of lust like a knife through butter. "a*****e." Finn growled against the other mans lips, but it was hard to believe he was upset given that he returned every kiss with just as much fervor. "Too thin, unfortunat--." Came the rest of the reply, or as least, as much of it as he could manage before he was being pulled down to the bed, and after that, nothing else really mattered.
