Aislin gave a sad smile seeing Shira seem to hesitate at doing well. Something told her there was more to it than that but she wouldn't push it. They were practically sisters after all. She would find out if she needed to. "Fine, I guess. I kind of got into an accident in the city today, but nothing too serious. I met the most...UGH guy in the city today. I mean he just really-, he's the type that sort of brushes you the wrong way and he looked kind of suspicious." Aislin replied, feeling the need to let out her frustrations about Aster out. He was more infuriating than she had realized and holding in the anger wasn't doing her any good.

"Do I though? Do I really? I mean, he didn't give off any weird wavelengths. Just a weird vibe. I hate to admit, but I think our wavelengths could have been compatible...That aside, he was still a jerk. Even when he was trying to be courteous it was just a bad experience overall." Aislin said, cringing here and there just thinking about him. He just seemed way to serious about everything. If she could compare him to comic book characters, she'd bet he had a revenge story to go with that appearance and attitude of his. "What about you? Meet anyone interesting lately?"

"That can happen sometimes..." Shira said with a smile. It was always interesting seeing that people's souls were compatible but their personalities weren't. When Aisling asked her a question, she glanced upstairs "Well... father hired a sort of butler... bodyguard... guy... for me. He is interesting."

"A butler...bodyguard? Is that a bad 'interesting' or a good 'interesting'?" Aislin asked in all seriousness. She wonder what had happened that warranted a butler bodyguard at this age. It would have been understandable if they were still young, running around like they could beat everything in sight to a pulp but they knew better now. It was just...odd.

Shira shrugged "Good interesting... or 70% at least..." she said with a small laugh. "He is a little stiff but he seems pretty nice when you get passed that plus father hired him so I assume he wouldn't pick a terrible guy to watch over me... even though I think I can handle myself just fine."

Hearing Shira's thoughts assured her only a little that maybe things were quasi okay. Then again, like she said, they were capable of handling themselves just fine. "I guess the extra protection will keep his mind at ease." Aislin said. It was either the stiff behind-the-scenes body guard or her father hovering about even at this age.

"Um, sure." Aislin replied with a nod, following Shira into the family room. It sure had been a long time since she had visited the mansion, and despite it being rebuilt, it looked like not a thing had changed except the age. "So, have you been in touch with the others lately?" Aislin asked. She was way out of the loop and current of things. She barely processed the past year much less keep in touch with friends, although she regrets that decision now.

Shira sat down as well "A little bit... I haven't heard much from the Star family though. After everything with the Machinist Order, everyone has been a bit quiet. I don't blame them though. The Machinist Order stuff was pretty intense," she explained.

Aislin nodded after remembering the events with The Machinist Order. She hadn't really been involved all too much but she remembered when it had happened. "Not hearing much from the Star family is quite scary. I don't ever remember a time when they weren't being loud in some form and fashion. But you're right. Things have just been all around crazy lately."

"Right?" Aislin agreed with a laugh. She was cool and there was no doubt about it! Cool was in her genes. Shira was right. Who wouldn't want to be partners with her. Oh, wait. That guy. She swatted the mental image of him like a fly. "I can only hope soon is actually really soon. I can only go on so many missions solo before I want to rip my hair out. It was cool for a bit but now it's anything but.
