OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .Charlie held her tongue, quieted by Blink's hand on her shoulder as the three of them watched Zack walk away. Then Syara was moving, striding purposefully after Zack's retreating back. Charlie made a half-hearted attempt to reach out for her, but Syara was already out of reach. "Should we follow them?" Charlie asked quietly, warring internally with herself. Syara had been outside the compound before. Charlie had been one of the few who had fought hard for Syara to have that privilege. The PCI higher ups wanted to keep her locked away - for her own health, sure, but she needed to have a life outside of PCI, even if it was less time away than the rest of them were accustomed to. Charlie knew Syara could take care of herself, but after that little episode, Zack seemed like a bit of a loose cannon in his current state. She bit her lip, worried for Syara but the desire to let her fight her own battles seemed to be winning out. Charlie hadn't moved since the two were out of sight, and she was aware that Blink hadn't moved his hand from her shoulder yet either. The thought that they were like worried parents struck her, and it almost made Charlie laugh out loud.

Syara Malris"Theif" She really couldnt think of a lie fast enough as he startled her from her fright. She turned suddenly to see him as her hair fell into her face and she held onto her composure before she could fall into the street again. "im... following you, you didnt apoligize for hurting me or my friends" she glared at him dispite being a head shorter than he was, she didnt want to admit she was lost now though either. She wondered if Pierson would be mad when she found out she had left. She really needed to think about her actions sometimes.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding OfficerWith a sigh Pierson finished her paperwork, most of it involving the recruitment of Zack, which, despite all the evidence to the contrary, she still thought would be a good idea. Standing, she brushed some of her hair from her face and looked out the door of the room to see Charlie and Matthias standing close together. She thought she had heard Syara say something about a sparring match for the three of them, but Syara was nowhere to be found. Giving a small sigh she shook her head and left the room, headed for Charlie and Matthias. "You know you need to apply for permission to have an inter-office romance, right you two?" Pierson joked a little, but it was true, the PCI frowned on any sort of inter-office romance without prior approval from the HR department. Which was one reason why she tried to keep things between Syara and herself a secret, mostly because of the fact that she would have quite the conflict of interest as her psychologist, caretaker, and boss. It didn't stop Pierson from treating Syara fairly though. She would still treat her as just another agent as long as they were on the job. "Where's Syara? I thought I heard her wanting to spar with one of you." Pierson asked after Syara with a hint of worry behind her ice blue eyes. She didn't like it when Syara did things without thinking, the last time she did that, she almost got killed. She knew that Syara felt cooped up in the PCI offices and at home, but there was little she could do except take her on a vacation every so often. Breaking out of the PCI and wandering about the city would cause trouble for both of them, but really Pierson was just worried about Syara getting hurt, despite the fact that she could handle herself.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .Pierson's voice behind them made Charlie jump slightly, a light blush colouring her cheeks. She knew the policy on office relationships. Matthias had been one of her closest friends ever since he was recruited. They spent a lot of time together because they enjoyed the same things, and she knew he was one of the few people she could go to when she wanted a run. And she was a terrible cook. If it wasn't for Matthias's weekly visits with real food, she would exist purely on ramen noodles and deluxe frozen pizzas. It was only recently that Charlie had started feeling a little differently, but she wasn't sure what to do about it. Their friendship and working relationship was important to her, and she didn't want to compromise that.
She turned to face Pierson and straightened, that military training so engrained, it was second nature. "That was the plan. Then we ran into the new potential recruit. We introduced ourselves and invited him to tag along, but he declined. Syara followed him when he left." Charlie didn't mention that Zack had grabbed Syara. Pierson would be worried enough as it was, with Syara out in the city, mostly on her own. Pierson was very protective of Syara, and Charlie had long suspected there was more going on between the two, but Pierson was her CO, and it wasn't her business to pry. "Should we go after them?"

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Matthias felt the presence of Pierson as she drew closer. Hearing her comments over his shoulder, he hid a rosy blush from Pierson behind his left hand, dropping his palm from Charlie's shoulder. Blink cleared his throat, regaining focus. "Pierson.." said Blink, greeting the officer. He stood upright, holding his left hand in his right, comfortably behind his back. Indeed, Charlie and Matthias were very close friends, although the line between their friendship and something more became blurry at times. Since joining PCI, the agency has aided in drawing the two closer together. Sharing a profession has spoiled Blink with more of Charlie's company. "Sparring hasn't been the only thing on Syara's mind since her pleasant encounter with the new guy..." Blink said gesturing toward the door with a grin.
Syara knew how to handle herself. He only hoped Zack wouldn't put himself in danger. Coming into direct contact with Syara could be a grave mistake. Although it was accidental, Matthias remembered his first, and hopefully last time. Charlie suggested the group follow. Matthias had his disagreements, but he wasn't against making sure things hadn't escalated outside. "The two haven't traveled very far from the building."

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding OfficerAs they informed Pierson about what happened, she blinked a little; Syara had left to follow the new recruit. This was not good. It wasn't that she didn't trust Syara to take care of herself, it was more a combination of the fact that Syara wasn't supposed to leave the base without her and the fact that she did not, in fact, have a wonderful sense of direction. She could easily get lost if all she focused on was following the recruit. Giving a small growl she clapped her hands to each of their backs. "You can spar when we get back. For the moment, we should go find Syara and make sure she hasn't gotten into any trouble." Moving her hands from their backs she started forward, heading down the hallway and to the entrance of the building. She wanted to find Syara before things got out of hand between her and their newest volatile recruit.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .Nodding to Pierson, Charlie fell into step behind her, Blink following suit and keeping pace on her other side. She raised her eyebrows slightly at Blink, with a look that said "We've stepped in it this time." and a small, mischievous smile. Charlie really wasn't worried about Syara, but she did have a terrible sense of direction, and Charlie understood why Pierson was so protective of their youngest member. She'd be less on edge once Syara was back on familiar territory.
As the trio headed toward the exit, Charlie opened a communication link between herself and Aali. Syara is out in the city. Pierson has orders for us to bring her back. Meet us at the front doors ASAP. Then Charlie told Pierson of the message she'd sent. Charlie was pretty sure Pierson wouldn't want to wait for the Seer to arrive, but it was hard to argue with having a psychic tag along on a missing persons case.

Zack Hoyt
Zack did not receive a lie he thought he was going to get. Instead, Syara openly admitted to following him from the PCI building. As she glared up at him, Zack did not flinch or back down, but gave her a small glare back in return. ”So? I have no obligation to you and your friends.” he retorted flatly. He could now tell that she didn’t want to admit that she was lost too after following him so far from her headquarters. It sounded like that Pierson woman was Syara's handler almost. Good lord, these PCI people were so restrictive for no reason at all. Seemed like this girl didn’t get out very often for some reason or another, but that really wasn’t any of Zack’s concern right now.
He crossed his arms over his chest, still staring down at Syara. Fortunately, his guitar case would stay perched on his shoulder for now. ”Also, what kind of government agent nearly gets killed just trying to cross a street and gets lost?” Zack was purposefully avoiding giving any sort of apology for his previous actions at PCI headquarters by turning the focus back onto Syara’s careless decisions. ”But whatever. Your problems are not mine, and I have somewhere I need to be. Good luck getting back to your headquarters.” With that, Zack uncrossed his arms and turned away from Syara, headed once more down the block towards the park.

The morning had been long and arduous, no thanks to an angry chipmunk ghost gnawing on his head. Aali knew it was a ghost because he could not touch it but felt it hurting his noggin. It was the vacuum cleaner that made it angry though, and the janitor would not even try to vacuum it up after infuriating it. Cannot see no chipmunk, he had said; sure, none of them could, it was a ghost! The thought had not made it any better nor had it stopped his vomiting. After making the janitor earn his pay in the early hours of the morn and freshening up, Aali had gone out for air. He knew exactly where to be, however not when to be. When other PCI agents had not appeared in the first hour he simply decided everyone else was late.
The call sent him flying out of the park bench he was laying down on. It was silent but vibrating, and he was certain the chipmunk was back until he realized his hand grasped a device, not an animal. There was a voice from the gadget, which Aali ignored entirely and pressed 'send' on the already-written message window. The message, sent to Pierson, read: 'In the park w Zack n Syara bring money'. Aali yawned, put away his phone, and got up off the furry floor of the park. He sat back down on the bench and felt the cool breeze from the giant sky elephant graze his face. Once before Aali had objected to calling it a place of parking before, as proper parking places did not have ticklish, grass tasting fuzz all over the ground. Yet, while listening to the roar of cars going along the road, he imagined there being vehicles of all sorts in neat lines all along the bushes.
"Pop," Aali said out loud and got a hand on his surroundings. It was through echolocation, the ability to recognize objects through sound bouncing off them, that Aali - as many blind people do - became aware of what was around. In this case, nothing. The Seer could have sworn that the closed ice cream bar had been there, but it sunk away into the ground when his voice did not echo off of it. So he moved on, periodically making random noise to make his way forward.
From memory, Aali knew they had to be ... Ah ha! This smell, it was Zack. No doubt about it, same shampoo from that time when he will use it all up, and then throw it away because geeez what bad taste. Aali was about to poke the person he had snuck up to, but Zack turned from Syara to walk off and bumped straight into him. The blind man was taken by surprise and almost fell, and did halfway, but waved his arms straight ahead, and used the strength of his legs to straighten himself up.
"Zack, you guys gonna play at HQ tonight?" Aali spoke up without pause. His milky white eyes stared absently ahead. "Syara, Pierson will bring the money. But I'm sorry, the ice cream man is out of chocolate. You should buy lemon for Pierson, though."

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Falling in behind the commander, Blink dug his hands down deep into his pockets. A large smile crawled across his face listening to Charlie as they walked along side one another. He looked over toward her, raising a brow. "Don't call me a pessimist, but I doubt this'll be our last time." he said nudging her arm playfully with his elbow. Although a considerable distance from Zack and Syara, Blink couldn't help but feel as if he were walking right behind the two. The hound could almost here them talking outside, weeding through all of the foreign chatter. "Im not one to crash parties, but they're just a few blocks away, commander." Blink pointed through the glass window as they made their way outside.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding OfficerAs Blink told the group that Syara was nearby, Pierson nodded. "Good, I'd expect nothing less really. She can't drive a car, and I know the recruit didn't come in one, so they can't have gone far. But I think we all know how long it takes for things to go badly." Pierson stepped out into the sun, her pace quickening as she looked to her phone, Syara's GPS tracker pinging just a few blocks in the north eastern direction. She gestured for Charlie and Matthias to follow her as she headed across the street. Syara was far too reckless sometimes, and Pierson wished she would think before she acted, rather than just do what she pleased. Her carefree nature was cute, but sometimes it got her into troublesome situations like this. It was up to Pierson to bail her out, as usual. But for as much fuss as she was making, she really didn't mind Syara getting to go out on her own every now and then. The girl deserved to see the world, not just be locked up at the PCI. That was one of the reasons she introduced Syara to Pearce in the first place.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .She blushed again at Blink's grin, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing out loud. Pierson was nervous and worried for Syara. Charlie didn't think laughing now would go over well. Still...she couldn't help but smile when Blink nudged her arm. This definitely wouldn't be the last time.
Just like Pierson, Charlie was tracking Syara's GPS signal. She also had the added advantage of being able to view traffic light footage in a small screen on her glasses, which meant she could follow Syara's movements in real time as well, so long as Zack kept to the main streets. Just then, a message from Aali flashed across her lenses. At the park with Zack and Syara. Bring money. " Pierson, you just got a message from Aali. He says he's already at the park with Syara and Zack. He also asked us to bring money." Really, Charlie shouldn't have been surprised Aali was already at their destination. Psychics. She thought affectionately. Aali would take good care of them until the other three arrived. He may be a bit scatter brained at times - Charlie couldn't imagine seeing all those possibilities at once, let alone also being able to keep track of what was happening in the present - but he was fiercely loyal and protective, and she had no doubts about his abilities.
Quietly, Charlie slipped her hand through Blink's and made small talk while they all walked quickly down the street. Although they weren't dressed in their PCI mission uniforms, their clothing wasn't exactly civilian, and their pace could hardly be considered leisurely. No need to alarm the locals. She was sure this pace must be maddening for Pierson, but it wouldn't look good to Zack if they all came busting in to "rescue" Syara. She wasn't sure there was anything PCI could do to look good to Zack at the moment, but this day seemed to be full of surprises.

Zack Hoyt
As he turned around and took one step, Zack bumped right into someone standing close behind him. He grunted slightly at the impact and took a half-step backward to give the whomever it was some room to stand or regain their own balance. ”What the—!” he started to ask before he saw who had been behind him. He had felt some sort of intentions from behind him as if someone was about to touch him, but he wasn’t expecting there to be someone that close behind him. The fact that the guy used his name to talk to him was unsettling given that Zack had no idea who this person was. Upon closer inspection, Zack noticed the guy’s blank stare and concluded that he must not be able to see very well or he was blind. That didn’t bother Zack so much, but what did bother him that this person knew his name for some unexplained reason. He was even asking him if he and his band were playing at the PCI headquarters tonight. What the hell is with this guy?’ Zack thought to himself as he studied this new person for a moment or two and stepped to the side a little. ”How the hell do you know those things…?” his voice trailed off a little as was then that the thought hit Zack: this guy was probably a Seer. That’s how he could probably know what his name was without even meeting him in person and being introduced.
Once that was squared away in his mind, Zack returned his attention to the earlier question about where he and his band were playing tonight. ”No. But where we’re playing tonight is none of your business, so don’t bother asking or looking into my future, alright?” He replied, ignoring the Seer’s statements about ice cream or whatever. ”Why can’t you PCI people just leave me alone? I told you a bunch of times that I’m not going to join, so just drop it already.” Zack grimaced in his growing annoyance. These agents were popping up out of all the woodwork and it was starting to get even more annoying than before when Pierson was trying to recruit him.

Syara Malris"Theif"Syara wasn't sure if she was seeing things as Aali walked up behind Zack. She forgot Zack had been talking to her and missed what he said before he turned to run right into the blind seer. "hey Vision, there is no ice cream around here, last i noted" She glanced around just to make sure though, although a waffle cone sounded really good at the moment, her mind wandered slightly. "hey you know where we are though! you can take us to the ice cream shop!" She smiled and grabbed Zack's arm again to pull him back. "If you want to leave that is fine, i guess i can let you go, but not until you take us to the nearest ice cream shop!" She had learned tactics from Pierson, and often got her way with a little well placed diplomatic persuasion, Pierson was bound to come and find her, she could try and avoid it or make the best of the current situation at hand. "ice cream sounds bomb" a young character decorated in ink and metal piercings walked up to the three of them with a smile on his face, his hands perched behind his head in a laid back manner while his white teeth shined in that never ending smile. "hey Zack, everyone got worried when they didn't hear from you, who's this clinging to you like a bat? i didn't know you were into the... rave scene" he looks Syara over not sure what to think of the mask on her face or her fashion sense and scratches the short cut hair on his head. "hey, im Corry?" he glaces at the blind Aali and stares as he notices his eyes, wondering what is going on here.
