My influence can only take us so far. By allying ourselves with another influential, we can ensure that we don't lose what we have done so much to attain. I can make sure that you and your mother can continue to live the life that I have always strived to give you."

"I understand father, but i mean i still feel that we're living by the rules of our elders. Isn't it about time we break away from all those old rules and traditions...or some of them at least?" Raven asked him.

"What would you have me do Raven? Ignore the other families? Ignore the laws that have protected our people for generations?" He said, looking to her. "What rules specifically are you referring to? What rules would you see abolished? Tell me, and I can try to convince the other families."

Michel the shade I hope you still want to continue this...if not i understand sweatdrop "Father, its not that I want the rules to be completely Ignored, I just want some of the elders to take into account that our generation isn't as willing to just do things so willingly as you used to. Times have changed father. I just want the elders to see this, is that too much to ask?" Raven asked getting up and hugging her father. She wanted to ask if she could speak to her grandfather, but she figured now wasn't the time to bring him up. She hoped that Aren was ok, with being in her room. Raven's mom gently knocked on the door to Raven's room and let herself in. She was carrying a tray of snacks, and noticed that Raven wasn't in the room but Aren still was. "Oh hello again, I'm guessing Raven went to go speak with her father. Well I'll just leave these here for you and her when she gets back." her mother said setting the tray onto the table by the bed. She then sat down on the bed and looked at Aren. "Tell me, why did my daughter bring you here?" she asked. She didn't give off the air of a mean person, but she could be mean if she needed to be.

DraculasLittlePrincess *Curses Gaia for never giving me an alert about a reply* YES! I do want to continue. I never knew there was a reply. Gaia didn't give me an alert like it usually would. Ravens father sighed, "Those old men won't like that idea, Raven. They are so set in their ways, and believe that the old ways are what protect us. They'll think you're just a rebellious child for thinkign this way, and that I would be a fool for listening and suggesting it." He said as he hugged his daughter tightly. "Please, don't fight too hard against this, dear. I will try to get other families to join me, and we might convince the elders to ease up, but don't place all your hopes in this." Aren eyed Ravens mom cautiously. She was oddly accepting of a strange man in her daughters bedroom. "Because she didn't want me to commit suicide. I was preparing to leap off a bridge. I have nothing left to lose in this world." he said with a sad sigh, "Now, I have a question for you. Why are you so accepting of a strange man in your daughters bedroom? Most parents wouldn't approve of such a thing, let alone seem almost happy about it."

Ravens fathers face darkened back into rage, but he held it in as Raven returned to her room. If she had saved some boys life, perhaps he was trying to repay a life debt of some sort. The boy didn't need to repay anything and he could just leave. That was all he would need to say.Aren sighed, "I am also much more than I seem. I highly doubt that you would be so accepting, if you knew what dark secrets I held."Raven father then walked into the room, prepared to thank the boy for repaying his debt, but that he could just go home. However, once he saw the boy, and he instantly smelled the wolf on him. "What in the Great Ones name is that filthy mongrel doing in my home? Some little halfblooded abomination? A death for him would have been a mercy!" He growled, furious at the hybrid standing in his daughters bedroom.

"Viktor, please be a little more understanding." Elizabeth said placing a hand on her husband's shoulder.'So much as for being understanding.' Raven said before standing up in front of Aren. "Father how can you say that?!?!? At least give Aren a chance to explain himself." Raven said feeling anger bubble up again. None of them knew the circumstances of his life, but she knew that she felt obligated to stand up for him. But she did wonder in the back of her mind what dark secrets Aren was keeping, as did her mother.

"Oh no, he is right." Aren said, not even so much as twitching at the mans rage towards him. "I am a halfblood. Half wolf, half human. A mongrel, if you wish to call me such. I am a hybrid. I was on the verge of death, and I made a pact with a mortally wounded wolf. We would both live on, but we each made a sacrifice. He sacrificed what little life he had left, and his body, and I gave up my very humanity." Aren said locking eyes with Viktor, "And, honestly, I couldn't care less what you think of me. Miss Raven is the one to whom I owe my life, there it is to her that I will show respect. And of course, to her mother, as she has respected me in kind." Aren finished giving a small bow towards Elizabeth."I will not have my daughter keeping the company of some filthy beast, that should be sent back to the forest!" Viktor growled, wanting to murder this beat that dared to disrespect him in his own home. "Now leave.....before I decide to use your head as a trophy.""I believe I already stated, that you are not the one who I answer to." Aren said narrowing his eyes, "I do not take orders from you. But if you threaten me again, I will show you why wolves are respected. That is the only warning that I will give you."Viktor was seething with rage, he was going to kill that b*****d wolf, one way or another.

Raven was nervous as was her mother, but Raven was also fuming at how her dad was talking about Aren. They both knew that things would end badly if something wasn't done. "I'm sorry father, but until you allow him entrance to our home, you will not see me for a while." Raven said as she grabbed Aren's hand and disappeared from the room.Elizabeth sighed as she watched their daughter dissapear, and turned to Viktor. "Maybe we should give her a chance to calm down, and you need to calm down as well." she said somewhat sternly as she looked into Viktor's eyes. "I'm sure she'll be back just give her time, please."Raven reappeared in a secret area of the garden that only she knew about. It was an area she would come to when she wanted to calm down. "Well that didn't go too well." she said setting up the tent that she kept there just in case she needed to spend the night there.

Viktor shot a glare towards his wife, "I will not have our daughter associating with some mongrel wolf. Not even a true wolf...... some hybrid beast. I will not stand for our daughter being around that....thing!" He said sneering out the last word before turning and storming away.Aren was a little shocked by the rather abrupt teleportaion. He hadn't expected her to take him and leave. "Well, you're father seems rather stuck in his ways. And I was a little rude. But I still stand by what I said." He said looking to Raven, "You are the one to whom I owe my life, and the one whom I shall serve."

Elizabeth sighed and went into the library to rest and give her husband time to himself to cool down.
Raven looked at Aren and sighed. "Don't worry about it, hopefully everything will cool down soon. Make yourself comfortable, I'll be right back." she said, before teleporting to the balcony outside her room. She noticed that no one was in her room, so she silently opened the window and slipped into her room. Grabbing a bag she packed a few things, like blankets and extra clothes along with some other things. Then she grabbed the platter of snacks and sandwiches and teleported back to Aren. Placing the platter on a nearby stump, she began to unpack the blankets and make the tent a bit bigger.

((I NEVER got an alert saying that you resonded sad Stupid Gaia )) Aren sighed after Raven teleported away. "Comfort is something I haven't experience in a long time. There isn't much place in this world for one as outcast as I am." he said before leaninf back against a tree. When Raven reappeared he watched her for a few moments. "Are......are we to camp in the backyard until your father has decided to not kill me? Because, I don't foresee his opinion on me changing. On the other hand, your mother seems to like me. At least I think she does."

((That's ok, i don't think i had got the alert that u had posted either, anyway hiw have u been???)) Raven was setting up the inside of the tent, putting a blanket on the floor of the tent. Hearing Aren ask his question she came out and sat in front of him. "We're going to stay out here until i know, things have cooled down at home. It may be a day or two before i actually go back. And of course my mom likes you. If it were up to her you'd be able to stay as long as you wanted."
