Magnus Fighter "My family was taken..." ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ As Magnus lay in bed and Cerich Online initializing, he took a deep breath as he tried to bury the sad past he had. He wanted to be reborn into the world of Cerich Online, to immerse himself completely into MMOs like he used to when he was a young teen. A bright flash of light took him to the Character Creation module of Cerich Online. He spent a few dull minutes thinking whether to make his character represent him as closely as possible or not. After battling his own conscience, he decided to replicate himself into the game. He decided to go back to his roots, where he would project himself into the games he played. He set his height and clothing and appearances to be the closest the game could go to his usual attire. He rotated the character model and smiled slighty. It was perfect. Magnus was actually quite surprised that the starter gear had things extremely close to his everyday get-up.
After confirming his choices on character appearance, he was moved to class selection. After browsing through the available classes, with his character model phasing in and out to the appropriate class - bow and arrow with a quiver for Archer class, a massive morningstar and rugged armor for warrior - he finalized to be a Fighter. Magnus has always been a fan of swords, but he didn't want to prioritize on precision too much like fencers do. There was a dimmed out "Special Skill" category that he didn't pay too much attention to, thinking it would unlock itself once he got enough levels.
Without much delay after character creation, Magnus was ported to the starter area, full of NPCs with tips and tricks, or guides as to what is where in the area. Having played several MMOs before, Magnus didn't pay attention to the tutorial NPCs and began walking in the general direction of the nearby exit to begin the grind for levels, and maybe even take a quest or two. Whilst perusing the wares that the stores were offering, he sighed as he didn't have enough money to get a better weapon. 'That's starting out for ya...' he thought to himself.
Anyone who has played MMOs for more than 10 hours a day in the past 7 years would surely notice his in-game name at the very least. He took a quick break after getting a job and getting married, but he should still be a familiar face in a crowd.
One such familiar face that he recognized was Dima. The girl was a blogger of some sort that appeared on his newsfeed. He relied on her blogs to keep up with the meta of games, so when he decided to play again, he wouldn't be too out of shape, or look like he belonged in a museum. "Yo!" Magnus called out to the fair-haired archer. He didn't know if she'd remember him at all. Hell, he barely remembers teaming up with her in a previous game.

Blogger Name: 342434 Player Name: Dima Player's Class: Archer Special Skill: "Demon's Death Strike" ➳ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ⊙ Dima turned when she heard someone call out to her, she raised a brow and said, "Hmm...?" Pausing she tried to place him and then she was fairly sure she recognized him, "Magnus? Bloody..." She paused as she looked him over, crossing her arms, and arching her brow, "Yep. God, I haven't seen you around in a while. You've missed at least two major releases, I feel like.""There was a couple big non-MMO releases too, but I don't stick to just MMOs-of course I could have missed you in the other releases," She added with a shrug. "Anyways, you managed to snag one of the few early games of Cecrich Online, congratulations. I heard it was near impossible for most people to get a spot.""I assume you plan on working on leveling and not waste time in town until the starting banquet? That was my plan, anyways." She said, before adding with a smile, "You want to team up? You can take down higher level opponents with more people, after all." The archer class was useful to have on a team-while they may not be good for healing, they were always useful to cover someone's back, especially a good archer. Of course, the archer class had its flaws like others, the class was about useless in close encounters. If an archer was going to level grind they'd do it from a distance. And, they usually had less attack force than many classes-it was in many ways a more defensive class, but she was generally okay with that. She never had much of a desire to be the center-stage hero in games, they were at the most risk and usually were taken down first if they weren't smart or acted too rashly since most of the other general MMO classes had a much shorter range than the archer class did, even if they had more attack and defense strength in general. ➳⊙ ⊕

REND THE MAGE _____________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________ The launch time had arrived. "'Main screen turn on!' Or, you know, 'link start.'" The man in the apartment initiated the link, logging into Cerich Online. Appearing on the platform in the character creation room, he gazed around, perusing the class selection. He decided to remain a human in this game, and selected the mage class. It seemed to him like everybody wanted to be some sort of extreme swordsman these days, so it had originality going for it. Also, he thought it sounded cool. That helped. An ability selection menu appeared, allowing him to choose some sort of special ability for his mage class. There were some interesting choices, but he settled on something called "Dancing Weapons," which appeared to be like some sort of pet or summoning mechanic. He ironed out a few more details. He considered making himself look older or more heroic, but he kept his physical appearance largely unchanged ( They say to enjoy your youthful body while you have it...), only neatening up his hair a bit. He couldn't quite decide what his chosen attire was called. Perhaps some sort of battle-coat or robe? Perhaps both? He thought that it looked cool enough, so he took it. Settling on a basic one-handed spear as his starting weapon, he took the final step in his character creation process. "It's cheesy, but 'Randall' just won't cut it." He entered "Rend" as his name, then set out into the game proper. Closing and opening his eyes, Rend appeared in a crowded town square. "'Cut it.' Heh, get it?" Though this attracted a few confused looks, he ignored them and proceeded to look around the town. He wasn't seeking anything out in particular at this point, instead opting to simply explore and see what came his way.

Name- Korsall Age- 25 Class- Fighter Special Skill- Howling Octave After the familiar rush of lights, the character creation area began to fade into existence around him. Some sort of floating island or platform. The character options quickly loaded up and after a short glimpse at the various options, he began to sift through a myriad of clothing, body type, hair, eye, class, and weapon 'reels' all with flicks of his wrist. After having gone through every possible option, he went back and found the options that had most interested him. He kept his eye and hair color, but opted to for a somewhat impressive hairstyle rather than one that mimicked his own. He kept his height as he was proud of his 6 foot stature, and generously gave himself muscle mass slightly more than his own. Enough to look fit but not muscle bound. For clothing he found something almost minimalistic and elegant. A vest of sorts with matching leggings that seemed to be in a butter zone between loose and form fitting. He settled on a nice pair of cuffed boots and gloves while adding some flair with a flared belt that had a green gem embedded in it and a scarf or shawl of sorts that fit snugly around his neck and shoulders. He nodded in contentment. Not only did it look nice, it felt comfortable. And when it came to starting outfits, that's what matters. His ode to vanity accomplished, he went back through the classes and chose the fighter class. Agile, yet capable of doing some serious damage with the right player. The system equipped him with a basic sword as he selected the class. Running a quick eye over everything once more, he nodded to himself before adding the finishing touch, a name. There was but one name he felt was suitable for his online sona's. K o r s a l l, he typed in the letters. With a slight grin, he proceeded to confirm his choices. Now the real fun began.
With another rush of light and color, Korsall was transported into the game world proper. Already, there were many people scurrying about getting a start to their gameplay. Korsall knew exactly what to do to get himself started. Gesturing, he opened up the menus and began to dissect each and every one in quick order. Inv, Equip, Skills, Stats, Map, Friends, Clan, Group, etc. Everything that could possibly be selected, he selected. One by one, he figured out what everything did and where everything lead. Probably about half an hour had passed with him standing there going through menus. Having learned everything he possibly could from what was immediately available to him, he began to scour the town for quests. Some VRMMOs had limited quests with special rewards and his aim was to claim them. He could save their completion for later, but right now, everything was first come first serve. And so, he dashed out into town searching for quest givers, agilely weaving between NPCs and Players alike. ((OMG! >~< You have NO idea how long it took me to figure out the word 'proper' up there... XD Don't you hate it when a word absolutely refuses to come to you? I must have spent at least 10 minutes searching through thesaurus possibilities before I finally found it in the synonym's for 'for real' under the 'on the level' meaning. Oh man... Glad I finally found it though! sweatdrop ))

Dahlia Fencer ☆═━┈┈━═☆ ☽☾ ☆═━┈┈━═☆ ❝Even though this game may be dangerous... ╔══════════════╗ She had been walking towards one of the stalls to check out their wares, trying to find something she can use with the little bit of money she had on her. Picking up some of the items, she surveyed them carefully, but nothing really caught her eye. At least nothing cheap enough for her to get. Sighing, she decided just maybe it would be better for her if she earned a little cash before coming back. Turning around, she made her way towards the town exit where a fair amount of people were going. Plus, griding already would give her a little bit of edge over the competition.. Smiling lightly, she sped up her steps, excited about getting started. Walking with a lighter step than usually, she skipped towards the exit. That was until someone bumped into her.
When someone pushed against her she actually felt her own body jar slightly. Moving away so whoever it was could move past her, she looked up to see a tall individual with longer black hair than guys usually had. Dahlia felt a small spark of anger start inside of her as the man passed without even apologizing for walking into her. And the fact that he hardly spared her a glance did not seem to make her feel any better. In fact, she felt her famous temper rearing its head. Walking faster, she trailed after him, trying to get close enough that he would hear her over the hundreds of people in the square. "H-Hey!!" she called out, trying to catch his attention. Finally, she started a small jog to catch up to his longer strides. When she made it a little ahead of him, she twirled around and stopped dead in front of him so that he would know she was talking to him.
"Hey!" she said again before placing her hands on her hips and looking up at him. She knew she should calm down a bit, but still.... "Okay, I apologize for not watching where I was looking, and maybe walking a bit slow. Now you." she said, waiting for him to apologize to her for walking into her.
╚══════════════╝ ...I am so glad to be taken away from my old boring life.❞

Kuhaku had a bored expression on his face before he saw a girl stop in front of him. He masked the lower halls of his face by lifting his scarf up slightly. He was never good at talking at girls, even in video games. But wait... he could probably use this to his advantage. He placed an index finger to his temple, looking as if he was deep in thought. "What am I apologizing for? I don't think I've done anything that should have offended you." He smirked underneath his scarf. "If it's an apology you're looking for, then party up with me. I have to go do that level one quest." He looked above her head and read her name, "Dahlia-chan. That's a cute name." He murmured to himself before opening his menu and sending her an invite. He cleared his throat, keeping the scarf up to conceal his faint blush. "If you want that 'I'm sorry for what I did wrong', then let's go. I'm sure other people have gotten to the area by now." He walked around Dahlia, lowering his scarf and smiling. Well, half smile half smirk. Like any other MMO, the starting town was the rush to get out and see the world. Judging by her attitude towards him, he's hoping that she'll follow him to get her apology.

She witness all players ask for party and add friends request, even she that messages, which she press decline. Heading to the exitting town, she suddenly overheard a girl talking as she stopped and privately glance at the conversation, found out the pinklette girl is talking to black hair man. She wonder why she can hear that, so she open her player menu and check her abilities list, she notice her special ability, Shadow Art. Curiously, she press it and read what it do and it didn't change her expression, "So that explains, Shadow Art is similar to assassin, yet I gain agilities and attack power. I thought the special skills will appear in higher level, but I guess I was wrong," she thought about her special skill. She decide to give it a try as she look at pinklette and blacklette again, but she back away to the shadow. She starts to eavesdrop on them without being seen. ... I don't trust them✮

I've been following your blog though, so I'm not completely a stranger to the new releases." Magnus said, as he stopped about one arm's length away from Dima. He made a faint smile and what seemed to be an audible snicker as he remembered what his co-workers went through to seize a copy of the game for him.
"I got my sources," Magnus said in reply to her remark about the difficulty to get a spot in Cerich Online's release.
Magnus adjusted his necktie and nodded towards the outside of town, which wasn't too far away from their current location. "Yeah. Teaming up will be nice. It's been too long since I played a VR MMO." he said as he pulled up his menu and scrolled to add Dima to his party. "Don't drag me around too much, young lady." Magnus said with a faint flicker in his eyes.

Blogger Name: 342434 Player Name: Dima Player's Class: Archer Special Skill: "Demon's Death Strike" ➳ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ⊙ "Must be some job," Dima said. " Hell, even I have a pretty hectic schedule outside of my extracurricular activities and the blog. And, I'm sure most of us have our sources-be it money, determination, or earning it on your previous reputations. Hell, I haven't waited in line-or paid for a game- in like three years now." She shrugged. She had been blogging since her early teens, and in the end got into the higher rankings of gaming bloggers around the time she was 15, a year or two later it was common enough for her to get a game sent to her courtesy of those who were marketing the game-she wasn't the only blogger who had that perk, she knew. And, it worked quite well for her because she could get into more exclusive gaming events like the Cecrich Online opening. She accepted the party invitation, noting the confirmation that Magnus was a fighter class, which meant he could take the heavier hits and get things at closer range while she took the advantage of having the farther range. It worked well. "Me drag you around?" She added following him. "Please, not my style. As long as I'm near the lead in the game, I'm fine. Besides, at this point it is pretty easy to level grind. And, 'young lady', seriously? You sound like an old man," she laughed cracking her neck as she followed him. "And who is to say I'm not forty or male or something?"Well, honestly anyone who followed her blog knew she was female, she never actually lied about her gender, but she never gave much more than that and that English was her first language-but that could be true for a lot of countries, from Canada and the U.S.A. to Australia, to anywhere in the United Kingdom, and a few other pockets as well, she was fairly sure. "Anyways, you can take the lead if you are so worried about me dragging you around, all MMOs are set up the same at the start it feels like, anyways. Why mess with something so classic if it works?"➳⊙ ⊕

✝Rilo✝ ✝Rogue✝ Rilo looked first at his blue skin and then out to the world at the gorgeously rendered city around him. He opened his inventory to view what he had and furrowed his white brow at the amount of gold he had started with. "Hmm well that is pathetic, simply pathetic" he muttered to himself. He took a look at his perks and skills and noticed that due to his class he had a higher level of pick-pocketing than your standard player. He smiled and stood up straight, pulling his hood over his head, and went off to attempt some thievery. He started by using a walking theft technique in which he kept moving and quickly stole from people and stalls around him. "My coin satchel is of a much more favorable weight, I even picked up a couple lockpicks, a health potion, and a spoon? well I am still a beginner, I can't steal things like large gold amounts or weapons" he said to himself. He turned to see a flamboyantly dressed black haired man with a scarf talking to a pink haired woman and he smiled. Rilo decided to try running between them, pushing them aside, while stealing gold from both of them in the process. Once he had committed his crime, he used his freerunning perk to climb a nearby wall and head towards some rooftops. ✝All of your dreams come true, for the right price✝

Magnus said, aware that he had enough time to actually play games. He just chose to devote his time to his family. Now that they're gone, however, he had to take his mind off of it. If he was being completely honest with himself, Magnus would probably have snagged a copy of Cerich Online had he kept playing after he got married. His performance and slight renown from previous games were enough to have game companies recognize him, along with multiple others like Dima.
As he began to walk outside of town and hit the first few monster zones, he chuckled as she made remarks on his way of speaking. Truly, he knew nothing of how old Dima was, but considering most of the players he's come across were teenagers, he was inclined to assume she was no more than 20. Maybe 19. He wasn't that much older than her, but having a family made him act older than he should be.
"Alright. So I take the brunt and you pepper them with arrows? Just like old times?" Magnus said keeping an eye out for random monster encounters as they got farther from town.

She said when he explained he had two mouths to feed excluding himself. She really wasn't one to inquire much about other's outsides lives, it was bad etiquette for one, though the past tense was curious. She didn't press the matter and decided to focus on the game at hand. She chuckled as she listened to his plan, "Yeah, except my aim is a little better than a mere peppering. Aim for archers is partially about the skill of the MMO player without stat help. You should know I stick to archer class in MMOs when available, my aim only keeps improving. Unless the monsters have ridiculous evasion stats, I'll hit my target," She added with a smirk. "But, yeah, just like old times. You found one of the best archers around, after all. And, don't worry, I've got your back." She said with a wink. "With you taking the brunt I can totally get experience points that much quicker. Win-win, right?" As they talked they had reached the edge of town where there was mostly hills and the occasional pack of wolves and a few other monsters lulling and roaming about-along with the occasional character who had beat them there already on the hunt. Motioning to the plains she said, "Well, here we are. I'll let you pick the targets since you are taking the brunt."➳⊙ ⊕

Unlike Dima, Magnus hasn't really much fame for himself, except that he's a familiar face and has participated in nearly all the major raids.
"Four wolves up ahead. Gonna go get their attention!" He huffed, then used a dashing skill to close the gap between him and the four wolves. Immediately, aggro was on him, and he was happy to be in combat after so long.
