N/A What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? One of his mother necklaces he acquired when he was a young foal. Short IC Response: The moon was high in the sky smiling down upon him. It was cold and with every breath he took steam rose into the night sky. Though it was a frigged night he did not feel the cold. He would never feel cold for as long as he could love someone with all his might. She was there besides him he knew she was there and he slowly stretched out one of his wings till he felt it make contact. Glancing over he saw her there glowing in the moonlight his own angel in the darkness. He smiled at her his eyes warm enough to melt through the cold. He would never grow tried of seeing her she was his world and he hoped he was hers as well. From such unhappy beginnings both he was now content knowing the spirits had guided him to a purpose. He looks back up to the sky and notices a start shining brighter than the moon. Closing his eyes he gathers everything withing himself. "I make a wish to the stars and moon..That we may be blessed with a foal to call our own.. We have a true love..the foal will be one of love and compassion..I wish to spend the rest of my life with my light my love..Pleae grant my..our wish and help this family to become one again.." he glances back at Hisako and know she feels the same way. He walks closer to her and stands there not ever wanting the moment to end.

Short IC Response: Aiko looked up at the Wishing Star, bright in the night sky. She sighed, heart heavy. Her family was enormous; it seemed that just about everyone had love, a partner, children. She'd spent most of her time as a foal and as a young adult learning, studying, absorbing the world. Other than mentors, she hadn't made many personal connections, despite her friendliness and outgoing personality. Aiko wanted children. A family of her own, someone to pass her knowledge onto. She closed her eyes. "Wishing Star - would you bring a foal into my life?" she thought, as hard as she could.

The wolf paw that hangs from her cloak. Short IC Response: Mariketa visions had let her know that tonight was the time when the heavens granted the wishes of soq from throughout the lands. The night air still held the heat of the humid day but slowly the heat would fade away in the night darkened hours. Carefully she made her way to a nearby hilltop. The walk up has calmed her nerves and centered her courage. Mariketa knew that she needed to ask if she didn't then her wish would have no chance to flourish. "Miracles are a rare and seldom given. They seem like fairy tales the stories we tell foals so they still believe in hope and believe that good always defeats evil. I want a 2nd chance at motherhood. This time I want to teach my offspring to be strong but i wish for them to retain their innocent nature longer. My daughters from the twisted tunnel are both brave and clever but I feel like they missed part of foalhood in their hurry to become strong members of the herd. "Mariketa placed the wolf foot on a rock and bowed her head to the sky. "I want a new beginning to rectify my past mistakes. This time I want to raise a foal to be strong but also to understand that joy can be found in the world."

N/A What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A large pearl Short IC Response: Iie watched as the familiar shape of her friend disappear into the shadows of the moonlight night. It had been a while since the two of them had talked, usually it was about their children if not grandchildren. Her heart ached with joy and sadness all at once, she loved every one of her children and so did Khag however there lingering still in the back of the mare’s odd mind was the thought of the lost basket. There was whispers of her existing, a mare old enough to be her daughter but it was not the same. She was raised by someone else, by blood she may have been her daughter but they were complete strangers and worse of all knowing nothing of her parents. Peering up at the stars again the shark teeth gleamed in the faint moonlight as she started to whisper. “Iie hears of a tale, a tale that those who linger above may give a gift. Iie has many treasures to offer, and star wish givers may take what you want even the string of pearls. Whatever star wish givers want Iie gives willingly what Iie ask in return is for more children, children to replace the one stolen from Iie. Children of Iie and Iie’s friend.” She wondered if they could hear them, or that some passerby would think of her merely mad in the head for talking to the sky.

Short IC Response: Dance sneaks quietly up to the Altar, not wanting anyone to see her. She was some what certain her father would be a little disapproving... Though only a little... and she might be wrong... But she didn't want to find out. When she was sure she was alone, she gently placed the ribbon on the Altar, and looked towards the sky, smiling a little. "Wishing Star, so bright and high, would you consider my wish? I met... a handsome stallion. He was wonderful, and strong, and... We had fun together. I realized, after, that he did not love me, nor did I truly love him, though perhaps I thought I did. What I loved, mostly, was the way I felt free when I was with him."
She pauses, then continues. "Star, I wish for... a child, a child to remind me of that wonderful freedom, and that happiness from the time I spent in his company. Please, Wishing Star, consider sending me such a joy filled gift? Thank you..."

We're Golden! We Want Two Baskets for [Pollack] & [sage_the_vampric_angel]! An Extra GiftParent 1: Her uncert with items Uncert without items Parent 2: [Uncert]Link to Breeding Permission: [<3] Lifemates: Yes! Are Either Ponies Co-Owned? No If Yes to the Co-Own, Please List Who Is Uneligible? NA What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? With the very first piece of jewerly Mire made for her. Short IC Response: (I went slightly overboard with this but...yolo! HAVE ALL THE FEELS.) Huffs of pained breaths could be heard as the blue mare made her way up to the altar of the great wishing star. Even with her scales giving her more time on dry land this long journey without any fresh water to wet her gills in was not easy. Normally she would not even take such a risk traveling inland this far...however...this journey and the offering to perhaps get a blessing from the spirits was too great for her not to try.
With a shaky mouth Keiko managed to slip the gold seashell bracelet off of her leg and lay it onto the great stone altar which was already full of gifts before her knees buckled bringing her weight crashing down. With a cry she pressed her large finned tail onto the side that she landed on. No! No! She had not came this far only to have to turn back now. She had to do this, not only for herself but for her darling Mire.
Keiko took in a deep breath pausing for a moment before her head lifted towards the heavens one bright star that was rumored to grant miracles catching her eye. Her voice was rasped and very soft but still she figured that if the spirits could grant miracle offspring then they would have the power to hear one mare's plea no matter how quiet it was. "Spirits I am honored enough if you are listening. But, it is..." A frustrated frown formed on her face. It just didn't sound right to just go right into begging no if she was going to do this she would have to go into their story before asking the star. That would be best. "Mire and I met what seemed like a lifetime ago. I was such a young mare back then my mind still recovering from having to flee to these lands after a great flood struck my old home. He gave me friendship and a safe place to rest my head. During this time he had found a basket that was left for dead in the desert, a basket he later learned was his own son. He was so scared knowing that he was too young to be a father and had no knowledge about child rearing. I decided to help him look after the offspring till they were able to handle themselves on their own."
A heartful laugh rang throughout the air. Though her eyes were glazed over with tears a large smile was beaming on her face from the flood of memories coming back to her. "What I was not expecting was that I would get attached and fall in love with both father and son. Durin started to look towards me as his mother and I...wanted that. I wanted to be a family with him and his father. That was when I realized that I loved Mire and wanted to stay with him. Still, I was foolish enough to think that he didn't care for me. So when Durin was old enough I was ready to leave Mire came up to me with a final parting gift. It was a bracelet, true it most eyes it would have a crude almost ugly thing to wear but to me it was the most beautiful thing I was ever given. It was clear that it was not easy for him to make even with the help of a two-legger and it took weeks of hard work. I accepted it telling him that it was my most treasured item and he...he replied that he hoped that I would also treasure all the love he was leaving with me as well. Yes, wishing star I know it does sound quite cheesy but my Mire has never been the best with saying is feelings romantically."
"As you could imagine next I did end up staying with him. We have been living happily ever after. Though we have had our hardships, ups and downs, and years to watch our son grow up and find his own fate the one thing we have not been blessed with is a family truly made with both of us." Her tone went dark and serious as her ears pinned down. She wasn't proud of the fact that even though her husband was clearly a fertile stallion they had still not been able to have more children. "That is...that is what I want more than anything. I want to see the joy on his face of fatherhood once more. We want to see our very own children fill our home and grow up. It is not that I do not love and feel blessed to be the mother to my son now but...I...want to experience motherhood with my own blood. Yet for years we have been trying and for years still our home is empty. I grow fearful that now I am too old to conceive children and that this dream of mine will never be fulfilled. Wishing star, spirits, whoever is listening...please you are my last hope. If you shall not grant me children from my womb at least might I have children from the stars?"

N/A What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star?Shania and Dhiren both leave a feather from their wings and Shania had her familiar remove a flower from her necklace so she could leave it with their offering. Short IC Response: Shania and Dhiren make their way together to the wishing star. On their way they meet many couples and singles who have come to make their own pleas to the infamous star. Shania smiles sweetly at Dhiren, dreaming of her future with him and the children she hopes to one day have with him. As they near the spot where many others have laid offerings, she ponders on what to say. Dhiren walks in step beside her, and lays the offerings at their feet; a feather from his own wing, another from Shania's wing, and a flower from Shania's necklace. In the silence that follows, he takes the initiative to make his own plea. "Wishing Star, we come to you to ask that you may take our humble offering and know that as our hearts are dedicated to each other, that we want to extend that love onto a child. We have heard of the great and wondrous blessings that have come from making a wish here, and can only hope that our wish is heard." Shania's heart swelled with love at her mate's words. There wasn't much that she could add. "Thank you," she whispered, to both Dhiren and the star, showing her gratitude for his beautifully spoken wish and the opportunity for making it. As they turned to leave, a tear of happiness and love rolled down her cheek and fell onto the flower that lay at her feet.

If Yes to the Co-Own, Please List Who Is Uneligible? NA Link to at least one RP that indicates them as a couple: [Savior]What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A long dried up sea star Short IC Response:
It was late in the evening, curled up under a tree did Ikinya, Cuauhcoatl and the basket lay. She'd wanted to sleep outside tonight, it was such a lovely evening out and the stars were out in abundance...including one very special star. The mare looked up longingly at its warm, inviting glow. She knew many would be visiting its shrine tonight, as they had done so many times before, but as she had curled partially around their previous basket still nestled between them from not that long ago she couldn't fathom making the journey and leaving it alone. Looking to her sleeping love, she smiled and looked down to the dried sea star she'd found on the beach today during her walk; she thought to bring it back to show her children. With risk of waking her love, she looked up at the star and smiled; speaking to it with her thoughts and her heart. Hello Wishing Star, its so nice to see you again. I'd leave you a present at your altar but we are still blessed with your gift of this beautiful basket from last time you came to our skies. I couldn't imagine heading back and leaving this little one behind. I hope you accept this star, as a thank you for all the wonderful souls you've blessed us with. We are just so, so fortunate. As always though, if you happen to find anyone, young or old, land or sea who need a home...our hearts are always open. We've been blessed with our wonderful new family member, Hesketh - that poor fellow was put into a basket! And of course, this little one. Till next time, my old friend. Ikinya nuzzled the basket, and then the cheek of Cuauhcoatl till she rested her head down on his foreleg; drifting back to sleep.

N If Yes to the Co-Own, Please List Who Is Uneligible? N/A What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? One of her tail tendrils Short IC Response: Shinoma had not shared that she was going to do this with Firestorm, hadn't dropped a single word or hint. Mostly because she knew that what she was doing made her look sentimental at the least, and a weak mare at the most. And now wasn't the time to be seen that way, not when her mate needed her the most. So she'd kept this to herself, heading into the hills when she knew she was alone, and had waited for the night to fall.
When it did, and the brightest light was in the sky, she took a breath, curled her tail around and grasped firmly on one of the coiling tendrils that grew from the end. With a sharp and tearing tug, she whipped her head one way and her tail the other, blood splashing darkly on the grass around her. Teeth gritted around the tendril as pain throbbed through her tail and then she dropped it on the ground before her, looking up at the light that was known as the Wishing Star.
'My blood for new blood. I want a child I will never have to say goodbye to..have taken from me for reasons of advancement, or leave because I could not accept them as they are.' she let out a long sigh.
'I have to be cold and brutal to foe and prey, but I shall be that way to my blood no more. If they spring into this world as innocent as a lamb and stay that way all their life, they will still always know their mother's love..' she fell silent, her gaze still skywards, on the distant celestial light.
'Bring me a daughter. Please. One I shall not let leave my side. She will never be used as chattel in an agreement, she will be loved as she is..what I have failed at so many times before, I shall make amends from this moment. Help me in this.'
She stepped back from the 'offering', her tail still stinging, and walked slowly away without a backward glance. Shinoma had no idea if her plea had been heard, but if it was not, it would be struck from memory and be locked away with her other regrets and failures. ((ooc: I know I can't specify gender, but it is Shinoma's wish ^_~ ))

Short IC Response: The altar stood before them, bathed in the light from the star above it. In a way the altar was foreboding, and yet welcoming at the same time. Leilani and Rhamiel approached the altar, stopped and looked into each others eyes, each nervous in their own ways. As friends Leilani and Rhamiel could be considered close. Both wanted children and after many failed romances on both sides had decided to become parents together. Rhamiel stepped forward first, and with help from Leilani plucked the feather he had worn in his hair for years. The edges were worn and ragged but the feather meant a lot to him. Leilani followed suit and with help from Rhameil plucked the feather from her wing to place it with his. Then together they each took a fire flower from her hair and placed them on either side of the feathers. She smiled and nuzzled against Rhamiel's neck. Best friends made good parents too.

We're Golden! We Want Two Baskets for [Divena & DivenasMom] & [Bardess Ookami]!
An Extra Gift Parent 1:
 Uncert Parent 2:
Uncert Link to Breeding Permission: Here Lifemates: Yes Are Either Ponies Co-Owned? Yes If Yes to the Co-Own, Please List Who Is Uneligible? Divena and DivenasMom will co-own one of the baskets What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A string of acorns and pinecones strung together Short IC Response: Frost laid the trinket on the alter before gazing up at the sky. She tried to speak, but her crippling shyness caused the words to freeze in her throat. After her third attempt only succeeded with a wordless squeak, she gave up on that and tried to send her thoughts up to the star in a wordless prayer. It didn't have to be spoken aloud, right? A wish of the heart could be heard just as clearly as one that was said aloud. At least she hoped so.
And so, it was with that hope, that she thought to the star. She thought of her life before she had found her mate. She thought of how lonely it was, when she was too shy to be around anyone for any length of time. She had thought she was happy at the time. She had wanted to be happy, so much that she ignored the emptiness inside her. And then Jayhk had come into her life...
She sent those memories up to the Wishing Star. She remembered how she had found Jayhk, half frozen outside her cave one winter. She thought about how she had nursed him back to health, expecting him to leave her once he was able to. And then, her shock and dismay when he had chosen to remain with her to repay her kindness. He had been unlike anyone she had ever met, and, in time, she had grown comfortable with him in a way she had never been with anyone else. It was because he had refused to leave, because of his patience, that she had fallen in love with him.
They had been together for several years, now. And she sent those happy memories up to the star, wrapped up in all the love she felt for her mate, and all the love she received from him. Next came the unanimous agreement for them to start their own family. Jayhk had always wanted children, and she had finally warmed to the idea, wanting to make her love happy. But she had failed him.
Oh, he would never accuse her of failing him. He thought the sun and moon rose and set on her, and she knew it. It was because he loved her so unconditionally that she wanted to make him happy. And it was because he loved her so much that she blamed herself for failing to conceive. They'd tried again and again, for so long... and nothing.
With tear filled eyes, she gazed up at the star and managed one single one. "Please," she whispered softly, as loud as her voice ever grew. Please grant her a child. Any child. She would love it with all her heart, and she knew her mate would as well. If only the would be so blessed. She whispered, again, "Please." I specifically stated in the rules -- if you've got a co-owner, you have to pick one or the other to receive the basket. If you wanted to co-owner after, that's fine, but as of right now we have no way of knowing who gets the basket. So. Entry is voided. neutral Sorry, it was stated in the rules to pick one or the other.

His tooth necklace from his parents Short IC Response: Astucia approached the top of the brightly lit hill. He had been up here once before... It was a good distance up to the top. Just as he approached the place to view the fabled Wishing Star, the sun was setting in the distance. He watched as it slowly sank under the horizon and the stars slowly came out of their hiding places. He loved the night sky. It was so sparkly with stars tonight though... One simply knew it was a special night. As he continued to gaze, he saw it. The brightest star, the Wishing Star. Smiling up at it, Astucia removed the necklace from his parents. Then necklace he had been given before the Great War. Before he had been separated from them. Placing it down gently, he looked back up at the star. "So we meet again. I know you didn't see fit to allow me to meet my sister once again... But, perhaps, you could allow me to have a child." He looked back down at the ground, admiring the view for a moment before looking back up at the star. "I have found a strong mother to help influence this child..." Astucia trailed off a bit. He didn't think that the star really cared to hear how he believed that Kalona needed to be strong to raise a good family. He looked back up again. "I just ask a child to raise Dear Star. A child to shower with all the love that my parents showed me. A child who will grow strong and proper. One who knows how to be a proper Kalona." Astucia sighed a bit. "It would mean so very much to me to be able to give someone the love that my parents showed me..." Then, without looking back up to the star, he laid down. Deciding to sleep the rest of the night away on that hill top under the gazing light of the Wishing Star.
