32. A long-dead Grandfather tree towers over this section of the swamp. In investigating the hollows of its enormous trunk, you find a patch of luminescent fungi. If you attempt to take it, it is too bitter to hold in your mouth, and causes a strange prickling pain where it touches you.
In another dead tree's trunk, Light had found luminescent growth again.
His mind told him not to touch it but his body did something else. Again, tongue wrapped around a mushroom-like growth he pulled on it. These too, secreted an unpleasant bitter taste. Immediately he let go and spat out some saliva. His tongue hurt from the prickling pain. He ran away to find water to rinse the terrible taste out of his mouth.

16. A smooth, sunbleached lynx skull lies in a clearing.
He found another stream nearby but had to cross a clearing first. Quickly he ran across it and stumbled upon a lynx skull.
"Ooo this could be used to please a legendary," he rambled on, "but Idle never said he needed this. I better hurry. Today's the last day to get things."
Light found water and drank it in big gulps to get rid of the bitter taste in his mouth before moving on with searching.

25. You had every intention of bringing this perfect fallen fruit back to Never Idle, but temptation won out, and you ate it yourself. Way to go.
"What a beautiful fruit! Idle would love this!" He picked it up and started his way back. The more he got to sniff the fruit in his mouth the more he salivated.
Eventually, temptation creeped in and he ended up eating it to stop the hunger in his stomach.

18. You find a plant of absolutely intoxicating scent, surrounded by hummingbirds. It proves impossible to transport their nectar, but nothing's stopping you from sampling some while you're here.
His senses got heightened as his stomach rumbled again. The smell of delicious sweet nectar filled the air. He needed to know where it was coming from.
Looking around, he noticed a few hummingbirds and charged at them to chase them away. The flowers became unattended and he nipped off the flowers, only leaving the steams visible. The sweet nectar gave him chills down his back since it tasted so good. He ate a few more, was satisfied about the sweet snacks, and moved on.

26. Your nosy poking around has disturbed an angry old mare, who chases you off her land. You escape without incident. ......
This time, Light was certain that he was searching in the same locations. Again, the old snappy mare had given chase to try and n** his hide. Again, he escaped the angry mare without harm. Just where are the remaining items to be found, wondered Light.

15. You find a marvelously-intact shed snakeskin.
"AH! More snake skins." Now the acha really wondered if all he had been doing was travel in a big great circle in the swamp. He had seen these before. Same with the grumpy mare and those curly birch barks on the ground...

37. You trip, right yourself, and trip again. Not three steps later you trip once more. You would almost swear that there's some invisible creature winding around your legs. In fact--what was that?
He pondered about things as he traveled and tripped over nothing. After getting up he tripped again. "This feels strangely familiar..." he whispered. True enough, after three more steps, something had tripped him again and he fell over into the wet soil. He shook himself clean and began to run. Curious as he is, he didn't want to find out what it was that kept tripping him out of nowhere.

39. A patch of wildflowers rolls down a hill. Maybe you're distracted long enough to pluck a few for a friend or a lover, or maybe flowers aren't your thing. Either way: these are of no help to Never Idle.
As he ran, he saw a patch of wildflowers swept away by the wind and rolled down the hill. They landed onto the soft soil not too far out of his reach, but the acha ignored it. There was no one special he had to woo, and honestly, all he wanted to find was just one more item for Idle.

33. You follow the sound of buzzing to a likely-looking hive. You have options!
- Procure a chunk of wax yourself, but spend the rest of the day nursing your stings (try again tomorrow) Success!
- Get a friend to help you devise a means of distraction or engineering to secure a chunk of wax unharmed. Friend required. Success!
- Reroll: this is too risky for you!

Light was about to turn left to go into the direction of where the mountain trail had been laid out ahead with footprints of wild totomas, but got stopped by loud buzzing noises nearby. He followed the commotion and ended up seeing a hive that hung low off a branch due to its weight, surrounded by giant wasps that minded their own business in protecting their hive.
He stood there for a moment. From what he saw, having a friend to help out would seem to finish the task a lot faster but there was no one around. He was also tired of wandering the swamp filled with distractions.
Maybe, if i could charge right in and did a headbutt, the hive would snap off and plummet to the ground, he thought. Not sure how his plan would work out, he scanned the wasps and the surrounding. Seemed do-able but the pond of water he saw earlier was located a bit further away...
The buck paced back and forth as he played several scenarios in his mind but all of them ended up with him headbutting the hive to fall off. He took a few deep breaths and charged into the danger.
The giant wasps instantly noticed the stranger and started to attack the acha. Light bucked his head left and right as he used his long antlers to ward of the stingers. He succeeded in swatting off a few and received two painful stings as he jumped up high and headbutted the hive with all his might. It broke off from the branch and plummeted to the ground with a loud crack and split in two.
Again as he had landed on all fours, and went to break off a piece of wax from the broken hive, he received a third sting and got greeted by the queen wasp. Luckily, she had no stinger and he ran away as quickly as he could with a piece of wax in his mouth.
The stinging didn't stop until he had weaved his way through the bushes and dove into the pond he saw a while ago. Only his nose peeked out above the water as the rest of his body remained under and unseen.
Light paddled his legs in quick jerks to keep himself afloat in the water and waited until the wasps flew away. The stings he received started to numb the muscles in his body. Eventually the angry wasps deserted the intruder and flew away.
After the coast was clear, Light swam ashore and dragged himself out of the water. The stings he had received started to numb his sore muscles and he flung the wax chunk to the floor. Baring his teeth, he pulled all of the sharp needles out of his body, and his eye sight became blurry. Worn out and tired, he picked up the wax chunk and carried it with him as he gave a loud yawn.
Tired and worn out, Light had finally made his way over to a thick tree trunk and leaned against it. Slowly, he slid lower and curled up into a ball on the ground. Exhaustion hit him. He struggled to lick his wounds and gave up in the end.

Light had spend most of his day resting beside the tree trunk. The acha did not move again to finish delivering the items to Idle until night fall. He never knew that being a gatherer could be so tiresome but was nonetheless curious to know what other tasks will await him tomorrow.
