~Lady Kanna~
“Hells,” he mutters, and there’s a bit of a rattle: he lifts both their hands, and his fingers are at her chin, tilting her face up to him. “You know I cain’t say no to you, right? I cain’t.” He kisses her then, turning her tactic back on her, hoping that he will distract her: his warm lips on hers, starting at the corner of her mouth and working his way inward with half a dozen slow kisses, drawing out the moment as best that he can. He will let her go only once she is breathless, drawing back: and though the set of his shoulders shows he still feels the weight of his shame, that he has been somehow defeated, at least it is also clear that he means to oblige her by remaining at her side.
Taking a deep breath himself, First will lean forward just a little to finally accept his cup of tea from Last: a bit shaken, perhaps a bit drawn, but .. he will stay, and all else will surely come with time. “Besides,” First adds, with almost a sigh, not looking too close at either of them, “it’ll make this whole marriage thing easier.”
Last picks up his train of thought immediately, with a little snort of laughter. “Yeah, if anybody asks which one’ve us is yours, neither’ve us’ll have to lie.” Leaning in over the bed, he will kiss Rosa himself before he stands up and moves away, heading back down into the shop. “Make sure he eats, will you? Gee says he’s all bones these days.”
