"Nice to meet you, Shu Lei." It was quite comforting to know that there was another Chinese person here on Deus. Well, Kylee was half-Chinese, so that counted. Sort of.
"I'm doing okay, actually--" She was cut off by the other girl's next question. Eyes widened in surprise and Kylee glanced down at herself, though it wasn't as if she was able to see her own face. "Um yeah. Do I not look Asian? My dad was from Taiwan and my mom's Korean..."
Bix's voice drew her attention, and she found herself listening to the information provided and attempting to file it away in her head instead.

"Nooooo not like that - er-" The girl waved her hands in front of her chest and shook her head. "I-It is more like it's a bit unbelivable to meet another Asian here. You know, so many foreigners and this-this is a foreign country....." She tried to explain but only get it more confusing.
Luckily, Bix came into rescue! Their Deus Tour finally started. "Let's walk together?" She gingerly suggested, following the rest who began to walk after Bix. They soon arrived at the Main HQ, where their division leads's offices located. The tiny girl picked out a pen and a folder paper from the pouch, started making some remarks on the maps drawn with caterpillar lines. "HQ-Building, Lead-offices, duty-rosters, supplies." She read as she wrote.
Soon, they moved on, the shorter trainee smiled to Kylee. "Have you seen your division lead yet?" She paused to give her some times for the answer before asking another question. "Sorry for the stupid question earlier, you do look like a beautiful asian, really! So- do you listen to j-pop or k-pop music? And how to write your Chinese name? Mine is - "Dong" is the one with the meaning of supervising; "Shu" is the one means book and "Lei" is the one means flower bud, so it's 董書蕾. How about yours?" The little Death Trainee seemed to be too happy and excited to talk to another Chinese, question followed by another question, but not interrupting Bix's introduction.
"That's true." Kylee bobbed her head in agreement. The majority of the people here were certainly not of their race, but being born and raised in America? She had accepted that she was technically seen as one of the minorities.
"Not yet." She admitted, falling into step besides Shu Lei. "I suppose I will soon, really. And it's okay! Back in high school, people used to ask if I was Japanese." And then she had to explain that she certainly wasn't. "I don't really listen to j-pop," She had a soft spot for shoujo manga though, "but k-pop? Yep!"
Oh, her Chinese name? Uh... Kylee looked slightly embarrassed as she slowly explained. "It's 张凯丽. Zhang as in you know, the common surname; Kai as in triumphant, and Li as in pretty. My dad wasn't... very original in my naming, which is why my Chinese and English name sounds very similar."

The Death Trainee was much relieved because the taller girl didn't seem mad. "Um, you are from Life...so your lead should be Dr.H." She peeked at the gold branch like symbol on her coat.
"Oh do you have a twitter? It's a good way to quickly make friends with other hunters and gather some useful information. And -and also DIANA! It's like a wikipedia especially for hunters. I love them and use them a lot!" She recommended.
What Kylee then said bothered she a bit. "You were going to an international school?" In her case, she attended a local Chinese school so no one really would doubt her nationality. "Oh k-pop, do you have any favourite? Sadly the island has limited access to media......" She pouted, missing those days she watched animes, read manga and listened to pop music. Thinking of that, she kicked away a small stone blocking her way.
"It's a beautiful and meaningful name, like a blessing, it's a good name." She smiled, but recalling the origin of hers made her sad inside. Her mother and her father....She raised her head and looked at the front, her focus seemed to located at a infinite point. "Mine sounds like shoelace, so Kylee is a very lovely one hehe~!" She turned back and grinned.
Dr H, huh? That certainly sounded like someone that was in a position of authority.
"Not yet." She admitted. "I suppose I should create one." The only social media platform she had was Facebook, and even then, she had barely even touched it in her college years. Besides, it wouldn't do for her to log on and cause a frenzy with the people she had left behind. She doubted that it would be a good thing for Deus anyway.
"Born and raised in America. Los Angeles, actually." Kyle supposed this meant that Shu Lei wasn't an Asian-American, but it didn't matter. "Um, Girls Generation is definitely a favorite. And sometimes I listen to other songs from other groups... but it's not like I can easily catch up on comebacks and music charts anymore."
Shoelace? Well, she certainly hadn't thought of that. "I think Shu Lei is a cute name." She said with a laugh. "But I do suppose I'm lucky that Kylee sounds good either way."

"You should!" She brightened up, "I met a lot of nice and great people there, and getting some useful advice and information. It's a good place to start for trainee." The shorter Death trainee encouraged. "I didn't use twitter before, but on the island with limited connection media, it's a convenient one. Also, good to kill time if you have nothing to do." She added.
"Oh I see, that's why your English is so fluent!" She was like a light bulb lighted up. "Girl Generation - um - is that You'd better~run~run~run~run~run~?" She tried to sing a lyric of which maybe one of their songs. She didn't just listen to anime or vocaloid or j-pop, but those were her focus. She blinked.
She beamed at the taller girl. "Thank you! You are so nice~!" The shorter girl paused her step and turned around, taking Kylee 's hands and shook. Then, she seemed to recall something bad, and with her cheeks puffed, she mumbled, "Shoelace was said by Z, he said it fitted me because my stupid mind is as empty as the rope, aka none. He is mean, right?"
Her emotion changed quickly, the next minute she was curious again. "Where do you think our next stop will be?"
"I'll probably do it after this tour, then." It certainly sounded intriguing enough. Sometimes she was really a mess of nerves, considering she didn't know anyone here at all, and being one of the new kids had worried her slightly. But people here seemed friendly enough, and hey, she wasn't going to turn down a chance to acclimatize herself socially.
"Yes!" Kylee beamed. "Genie's my favorite song though! You know, sowoneul malhaebwa~ I'm genie for you, boy~" She would have continued singing if they weren't in a huge group, and plus, she was pretty sure she would have butchered some Korean words. Her mother was Korean, yes, but Kylee only knew some choice phrases in that language.
"Awww," Her expression softened. "Well, he chose you, remember? He'll warm up to you soon enough."
"Uhh, it looks like we're heading towards the dorms? ...I think. I've still been contemplating drawing a map of this place."

“YES! Bats vs Harley Quinn! It’s –DESTINY-“ he grinned with a fist pump in the air. Let’s DO this.” He held out a hand to high five her, his grin at least as big as her own. //Oh yes, this should be entertaining, do you think they assign Skill points when the little girl kicks your skinny butt? Or will you make her CRY?//
He shook his head and tapped the side of it. “That is going to take SO much getting used to.”
//You have NO idea//
“You done this before? I’m kinda looking forward to it, I mean so long as I don’t like, you know, smack myself in the head with my own pole-arm-spear thing.
Bix tried not to get distracted by comic book talk but it was totally his thing. Instead he just kept glancing back at people until he was positive who was chatting. He'd register all that for later.
"Ok! SO! Dorms." Bix waved at the building behind him. "Where you live. First floor is trainees, second floor is for full hunters. Huge perks of working your butt off include your own room with various options like mini kitchen and your own bathroom!" Which was kind of a big deal, to be honest.
"Upon reaching full rank you can also get your own house down in the town." He motioned that way but you couldn't see it from here. "But that is pretty much at your own risk. You may end up spending more time fixing up your house than living in it. As newbs you don't get much leave time but eventually you will be allowed to go out into the real world to buy yourself nice things. Just be careful! And remember than YOU ARE DEAD. Or at least, who you were is dead. No going home or to places you may get recognized."
Bix glanced back up at the dorm and then down. "Any questions about living situation?"
Dakota rested his arms around Cami and Jasper, grinning at the pair.
"You're distracting our fearless tour leader with his Kyrptonite." Dakota aimed a wink mostly at Cami. "So you're a sun, and you're a moon." His gaze turned to Jasper, "Do you guys wanna try tag teaming me, and not in that way, to work on team up skills?" Dakota grin grew even wider, "It's been a long time since I've got to help trainee's! Especially Moon bros."
Poor Jasper got a hard pat on the back because Dakota is ALLLLLLLL about Moon Bro's.
Noemi kept following, with Oliver until the group stopped at certain points. At one point, she disappeared....
and reappeared near Stormy.
"¿Es Lina?...." She looked at the mist hunter...."¿Me recuerdas?"

Peyton had fallen quiet again after introductions had been made, and she fell into step behind the taller Sun hunter as the tour began. A short, quiet shadow.

She didn't so much as look at Gale even as she felt his gaze, turned away and gripping her hat down until it almost obscured her vision. If she couldn't see him, then eventually he wouldn't be able to see her. Stormy followed dutifully, afraid to leave now but growing more anxious the longer she stayed; it was a no-win situation.
She stiffened when Noemi appeared again, an apparition she just couldn't get rid of. "You were in a dream," Stormy mumbled, staring straight ahead. "You weren't supposed to be real. You're not supposed to be here." She clutched at herself, sucking in air like it was in limited quantity and edging closer to Peyton, hoping company would make the ghost disappear. She couldn't handle both Noemi and Gale there at the same time.
"Please enjoy the tour."

"Ah, thanks," Nora told the girl (Shoe? Huh) as she took two pieces of sweets and followed along. The cafeteria she was aware of as that was where she and Kylee had met (and, seeing the girl talking to "Shoe", waved a little).
"So!" Gale would find her sliding up right next to him, offering one of her new treats. "That your girlfriend, eh? Looks a little like a druggie if you ask me," Nora told him conversationally.
To Bix, she called out, "I got one for you: what on earth is going on with the living situation in the basement? I've got a torture rack opposite my bed."

The tour was reassuring, in a nice, 'you know more than you thought you did' way. Having someone formally showing them around put him a little more at ease, it was like those university tours he had attended back when he thought picking a school was one of the great difficulties of his life. And he was learning a bit too.
The kid seemed to perk up as the living arrangements were described, it gave him a sense of relief knowing that sharing showers might not be a permanent thing. He glanced towards Noemi to see if she shared his enthusiasm. But the moment Bix mentioned "DEAD" he wilted visibly. That was right, he wasn't going to be around that long. Finn had tried to convince him otherwise, but he knew better. This was only temporary, and not in a 'work hard and get a better room' way.
Oliver suddenly had no desire to continue the tour, but he didn't want Noemi to be worried... Wait. Where did she go?
After some searching he noticed the girl had relocated, near Stormy and one of the other older hunters. The thought of simply leaving crossed his mind. He didn't want to interrupt, but his kindly Canadian disposition insisted he had to at least let Noemi know. He quietly, nervously made his way over to the three ladies, somehow seeming smaller than himself as he waited until Noemi had a moment.

Peytin gave a curious blink as Stormy edged up beside her, and those keen eyes flicked, between the short mist and gale, to the new red head that seemed to be trying to engage Stormy in someway, then back to girl in question with her low drawn hat and hollow looking eyes. It had the Sun drawing her lips into a thin line, and it didn't matter that she didn't know what was wrong, it just mattered that something was.
Biting the inside of her cheek, she wordlessly reached out to take Stormy's hand, and gave it a firm, reassuring sort of squeeze. A flicker of a smile followed, should she happen to look up, but those lavender eyes jumped up to the young man that was coming towards them.
A very nervous young man. He looked like he was ready to faint, or cry, or possible bolt at any given second. A soft smile was offered to him as well, hopefully comforting.
