lets get this over with ok?
the first parenthesis, reading (Z->) have the instructions 90 degrees after it.
That means you should "turn" it 90 degrees right (like tapping ^_^)
Thus Spelling

N
I
v

Then we have a simple hyphen (-)

The next parenthesis, reading (E- N2 W) also has the instructions 90 degrees following it.
That means once again that you should turn that parenthesis 90 degrees right.
Thus Spelling

M
I
Z2
E

There's the problem, the 2 next to the "N" is an indication that you should write a second "N" there.

Thus spelling (with the extra N and after turning it 90 degrees)

M
I
Z
Z
E

And then we have the "t" not intended to be turned in any way still remains one.

So if one was to put these four things togeather they would form the name:
NIV-MIZZEt

Then the last part of it reads = 1. This simply means that Niv-Mizzet equals one, i.e. he IS the one.

^_^ you got that all of you?

my favourites I think, are

"Years of attempts have brought the goblins no closer to growing a sausage tree"
- 7:th ed. Goblin Gardener
"If I wanted your opinion, I'd have told you what it was." —Pemmin, Riptide survivor
- Stifle
"If you find yourself and a friend being chased by a King Cheetah, you have but one chance: Trip your friend.—Suq'Ata wisdom"
- King Cheeta
Although in mathematics, 1= true. So it is the true Niv-Mizzet. It is said he makes lesser clones of himself.

you mean in binary 1 means true. I;ve never had someone in math tell me that 1 ment true, but in computer language, 1 means yes/on and 0 means no/off, the two states of the electrons the PC uses to communicate.

Look in my sig. Second favorite is from Gainsay: I'd be happy to stop contradicting you, Urza, just as soon as you start being right.

Trained Orgg (7th)
"That arm's for bashin'. That one's for smashin'. That one's for scratchin'. And that one... I don't know what that one's for" -Orgg trainer

Goblin Skycutter
He takes out his fear of heights on anything above his head.

Pardic Firecat
"I've heard of putting the cat out, but this isn't what I had in mind." -Nomad sentry

Martyr of Ashes
She turns ash into flames and burns the enemies to ash.

Yavimaya Wurm
When the gorilla playfully grabbed the wurm's tail, the wurm doubled back and playfully ate the gorilla's head.

1: This card's flavor text becomes the flavor text of your choice. (This ability doesn't work because it's flavor text, not rules text (But neither does this reminder text, so you figure it out).)

Binary IS math.

A few of my favorites are:

Commander Eesha: "War glides on the simplest updrafts while peace struggles against hurricane winds. It is the way of the world. It must change."

Foul Imp: The imp, unaware of its own odor, paused to catch its breath... and promptly died.

Savra, Queen of the Golgari: "Nature's most raw beauty is the circle: perfect in its continuance, with no break between death and life."

Coalition Victory: "You can build a perfect machine out of imperfect parts." —Urza

Dense Foliage: "Big plants not only good for hidin', but full o' tasty bugs, too." --Squee, goblin cabin hand

Blazing Archon: "Through the haze of battle I saw the glint of sun on golden mane, the sheen of glory clad in mail, and I dropped my sword and wept at the idiocy of war." --Dravin, Gruul deserter

Undergrowth: "The art of war is turning obstacle to advantage." --Jaeuhl Carthalion, Juniper Order Advocate

Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician: "Everybody but me--CHARGE!"

Price of Glory: "True strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me." --Kamahl, pit fighter

The goggles do nothing!

Infectious Host

"Lost man, deadman, knocking on the door. Cankerman, soreman, knock no more."
-Ravinican children's rhyme

I don't remember the card name or the actual txt but it goes something like "A common game among ogres is to see how many rotations of the head they can get before it pops off."

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind

"(Z->)90*-(E-N2W)90*t=1"
Ok so it's not exact, the two should be an exponent and the * should be a degree sign.

Runeboggle

"Ever try to count hyperactive schoolchildren while someone shouts random numbers in your ear? It's like that."
-Geetra, frustrated mage

Frazzle

"The chant was interrupted, the components cooked, and Zok worried that it was his brain he smelled smoking."

Reroute

"Three hundred years of practice thwarted by an instant of mischief."

But really, the single most effective piece of flavor text is from Unhinged's City Of a**.

"But..."

Just say it aloud once while looking at the card art and it will never fail to get a laugh. Ever. xd

Other gems from Unhinged:

Double Header - Players that don't read flavor text aren't too bright, sorta smell, and dress funny. But let's keep this between us, okay? They can get kind of violent.

Magical Hacker - 1|= y()u (4|*| r3@d 7#][5, y0|_| /* r3 @ IVI0/*/$+3|2 &33|<
*Replace the *'s with backslashes, because Gaia seems to be removing all backslashes from the posts.

Wet Willie of the Damned - Ever the warrior, Glissa responded with a "wedgie from beyond Uranus."

Dumb a** - Envying the intelligence of goblins is a bad place to be.

Uktabi Kong - "I desire the acquisition of a potassium-rich fruit comestible of substantial magnitude."

Mana Screw - There was no darker or more evil creation in all the multiverse than that of the mana screw.
