Ogbonna attacks! (Aiming for beast 3) Rolled: 7 (+3) = 10 MISS
Ogbonna felt himself staring up towards the three massive creatures in more awe than fear. Whoa, what were those things? Were they pets of the Obans? He blinked, before shaking his head free of his childish thoughts, he needed to attack! He jumped forward, aiming straight for the leg of the beast closest to him, when he glanced to his side and saw that Nua had wandered away.
"NUA!" He screamed, grasping onto his friend's arm. "Please try to keep calm and stay with me, okay? Those things are bad!" He referenced to the beasts. "We need to defeat them, and we can't do that if you aren't with me over here!"
There was a moment where Jacinthus felt a bit of hope, wathcing the way that the warriors from Oba seemed to be getting pushed back away. Did this mean that they might have a chance? That they might be able to chase the invaders back to where they came from, it was exciting... but just as he was starting to feel good about their chances that all changed. Jacin's eyes went rather wide, a little curse escaping his lips when he saw the monstrous things that were standing there before their army, "What in the name of..." He trailed off when one of the creatures suddenly came toward where he and his mate were standing, charging at them, "Takoda! Watch out!"
As the massive thing went at his mate his eyes went wide, "Hey! Beast! Get away from him!" He yelled at him, notching an arrow, lifting it up so that he could take a shot at the creature, trying to get it to back off away from Takoda. The fact that such a monster existed was more then enough for him but to see one of those things go after his sweet mate, it was rather enraging. Even as the first arrow flew he was already reaching for another, wanting to do his best to aid in taking these things down so that they could continue fighting with the Oban warriors.
The things that appeared, creatures bigger then anything that Chalcedony had ever run into, were a bit of a shock to the system. To think that such things like that existed, "Best not to let see Aysun see those." He murmured to himself, certain that his son would want one of them regardless the size. That was one beast that even he would have to say no to if his son were to ask for one of them.
Taking a good, firm hold of his shield he charge, taking a swing at the beast... only to have it lift it's leg, stepping over him as though it hadn't even noticed that he was there. Given his size he wouldn't really be all that surprised if he hadn't been noticed. No matter, he'd get it next time he thought to himself. Whirling around he moved to follow along after the creature's leg. Perhaps if they were able to hamstring the creature it would make it easier to fight with? He sure hoped so... and sure hoped that nobody told his son that he had fought with the beast, he'd be sure to be heart broken over such a thing. This was war though and he couldn't let such a thing dare to harm anyone even if it was just an instrument used by the Obans.
Rishima's antennae twitched rapidly as he starred at the massive beasts that were tromping their way. That was... something, wasn't it? To think that Oba had something like those on their side. Bah! No matter! He wasn't about to back down just because they were bigger then what he was used to. He had battled against that Legendary Beast once upon a time ago after all, with some of the same people that he was with now. The only difference being... well, Gerraden. He gave him a glance before he turned his attention back to the enemy. He would worry about him later, they couldn't pause for even a moment if they wanted to take down not one, not two, but three of these monsters.
As he raced forward his grasp on his weapons tightened and he pushed up off the ground, thrusting forward with his weapon, and buried the head of it into the muscles of the beast's leg. He hung there for a moment before he put his feet against the creature's leg and pushed off, tearing his the head of his spear free, and landed gracefully on the ground. He flicked his weapon to the side, knocking the blood aside, before he prepared to attack again.
Vollerei shook her head at the antics of the two young people. Hugging and kissing in battle with those sappy declarations? EWWW! War was serious and here they were acting all.. gross. People in love are all stupid, she thought to herself, her sister had acted that way too... weirdness! Why would you do something so stupid and act that way? Vollerei could not understand at all! Her only love was food! She didn't bother to hide her expression of weirded-out disbelief. Why bother? She was never one for hiding anything! "Yeah.... sure." She said as she felt the tremors beneath her feet.
Turning her head quickly, she narrowed her eyes as a beast charged the girl next to her... Vollerei jumped back and tried to spear the stomping leg that the girl had just dodged. She growled as her spear bounced off the armor.

Lasarra had tried to keep up with Sauron, although they had just met Lasarra knew how much the shifter meant to her sister. Than there was Rayolun that she had to keep an eye out. She kind of wished she had less people that mattered to her. Than all of a sudden there were three glorious beast. For a second she didn't move, they were wonderful and she wanted one but at the same time they were dangerous and although she wanted to stay and watch them she knew they had to be defeated.
Looking at the second beast she saw the beast come after her sister and she ran towards it with her whip. Sadly she didn't harm the beast but at least she was close to her sister. "Kelina! What are you doing here?" she said as she grabbed her sisters arm. She was an archer, she shouldn't have been so close to the beast.
The fighting was getting intense and when the three beast showed up she took a deep breath. Well that changed things some. They were beast that she had never seen before, and they looked to be well protected. She turned to fight off another warrior with her blades when all of a sudden one of the beast was coming towards her.
With a yelp she moved out of the way and swung at the beast with her swords, not damaging as much as she would have wished but hurting it none the less. They would not win, she had to much at stake.

"MOM!!" she screamed as the beast went towards her mother. She tried to hit it with an arrow but she was running towards it and by that point it was to close and her arrow went flying elsewhere. Luckily her mother was out of the way, and even managed to harm the beast. She was about to smile when she spotted. She knew that she should have stayed with the other archers, but she couldn't help it. Her mom was in trouble.
Things were so crazy at those few minutes she hadn't even noticed the Ice girl in front of her do things almost in sync with her. Kelina hadn't even noticed that the Alkidike stayed near her, she was grateful for that. Kel knew she was outside where she should normally be, but she had no choice. Her being in the wrong place was furthered by Lasarra showing up and getting her attention by grabbing her arm. Had Lasa not spoken, she was likely to have become a shifter pin cushion. Sighing in relief, Kelina also sighed in frustration. "I know I know. I shouldn't be here, but I had no choice, the press of fighters made it impossible for me to back." Kelina raised her hands in frustration, her left was gripped tightly to her bow and used her right hand to grab back to her sister. "This is your area of expertise, huh? Ready to put practice into reality? Unfortunately, I know you'd want to take one home, but I don't think they'd be up for that." She half joked with a smile.

BEAST THREE, 18 needed to hurt 8 + 10 = 18, hit 12 + 10 = 22/2 = 11 dmg
All throughout the battle all she could think about was her family. She had to get back to them, and she also had to make sure none of their foes made it back to them. She was deadly with her spear, though at the sight of the beast she did start to wonder for a second if they were in over their heads.
One of the beast tried to attack Aminah and was hit with a nasty spell. No, they still had hope. Zuri rushed towards the beast and managed to harm it with her spear. As long as they all fought together they would be fine. She knew it.

Nuawahn attempt to cast Barrier on Aminah! 4+7=11 +1 To Aminah's Defense for 2 turns
Nua felt so lost, in so many ways. It was like being in the middle of a sandstorm - like the one he'd gotten caught in that one time in the Tale.
Except it was people flying around and blades catching at cloth and skin, not sand. He searched frantically for Ogbonna, but he couldn't see him anywhere. Nuawhan whimpered, ducking and weaving through the crowd, desperate to find Oggie.
He wanted to hide, though. He really did. Why were people doing this? Why was there killing? This was supposed to be a grand adventure or... or... he didn't know! He didn't know what he had thought this 'war' was going to be, but he knew that it wasn't this... horrible chaos.
And then the beasts came.
He had thought that Mammu were big. He'd seen one. He liked Mammu.
These weren't mammu. He made a small sound, a warble like a baby kinfa calling to its mother, that was lost among the crashing of the beast's feet.
He ducked, watching a lady do the same. She was pretty, striking with white hair, and she seemed familiar. Had he met her before? He had seen her around... in the village that Takoda was in. But that was so long ago. A life ago, it felt. This place was forever, beyond time and space, the crashing and screams the only time that Nuawahn could perceive. Everything was so overwhelming, and all he could manage was that he didn't want the pretty lady to get hurt anymore. He called up his magic, huddling in the light of it, before sending some to her, watching it shimmer over her in a weak little shield of light.
Movement, familiar, caught his eye and, with a surge of hope, he saw it was Ogbonna! Ogbonna had found him! "Oggie..." he said, hugging his friend's arm, his eyes shining with tears. "I'm so scared..." and he was. He didn't like being scared. He didn't like this. But he was glad there were people he knew here, and... and he could help! "Don't let go of me, Oggie." he said, holding on tight, "Please..." If he let go he would be lost, back into the storm of people. He didn't want to be lost again. He didn't want to be back there again....
Ruelash Takes 11.5 damage! Ruelash Attacks Beast 2! Ruelash uses Downward Strike! Needs 20 to hit: 19+9=28= HIT 18+9=27/2=13.5 +3 from downward Strike = 16.5 Damage Dealt to Beast 2!
Ruelash was in his happy place. He was practically giggling in this mire of blood and violence and death. Despite having taken some injuries over the course of his duels, he felt good. No. He felt amazing. It was such a rush to be here, just a rush. He loved how it felt, the danger, the sharp smells on the air, the screams, the way his blades sliced so cleanly and neatly... He loved it out here. He was almost disappointed when the footsoldiers made way for the great big monsters, but, then again, he hadn't been taking trophies from his human kills. These looked like they could provide worthy trophies. And fun.
He raised an arm to shield his face from the rock shards, snarling as he felt his flesh tear. He was badly injured by the ferocious creature, but, despite his pain (or perhaps because of it) he was grinning.
"Nice hit!" He barked out, his voice wild and laughing, before all words dissolved into a shriek as he leapt at the beast, plunging his blades into it's side like the fangs of some creature. He disengaged with a whoop of exhileration, his feet meeting the ground, ready to dodge if need be.
He wanted to need it. He wanted a good fight. "Come at me, ya fat armored lug." he growled, ignoring all else around him.
Kadriye takes 12 damage ! sad attempts to use fire lvl1 one on Beast 3 Rolled: 10 (+6) = 16= MISS (Needs 18+ to hit)
Too fast , it was all happening too fast. Kadriye had lost sight of those she was trying to stay closest to and somehow found herself far too close to ... monstrosities being used as beasts of war.
Qi squealed and clung to the young alkidike woman as she attempted to to send a lash of fire at a target she couldn't possibly miss.
Miss, Kadriye did however as her target managed to sweep her aside with flying debris before she could finish the spell. She tumbled to the ground and managed to roll back onto her feet without losing hold of or breaking her weapon. Still her body ached and she didn't feel quiet steady on her feet. Another hit like that and she might not live to see Aisha again.
A chilling thought that served only to double the mystics resolve. Kadriye would not fail her people.
Attacking beast 3: 14+ 7 = 21 ( 18 + needed for hit ) = HIT 16 + 7= 23/2= 11.5 11.5 damage done to beast 3
No, absolutely not! These things, whatever they were would not be allowed to turn the tides in this battle. Tahira growled and tightened her grip on her blades. The remained Oban soldiers could wait, these titans and their riders would have to be brought down first. Perhaps the archers could snipe the riders?
There was little time for more thought as the beasts attacked and while many remained steady despite the ground shaking others were injured and brought down by the rocks and hunks of dirt that flew out at them. Amongst them was Kadriye, the tribe's youngest mystic and someday successor to Eshe. Tahira was somewhat learning the most basics of magic from her, as a. alkidike/wind tribe hybrid she had the talent in her but not their were few teachers amongst her people. She would fight like a traditional Alkidike warrior for now but someday she hoped to mix blade with magic and claim both her heritages.
Careful of the now somewhat broken terrain Tahira weaved her way through the crowd and slashed as deeply as she could into the armored hide of one of the beasts.
Sauron's jaw slacked a bit, looking at the odd, colossal beasts. Three of them. Three of them threatening his people, his way of life and his Kelina. His wonderful Kelina who would risk her fool neck to save his sorry butt. Well darned if he wasn't going to try and protect her. He snarled and dug his feet into the ground, he raced up the the third beast and stabbed his spear in, before jerking it out and scuttling away. First blood to him. He would not make it easy on these beasts.
