With several bodies swimming in different direction it became a bit harder for Del to click as she pictures became fuzzy.Seven she thought I need seven more orbs. Remembering the st. patricks day hunt she began clicking directly at the walls grinning as she recived the picture of a pair orbs lined up to conveniently form a corner. they hadn't been there last time she'd clicked and she wondered if all the moving water moved the lighter orbs.swimming towards them she reached foreward to grasp her prizes

Orpheus looked over at Laial, "Ten orbs and you pass. Once everyone has their ten you can go back for more for the prizes since we have a rather small class this time around. Only if you want to though." He said, for anyone that was up and above the surface and could hear him.

Hmmm...so you need ten orbs to pass? "But I thought it was a competition..." he voiced out loud. After that, the whole excersise seemed close to pointless. What was the point of racing to be first if it wasn't a competition?
His drive completely destroyed, Laial lifted himself up so that his shell was on the floor, but he could still dangle his feet in the water. He did just that has he tried to think if he should even continue this. He definetly wouldn't push himself so hard if he resumed searching.

Chath managed to find two more baubles that were on the cusp of rolling into the deep end. He snatched up the first but the force of the water he pushed caused the second to tetter and then roll down the slope. In a state of mild panic he thrust his tail with such force he suddenly found himself shooting forward. Surprised he did a summer sault in the water to slow himself down and ended up upside down now ahead of the rolling orb.
Holy cow! He never imagined he could get such speed by using his tail. Kicking a bit he lowered himself closer to the pool bottom so catch the rolling bauble in his hand. He had three orbs and now two in his hands... that made...he knew he would have to count on his fingers but his hands were full for the moment. With a smile he thrust his tail again to shoot up towards the surface. Such SPEED he had never gone this fast in water before. Breaking the surfaced he used his arm to shove his wet hair out of his face and then using his tail to push himself towards the edge of the pool were the rest of his baubles lay he placed them down.
What was this? DId he just hear from the instructor that they needed ten orbs to pass? He didn't realize this was a test!! He quickly counted on his fingers the amount of orbs he had. Five. Five all together, that meant he needed....he counted on his other hand. Five more. He gave a bit of a sigh. Were there that many left? He looked back into the water but the reflection of the lights made it impossible to tell. Everyone was in the deep end...he looked to the shallow end adn gave a shrug. Perhaps he could scavanged what may of been forgotten there.
Diving under water he positioned himself close to the bottom of the pool and used his fingers to lightly search the pool floor while he used his suddenly useful tail to propell him forward.
(new skilled learned? ^_^)

His eyes narrowed on the last one, for some reason he'd missed something so plainly in the open... Or perhaps it rolled out there with all the commotion in the water. Either way, that didn't matter to him as another circle and swoop allowed the snatching of his last. Soon he was breaking the surface, last two orbs in either hand. "Got em!" he shouted, grinning a wide toothy grin, slowly moving to the edge to place the last two with the dragon.
Task completed and compitition officially whooped, he hoisted himself out of the water letting out a tiny grunt as gravity returned it's cruel hold on his body. "What, give up so soon tailless?" he mocked, raising a brow at the nautilus boy setting on the edge... Tsh. Giving up, how lame... Atleast that reddish boy had stuck through til the end. Heck he was even going pretty fast... Atleast Simon thought that had been him he'd seen.

Chath managed to find some orbs hugging the edge of the pool corners in the shallow end. Since it was awkward to paddle in such depths he used his tail to propel him forward. This was neat. He didn't even have to use his arms or feet to move forward. Snatching not one, but 3 baubles he found clustered around the steps of the pool he returned to his ledge and placed them down. He noticed Jekel had risen from the water and seemed to have completed his task. And Laial was also out of the water. Did he finish as well? He looked around and found Del was still submerged and didn't feel quite so bad about not being the only one left in the water. BUt he better hurry up.
Now that Jekel had left the deep end he felt more brave about venturing over there, but then again would there be any baubles there? He observed Jekel's dragon serpent still hording the collection ofbaubles Jekel had aquired.
"Hmph.." was his only word as he dived into the waterand headed for teh deep in. Pushing forward with his tail he figured that keeping his limbs close tohis body madehim slide easier in the water. The baubles tended to hide in the corners so he thought he would search there first. He had counted eight baubles all togather that he had...so that left....two! Yesonly two more to find.

Simons tail shifted, scraping across the harder surface outside the pool as though it had been offended by the comment more than it's wearer. He gave the tailless boy a cold stare, accompanied by a large fangy grin... Almost in a threatning mannor, or as to say 'have you ever seen a goldfish with these?'
As the insults went, non verbal communication worked well for him. "If I remember correctly, I challenged you at the start of this. That makes it a compitition."
Simon raised a brow at the second comment... Vaugly wondering where the hell he even got the idea that he wore makeup. Either way, he wouldn't let a insult go unreturned... Even if it was lame. "Makeup? Have you looked in the mirror lately?" he gave a gesture to the boys colorful shell, pushing himself to a stand. He strolled over to the boy, placing a hard knock to the plate on Laial's head when he reached him. "You're covered in pink."

Chath felt a bit uncomfertable feeling the tension in the air rise between Simon and Laial, he was trying his best to ignore it and thus dived back into the water quickly. He hoped they wouldn't fight...what was the point? Weren't they suppose to be making friends?
Scowering the bottom of the pool he spotted three balls and dashed towards them quickly. Scooping them up into his hands he looked to them happily and then realized he had one too many. He only needed two.
Rising to the surface he took a breath of air into his lungs and exhaled an looked around. STill tension. Somehow thinking this might be a good idea he swam towards Laial and held up his extra bauable towards the boy.
"here you can have this one if you want it." he said as he shook the offering towards the boy.

Chath felt the tension rise even more as Laial hissed at Simon and the taunts were thrown violently back and forth. He withdrew his offering feeling that if he kept his arm out much longer it might get bitten.
Blinking he wondered if he should interfere...but then again it wasn't really any of his business...but shouldn't the teacher be stopping this before it gets out of hand? It looked like either of them would break out into a fist fight any second.

"Coral my a**." Jekel snorted, chuckling lightly "Thats just another way of saying pink." He moved to circle behind the boy, giving another hard knock this time to the boys shell.
The brown comment rolled right off him. For one, brown wasn't a girly color. It was a manly color, and two... From Jekel's viewpoint he suddenlly had the upper hand. Any such feeble attempts to insult him were only seen as him winning even more.
"You're still a wimp. You backed down from a challenge. Hey! I guess thats where your tail is huh? Tucked between your legs, Pinky!" He laughed to enphisize his taunting. He would have kept circling, however Laial was at the edge of the pool... So instead he turned and half-circled the other way.
Lev blinked as the tension rose between his master and that other thing... The dragon paid it no mind though, Laial didn't seem very threatning to him at all... So why leave his precious shinies to go help?
Speaking of those.. The dragom perked a bit, digging out one of the chocolate filled ones while Simon was too distracted to scold him.

Instead of stepping into the fight that was about to happen Orpheus decided that first and formost were the other two that weren't trying to egg one another on, he moved into the water to fetch Del and Chath, thinking it best to move them out of the way before fists, teeth, and tentacles started to fly. After that... after that he would deal with the other two.
Orpheus went under the water, diving down to wrap an arm around the Dolphin girl then surfaces pulling them both out of the water and sat her on the side with the babbles she'd found thus far, "If you could wait here for just a moment. Looks like we might have a little situation." He said, motioning his head towards Laial and Jekel.
Then he looked over to Chath as he rose to his feet and motioned for him to go out of the water, over to where Del was as well.
With Del and Chath on the opposite side of the pool as the two combants Orpheus then moved into action.
