Once he had found the constant sound of Butch's snarling and rambling unbearable in contrast to the deadened silence that had reigned there before. Now it was almost soothing, the nearest thing to an emotional barometer her had. Right now the creature seemed excited, happy, enthused and it pleased him.
"Fantastic." he said brightly. "I look forward to it." he folded the coveralls with meticulous neatness and placed it in the supplies closet.
He flexed his shoulders and turned to move towards the door, dropping his expression immediately.
"Enjoy your movie."

She watched him go in silence, unwilling to leave until he was well out of view.
