"She is," Seb agreed, beaming. "She's the best. I don't know what I'd do without her."

Chane seemed a bit uneasy then. He'd never had any family that he knew of, but he didn't want to start complaining about that in front of a near total stranger. "It's getting cold..."

Seb looked up, shivering as the cold air blew past him, ruffling his hair. "Yeah, it is. Maybe I should go find Lily..."

"I should head back to the cave... It was nice to meet you," he turned to go up the path he'd come from, but immediately began limping heavily. Snow began falling, light at first.

Seb turned back to watch him go, frowning as he spotted the limp. "Are you alright?" he called after him.

"I'm as well as I'll ever be," he called back. "Go find your sister. There's a storm rolling in!" Then to himself he grumbled, "I should have known it..."

"No you're not.." Seb frowned and hurried after him. "Here, lean on me!"

Chane near stumbled into him. "Thanks," he said, even though he wished he didn't need it. "It's the weather, the cold always makes my old injuries sore... especially when there's a storm coming on..."

"That's kind of cool though, kind of like a super power!" Seb grinned at him, trying to make the situation a bit lighter.

"A super power?" he couldn't help but laugh. "Like an angeni? The domain of 'there's a storm coming'?"

"Yeah!" Seb grinned wider, bobbing his head up and down. "Exactly like that. The only thing you're missing is wings!" He glanced about them, wondering where Lily was. If there was a storm coming, should he go look for her?
"Where should we go?" he asked, turning his attention back to Chane. He needed to get him somewhere safe first. He couldn't leave him out here with that leg.

"Follow my tracks back into the woods," he said, gesturing in that direction. "I noticed a felled tree on the way out to the pasture. It's not much but it will provide enough shelter in a pinch..."

"Alright." Seb nodded and steered them in that direction. He was a strong horse himself, in prime shape. Chane leaning against him didn't bother him at all. The snow starting to fall heavier, however, did.
"We need to go faster... Your tracks are going to be snowed in soon. Can you go any faster?"

"I don't think so," he said, trying despite that. "It shouldn't be too far into the woods though... In fact, just ahead there. Do you see it?"
Sure enough off to the right side of the path there was a tree which had long ago been downed in a storm similar to the one brewing now. Over time other plant matter had fallen on top and there was a small opening beneath it. It was hard to tell from the path if it would accommodate one horse, never mind two.

Seb bit his lip. He could see what Chane was talking about, but it barely looked like enough room for the smaller stallion, let alone himself. The two of them? Impossible. He would just have to get Chane inside somehow and hurry to find Lily and their own shelter.
"It's not very big... But if we're careful, we can get you in there. I think."
