GUFF! The ladder strikes the chest of Cartwright and traps both himself and Rick in the corner, leaving them at Salem's mercy! Oh no! Cartwright can be seen kicking his legs about, like he is trying to escape his current predicament!

With the dastardly duo stuck in the corner, Salem stood at center mat and admired his handiwork for only a second, just long enough for him to let out a chilling howl at Cartwright while he struggled to get free. Thrusting a finger at the champion, the audience roared back at Salem before the lad's other hand thrust an index at the adjacent corner. Once again, the audience approved, Salem crossing his arms above his head to indicate his intent...
Like a bolt of lightning, Salem shot towards the corner neighboring the pinned pair, running up the turnbuckles like stairs before leaping backward, gaining impressive altitude while adjusting in mid-flight. Like an arrow, Salem soared towards Cart and Rick with a jaw-dropping Coast-to-Coast Missile Dropkick, the "Cris-Croft", aimed dead center for the ladder!

This Salem guy is like so rude and disrespectful! The swagtastic Cartwright would never do such a thing! He is a man who is a role model to the entire world!
The look on Cartwright and DJ Rick's faces is priceless as they panic to escape their predicament. Unfortunately for them, Salem is too fast and kicks the ladder right into Cartwright and Rick's stomachs! Cartwright flops over the ladder as the crowd goes wild!

As the titantron looped an instant replay of the dazzling drop kick, many in the stands were checking their phones and cameras to see how good of a shot they'd gotten at Salem's first Cris-Croft in an Evolution ring. The challenger, however, took little time to reflect on his highlight-worthy moment, instead aiming to outdo it by grabbing the loosed ladder and carrying it to the center of the ring.
Sweat was clinging to his brow, making Croft's shaggy bangs stick to his forehead in places while he huffed and heaved the ladder upright, bracing the legs with the brackets before stepping a foot onto the first rung. The fans immediately started chanting for the Terror From 'Nap Town, Salem squinting up at the set lights to see the belt above. With Cartwright and Rick momentarily disabled, the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling" started up the ladder, hoping to reclaim his beloved title before they could recover!

Cartwright laid on the mat, continuing to hold his stomach as he took the brunt of the blow. DJ Rick, on the other hand, was mildly shielded by Cartwright. That pesky DJ crawled towards Salem and stands up while Salem focuses on the title hanging above him. Rick tries to grab a hold of Salem's legs to yank him down!

Salem was midway up the ladder when he felt his ascent halted by something tugging at his pantlegs! Turning his attention downward, Croft caught notice of DJ Rick clutching his clothes in effort to keep Salem from climbing any further! The crowd cheered for the challenger, clapping their hands in time with one another to inspire him to fight, the M.W. Deuce flailing his legs to try kicking the man off!

Salem shakes away to release himself from Rick's grip, which he succeeds in doing by pushing Rick on to his arse! But there comes Cartwright, who begins to climb the other side of the ladder very slowly!

A weight is lifted off of Salem, and the crowd pops loudly for the challenger's successful attempt to send Rick back down to the mat! But the fans' enthusiasm soon turned to worry when Cartwright crawled over to the ladder, making his way up from the opposite end! Adrenaline and anxiety caused Salem's eyes to widen and nostrils to flare, the M.W. Deuce trying to dash up the remaining few rungs to reach the top before his opponent could gain more ground!

Uh-oh! Salem has reached the top! Cartwright looks just as worried as Salem did before he darted up the ladder! There's only one thing that Cartwright can do! He stretches his right arm upwards, trying to punch Salem in the gut to stop him reaching the title!

Salem was nearly there, feeling the leather in his fingertips, when a sudden swelling in his gut made the challenger cringe and hunch forward, seeing Cartwright nearing the top of the ladder through his pained expression. Clutching his gut with one hand, Croft strained to sit back up and reach with his free arm, hoping to reach the championship with a desperate grasp of his hand!

Oh no he doesn't! Cartwright continued to swagger up the ladder, meeting Salem at the top! Cartwright balances himself with his feet as he uses both hands to try and grab Salem's head and slam it on to the top of the ladder!

Fans were biting their nails as the two fighters were reaching a climactic frenzy for the belt, neither man letting up their efforts to achieve victory! Salem's fingers were wrapping around the strap as Cartwright rushed to the peak of the ladder, leaving Salem without much time to react. With the arm around his waist, Salem braced himself with a wrapped forearm against the ladder to try and halt the impact.
If Croft did anything well, it was think on his feet - or in this case, off, as the challenger would then kick his legs forward, trying to use his opponent's weight and leverage to knock the platform out from under them both while trying to cling onto the belt!

Wow this Salem guy psychically knew to protect his face against it being forced down into the top of the ladder! Impressive stuff! Suddenly, the ladder begins to tilt, so Cartwright clings on to Salem!

Salem succeeded in getting the ladder at a tipping point, the angle too much for either man to stand on any longer! But just as Croft thought he could cling to the belt and watch his opponent fall to the canvas, Cartwright wrapped up the lad's waist on the way down! It was excruciating, bearing the dead weight of a grown man by one painfully strained hand, but Salem fought on while the audience cheered, screamed from the stands! He was so close! If he could only reach up with his other hand and unfasten the snaps, he could end it all right here!

Rick got up slowly but steadily and would grab the gun again outside the ring and fire another T-Shirt right at Salem, "SWAGGGGGUUHHHHH" he houted as he fired trying to stop Salem's hopes of being Asylum Champion.
