Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

        From her perch Agnès could see as the mob began to rush the boy below. His friend, Victor, must have been farther away than she had accounted for. ‘No matter. He shouldn’t be in this business if he isn’t ready for pain.’ Agnès mused to herself as she stayed as a silent observer; lurking as a dark shadow above the alley-way. Her icy blue eyes watched with intent as the mob began to creep closer- she wondered if the boy would opt a deadly route or one which could aid the investigation into this game of life and death. As the mob of players approached it became increasingly clear the interworkings of this game were something very unusual. While the willowy woman sat several stories above the alley she could see strange auras floating about some of the members of the mob. “Now.. That is something interesting.” Agnès said to herself as she pulled her phone out from a small bag she carried. Within a couple of moments Agnès had zoomed the camera on her phone on members of the mob, recording the bizarre demonic aura that surrounded them. The aura seemed to swirl around player’s weapons or particular body parts that may have increased power due to the demons that possessed them. It was something that would be hard to tell at this point in time- but the beginning of a starting point on the mystery. From what could be seen of the aura on her phone it appeared to have multiple parts- perhaps just multiple forms of energy or something else. It would be nearly impossible to tell from the images on such a small screen.

        Agnès could hear the screams of pain as some members of the mob were able to close in on the tamer. Giving the noise only a glace over the shoulder to check he wasn’t being mortally wounded, as the screams he made were pretty terrible sounding. ‘Only a few bumps and bruises, boy…’ Agnès thought to herself, she had gotten what she needed. With a few more taps on the interactive screen the video was stopped as there was nothing else to be gained by continuing it. Just about the time the recording had stopped the boy began to speak out to the crowd. His words made it obvious he was tired of being someone else’s punching bag. The tamer released a fairly strong blast of qi towards his assailants- one the shone brightly of the boy’s golden aura.

        The aftermath resulted in five members of the large mob still standing, still awake. The majority? Not as lucky- many had their bodies thrown into the walls of buildings, the dirt of the street or into the trashcans and dumpsters that lined the street. Their bodies seemed like lifeless, bruised and bloody strewn down the alley. Agnès could sense the amount of qi signatures in the area drop significantly. The boy began to threaten the remaining “survivors” of the mob. Who, for now didn’t seem willing to cooperate with the boy; ‘Are they waiting on something or someone to come? To bail them out? They were chanting a name before they attacked… Versalius… The alleged game master of Pandemonium? He couldn’t be here now could he?’ Agnès wondered as she dialed a number. The call was swiftly answered, the operator a man who was responsible to sending agents and teams out alike to deal with problems.
        “ I need people to collect and debrief about sixty people. Most are currently unconscious, and fine physically- save a few cuts, bumps and bruises. There is reason to believe they are players of the ‘game’ Pandemonium. Send the teams to alleyways near Jarvis and Fantom.” Agnès spoke quickly and quietly, the operator began asking other questions- the kind of questions that made Agnès roll her eyes. “I don’t have time for the Vatican’s diplomatic crap. The situation is currently stable- no known casualties but if you’re going to keep me busy talking to you about it there might be, Rodger!” Agnès growled before hanging up, placing the phone back into her bag that hung by her side.

        Turning to peer back towards the young tamer and the conscious members of the mob Agnès could see the boy seemed to have picked up on something- looking up to skies. Towards her own, An’givare. ‘I suppose it is to be expected. The mass of qi auras have cleared, with the majority of the mob taken out..’ Agnès thought to herself as she observed the boy raising his arm before him. She couldn’t be sure what he was doing- while Agnès knew who the boy was she hadn’t yet read his dossier. Picking herself up from the roof top, Agnès began to scan the building An’givare had decided to leave her on. She began to move towards the side of the building that lined another nearby alley; from what she could tell this side of the building had fire escape she could use to safely reach the alleyway.

        An’givare continued his slow rounds in the night sky flicking his tongue out in the warm air, tasting for changes in scents. The large wyvern had seen the flashes of light, but knew from the tastes and scents that carried on the shallow breezes that even with all the commotion none of the humans in this petty conflict had perished. Instead, most were in a weakened state, from what he could tell some still stood. The beast decided against a dangerous dive to snag a body, deciding to keep his distance… for now.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias
Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor was watching as Ignazio addressed the crowd and handled them well although they were not cooperating. He looked to be calling someone who did not answer, perhaps back-up. Suddenly, the Exwire turned in his direction and called out to him. He had been spotted but Victor wasn't surprised, Ignazio was a virtuoso when it came to the ways of Qi. Victor had no intention to hide himself and with the action that was ensuing before him, there was no way he could just stay back and watch. Victor smirked at Ignazio and said "I came to look at what was going on. I had no idea you had stirred up this kind of trouble without me!" He noticed Ignazio pull apart the barrier in order to let him through. There were talismans of the east that he had used, a reliable stack of paper. Ignazio let Victor know that he didn't need the help and he was sure that he didn't but that wasn't going to discourage Victor from joining. He walked towards the edge of the building and could see a drainage pipe attached to the wall on the side of the building that led down to the clearing below. With a short hop, he left the rooftop of the three story building and took hold of the pipe with his left hand. Placing his left foot against the pipe as well, he rode it all the way down to the ground where he kicked off just before reaching the pavement. He landed in a slight jog headed towards Ignazio, dusting off his gloves. Ignazio had asked him to help out although it had to do with some thing else. Victor could see his comrade holding a card he used to summon his familiars. He didn't think he had seen it before but then again, he had only seen him use his familiars a handful of times and not so closely.

Before Victor knew it, the crowd had run out of patience and rushed Ignazio. Victor began to run towards him as an onslaught of ranged attacks came at him. That was Ignazio's backyard but nearly sixty adversaries at once made things a challenge. He could see his friend evading the attacks which came in different shapes and colors. They reeked of demon energy but took the form of many elements and abilities. The group seemed bent on targeting Ignazio and before Victor could reach him, he was overwhelmed and taken by a larger enemy, using physical weaponry. He was thrown about violently before ending up in a hole where Victor guessed had emerged from the ensuing battle. He knew that Ignazio would not let it be, he had a heavy hand and if Victor had been swifter, he might have taken one or two before Ignazio would wipe the floor with them. He stopped running once he saw the swirling Qi from Ignazio's body. The others didn't seem to notice since they thought he had been done with. Ignazio had proved more durable than looks would tell and what followed was a taste of his wrath, one that Victor had seen few times before. He watched as Ignazio channeled his Qi and weaponized it into a blast that best took advantage of the alleyway dimensions. With one fell swoop of the will, Ignazio threw away nearly all of the ones before him as if they were old toys to a toddler. They were out cold, that much was certain and just as Ignazio pointed out, it was because they were human. Victor appreciated his restraint and recognized that it was a clear indication of how serious he took his mission and occupation.

Looking over the scattered people, he could sense that they had lost much of the power they were just using, as if they were mere vessels and their puppet master had pulled away his strings. Taking one of them alive for later questioning was a good idea but Ignazio seemed to have other plans as he attempted to finish the rest with one of his familiars like he was trying to do earlier. "Come on, Champ. You can't invite someone to a party and drink up all the booze." Victor said as he walked up beside his battle scarred friend. "The least you could do is let me have the rest." Victor said with his smirk as he looked from Ignazio to the remaining five with his hand in his pockets.

Ignazio looked at Victor and smirked before looking back up at the sky. ”That’s fine, but it seems we have something else lurking in the shadows of the night sky. You deal with them, and if you wouldn’t mind tying them up, I’ll deal with that demon.” Ignazio said calmly before holding the card into the sky. A large glyph appeared underneath Ignazio as it seemed to be different than usual, the glyph didn’t catch a blaze and there was no change in wind. This time it was different. An icy white fog came from the glyph and slowly clinched hold of the ground as the area grew colder, until Ignazio’s voice began to flow with the moving ice. ”Five perfections for each repletion, and now let the filled sigils be annihilated in my stead!” As the voice continued to grow in pitch and volume, the energy around Ignazio’s tarot card began to grow tremendously as the wind began to pick up and the fog swirled around the tamer’s body until it completed covered him until he was no longer visible, yet the young male’s voice was still present as the norito had yet to be completed. ”Conquer all for your King! Come forth and reign over the frosted heavens! Hyorinmaru!” the young tamer yelled at the top of his lungs.

Soon the power reached its peak and burst outwards as the fog around Ignazio’s body had transformed into two very large wings and soon the icy black body appeared as the fog finally finished forming the creature. Soon the massive wings stretched outward revealing the Wyrm. ”Hyorinmaru, I need a favor. There’s someone in this area that’s either summoned another one of your kind, or it came here on its own free will. I need you to distract it or kill it or force it back to Gehenna while I locate its master if there is one. I’ll award you handsomely for this.” Ignazio said with a commanding low voice. The dragon’s wings flapped once and then once again before it released a roar and in a deep and demonic voice that was almost as cold as the ice that was growing under its feet it replied. ”You’ve gotten yourself beaten up pretty well. I don’t remember accepting you for a master that got himself injured so simply.” The dragon’s voice circled through the area as it spoke down to Ignazio looking at him from its towering head as it leaned its head down and towards Ignazio’s own head.

The tamer didn’t look at the dragon, he was too busy scanning the area. ”That’s beside the point, either you’re going to do what you’re told, or I’ll send you back and ask someone else to do the job that you couldn’t” The dragon began to laugh after Ignazio’s comment and began to flap its mighty wings once more as took flight into a mid-hover, as its feet left the ground the ice shattered from underneath it leaving behind a sheet of ice only underneath his summoner where the magic circle once stood for the summons of such a large being. The alleyway was just barely larger enough for the dragon’s wings to not touch the surrounding buildings. ”No need for that, I’ll take care of it. It is one of my kind right?” the beast said sarcastically before taking complete flight and moving into the sky, flying through the clouds and towards the highline where the clearing of the clouds met the moon.

”He’s still a stubborn beast. Now, let’s find your master.” Ignazio muttered as he started to limp towards the end of the alley. ”When you’re done come find me, alright Victor?”

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias
Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor looked up at the sky, following Ignazio's gaze. It seemed that he had caught wind of another adversary in the area. After a moment or two, he could feel the Qi of a demon rounding the skies like a plane locked in standby. Ignazio had agreed to leave the rest to Victor after all which satisfied him greatly. It was asked that he take them captive but Victor figured he could leave one just for that. He looked back at Ignazio who began to call forth one of his Familiars, telling by the formation of his Qi into the glyph underneath him. The other instances, it had been quite flashy but this time it seemed to draw on until an icy chill formed as a mist that began to appear around them. Ignazio then began to chant the summoning. Victor looked around at the mist, as it began to hide the bodies of the unconscious player and the nervous remaining five who were unsure about what was about to happen. They wanted to avenge their fallen alike many video games and figured Ignazio was vulnerable at a time like that but didn't know who to go after with Victor's arrival. They began to plot amongst themselves on a plan to defeat the two Exwires but Ignazio's voice seemed to thunder in the area and echo in the alley. Suddenly, a great dragon appeared out of the mist, wings open and strong. It would be safe to deduce that Hyorinmaru had an affinity for ice and that Ignazio had perhaps a new addition to his repertoire. While Ignazio and Hyorinmaru began to talk, Victor could see the five players begin to move. One had a large broadsword, another seemed to wield an assault rifle. The other three, Victor guessed to have control over familiars or were elementals. When Ignazio was done, he asked Victor to seek him out after wards. Victor was still eying the other five when he responded. “You got it.” He said a bit more seriously. Victor began to walk towards the five when they began to try and surround him. The one with the broadsword charged him and at the same time, the female to his right began to charge a Qi attack. Victor took half a second to look over his incoming enemy to find the upcoming attack and succeeded. The burly looking swordsman cocked his sword to his right with both hands as he converged on Victor and began his swing which began to come horizontally. Victor quickly stepped inside of his swing but closer than usual and took hold of the man's two hands which also wielded the sword. With a pull to the man's right, it instinctively forced him to push in the opposite direction in which Victor took advantage of, suddenly following along the same direction as the man but twisting his hand downwards. The swordsman looked surprised as he was flipped over sideways as Victor held the man's hands. As he did, the female to the right had finished her preparation and shot something alike a bolt of lightning at Victor who shifted the sword against the bolt, holding it vertically. The bolt seemingly channeled through the blade into the swordsman's hands, electrocuting him violently until he had fainted. Unseen, the one with the rifle had taken cover behind a parked car and laid down prone to try and take a shot at him but waited for a clear opportunity. Surprised, the girl with control over lightning began to fire small bursts of electricity but Victor quickly took up the sword and threw it at her, tip first. The bursts of lightning were seemingly attracted to the blade which traveled towards the girl. Seeing Victor's throw, she easily ducked away from the sword but found Victor running up to her just as she recovered. He delivered an upwards right kicked to her head and followed with a middle, low and high side right kicks which he finished with a backwards spinning right kick that landed his heel between her bottom jaw and top jaw at the joint. There was a crack and the girl dropped backwards like a falling tree. Suddenly, something caught Victor's eye in his right peripheral vision. He looked behind him quickly and saw something along the ground dart around and behind him again. Before he could turn, someone had taken him by the neck in a rear naked choke. Serpents seemed to slither out from withing the sewers and the walls and came up to Victor who had by then dug his left elbow into the boy and flipped him over his shoulder to the ground. Crushing his windpipe with his right foot, Victor noticed the snakes and began to move in the opposite direction. They filled the street and flooded the walkways. He jumped up onto a car from the hood and leaped up to grab a retracted fire escape ladder just in time before a pile of serpents had taken hold of his leg. Meanwhile, a red dot scope tried to follow Victor through his movement up the fire escape which was now being populated by serpents who had piled up high enough to reach the ladder. Once he reached the top of the stair case, he looked around the alleyway. He scanned the windows and doors for the one behind the creatures. Time was short as the serpents quickly slithered up the railing and frame of the stair case. Looking around he noticed one window with a curtain slightly parted but dark within the room. Victor closed his eyes for a moment and reached out to that window on the far end of the alley. A Qi signature alike the signature of the serpents was found. The rifleman had fond his clear shot and took it just as Victor began to run down the edge of the roof. The bullet hit the railing at the top of the staircase that Victor had just been in. He instinctively ducked his head at the sound of the gunshot but kept running. The rifle man cursed aloud and figured that he had lost his element of surprise so he began to fire at Victor's location which was close to two hundred fifty meters. Victor dove behind the wall that made up the edge of the rooftop and ran down to the corner of the roof keeping low as to avoid fire. Once he reached the corner, he peeked over the edge to find the shooter firing just a few suppressive shots from the darkness under a parked car in the alley way, telling by the muzzle flash. After just five shots, the rifle man picked up and began to run to another location just behind a dumpster close to twelve feet away from the car. Victor then looked back over to the window with the tamer and saw that he might be close enough to reach now. He got back into cover and placing his back on the wall, he saw the dark floor on the way to the fire escape moving and turning over itself on it's way to Victor. The serpents had no trouble tracking him down and were closing distance. Victor thought quickly, or more so acted than thought. He stood up and ran towards the serpents before turning around and running back to the wall he was by. With Victor running at full speed, the rifleman leaned out of cover and spotted him just as he reached the edge. Victor hopped up to the wall, planting both feet right at the edge and springing up and forwards at the next building just across. Bullets came whizzing by him as he turned in the air in a somersault of sorts. Reaching the window, Victor kicked out both feet, crashing into the second story of the building, feet first. The rifleman watched the window through his sight and waited for Victor to re emerge and in a moment, there was movement at the window. A youngster wearing a hoodie and jeans came through the window, soaring for the ground and riding him was Victor. He landed atop him with his shoulder which surely cracked a number of the tamer's ribs and took his air from him. Victor then quickly rolled off his body and lifted him up. He wasn't touching the ground and was unconscious in Victor's grip as he was moved forward as a human shield, making their way to the rifleman. The boy with the assault rifle was shaking and it was affecting his shot accuracy now but wasn't taking any shots. As Victor approached, the rifleman stepped out of cover, still pointing his barrel at Victor but didn't take a shot, surely in fear of hitting his comrade. The boy began to shuffle backwards as Victor reached him who he then threw the unconscious tamer at him. As the rifleman stumbled from the hit, Victor stepped up and took hold of the barrel with his right hand before it could come up and with his left hand chopped at his neck before twisting the rifle towards the boy, forcing him to let go while giving Victor full control of the weapon which he now pointed. The boy put his hands and swore that he would be avenged and mentioned some Versalius and his awesome power. Victor didn't really listen too much before whipping him with the stock of the assault rifle, turning the boy over as he fell to the ground, grinning. Victor then dismantled the rifle in a range of four to six seconds, separating the top from the bottom and it's bolt carrier which he then threw in the dumpster on his way back to find Ignazio.

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

        It wasn’t long before the access point of the emergency exit was located. Agnès only had a brief moment to ascertain its condition- the access to the stairs was from the second floor. While she stood on the roof which was three stories high, there was an additional entrance to the inside of the building some distance away. ‘It is always something isn’t it? I don’t want to cause additional commotion- breaking into the building and hoping its empty is probably one of the better solutions. I don’t really want to jump down a story just to find an old rusted emergency exit’ Agnès thought to herself as she began to evaluate her options. A thunderous roar interrupted her thoughts; it was unmistakably the voice of a dragon. ‘So.. The rumors are true. You have managed to summon and tame another dangerous creature. Ignazio.’ Agnès thought to herself, she could feel the air begin to chill from the creature’s presence. In truth, she wasn’t terribly fair from the beast and its master. “A Wyrm…? Very Interesting.” She said softly to herself.

        Agnès approached the solemn concrete box that stood alone on the roof; the metal door on it was heavily rusted. It was almost surprising the city had yet to demolish such a decrepit building. The door opened without much force required. Inside Agnès ran down the spiraling stairway to find her best option to the alley-way.

        An’givare heard the wyrm’s roar, unmistakably the sound of another lesser dragon- a cousin of his own kind. A low guttural growl emitted from the iridescent wyvern’s gullet. He was well aware of the happenings of the streets and alleys below him- scents of human scum doing things that could be counted as evil by others. The smells of sweat and blood and other fluids were pungent in the warm night air. Despite the tantalizing scents there wasn’t a reason to suggest another creature such as himself was near. The iridescent wyvern launched himself higher into the skyline with a few graceful flaps of his wings. The beast flew towards the top of clouds as if to reach for the moon. He needed to get a better view to see this adversary.

        It wasn’t long before An’givare was able to see the other dragon- a beast whose body appeared almost as pitch black as the night sky around them. This bony adversary didn’t look to be one that would prove easy to assault. As the wyrm drew closer An’givare released another guttural growl; a warning to the black beast.

        The iridescent wyvern however didn’t stay long to converse with the other; knowing beasts weren’t summoned to say “hello”. An’givare instead diving down towards the human city below; leaving the wyrm to the dust of the clouds and the harmony of the moons light. An’givare knew if he were to have to fight the other beast it was in his favor to use his prowess in the skies to his advantage. If he couldn’t fly faster than the other- then he could certainly make sharp turns and obscure shifts in altitude faster than his opponent.

The mighty wings flapped hard and then harder as he increased altitude until reaching the other dragon. Hyorinmaru listened to his ‘cousin’ hiss and he replied back with his own hissing before watching the sky dragon dive down for the city. ”Hey brat, I know you can hear me and see what I see, so I’m going to chase him now. He doesn’t seem like much of a challenge though. Calling me out here for this is going to cost you quite a bit of gold.” the dragon hissed before laughing. The large wings extended outwards as the wind caught them allowing the dragon to flow over the clouds creating an aerial backwards flip before both wings hugged tight against the beast’s scales before the dragon began spinning rapidly allowing him to catch up with the other dragon. ”He’s fast. This is going to be fun.” Hyorinmaru roared as his wings opened wide and he began to glide over the rooftops; he began twisting and turning between buildings, mimicking each of the other dragon’s movements.

The ice dragon’s fangs gave off a slight shine as lights reflected off of them as he was ‘grinning’, although at the lengths he was going to catch the dragon, he wasn’t attempting to hide himself and being dragons the humans would be able to see everything as if they were affected by a spirit wound from any ordinary demon. Hyorinmaru’s wings flapped hard and stayed true as he began to snap at the other dragon’s tail only to let him be aware of how swiftly the beast caught up to him. ”Come on now, let’s have a chase. You’re making this far too easy” the dragon barked before flapping his wings backwards causing him to fall back as he exposed his chest allowing a bright blue light to fill up before opening his mouth and exhaling a chilling gust of ice and snow towards the back of the other beast. The breath would surly freeze anything and everything it touched but the beast was counting on the other dragon to dodge if not provide some type of spectacular display of aerobatics within the clouds.

After finishing his freezing breath Hyorinmaru was back on his chase, his wings flapping hard once again. The powerful large dark wings caused bikes below to fall over and people who had been peacefully walking outside to be knocked over by the sheer force of the wind. ”Another question Master, are you planning on taming this one? I’m not helping you capture another breed of Dragon. I’m very territorial.” Hyorinmaru argued as he was already in pursuit and didn’t want to back off due to having a greedy master.

Ignazio had a single eye closed as he watched everything Hyorinmaru was seeing; the young tamer continued to walk, well more so limp than walk, but continued moving forward down the alleyways and then stopped as he heard the shattering of windows and grunts coming from behind him. He sighed and shook his head slowly. ”That brute still doesn’t understand the meaning of the word control; I swear all muscle and no brain sometimes.” Ignazio grumbled as he continued to move forward down the dark alleyways looking around for the unique Qi signature that would match the dragons, if he didn’t find any he knew the dragon was alone, but then again, some tamers knew to keep themselves hidden if they were to survive a battle if while their familiars fought, so maybe this one was just as smart as an exorcist. Ignazio stopped moving and closed both of his eyes as he heard the words of the dragon entering his mind which brought a smile to his face. Ignazio opened his left eye only and looked up to the sky as he watched the clouds move and burst with the dragons exiting through. ”Keep your damage to a minimum Hyorinmaru, also try and avoid being seen by any humans, I don’t want to have to explain why I summoned you to my father or any other senior exorcist later.”

The young tamer continued onward as he walked until he saw Victor and made his way over to the dumpster where he was getting off of. ”Well I guess it was a good thing you were in the neighborhood. I took on a mission that I figured would have just been information gathering and it turned into a little more than that. I found a lot of dead bodies, scientist or pharmacist by the looks of it in a building not too far from here actually, but the strange thing is all the moisture in their bodies was gone, no wounds, just beef jerky humans. Another strange thing was the pipes were also super dry. That’s when I found those guys battling it out, and now we have a dragon on the loose in the city, so the job is to take out the dragon before continuing on with the mission. This would have been easier if our lazy drunk piece of s**t of a headmaster would actually answer his phone and do his job as an Arc Knight. I mean I could have called my father but I figured, why not play this by the book this time.” Ignazio ranted as he leaned against the wall and started to catch his breath. His right eye still sealed shut as he watched as his familiar toyed around and released its frozen kiss upon the skies. Suddenly Ignazio began talking to the familiar as if he was standing right next to him. ”Hyroinmaru, I don’t remember giving you permission to release your power like that. The point of this is to capture that flying lizard, and rid him from Assiah. I promised you the skies, and he’s in your territory, bring him here, NOW!”

Soon the other eye closed for a second as Ignazio calmed his nerves and soon both eyes opened as he severed his sense sharing with his familiar to focus on finding the master of the other dragon; that is if there was another master. One couldn’t be too sure with these random attacks and humans gaining ‘magic’ overnight through a computer program. Ignazio reached his left hand into his crimson shorts pocket and pulled out his cellphone and pulled up the file of the mission given by the police. Ignazio held the phone out towards Victor and allowed the holographic projector to bring up the different files and images of the dead players that were found as well as the images Ignazio took while he was in the strange building. ”How much do you know about Pandemonium? Oh yeah, welcome back.” Ignazio asked before remembering he hadn’t seen Victor since break started, not to long before that he watched Victor destroy a Hydra with his bare hands, it wasn’t something he wanted to be on the receiving end of, but Ignazio did fear the man a little before obtaining Hyorinmaru.

┗ Titus Fulbright ┓
► Son of Satan ◄
Exwire || Knight || Berserker || Kurthnaga ||

╔══════════════════════╗

[ENTER]

The silver haired student jogged down the street, feeling a little pressured. He really didn't want to clean the dorm bathrooms for the rest of the month, and the thought of sleeping outside didn't sound very appealing either. Just thinking about the consequences of missing curfew made Titus jog a little faster. However, he wasn't jogging for long, and made a hard stop in front of a wondrous shop, or stall to be exact.

A traditional, Japanese ramen stall, sitting there in Downtown True Cross Town. Titus' hadn't ever seen one before, in all sixteen years of his life. In fact, the only ramen he ever ate was out of a Styrofoam cup. Smiling, the boy lifted the tarp, and saw an elderly man and his middle-aged assistant, chatting. Red paper lamps, pictures of ramen bowls, and a wooden bar decorated the stall, and something about it made Titus feel.. At home and relaxed. "Uhm...Can I have.. A M-Miso Ramen please?" The boy had always wanted to order his ramen in a stall, and truthfully, the experience was overwhelming him.

While waiting, his smile disappeared. There were a number of presences in the area, making the boy a little unsettled. He fiddled with his fingers as he felt the presences get stronger, and had the urge to look outside. "Your ramen is ready, sir. The half breed looked up at the old man handing him the bowl, and thanked him before taking his first bite. His eyes widened in shock, and that led him to taking another bite. Almost like a domino effect, he couldn't stop himself from eating the noodles and perfectly cooked beef. There were just enough vegetables in the soup as well, making it a more balanced meal than one would expect from mere ramen. The boy was no food critic, but he could tell that the chef that cooked his first bowl of ramen was pretty damn good at his job.

After paying the man, Titus' stretched a little, before beginning his walk back to the dorm. The presences were still floating around, but he paid no attention to it. That was until a loud, roar-like noise made the boy jump as he turned his attention to the night sky. What he saw in that moment was something truly shocking, to him at least. "A...Dragon? What? Am I..." The boy took a second to rethink what he saw, and rubbed his eyes. The boy looked up again to see that the dragon was real, flying around the city. Titus sighed as he scratched the back of his head and walked in the direction of where the dragon was going. Apparently it was bickering with someone or something in the area; Most likely another Dragon. It didn't really make sense to him, why two dragons were in the area, flying around like it was the thing to do. It made him...Curious.

As he gave chase to the dragon, he reached a thin alleyway. A dead end. Looking up, he could see that it would be possible to reach the roof via an escape ladder. A smirk appeared on his face, as he climbed with haste. Reaching the top, he could see two dragons, circling the city. It was so surprising to him that he laughed. "Not one person has noticed these two flying around? Oh well...Its not like I'll get ta see a dragon everyday." The young man took a seat on the edge of the building, swinging his legs as if he were on the swing at a park. "Let's see what happens next..."

An’givare

Wyvern || Kin of Anyanka || B-Class

        Despite the head start it would be only a few moments before the bony wyrm had been able to catch up to his agile cousin. The two were hurling down alleyways and over roof tops, gliding and twisting and turning through the man-made labyrinth. Although the wyrm had some surprising speed and agility to him; it hadn’t been long before the wyrm’s icy jaws were nipping at An’givare’s tail. The beast seemed to mock him in their native tongue, a thunderous roar as onlookers might have been concerned. But it was true; wyverns were the typically more agile form of dragon… However, this chase did only just began. Did this icy slave really believe he could keep up forever? ‘We’ll see about that… Cousin.’ An’givare thought to himself as he peered over his shoulder a moment. The wyrm had begun to charge an attack, the wyrm’s chest glowing a bright blue- making his breed even more obvious if it wasn’t previously. An’givare’s wings drew close to his body as he rapidly dropped in altitude- to the point he was flying just above the streets themselves. An’givare wasn’t about to catch the wyrm’s icy kiss of death.

        The iridescent wyvern’s wings once flung out from his sides, beating at a more rapid pace than before. But the large iridescent beast flew low- nearly touching the ground below. The wyvern was mostly unaware as some shocked onlookers peered out a window or drunkenly walked into the alley- only to be met with the sight of two mythical creatures charging down alley ways, around streets and over builds. The sight was something unusual to be sure, something some poor exorcist would be tasked in fixing.

        An’givare began to make more rapid turns onto the alley ways, as well as rapidly altering his altitude to scale over fairly large buildings just to see how long the wyrm could keep up. The wyvern however, hadn’t forgotten the icy greeting he had been on the receiving end of- and something he began to seek a means of returning. As An’givare neared another rapid turn which lead on to one of the longer alley ways, or perhaps it was a street, he realized he could soon get an opportunity. The iridescent wyvern shot around the corner once more with great momentum, the wyvern counted on the wyrm wanting to match his pace. However, the attack wouldn’t come without warning to the icy beast as the wyvern’s upper back began to glow its cool icy blue. Shortly after the iridescent dragon would seemed to rapidly shoot up to the sky- making a graceful summersault to place the wyvern not far above where he expected the wyrm to be. The wyvern opened his massive jaw to release the hail of thunder- an attack that could leave the icy beast crashing down onto the street below. An’givare’s attack could leave the wyrm with few options, and likely a path of destruction, assuming the wyvern hadn’t miscalculated.. A dangerous mistake if there was any. One that could quickly leave him a loser in this fight.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias
Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor saw Ignazio coming closer from somewhere in the alley and noticed his limp. He had been slightly hurt but looked to have taken the beating well. There was perhaps a small sprain that had him limping but Victor hoped it wasn't more than that. He knew that they were both versed in the art of healing by Qi, so he left it alone. When Ignazio reached him by the dumpster, he expressed his gratefulness for the help. Victor wouldn't have called it help anymore than passing the time. He knew Ignazio was well prepared and fit to extend his Qi to dispatch the remaining few of enemies. Ignazio then went on to tell Victor of what he had found in a building nearby. By the sound of the victims, it sounded like he was talking about the pharmaceutical research laboratory just a few blocks down. They were victims of some demon, drained of their body fluids leaving behind dried bodies. Although Victor knew of several demons that drained humans of their blood, Ignazio had mentioned that there were no wounds on their body, which eliminated many candidates. Maybe he missed something. If not, it would have had to be an inside job. A parasite or worm of some sort. Ignazio spoke of pipes being dry as well. Victor assumed that he meant the building's water supply which made Victor suspicious of there even being a connection between the two instances. He was informed that the search eventually led to the discovery of the battle where Victor had come in. Victor nodded at the chain of events, listening to his classmate as he spoke of a dragon. Victor's eyebrows rose at the word as if in disbelief. “A dragon?” Victor said. Ignazio apparently wanted to take him out before continuing with the mission.
Victor had never been up against a dragon himself but had faced similar beasts before. With Ignazio's familiars, Victor figured they had substantial manpower but dragon's were prideful creatures and would fight to the death by any means. Ignazio had called the headmaster, Tavion, but to no avail. He was willing to express his distaste of their headmaster but at a moment like this, Victor couldn't help but agree. Ignazio was alone, and needed back-up now that the mission had evolved to an engagement. Victor looked up at the sky and realized that the Qi signature he had sensed before must have belonged to the stranger dragon but for it to be circling the area and not attacking made Victor curious. “How sure are you that it's not friendly? It hasn't made contact yet and might be doing reconnaissance for one of ours.” Victor asked Ignazio. His comrade, however seemed confident in his own familiar and trusted that he was competent enough to bring back the opposing dragon as he communicated through tamer telepathy. After a moment, Ignazio regrouped himself with a sigh and pulled out his phone. He took it from Ignazio as it was held out to him and began to read through the projections provided. It was the mission file from the police department which provided more information than the news did. He smirked and glanced at Ignazio as he asked Victor what he knew just as he welcomed him back. “I know that these assailants don't age over their twenties and that they believe that there are in some video game. Also, that they are being possessed express over the web as these innocents are being are being drawn in with a pitch about power.” Victor looked away from the projections and back to Ignazio in order to hand him his phone. “One-click superheroes.” He said seriously. Although it seems that they can't recall how to reach the website which might mean that they aren't being indiscriminately picked and that they might have something in common. Victor thought, looked past Ignazio into the darkness. He looked back to Ignazio as he spoke. “Are you sure you wan to engage this dragon? You could still complete your mission by taking some of these knuckleheads into custody and reporting our findings. I mean, they could have reinforcements, factions or whatever they call them. We could regroup and continue our investigation on the leads we have now.” Victor then crossed his arms and shrugged. “It's your call, though. I'll back you up where you need it. We can't split up now seeing as we are dealing with a large force, not to mention scales.” Victor said referring to the dragon.

Listening to Victor speak Ignazio closed his eyes and started to view Hyorinmaru’s sight once again, but as soon as he heard Victor’s comment on how the dragon could be friendly Ignazio scoffed at him before opening both his eyes. ”When are you, going to wake up and stop acting so naïve, you’re almost as bad as that headmaster of ours.” he snapped before placing his phone away and crossing his arms over his chest before letting out a sigh. ”But let’s play devil’s advocate for a second. If it was friendly why would continue to circle an area that just so happens to be where a group of players from Pandemonium so happened to be brawling. Next if it was one of ours as in from True Cross, someone higher up would have called my phone or had appeared to call me off of attacking their familiar. Unless they’re a cruel master, and if that’s the case they deserve to lose their familiar.” the young tamer groaned as he spoke before looking around slowly as if he was looking for someone in the shadows.

Upon stopping his pretend search a light chuckle came from the back of his throat before he began to laugh almost hysterically. After he finished his laugh Ignazio began to speak ”See, no one. Engaging this enemy which is a bigger threat makes more sense than dealing with those losers. Besides if you did what I asked you to do it’s not like they can go anywhere. Right?” Ignazio urged as he started to walk again down the alleyway closing his left eye to view the city from above and the rear end of the dragon in pursuit ”Besides, it’s not ordinary dragon like a Salamander. It’s a Wyvern. Sky dragons are extremely dangerous and seeing how Hyorinmaru is Wyrm, this battle of cat and dragon is really going to end soon.” Ignazio said as he began looking once more for any other sources of Qi in the area that were foreign or matched the Wyvern’s; unknown to the young Tamer and Fighter the Wyvern’s Qi was of its own accord and had no link to its master’s, meaning the search could continue for hours or days.

Reaching into his pocket Ignazio grabbed his cellphone once more and dialed the emergency number for the detective that placed the mission in the hands of True Cross. Ignazio explained the situation to her and hung up the phone not too much longer after finishing the fine details as he walked away from Victor. Ignazio wasn’t one for explaining things when he was in a foul mood, but if he wanted to move up in the ranks, he had to do grunt work; not every day you’d see a King doing the work of a servant. Once the phone was returned to his pocket Ignazio stood still and began to focus his energy as both eyes closed softly against his beautifully tanned skin. Soon Qi pulsed outwards through his body into the ground and the air creating a sort of sonar effect behind his eyes allowing him to view the area within his range as if he was a bat. Ignazio had used this method many times before and it tend to work against those less versed in Qi structure. The fact he only had made his Qi strong enough to send a signal and receive rather than turning it into a destructive or passive force it was like a massive radio wave coming from his body. Only thing that it was meant to do was locate other sources of Qi in which it touched, painting a massive picture in his mind of everyone within the area releasing any source of Qi that was out of the ordinary for a human.

The mighty dragons danced along the area swirling around each other, but as his master instructed Hyorinmaru avoided damaging any buildings or people in the area underneath them. Eye moving around as he tracked the speeding beast in front of him; the wyrm was losing in terms of speed to his agile cousin. But there was one thing he had over the other dragon and that was experience. Hyorinmaru may have been considered to be a young dragon, but his age didn’t exclude his experience or his class. With a both wings spread open he allowed his body to tilt to the left and he began to falter backwards and then up beating his wings after watching the speed displayed before him around the corner. Hyorinmaru’s body was too large to complete the tight turn he saw the slender Wyvern take and took the opportunity to take back to the skies. Hyorinmaru’s wings flapped as he saw the Wyvern awaiting for something and his mouth surging with the mighty force of thunder. Hyorinmaru batted his wings towards the Wyvern calling forth an icy fog to form from the clouds around. A thunderous roar circled through the fog that was swiftly covering the city as Hyorinmaru swatted his wings downwards. With his wings pushing the fog towards the Wyvern and propelling his body backwards before he thrust both wings outwards after the fog was completely in place. The dragon flapped his wings hard once then a second time before forcing himself forward through the fog.

Hugging his body with the massive black wings he began to spin rapidly allowing his body to circulate through the freezing smoke creating a twister around his body with frozen shards of ice making him, into a giant spear of sorts. Hyorinmaru was fixed on the source of energy and planned on stabbing through it at full speed. If the Wyvern decided to change the direction of the beam at this point he’d only had a single chance to actually hit the rotating dragon through the tornado but with the rotation of the twister the chances of the attack hitting was slim before it dissipated due to the vacuum effect in the twister, and that wasn’t including the shards of ice circling around within the wind, targeted to rip through anything they touched.

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

        The stairwell exit opened onto a dark passage, not even moonlight alleviated the pitch blackness of the place before the older exorcist. Agnès in turn raised her hand out before her, drawing her own qi into her palm. An orb began to manifest its self as a pale dusty rose color- shining brightly as the hallway before the exorcist began to illuminate. The place certainly looked as decrepit as the emergency stair well on the side of the alley or the stairwell exit to the roof. The place may have served as a business at one time but now it was not much more than dirty and dingy space, papers strewn about and perhaps a straw office chair or desk drawer thrown down the hallway. ‘No matter. This should exit on to the street. And the collection officers should be nearly here to collect the Pandemonium players.’ Agnès thought to herself as she began to make her way down the hallway, turning at the corner to head the towards the direction of the main street. Reaching the main door to the outside world it was easy to tell it was likely boarded up from the outside, not unlike the windows… If there were any. Agnès charged her qi for a few moments before delivering a strong kick towards the doorway; causing the wooden barrier on the outside to fly out towards the street, the actual door disintegrating into broken shards on the floor.

        The street was devoid of the ordinary citizens- those aware of the dragons flying about the streets and alleys were probably hiding out of fear. Yet, a familiar set of vehicles began to approach; generic Vatican transport vans which were black in color. The entourage began to turn off the main street and into the alleyway. However one stopped near Agnès, rolling down a tinted window. A man in his mid-thirties, dirty blonde hair, and a notable scar across his forehead began to speak. The man was asking about changes in the situation, if additional backup would be needed. Agnès gave a sly, but fakely warm smile before responding;
        “A.. Few things have changed. And I may have left out a few details. Ignazio’s son is licking his wounds somewhere down here while two dragon’s duke it out on the streets. Some of the Pandemonium players are more hurt than I suggested.. But none are in a dire situation. But if you don’t mind, I’ve to find this child. All I need you to do is get me a report of what information your people get from these players. That and figure out how to deal with some of the general public being exposed to the mythical creatures. No pressure.” Agnès said to him before walking away from the black van, heading down the street.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias
Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor's suggestion over the dragon was ill received but that was to be expected. It was strange that Victor was being the voice of restraint this time considering the one exam they had taken part of in the forest of screams. He had been the one to try and take on the Hydra himself, no plan, no mercy. Victor had perhaps matured a bit, not become more naïve like Ignazio accused him of being. He humored him a bit, considering what he had said and made sense of his own but a flat out dragon duel in the middle of the downtown area was a gutsy move, even for Victor. “Well, go ahead, then. Not much I can do from down here anyway.” Victor said. If he had to guess, it was all in an attempt to bag a new familiar. He smiled and shrugged as Ignazio looked for someone that wasn't showing himself yet. It all worked for Victor. Either he went home knowing he put away some punks out of the streets or he could tell Alexandria that her valiant knight slayed a dragon or more exactly, a wyvern. As Ignazio began to refocus on his familiar, a fog began to form. Suddenly, there was a pulse that struck Victor like a bubble bursting against his skin. He looked at Ignazio and could sense that it was coming from him. He's looking for the other Tamer. Victor looked up at the buildings but the fog was already beginning to settle, surely to hide the dragon presence. There wasn't much Victor could do at the moment since Ignazio was already feeling out the area for another signature. If the other tamer was well trained, he would have hidden his Qi signature, if not, he was about to get a visit from Victor. “I'll clean up a bit while you ping for our mystery Tamer. I won't be too far.” Victor said as he grabbed the vest of the unconscious rifleman by the dumpster and lifted him off the ground. He carried him past Ignazio and into the alley way, picking up other unconscious players. There was nearly sixty of them, total and Victor didn't want them escaping but also wanted them to receive the care they needed.

He needed a way to get them rounded up but also contained. As he began to set them down, each one side by side, he noticed that they had lost their demonic aura. The Qi that had emanated from within them of demon origin was now completely gone. All that was left was the natural Qi of civilian level. Most of them weren't too harshly hurt, not including the one's he beat. After a few minutes, he had gathered more than half of them, lying on the pavement. He spotted the one who he broke the jaw of and placed his hand on her head. She slept but the blood coming from her mouth was sure to scare her when she awoke. Victor closed his eyes and his hand began to glow. The disfigured jaw suddenly returned to it's rightful place and the scarring disappeared. Victor removed his hand and sighed. He found the one with the broken windpipe. He could tell because of his labored wheezing within the multitude. Stepping over the others, he placed his hand on the boy's throat and did the same as before. He tried to find a sliver of power or demonic influence within him but it was the same as the girl. The demon's possessive grip must not be direct or perhaps local. Perhaps, their usefulness had run out and so they had been abandoned. Still, for so many to be possessed yet not entirely while holding those powers. It all sounds wrong. Victor thought as he looked down at the bodies. He continued to gather them all and monitor them until he had gathered them all. He then pulled out a small stack of paper. They were sutras just like Ignazio's but he only pulled four from the stack before returning the rest to his back pocket. He held two in each hand and threw the ones in his right then his left. The first two flew to the left and right top corners of the staging area for the bodies and the last two touched down on the bottom left and right corners. Victor then put his left palm up against his chest in a vertical position as if praying the Buddhist way. Suddenly, a barrier appeared with a quick flash of orange Qi before it faded from sight. “There, you can rest in peace.” Victor said as he looked back at Ignazio and the exit. “At least until the police come and take you away to your families.”
