Alexandria Elaine Ferdinand

Doctor || Knight || Exwire

              It wasn't long after the group entered the forest that the moon seemed to fade from existence. Leaving them in the eerie twilight created by the extensive barrier. It seemed a fair number of the men were a bit nervous about continuing this journey- but what could one do? Leave and risk getting kicked out? That wasn't a solution at all. Ignazio had begun to walk ahead his golden qi lighting the path dimly before him.

              Alexandria could see the black shapes slither out of the pale golden light- almost as they were leading the boy down the path. It wasn't long till he had found a series of lanterns, small.. And well a giant one too. She remembered the peg lanterns, either from the demonology class she’d taken prior or perhaps from their Exwire exam? Seemed like the exams were never remotely similar and catered to showcase and challenge the strengths of a particular group. This exam seemed to be doing the same. But, ‘Why the nagas?’ Alexandria wondered as she watched Ignazio bring one of the lanterns to Homura.

              Then the boy let out perhaps one of the more surprising shrieks.. He screamed not unlike a traumatized girl in a horror flick. Alexandria couldn't assume a lantern or some snakes had managed to get under his skin- but his qi fade as he lost his concentration. He spoke to Victor in the darkness, almost excitedly. Feeling, that they had a pretty good chance of excelling at the exam. Pausing only a moment he told them someone else was trying to enter the barrier; then asked a more unexpected question.

              “The miasma, in and of its self isn't as flammable as gasoline if that’s what you mean. The effected plants are rather dry and brittle- thus fire would spread quickly.” She answered, they couldn't be one-hundred percent sure on all the miasma’s properties. But, flammability didn't seem to be one it had inherently. But, with the way it effected the surrounding plants- and how it would affect them without the antidote would allow fire to spread like it were flammable.

After touching the barrier his hand pulled back, but it was too late his arm was numb. He couldn't feel anything in his arm. Sadly that wasn't the bad part. Seeing the gas that was sent out into the air. He was not able to get away from the gas quick enough. At the moment its only on the skin. But his objective is to keep it from entering his blood stream. He held his breath when the gas started gushing out. Getting away from the gas he then attempted to go anywhere that he could get medical attention. Whether it was the school's nurse, doctor, or anything. He then thought that he could get help from victor if he runs in to him. Holding his arm, he attempted to run as fast as he could. But he was slow at, normally he would have been quick to get out of their. But this time he knew something was wrong. He then used every bit of strength to get to the academy. (Exit)

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Dragoon || Upper 1st Class

        A pair of binoculars hung from the woman’s neck, she’d heard a little bit about the exam and of the interesting variety of students. But she was more interested to see them in action; really hoping they wouldn't disappoint. Her icy eyes observed a number of figures move in the distance as she drew near to the forest. She could see a bright light in the distance, followed by one of the figures flying back away from the barrier. ‘That couldn't have felt good.’ Agnès thought as she watched the young boy walk by. He was clearly in his own element- trying to make it out.

        Agnès only watched the boy for a moment, as he had lost her interest. She continued on down the path, she could see the stiff figure of a man. It was the headmaster, and he seemed concerned about sending the students into such a dangerous place. There would be no reason to not make her presence known to him, as he had a hell hound to smell her out even if she tried. Quietly and quickly she came up behind Mr. Vega, having to stretch to place her hands on his shoulders.
        “You know, your surprisingly tall in the flesh.” Agnès said as she dropped her hands from his body. During her journey back to Japan she’d spent most the time reading over Vatican files of those she found of interest. She walked to the side of the man, opposite to that of the wolf, it was easy to see a clear height difference between the two exorcists. As the headmaster stood almost a full twelve inches taller than the woman.

        Looking to the forest she spoke to ease his concerns,
        “Don’t seem so concerned, headmaster. One doesn't learn everything in practice and textbooks.” Agnès said as she raised her binoculars to inspect the barrier from the distance, observing the way the miasma swelled up against the walls of the barrier. Putting them down against her chest she looked towards the Spaniard for a moment with her icy gaze, “Their team has a variety of strengths and a barrier meant to keep pages out, simply isn't going to keep them out.” She said with a bored tone to her voice. Certainly he didn't doubt a team that contain a number of half-breeds, and those of some of the great families? Even if Agnès, herself, who normally would admit little appreciation for either the Barthomeloi or the Yggdmillennia; wouldn't doubt their talents completely.

        Agnès began to walk away from the pair, no longer interested in what they had to say. But she called out one last time to the headmaster; turning towards him as she spoke,
        “I can get through that barrier easily. Unless, of course, you doubt my capabilities as well. I’ll be watching them, if I think things are getting out of hand, perhaps I’ll intervene~” Agnès spoke tauntingly to the Spaniard, a coy smile crossing her face. The headmaster likely knew exactly who she was, and that her idea of “safety” was hardly conventional. Instead, borderline unethical by today’s standards. Agnès turned away and continued towards the forest, her eyes scouring the area- looking for a place to observe from.

The young male had followed instructions accordingly, the method to which he had done so had been intentional, Homura was still confused about what exactly was going on within his surroundings, so the best thing for him to do at this moment, would be to figure out the best course of action, so that he would not end up in the way of his fellow classmates. As he watched Ignazio enter the barrier first, he let out a brief sigh, as he perked his hears up waiting to see if he would hear the signs of a body falling to the floor, after a few boring seconds passed away he would realize that nothing occurred.

It was not long before the group would begin to make there advancements, to the other side, as Homura took notice to his surroundings, his amber hues looked from left to right as if expecting something, he felt an ere presence but figured he was not the only one to feel the presence, just as he was about to speak, he was handed a lantern, and realized that there was more to come, Homura notice the group had grown quiet and wondered if that meant there was something coming.

[] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ []

"I am more than just a means to an end."

Audrianna noticed the sudden shift in Naga, as if they were no longer leading but fleeing. The real question was, fleeing from what? Luckily Audrianna had the capability to talk to these creatures, so she decided to give it her best shot. "Why are you fleeing? Why won't you stay and help your Princess?" The Naga continued to slither hastily in front of her, none of them slowing down. They seemed to answer her in unison, though. "It's coming! The terror!" "What terror?" Audrianna inquired as she slowed her pace at the confusion of the Nagas' answer. "Hatched only a few weeks ago. Run before you're devoured!" The Naga obviously weren't going to be very helpful. As low class demons in fear, their answers would never put all the questions together into a meaningful picture. Audrianna sighed as she watched them all scurry off into the night. They sure were spooked.

Speaking of being spooked, it seemed as though a Naga gave Ignazio a surprise of his own. The little demon had fallen out of a tree, trying to escape whatever was coming for them. Ignazio didn't appreciate his momentary visit on his shoulder. As the young Barthomeloi freaked out and took a cowering stance behind Audri, should help but laugh a little. A laugh? A smile? From Audri? Couldn't be. Well, it was. The terror the young man felt in a Naga made her bring forth a small laugh. Audrianna had never feared animals nor demons like Naga, because she grew up with them. Spiders, bugs, snakes, reptiles...they were all her neighbors growing up. Naga were nothing to be concerned about, as long as they were peaceful. Her face quickly dropped though as Ignazio regained his composure. There was no time for laughter or goofing around, there was a lake to be found.

Audrianna heard the voice in the wilderness the same moment Ignazio did. She knew this because she watched his facial expression change and his eyes become shifty. This would be unnoticeable to the rest of the group, but Audrianna was focused on him to see if he heard what she had heard. He was looking for the source of the voice. Nymeria...find the source." Nymeria was tense and on guard, eyes slanted while they rapidly moved from tree to tree. "It's camouflaged somehow. I can't find its position. Stay on guard." Nymeria had an incredible sense of smell, and she would have been able to pinpoint the source of the demon if it wasn't for the forest miasma. It was messing with her nose quite a lot. Audrianna then noticed that Ignazio looked directly at her, with a look that almost looked like desperation. Audrianna nodded ever so slightly to show that she was hearing the voice too.

Ignazio turned to face the rear of the group to acknowledge that someone had tried to break the barrier. That was of little concern to Audrianna at the moment. She took a few steps forward and placed a hand on Ignazio's shoulder, with her back to the group. This way the group could see Ignazio facing them, but Audrianna would be turned away from them. She began to speak in a very quiet voice after Alex had answered him. "I heard it too. Whatever it is, it's going to surround us if it's big, or it's going to attack us in a blind spot if it's one person. We need a plan." Audrianna had thoughts for the best course of action herself, but she would wait and see what Ignazio thought, They were usually on the same page. Audrianna's hand then dropped, but she didn't turn to face the group. She merely kept her eyes forward, watching the darkness. Nymeria kept vigilant as well.

Biting the side of his lip Ignazio tried to focus after Audrianna told him they needed a plan of sorts, the thing was he was working on it, but coming up with a plan without any actually information could be bad in on its own. ”Working on one, but that’s easier said than done.” he whispered to her as he looked around again quickly trying to locate the source of the voice. It wasn’t normal for an Aria or even a Tamer not to find the source of a demonic energy and the fact they were having a hard time locating the demon only proved it was a hunter of some sort. ”Okay, so we’re dealing with something that can hide its presence, and it wants to rip us apart, that could be a multiple things. A Python, a Behemoth, or a Hydra; the question is which one is it.” Ignazio muttered while slowly motioning behind him and feeling under his blazer grabbing one of the many explosives latched on to his belt. Ignazio placed his hand on a slender container with a thin handle on the side and a small button on the top. Removing it Ignazion took the device and clinched it within his hand. Holding up the device as he pressed the button Ignazio tossed it as hard as he could in the distance they were traveling towards the trees. A red light beeped a few times before a red light covered the area as the device activated. It was one of his few signal flares. After using this one the boy only had four left. As the red flames sparked down from the trees lightning the area it allowed Ignazio to see a little better around the area. Using his eyes more so than his Qi now brought him a slight advantage.

The demons that were within the area that they couldn’t see once before scattered from the light as it bothered them. Ignazio sighed as his heart rate increased and he tried to lower it. ”Maybe we were on edge for nothing.” he said as he watched the different creatures scatter. The young tamer started to walk again as he regained his calm composure but he didn’t really believe that he scared off whatever was speaking directly to them. He wasn’t foolish enough to believe that a single signal flare was enough to frighten a guardian demon like a Hydra or a Behemoth. Only time would tell what would happen to them at this point.

Tavion Vega Fighter Dragoon Interpreter of Condolences
Southern Flame General | Acting Paladin | True Cross Academy Headmaster | Arc Knight

Tavion's eyes were fixed on the barrier as he watched the remaining students make their way through, it swallowing them up as the passed. Although it was seemingly "closed" there was still a doorway to be accessed, from the other side. A sigh escaped his lips as he reached down and behind to feel around for Reznya's head so he could pet it. Somehow, the hound seemed to calm his nerves whenever something stressful arose. "I understand what your thinking Rezzy, the students are dumb. They very well much are. Why the hell would anyone want to be an Exorcist anyway? Putting yourself in harms way when you have the pleasure of lounging around all day or just be regular." He shook his head as he spoke. It was as if he were talking to himself, Reznya would never respond back to him.

It was then where his senses kicked in and he could feel the presence of another. He didn't know who, that is, until she made herself known to him by putting her hands on his shoulders. He turned to look but looked into the distance before looking down and realizing that it was the short Upper First Class Exorcist, Agnes Edlfelt or Clementine as her alias, one of the best Aria in existence. He knew most if not all of the Exorcist.

The Headmaster could only let out a small chuckle. "Or...your just short, Miss Edelfelt" He responded with a grin on his face. He couldn't help but give a remark to her comment. His eyes trailed her as she quite noticably avoided Reznya by making her way opposite of the hound, to stand on his side. She was quite the elaborate dressed one, as her file stated before she transferred to True Cross as a Teacher. He sighed as she told him not to be so concerned and that they're a team comprised of a different strengths. They weren't to be taken lightly. He knew that but he still couldn't help but be concerned, they were after all, still only Exorcist candidates. "I understand that, but I still cannot help it." Tavion spoke in a flat tone as Agnes began to walk away but turned to face him while speaking.

Of course she could get through the barrier. If candidates could figure out a way to phase through a Upper 1st Class could do it in their sleep. Another chuckle escaped his lips as teased about him doubting her and that she'd intervene if things get out of hand. "I'm trusting that you'll make it so I won't have to take action." The Headmaster called out to her as she continued to walk. That woman was downright dangerous...

              To be told, something seemed to set her comrades off kilter. She for one, wouldn't have been able to hear the words of the demon, but also didn't understand their sluggishness either. They began to talk about the fiend being able to hide very well, batting around ideas of what it could be. None of that interested her, Alexandria knew the longer they spent sitting around was more time for a threat to make its way to them. Or worse, for the antidote to begin to wear off.

              So, Alexandria brought her thoughts out in the open;
              “We just need to move as a group, sitting here is worse than not moving at all. We don’t exactly know how long we've got until the antidote begins to wear off and we know the relative amount of time we have between now and when we must finish our objective.” She said to them, truth be told no one seemed to be moving quickly. “I say we go with our initial walking formation and make our way towards the lake. Just stay alert; we don’t want to be caught off guard.” Alexandria said as she moved forward, stopping not far from where the two tamers stood.

The flare was enough to threaten the Hydra and as Alexandria moved forward it took the opportunity to strike. Coming down from above in the trees with its mouth wide open the venom from the large fangs protruding outwards rained down like acid as it melted the ground. Its body was long and a dark gray in color. It looked like a giant python than a demon. The large snake came down upon its target in order to swallow her whole. The snake-like demon was a giant compared to the average snakes they have been seeing but this was also due to the effects of the miasma. The dripping of the venom would be enough to melt part of Alexandria’s clothes if it touched her, although even though she had extreme skills when it came to dodging at the very last seconds out of her good luck, was it possible for her to have enough time to dodge the lightning speed strike form the Hydra as its ability to hide its Qi wore off as it was ready to attack. The Qi coming from the demon was clearly demonic but, seeing how each of the students were at least of Exwire rank or below they would only see the snake as nothing more than an over grown snake trying to kill their teammate who thought it would be a good idea to break formation and continue walking after spouting her personal feelings on the issues that were being discussed in private by Ignazio and Audrianna whom were whispering.

The red light from the signal flare casted a large shadow over the group as the demon fell down with its tail still falling from the tree top bring down the branch with the rest of its body. The tightly coiled tail let go and then fell at a greater speed allowing gravity to pull it down. The fall to the ground would cause a massive explosion of rock and smoke once it hit and if Alexandria attempted to dodge she might get caught by the falling of the remainder of its body or the large branch coming down with it. The leaves floated slowly from above creating a scene of elegance. It was like a dance and the Hydra was the main dancer.

The Hydra looked almost like an oversized Naga, but it wasn’t, but because it was missing additional heads it was impossible to know if it was a Hydra or a Naga. At this point in time, it looked rather bad for the Pages and Exwires. Their Proficiency Exam, had officially started and their time was running out quickly.

[] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ []

"I am more than just a means to an end."

Audrianna could feel the fear coming from Ignazio. It was understandable though. The group was relying on him, and he had to act fast. The group was blissfully unaware of the large demon that surrounded them, but Ignazio and Audri knew. They were the most aware of the group of the demon that was possibly stalking them. If it could hide it's appearance, it was either a serpent or a Behemoth. Ignazio thought the same as well. She watched as Ignazio through an explosive into the forest, and nothing happened. A few demons fled, but not the one they were looking for. The tiny demons were unimportant right now, they needed to find their hunter.

When Alex began her outburst, Audrianna couldn't help but roll her eyes a little. Every time Audri seemed to do something, even if it was stop to talk to Ignazio for two minutes, she had something to say about it. The plant, the antidote, and now a simple conversation. Surely she could tend to herself for once. "Yes let's dart into the dark forest without any idea where the demon is or what it is. That way it can surprise us and it will be so much fun!" Audrianna was of course being sarcastic. It was very unwise to move into complete darkness without knowing what they were facing first. It was never smart to go into a battle blind. If the worry was the miasma, then that was no worry at all. The effects of the plant Audri chose would last a good long while. She thought a doctor would know that. No matter how tight a formation Ignazio could make, it would never be enough to justify moving into an area without any knowledge of what was stalking them. Time was not of importance, it was keeping the members of the group alive. They would all fail the exam if they all died.

Then, almost in a flash, it seemed as though Nymeria's teeth bore and her growl began. "Audrianna! There! Move!"Audrianna's head snapped up towards the position where the Hydra was sitting before it decided to lunge. It's mouth was open, intending to swallow Alex whole. Audrianna's teeth gritted as she said "s**t! I told you!" right as the snake lunged. The snake was coming at the girl fast, but Audrianna had spotted it seconds before it decided to lunge. Her plan would hopefully defend Alex from the snake eating her like a rat. Nymeria! Earth form, earth spikes!" Audrianna and Nymeria were so well synced that Nymeria knew what Audri wanted done without many words or explanation. Nymeria quickly turned into her stone form, and she stomped her paw on the ground. This made earth spikes erupt from the ground in front of Alex. If they Hydra continued to lunge, then the spikes would tear through its head and it would be caught on the rocks. This would also allow Alex to move.

Audrianna watched as the snakes tail was falling, and realized that the size of the monster would cause the earth to quake when the monster hit. Audrianna transferred her demonic Qi to her feet and was firmly planted to the earth. The earth was her servant, and she was its master. It would obey her. If the earthquake happened, Audrianna would be unwavering. She couldn't say that same for her comrades if they didn't transfer Qi to their feet either. Audrianna stood to the right of the Hydra attack, and Ignazio stood beside her. Nymeria was to the left of the beast. She could see the venom dripping from the monsters mouth, and she didn't know what to do about that, Hopefully Alex could move fast enough out of the way. The Hydra's strike was fast, but Nymeria was prepared before it ever lunged, since its camo wore off seconds before. "What could it be? A Python? The spikes should slow it down, but the weakness to every demon is its heart." Audrianna knew it was a demon of some sort, because when it spoke only Ignazio and her heard it. Audrianna could make any animal obey her due to being the Princess of the Earth, but they couldn't talk to her. Was this the beast that would stand in their way of the exam, or was there still more to come?

The large serpent collided with the stones and caused its head to go from heading straight down to being flung across the field and hitting the tree that the signal flare was in knocking it down. The remainder of the body crashed along the ground causing it to crumble and pick up dust. The tree branch that had been falling collided with the ground as well and created a slight roadblock to the group. The giant snake’s body began to pour out blood which melted the ground around it. The blood boiled and released a pink like gas into the air as the snake laid there dead. Or at least it appeared to look dead. The snake’s fall did uncover something, the ground the group had been walking on had not just been dirt and rocks, but old snake skin, by the looks of it, it could have been fresh by a few months or even days. There was no telling how many more snakes like this one they would find in the forest.

As the girls bickered Ignazio’s head quickly turned as the shadow started to form and his senses kicked in. ”There…” he yelled but as he got ready to act Audrianna already acted, she was a lot faster on the uptake than he thought, but she was a demon, her senses were sharper than his even as a tamer. Ignazio watched the spike come from the ground and looked at the familiar as it called forth the Earth to do its bidding. Ignazio prepared himself for the impact of the snake’s body by digging his feet into the dirt but that was until he noticed the poison dripping from its fangs and it touched one of the rock forms melting it. The light from the signal flare was being blocked by the massive body of the snake but it didn’t change the fact of what he saw. ”Don’t let the liquid touch you Alexandria! It’s Kin to the demon of Rot, it’ll melt through your skin like it was nothing but paper.” Ignazio said as he began to move over of the way of the falling debris. Leaping backwards and to the right and left he managed to reach Lloyd and grabbed him by the hand and pulled him away as well then slid to a stop as the smoke clouded their vision even more so now than the miasma already was. Once the body hit the ground Ignazio stumbled slightly holding on to Lloyd in order to keep an attachment with him. Ignazio cared a little more for his childhood friend then the others, but that was partially due to the fact he figured they could take care of themselves.

Letting go of Lloyd’s hand he began to approach the group and looked at the oozing blood eating through the ground, his analysis was correct, it was a demon under the influence of Rot. The King of Rot’s demons gave a dangerous spirit wound that was on the equivalent of acid and could kill someone if it wasn’t treated right away. The burns would keep eating away until there was nothing left, not even bone. Ignazio looked down at the ground and noticed the signal flare was gone. He grabbed another from his belt which was stacked next to a few grenades and activated it. The light that sparked was a bright red in color. Ignazio held it above his head and noticed the snake skin on the ground. ”Well, on the bright side it wasn’t a Hydra. It appears to just be a possessed snake, and judging by this snake skin we’re standing on it might not be the only one we run into. Hey, Alexandria, are you okay over there? ” Ignazio called over to the girl as he made his way over to her but stopped at Audrianna’s side and placed his free hand on her shoulder. ”Nice shooting Tex.” he joked as he made a motion with his hand passed his neck to symbolize the beheading. It did make him feel a little better that he didn’t have to use any kind of summoning or Qi for something like a possession.

              There was a shift in movement from the shadows behind her. The creature that emerged from the darkness moved like lightening, opening its wide mouth to swallow her whole. Alexandria turned her head slightly to see as a large jagged rock pierced the creature’s head. Not only decapitating the creature but additionally sending the scaly head flying into a nearby tree.

              Alexandria wouldn't have a moment to thank the girl; rather having to make her move to escape from the poisonous fluids that expelled from the new opening in the snakes neck and the body that was quickly collapsing on her. Alexandria pushed her self away from where she stood, finding her hands against the ground for a moment before pushing off to continue her flight. Her landing came at about the same time the snake had, causing the earth to shake violently momentarily. Alexandria tried to steady herself against the tree she’d landed near but she couldn't help losing her steps.

              Wasn't long after the shaking had ceased that Alexandria heard Ignazio calling out to the group that the large snake would seem to be a naga; not the hydra they’d dreading the appearance of.
              “I’m fine.” Alexandria called out to answer Ignazio. Picking herself up from the ground; Alexandria began to walk around the large corpse-like body. Her right hand gripped the hilt of her rapier, ready to draw it at a moment’s notice. As she made her way once more towards Audrianna and Ignazio, although her olive gaze studied the snake and noticed how quickly the poison had melted the ground. Looking over to the ghostly pale girl she simply said, “Thank you.” Her gaze turning to the ground before her, as much as she had felt the skin just moments before.. It hadn't registered that it had an unusual texture. Now they had the time to discuss the plan moving forward it would seem, but they needed to move. Longer they kept dilly-dallying was just wasted time.

With his sword holsted behind him in its sheath and his left hand motioning up to the handle, the red hair on the back of his neck began to stand up as he started to gather his Qi, but it was only for a second before it faded and the snake’s head was ripped off and pinned to a tree like a trophy. As the remainder of the body hit the ground Homura staggered slightly before noticing Alexandria dodge the body. Homura cursed at himself as he missed his chance to take out the over grown snake and seize the chance to look like the hero and show up Victor who clearly was getting too close to one of his potential wives. Homura lowered his hand made his way over to the body of the large creature and began to stop his right foot into the scales, almost to check to see if it was actually dead, but he was also swearing under his breath at the opportunity he missed. ”Stupid snake, you couldn’t just have dodged the rocks and let me kill you first; stupid, stupid, stupid. I can’t believe I got shown up by a girl. A wicked hot girl, but a girl none the less. Stupid reptile.”

Homura stopped stomping his foot into the fatty scaly left overs once his foot had made an indent from his demonic strength. He had almost lost control, but the Power Limiters did the trick in limiting the amount of demonic Qi that flowed through his body which bound him to his human senses. Homura turned and made his way over to the log and then bent his knees and placed both hands underneath it and began to lift up the large tree branch. Allowing his demonic strength to do all the work, it was almost like lifting a piano alone for a human. It was heavy, but wasn’t too heavy. Homura’s eyes were colored with the same pink flames until he threw the tree out of the way, showing his strength. Flexing a little after he tossed the tree he made his way over to Alexandria. ”Are you okay? Hey you’re a doctor right? So if you hurt yourself on your dodging stunts I can carry you, it’s the least I can do as the strongest guy here and all. Besides if someone’s pet’s aim was off by a little it would have been your head stuck into that tree.”

Homura looked at the wolf and growled at it as his eyes flared with the change in his hue around the iris of his eyes. Homura showed his slightly sharpened fangs as to the wolf and then turned back and looked at Alexandria before getting on a knee. ”Alexandria, I won’t be able to live with myself if you get injured, run away with me my love. Let the flames of our love be a shield and my sword be the weapon that slays all that tries to break us apart.” he said all dramatic like trying to bring a smile to Alexandria’s face then stood up and took her hands into his. ”Ignazio, I’ll protect Alexandria from now on, let me take up the rear in the formation seeing how she’s the only doctor, it’ll make sense to protect her a little more now after that little attack.”

[] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ []

"I am more than just a means to an end."

Audrianna nodded at Alex as she gave her thanks. Maybe that would keep the young female off her back for a while. This was why Audrianna hated working in groups. There was always drama directed towards her about something. She hadn't insulted anyone directly besides Victor. At least his snide comments were appropriately directed. Audri turned her head towards Ignazio as he spoke about the demon not being a Hydra. Clearly, if it had been a Hydra, another head would have sprouted from its body when she decapitated it. Though decapitation was not her plan, the snake had sealed its fate by continuing the charge and hitting the barrier Nymeria put up. Clearly it was not a very bright demon.

When Ignazio placed his hand on Audri's shoulder, she looked over at him with a faint smile. She had only given a friendly smile to Ignazio, but he was the only one who really tried to be her friend. The others seemed to keep their distance or make untrue judgements about her. She was used to that though. "Thanks. But it's Nymeria who we need to thank." Although Audrianna had given the order to use the earth spikes, Nymeria was the one who actually did it. Nymeria looked over as Audri mentioned her name, but looked away quickly when she realized that Audri was praising her. Nymeria hated praise, because she shouldn't be thanked for doing her job as a familiar.

When Homura began babbling on about being shown up by a girl, Audrianna's smile faded into a glare and brooding face quickly. She was still looking at Ignazio when this happened, but she knew he would catch on that it was Homura that caused her change in mood. Her hands balled up into fists at her sides as she listened to the male chauvinistic bull s**t spew from his mouth. He was too slow to act, and Audrianna saved the girl who had been anything but nice to her the whole time. The least Homura could do would say "thanks for that" or "way to go". Audrianna didn't necessarily want praise or thanks, but she didn't want someone crying over the fact they didn't act fast enough.

Audrianna looked over just in time to see Homura growl at Nymeria. This set Audri into a rage. An absoulute rage. She could feel her blood boil and her claw like nails dig into her palms. Nymeria growled back, with baring more fangs than Homura could ever have and with a fiercer tone. He then turned around and got down on one knee to speak to Alex. Audrianna saw this as her opportunity. She marched herself over the ignorant son of Satan, and as she came up behind him, she had her fist raised. She then punched the absolute s**t out of the back of his head as she said in a very violent tone "Iggit! Don't you EVER threaten Nymeria like that again or I swear to god I'll beat the living s**t out of you within an inch of your life!" Audrianna punched hard enough to leave a huge welt on Homura's head, one that would be hurting a long while. Audri hoped it would be a reminder about minding his manners around familiars. Audrianna then turned and walked back towards Ignazio, feeling her rage subsiding after releasing it all on Homura's head. Nymeria followed after her, head held high and fur fluffed up, almost as if saying "ha ha". As Audrianna reached Ignazio, she looked at him in the eyes as she shook her head and said "a*****e..." She said it loud enough for Homura to hear, as she was referring to him. Ignazio would be the one to understand the bond of one to their familiar, and could understand Audri's rage when someone insulted her companion. Audrianna moved past Ignazio and took a spot beside him, looking at the welted Homura.
