Tavion had never relaxed himself even as he left Ignazio to think about what he was saying, which he answered back fairly quickly. The former Headmaster scowled at his reply about liking how he was left in the dark about where he stood in the Order, even after all he had done to keep the peace between the High Lords of Gehenna and the True Cross Order. But Ignazio took it too far by saying he was 'harboring' demons. "Harboring? That's quite a terrifying word. I harbored no demons, but simply gave hurt ones sanctuary for the time being. I don't believe in executing an already downed enemy, nor do I wish this conflict between human and demon-kind to continue. It has waged on for countless years; far before you and I were born. But I can see it in your eyes, you like this..."
Ignazio had turned his attention from Tavion and making his way past him to look out to the forest. The white haired man's eyes caught only the lighting hitting the zenith of the barrier that threatened to collapse it. Tavion had no knowledge of dragon summoning, so that accusation of him knowing that dragons were summoned illegally on campus was out the window, unless of course, they decided to pin that on him as well.
Like father like son. The both of them were Tamers and that same ritual of having to inflict harm upon themselves to draw upon the very demon's that they loathed sickened Tavion. A sphere of space, intricately drawn on the floor of the Clocktower rooftop marked the use of said summoning magic along with the drip of blood required for it's activation. Six hounds that reeked of blood and death broke the barrier between the Human world and demon world and they stood at attention for Ignazio. Tavion was still on guard and even more so now that those beasts were so close to him. Ignazio had opted to ask Tavion where he was the last couple of days. Tavion wasn't obligated to answer, nor would the Barthomeloi Head believe him but he would say it anyway. "I do mind, but I will tell you anyway because I'm puzzled as to what happened. I've been nowhere. I have no knowledge of what I've done nor what has happened to me these last few days. All I know is that I woke up with this on my throat." The former Headmaster pointed to his throat and what was there seemed to be a tattoo of sorts.

The man turned and looked at Tavion and shook his head as he took interest in the marking before sighing. ”Tavion, you’re still an idiot.” he coldly said as he looked back out to the forest. ”How about from now on you check your messages, and when the Grigori calls on you for a private Arc Knight summons, you answer the call and meet with them like the rest of us.” Ignazio snapped before raising his left hand into the air and scrapped the bottom of his foot along the magically burned circle smuggling the flames and sending the demon hounds back to Gehenna. ”That’s a rune marking, by the way. It’s been etched into your soul and body. So the gods have given you a gift. I suggest you treat it kindly and maybe learn how to use it.” Ignazio replied as the men and women lowered their weapons and placed them at their sides. ”As much as I wish that message I gave you earlier was the real thing, I only came to tell you this. Check your messages, watch your a**, and make sure you aren’t doing anything stupid. There are more people in the world that don’t like you who aren’t from my family.” the Barthomeloi head said before waking back towards the entrance he entered from then stopped before turning to look at Tavion. ”If I were you; I’d go over to the forest and check that little problem of yours out. Dragons aren’t like normal demons, they can be seen by normal humans, and given the size of that one, it won’t be long until someone else sees it, and then you’re stuck having to either force them into being a member of the order, or you need to find someone who can erase memories. Either way, you’re going to be in trouble if a dragon is running wild here, especially seeing how they are upper level demons. My job’s done though, I’m on vacation, these guys were actually here to arrest you, but I told them that you were on vacation for the pass couple of weeks and I’ve been sitting in for you, and I forgot to submit the paperwork for your vacation. You stayed at my beach house in Bermuda, if anyone asks.”
The man reached his hand into his crimson suit pockets and pulled out a bracelet and tossed it to Tavion. ”A gift from the island. As proof, you known, don’t need any snoopers finding dirt on you and then me covering up for your two week absence from duty.”

Ignazio had turned to Tavion, sighing after looking at what it was on his throat. He easily called him an idiot. Such an empty insult. "I will be an idiot so long as your alive..." He retorted with not much care for the Barthomeloi's jibe. No matter what he did or didn't do, Tavion would always be seen as the fool in Ignazio's eyes. He probably would never know why nor did he particularly cared. He had not even a care for why the entire family despised the very sound of his name. Even the child. It was quite weird how one person was disliked so much. Was it a respect thing? Did Ignazio not respect him? Well actually...that was painfully obvious to say the least. Just on the strength of the Head of the Barthomeloi not respecting the brute of an Exorcist, the whole family followed suit. Which was actually to be expected. Who rebels against their own family?
At the mention of the Arc Knight summons mandated by the Grigori, Tavion rolled his eyes. Whenever there was a meeting, Tavion said nothing. In the recent days, no one listened to his suggestions, heeded his warnings, nothing. They treated him as if he were still wet behind the ears although he had some good stuff to contribute. His words always fell on deaf ears so he opted to not go to the last few, albeit being a child's move. Tavion wouldn't speak on that subject so he stayed quiet about it. What piqued his interest however, was Ignazio telling him about what it was on his throat. It was a rune marking that has been weaved into the fabric of his very soul. There was no getting away from it and he must learn how to use it some how. Interestingly enough, Ignazio called it a 'Gift from the Gods'. It was very odd for him to call it such. Tavion would only nod at the Head of the family.
Those that had surrounded Tavion, had back down somewhat, lowering there weapons, which puzzled him slightly. He had also lowered his guard as well as there was no point in being hostile if no one else was. These folk would no act without the command of the Arc Knight. The message that Ignazio had given him earlier was in fact fake. Tavion had...somewhat called his bluff. The real message urged that he keep up with his messages, watch his a** and make sure that he wasn't doing anything stupid. There were other people who wanted to see him fall that weren't part of Barthomeloi family. Ignazio turned and walked toward the entrance in which he came but stopped to speak to the young Arc Knight once more. He told him to go to the forest and handle the problem that he was having right now because that little problem could turn into a huge one because a dragon wasn't a normal demon but one that can be seen by a normal humans. What surprised Tavion more was not the dragons but the fact that the man who hadn't liked him since he was a boy was now covering his tracks by saying that he was on vacation at his beach house in Bermuda and that he himself was sitting in for him. That was...odd. A bracelet was tossed his way to which Tavion caught it. He looked down at it as Ignazio continued to speak. Looking up, he had only one question for him. "Why do you help me?"

Upon hearing the question asked to him Ignazio sighed and raised the cane and placed the jeweled end on his shoulder as his eyes closed slowly before opening. ”Because if I allowed the Grigori to take you from here, I’d be stuck doing this job and my own job, and I really don’t like children; my own family can justify that.” he said as he turned his head and looked at the men and women still standing around. ”You’re dismissed; your assistance won’t be needed. As you heard, the Arc Knight was on vacation.” the man order, causing the troops stand at attention and salut the two men before disbursing some getting into the helicopter and others taking the entrance from the stairwell back down to black armored trucks. The only one remaining on the roof was Ignazio and Tavion. The man lowered the cane and tapped it along the roof top once again. ”Also, you still haven’t taken care of that mission from before. I’m taking it as you’re not going to do it, so I’m going to reassign it to someone else. You have enough things to make up for and leaving the Academy now would make them want to come after you even more.”
The Barthomeloi head stared into the eyes of the silver haired male and began to raise his left hand slowly as he spoke. ”You’re young, inexperienced, and people don’t respect you because you haven’t done anything to claim that respect. The truth behind your rank as an Arc Knight is just as a figure head, you’re still a green horn Tavion, and to be honest I don’t think you’ll ever understand why they chose you of all the people who were worthy of the title and rank of Arc Knight.” moving his hand around from left to right Ignazio showed his passion in his words and soon lowered his hand on top of his right one, which was resting on top of the crimson jewel on top of the cane. ”Your little display at the opening ceremony made Vatican News. If I’m not mistaken it read something like ‘Newly appointed Arc Knight instructing students drunk’ or something along those lines. When Ignazio told me about the display I figured he was just being dramatic, but the cameras caught you, and as you and I both know, cameras don’t lie often. If you want to increase your respect level within the Vatican and regain the Grigori’s trust, you should make sure your Students who enter the Exorcist Qualification Exam at the end of the month are well prepared. You might also want to check your messages on that too.”

✖ ╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲╲ ✖
The silver/white haired Arc Knight chuckled at Ignazio's response. Of course it wasn't for anyone else's benefit but his own. His own self fulfillment and his own interest. Why else would a man like Ignazio help someone he most keenly disliked. But the words that came from his mouth couldn't be truer. He would have to take on both jobs by himself. Why do that when you could have someone else that's capable of doing it, do it. Another chuckle escaped Tavion's lips of the mention of not liking children. "We're most opposite people indeed."
Ignazio had turned to the armed forces only to dismiss them claiming that they had heard what he said. They would most likely not speak a word about what was said unless they wanted to be executed. They had made their exits to the helicopter and down the stairs in whatever vehicles they had arrived in. The helicopter that had been suspended in mid-air made it's exit as well very swiftly no doubt. And then there were two; Ignazio and Tavion. His attention was on the aircraft but was brought back by the loud tap of the Barthomeloi's cane. His gaze locked onto the man that was speaking. He spoke of his mission not being fulfilled and that it would be reassigned to someone else. It wasn't a completely urgent mission but Ignazio, had in fact, entrusted it to Tavion, which he didn't do it. Yet though. He needn't interject about it because he still had all the details about it. He would still completely it when the time was right. That time was not now. Things were heating up for the young Arc Knight and that would make things that much hotter.
Ignazio finally locked eyes with Tavion even though he had his eyes on him the entire time. He began to criticize him but it wasn't like he was trying to degrade him but only to make him see why he had no respect. Tavion was young and inexperienced. Not only that, he had no respect even as an Arc Knight. His abilities were the things in question but what he has or hasn't done to deserve his position. Many others had done things to deserve the title but he still attained it. Ignazio stated that he would never understand why he was chosen. "I'll just have to search then." Was all he said in that regard. Ignzio's words were filled with passion for the subject and Tavion had no idea whether those very words were something to try and make him better or not but he would take it in stride.
The topic of his little drink before the Opening Ceremony of the year making Vatican news made Tavion frown inwardly. He din't think much of it, so why was the Vatican making such a big deal out of it? Maybe that was part of the reason Ignazio said he was a greenhorn BECAUSE he didn't think it was a big deal. It most likely really was though. "The cameras don't lie. I had a drink, but only to calm my nerves. I still have trouble speaking in front of a crowd. I don't want to justify that for a means to end an end but I will say that it probably was inappropriate to do that in front of the students. I will have to pay for that later..." He spoke to the Ignazio who continued about increasing his respect around the Vatican and regaining the trust of the Grigori by making sure the students who entered the Exorcist Qualification Exam or Exwire Test, were the best that they could be at that moment. Maybe then he would gain a bit of respect. Tavion nodded in that regard. "Whoever I sponsor will most likely win the tournament." He said which was intended to note that he read the messages about the exam. Tavion paused after saying that and smiled at Ignazio. "Maybe we could've been brothers in the time of old..."
Ignazio quickly cut off Tavion after his final statement with a simple ”I’d rather we not go into whatever dream in whatever twisted fantasy land you are currently living in.” Ignazio said as he glared at the younger man and placed his left hand into his trouser pocket before lowering his almighty gaze. ”The Exorcist Qualification Examination is not like the little tests that this Academy has been using for years for their Exwire Examination. The Exorcist Qualification Examination is a state test, in order to become an official Exorcist. I have no doubts that Ignazio will pass the examination but the other students is who I am worried for. They can die during this exam and if you haven’t taught them properly with this year’s lax staff, they’ll only look fat and lazy under your command. As for that whole sponsorship thing, if you plan on having a lot of Pages enter this exam, you might want to call their parents first, they are the only ones that need a sponsor and at the rate you get paid, you’ll go broke just by sponsoring one or two of them. The exams are being held on Hanging Neck Island this year. Its not a friendly or easy location to even get to let alone survive in that environment. Also a certain female exorcist by the name of Maya Natsume is in charge this year. If I were you I’d be on guard at all times. She doesn’t play fair when it comes to the rules, and is a bit of a pain in the a** since the Natsume family became State Affiliated Exorcist. Keep that in mind.”

Tavion's smile quickly faded into a hard expression once Ignazio cut him off and said his peace. "Right. Of course. Your too good for that anyway." He replied shaking his head. What a b*****d. Tavion's eyes narrowed as Ignazio began talk of the Exorcist Qualification Examination. It was indeed, a state mandated test and those who are not ready for it will die. Although Tavion had been absent for quite some time, he still knew of a few Pages that easily could pass the test. All the details that Ignazio was informing him on, he already had knowledge of. He needn't no further explanation but the red coated man still desired to speak so Tavion would let him. Mention of his 'lax staff' made Tavion frown a bit and he felt inclined to defend them but he couldn't. How can you defend someone when you can even defend yourself? "I will personally train those one or two and sponsor them with the money you so humbly bestowed upon me." He said quite sarcastically. He wasn't trying to get under the man's skin but if it happened, so be it.
What piqued Tavion's interest though, was the mention of where the Exams were to be held and who was in charge this year. Hanging Neck Island was the location and Maya Natsume of the newly State Affiliated Exorcist families. Ignazio informed Tavion that she played by no rules and the rules that were in place, she bent them to her will. A dangerous woman but one the Order needed, no doubt, to build True Cross into more of a powerhouse. "I'll will heed your advice Ignazio, though I will only trust your word as far as I can throw it." He explained crossing his arms. This was meant to let Ignazio know that even if he meant well by telling him, his word would only be trusted but so much because the two still had no liking for one another.
The head of the Barthomeloi family nodded his head and soon checked his watch before stretching his mouth by yawning and ever so gracefully covered his mouth with the back side of his right hand, still holding on to the cane. ”The money invested into this Academy only goes towards the demonology department and training halls, not to mention the house we have taken over. But if you do need a donation, you should hold a benefit dance or dinner and invite all the major family heads for a, skill display to show the investors what they are putting money into. Although that’s what I would do if I was desperate for money. Especially if I wanted inexperienced and untraditional Pages entering this style of…combat ” The fudge haired male flipped his hair from his azure eyes and once again tapped the cane along the surface of the roof top.
”You know, Mr. Vega, if I were you, I would think things through, in terms of this academy. You have a lot more power than you think you hold. Yet those powers have yet to be shown, you allow students and teachers even to skip out on their days and even talk back to you with no form of a punishment. Although I wouldn’t dare talk back to someone who could potentially find a reason to slay me in my sleep, so I understand why you haven’t exactly, showed your fangs, but you might want to do something about your demon problem. I was going through the applicants of the Cram School last night, and noticed something funny, you have about four or maybe even five half-demons enrolled in the academy. One in particular, belongs to a deceased upper class exorcist whom is now deceased. Do your best and watch yourself.” Ignazio warned before turning his back to Tavion and waving lazily. ”I’ll be in touch Mr. Vega, please do your best to survive a little longer.” The man said as he exited through the door and made his way down the stairs.

The young Fighter took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as the man before him yawned while checking his watch. Ever so rude as always. Ignazio had however, corrected Tavion on the money that was invested in the Academy. It was not for his use and his use alone but for the Demonology School, training facilities and of course House Rajaion. He did however urge him to have a benefit dinner dance (ball?) and to invite al of the major family head to aid with donations. Somehow he would need to display his skill in his field in order to let them see what they were going to be the benefactor for and to advocate Pages to his particular style. Not a bad idea. Tavion would no doubt give it some thought. He wouldn't think on it too much longer though. He only had until the end of the month to get it done.
Silence over took the two for a short while before Ignazio began to speak once again, referring to him as 'Mr. Vega' for some odd reason or another. Was it a way of mocking him? Tavion wouldn't read into it because he was saying far more interesting things. For example the fact that he had more power than he thought he had in the Academy and in the Exorcist world for that matter. It was almost as if he were recommending that he start handing out punishments in order to garner more respect around the Academy. In that respect, Ignazio was correct. He hadn't handed out any punishments for breaking the rules. His tenure right now as Headmaster of True Cross should go down as a laughing stock and that wouldn't be allowed. He would have to become more stern in order for those not to step on his toes. But slaying him in his sleep? "That would be the only way that I'd depart from the fine Earth." He joked, a chuckle following albeit being very serious about the matter. No one was bad enough to do that at the moment.
Interestingly enough, Ignazio mentioned him having five half demons enrolled in the academy one of which belonged to a deceased upper classs exorcist. Tavion wanted to know which one it was so he would ask. "I hope it's not Durante we're talking about." He plainly said before continuing. "And I would like to know which one of the half-demons it was?" His question wouldn't be answered at this time as Ignazio hadn't waited long enough to answer. He took his leave to the stairway in which he came bidding him farewell and wishing for his survival in this game a bit longer. And then there was one. Tavion was by himself atop the clock tower. A sudden breeze whipped up the afternoon air around him. The Fighter waited to here the zooming of engines to make his leave as well. He would heed the other Arc Knight's advice and make his way to the Forest of Screams to settle whatever was going on over there.

Flames hurled down from the mouths of a group of lesser dragons. The flames seemed to be targeted at specific locations on the top of the roof of the massive academy. Some of the Salamanders landed on the roof while others circled the clock tower, claiming the area as their own.

[enter] Sora likened the feeling to playing on the soccer field without a break in between. Her heart was racing, but she had to keep running, or otherwise collapse when it came down to it. As she continued her climb, she noticed that the temperature was increasing. The roof, by default, must have been attacked already, and set aflame. She opened the door and sprinted out on to the roof, only to be greeted with a blast of flame. She covered her face with both arms, cringing and grinding her teeth at the sudden attack. It appeared that she had drawn the attention of the enemy by running up to meet them on their ground, but this was good enough for her. She'd take them all out, one by one, but only if her strategies played out exactly the way she hoped they did. She wouldn't let herself be weak now of all times.
Before she got a chance to steady her breath, she noticed a flame growing on her left. With a quick glance to the side she noticed that she was being targeted again and leapt forward, her arms being used as a buffer for when she hit the ground. She rolled once and ended up skidding across the roof while she tried to regain her balance. One leg was posted up with her foot placed firmly against the ground while her other leg was down with the knee touching the roof top. She brought her hands up to attack, but she was surrounded from all angles again. It was frustrating to fight flying enemies that shot fire, but she had to do something. She hopped back up to her feet and looked around her battlefield. Some already took flight, but one landed right in front of her. Her hands were shaking, and she felt her legs tremble for just a moment, but she wasn't going to die so easily.
"It's...your funeral." Sora noted without a care for the creature in front of her. This ring of flame would be the final place the Salamanders saw, if Sora had anything to say about it. She could easily handle one in single combat, but the others that circled about like vultures interfered with her strategy, so she was a bit more cautious than she was when she fought the Garm. There was no need to grow hasty when the only thing she'd quicken to was her own grave if she did that much. She put all of her faith in her skill as a fighter, so just this once she was going to make a few sacrifices for the greater good. As long as she could keep her gates active, then she'd be fine, but the problem with some of them was that they couldn't be activated or remain active thanks to the battlefield.
She spread her feet shoulder width apart and brought her arms backwards and down to her waist. Her breathing slowed down as she sought the focus that would be mandatory for this battle. "I hope you've said your prayers." Sora opened her eyes, her focus reaching its apex as she took her battle stance. She wasn't going to grapple with the Salamander, and would instead focusing on causing as much damage as possible until it dropped dead. She'd move on to the rest after she finished this single one off, and after them was the rest of the school. She was the only one here, so it was time to enact her plan. Victory was assured, as long as everything worked how she believed it would!

Climbing up to the top was a bit tiring but nevertheless he made it. Yeah sure, a bit out of breath but, he made it. The first thing he had noticed as he had climbed higher and higher was that the temperature was slowly increasing bit by bit. And now that he finally had reached the roof, the heat had reached its peak. The temperature being too much to bear, Konomi quickly took of the wine red jacked of his new school uniform, tossing it on the ground, leaving it to take it back later when he was finished beating the crap out of those demons once more. Hopefully he wouldn't forget about it though... He also rolled up the sleeves of his white dress shirt and did the same for the ends of his pants, in hope that his body would feel cooler, even for a tiny little bit. This place was too damn hot seriously. The abnormal temperature pretty much told him what the powers of the salamanders were in a way, so he kind of knew what to expect from the fight. They would be much more of a challenge and much more dangerous than the stupid demon dogs he had fought in the courtyard.
He did not waste time any longer and headed straight to the opened door, where he had seen his familiar enter not too long ago. However, the first thing his eyes caught when he made it through was the blast of fire which would pretty much make fried chicken out of Konomi if he did not avoid it. He quickly jumped back, to dodge the painful heat that would surely ruin his flawless skin and immediately got ready for another one of their attacks. Not that he really cared if his skin was perfect or not, but he certainly wasn't so keen in feeling the unbearable pain of burning skin. Luckily most of the Salamanders attention was set on the raven haired teen, but Konomi's presence didn't go unnoticed by the demons either. He knew that while he was going to analyze their action and pattern and before he was ready to attack them himself he should be careful in avoiding their those fire blasts. If on of them really hit him, he'd be in great disadvantage and would only be a pain in the butt to the higher ranked exorcist. "Koumori!" He called out for his partner, taking his stance, ready once again to fight in battle.

Sora shut herself down so she didn't freeze up in the face of a flame, instead, dedicating all of her power to killing her target. At the same time it released a deadly stream of flame, Sora tensed at the knees and launched herself over its fire, landing on its head with enough force to push it downward. She leapt off of the beast's head after damaging its skull with her feet, but as she fell in front of its face, she ended up slamming the tip of her foot in to the chin of the Salamander that had originally challenged her. She dazed it while falling towards the ground, and once her feet touched ground again she watched it stumble towards her. She put all of her weight behind her next strike, a precise hit to the center point on its face dropping the beast before it could set more fires.
She looked at her other targets and noticed that upon defeating her first Salamander the others took to the skies where they were certain they couldn't be touched by a human like her. "I didn't want to have to use this, but..." Sora sprinted past her first kill and leapt over the fence keeping students from falling over the edge of the building. She almost felt like she was flying, but she knew falling was a completely different thing. As long as she didn't look at the ground, she wouldn't recount that she was, in actuality, falling towards the ground. Still, she preferred flight to all else since her targets could fly, so with some reluctance she opened one gate, Looping Blue, in order to give her a much needed edge against her own flying enemies. After falling below the view point, Sora rose once more, using newly gifted wings to catch her prey.
Scales, a tail, and wings decorated the girl's body, and she almost looked as if she were composed of, generally, tree matter. Even the scales that accompanied Looping Blue were a mossy green, but they would quickly turn vermillion upon Sora engaging her targets. One of the Salamanders noticed her moving in from the corner of its eye, but it was a bit slow on the draw. Sora latched on to its neck, folding her wings and drawing one hand back as she focused on her target area. She punched a hole through the neck of the Salamander, causing it to spout fire in random directions and thrash about while trying to throw her off. "Actually, this is good. Keep it up." Sora spoke silently as the beast's death throes started to come to a halt. It began a rapid decline towards the ground, but Sora was certain to make sure that its collapsed body smashed in to another Salamander in flight.
Sora, naturally, moved in such a way that she wasn't crushed between the two falling bodies, and once more began her ascent. For being such a small girl, she wasn't against throwing her body directly against those of the Salamanders. When she disrupted their flight patterns, they got angry, and their anger destroyed their ability to fight properly. Her grace in the air allowed her to take advantage of their veritably clumsy battle style, and like with the Garm, she ripped holes in whatever Salamander she landed on to stop them short. Ripping their wings caused their bodies to fly towards the ground and impact it with a satisfying crushing sound. She couldn't see behind herself very well because of her wings, but she could feel the heat of a Salamander approaching her.
Sora turned to face the creature, but it slammed its body in to hers before she could react and sent her reeling. She knew that if she hit a wall she wouldn't have been able to recover fast enough to fight back, so she used the added drag of her wings to slow herself down. Those cursed flames spread towards her again, and this time she reacted slower than she should have, and ended up being partially ignited. She was quick to discard her school jacket before she burned to a crisp, and used the added distraction of smoke to mask her approach. She looped around backwards, curving as she went towards the sky and, when above the head of the Salamander that destroyed her precious school jacket, she dived down on it and crushed its skull beneath her heel with one powerful strike that broke its neck as well as a portion of its skull.
While Sora was distracted with her own bouts of destruction, she hadn't noticed the Salamanders focusing on Konomi. She raised her hand to him, surprise painting her normally blank face. "K-Konomi!" Sora had fought twenty six Salamanders on her own, and in the sky as well. She was covered in light burns and soot, but she was alright. What she couldn't be sure of was Konomi's safety, but if the boy could handle the Salamanders on his own, then Sora wouldn't have to rush to his rescue. She dove towards the ground of the clock tower, her tail swaying back and forth as her wings folded up to allow quick descent. When she touched the ground of the roof, she stood on standby, opposite of Konomi's position should she have to rescue him. If he could handle himself as he claimed he could, then she could freely can the area and try to recover some of the strength she lost through the gate she opened.

This was definitely going to be a much more difficult fight than the one he had with those wanna be demons. Konomi was in a great disadvantage. How was he supposed to hit and defeat an enemy that could fly and attack at a distance with ease! Well, Koumori had been the same at that time and he still had been able to defeat him thanks to his brain and abilities, but that fight had been one on one! And he had barely made it anyways. But this one was two against five. That was totally unfair! He'd have to think of something smart if he wanted to get alive out of this situation.
The familiar noticed the worry that had appeared on his master's features. He knew that the enemy they were facing was no piece of cake. Had he overestimated Konomi's power? No! He was sure that Konomi would figure out their weakness in no time. He always did. But nonetheless he still decided to act on his own, in hope to make his masters job easier.
The five Salamanders were all circling at least 4 feet above Konomi and Koumori, ready to attack any second. The blue haired teen was starting to get impatient when finally one of the Salamanders left their circle to unleash their fire blast, and burn the two enemies to ashes who did not seem to be much of a threat at the moment. As the demon came rushing down from its flight, fire already burning in its mouth, Konomi got ready to avoid the blast as Koumori headed above. What the hell is he doing? The teen had a hunch of what his familiar was planning to do but he was hoping that his thoughts were wrong. However, he did not have much time to think, as he had to focus on his current enemy completely, and possibly get as much information out of this attack so that he could counter without having suffered too many injuries.
The first thing the boy noticed when the Salamander attacked was that it had decided to attack by itself. If the dragon demons had attacked all at once, he was sure that the hit would have surely been successful and he's be lying on the floor crying in pain. However, he did not rely too much on that information, until he observed their next attack. The second thing he noticed was that the range of their fire blast wasn't that long, so they certainly needed to get closer to their enemy in order for their attack to actually hit and be effective. That would definitely prove to be useful to Konomi since the only time when he could possibly be able to actually land a hit on them was probably when they were about to attack. Though even then, it would still be quite a difficult task without getting himself injured.
As he avoided that fire blast he also noticed that the dragon had lost its balance as it was trying to recover from its own attack and seemingly vulnerable. An opening! However, it seemed like the next Salamander had already headed for the next attack as to protect its companion while it was helpless.
The second attack of the Salamanders was a bit more difficult to dodge since he had been taken a bit by surprise as his mind had been still focused on his first attacker. He stumbled and fell as the third attacker was already on its way, while the salamander that had attacked first was once again going back on its course. So that's how much it takes for them to recover and attack. At least they know what teamwork is, unlike those wolf demons.
He quickly put hid hands on the ground, pushing himself out of the way from the next fire blast and jumping back on his feet, ready to dodge the next attack from the fou... There was no fourth, neither a fifth. It seemed like the last two Salamanders had moved away from their circle, their attention focused on another enemy. Koumori... It seemed like his selfish planning had helped him a great deal.
The third and second Salamander were still trying to recover, as the first one was going back on its track. Their balance had been broken! He had to attack as fast as possible before the three Salamanders would adjust to their new formation. And that's what he did! As the second Salamander had finally recovered and the first one was back on its course ready to attack once again, Konomi sprinted towards the third dragon demon, which was still rather close to the ground. With a powerful jump and a bone smashing kick, he sent the salamander flying to the wall, making it cry in pain and fall unconscious to the ground.
The first Salamander though was already in the middle of his attack, and even though Konomi had been able to avoid the attack, the fire had still grazed his leg, slowing him down just a little bit. However, judging that he had been able to eliminate one of them for a while, it had been worth it. Now he just had to wait for the second one to...
Well, Konomi had completely forgotten that the fire blast wasn't their only weapon. They could also use their talons and fangs. Sh*t! That's right, sh*t. If they wouldn't use their fire blast attack any longer, that would mean that they wouldn't have to recover from their previous attack, and thus posing a greater threat to Konomi, especially since his leg was injured now. Koumori seemed to also have difficulties with the other two, but thanks to his soundwaves, he was kind of making it. The problem about the bat demons attack thought was that it weakened the user quite a bit. Koumori had explained to Konomi that it had to do something with his Qi , some kind of life force energy or something in that way. He hadn't really fully understood it, since he hadn't really bothered his familiar for more information about that thing, but he knew that Koumori couldn't use that attack more than ten times max, or else he'd faint.
Now it was two against one. But he had to be even more cautious. Who knew when they would unleash their next fire blast attack. He had to finish them fast!
On the side where Koumori was fighting, one of the Salamanders fell. He head defeated one of them and now there were only 3 for them to finish. Maybe it would be easier for the duo to defeat the rest if they worked together? "KOUMORI!" the teen called out for his familiar, as dodged the second Salamanders tackle. The bat demon understanding, immediately changed its course, taking his own enemy with him. And once again the two of them were reunited, and so were the remaining Salamanders. At that time Sora had called out for Konomi but the boy had not noticed too focused on beating the crap out of the demons in front of him.
He was hoping for the Salamanders to continue with their fire blast attacks now that they were three again, but it seemed like the demons had a brain after all. But Konomi wasn't alone anymore, and even though his leg was injured, his main power wasn't on his kicks, but rather on his fists! After all, boxing was his element. The teen took his stance, for once following the rules he had been taught by his couch years ago.
The three Salamanders were ready to attack and so were Konomi and his partner. One of the three salamanders was preparing a fire blast as the other two were just about to attack, one with its talons and the other with its sharp teeth. Koumori immediately fired one of his ultrasoundwaves, causing one of the Salamanders to lose balance, as Konomi punched the other one under its chin, the cracking of its bones echoing through. As quickly as he had punched the demon, he had grabbed its mouth with both hands, trying to keep it closed since it was already forming a fireball in its throat in order to defend itself. Meanwhile Koumori flew over the third Salamander's way landing on its back and quickly grabbing its head to change its direction, making the fire blast hit its fellow instead. Koumori was feeling quite weak at the moment, since he had already used his ultrasoundwave ten times and was reaching his limit, but in order to defeat them, he had no choice but to unleash another soundwave on top of the Salamanders head, making it go unconscious, Koumori falling with it. Now there was only one Salamander left which was being taken care of Konomi.
His hands got burned from the unbearable heat of the demon's head, as he had tried to prevent it from unleashing the fireblast in front of his face. The Salamander had been forced to swallow the blast, causing its stomach to explode and was probably the only Salamander they had finally managed to kill.
Despite the pain that was throbbing through Konomi's hands, he went to each of the Salamanders they had defeated and were lying unconscious, giving them their final hit. With that done he lifted his partner from the ground and carried him on his shoulder. Luckily the bat demon didn't weight that much. This moment reminded him a lot when they met for the first time. He chuckled at the memory and finally whispered to his familair. "You did well Koumori," He knew that the bat hadn't heard a single word, but he was going to say it again to him once he woke up after having a good rest. He was very proud of his partner and himself, for having done such a great job.
He finally looked back at the ravenhaired woman which was in a quite... strange attire? "The hell happened to you?" He shouted at the woman which looked pretty much half dragon, half human. Could she be a demon? However something inside him told him that this transformation had nothing to do with any demonic powers... Rather more important than the females appearance was the fact that she had been able to defeat all those freaking monsters by herself and it seemed like it hadn't taken her long, while Konomi had struggled for his survival and had needed a lot of thinking. Would he also become like that in the future? I can't wait to become that strong! What was he talking about! He already felt stronger.

"I got burned...my jacket is in cinders." He probably wasn't talking about what happened to her jacket though, or the burn marks along parts of her exposed skin. Simply the thought of being set aflame sent shivers down her spine, and she was visibly disturbed too. She just didn't like it. "If you mean these...this is just something that came to me." She moved her wings just a tiny bit, showing that she had complete control over the movement of both that, and her tail. For all she knew, Konomi could probably do the same thing, but she was uncertain. She had taken it easy this entire bout and only opened a single gate, but she could've done much more damage if she felt she was being threatened. She didn't explain very thoroughly, but only because she didn't have time for that. As she looked out from the top of the roof, she noticed that they were running quite short on time.
She pointed in the direction of the houses with great interest, but she seemed a bit too stunned to move in that direction. "We've been moving too slow. Whoever started this probably assumed we wouldn't be quick enough to stop all of the damage, and unfortunately, they were right." Sora had to get down to the houses, and luckily, as long as she could soar she could get around pretty quickly. She was exhausted, though, not personally since she was still running high on stamina, but she had thrown all of her qi out of the window. That wasn't the problem either...below them, she could feel a high concentration of violence and qi, and that more than likely meant they weren't going to be able to go collect any students from the houses just yet.
"...Grab on to something. We're going back down the fast way." Sora spread her wings to their full length, staring at the ground below them. Sure, they could run or climb down, but that'd take too long. She felt as if they'd reach the ground far faster if they fell at terminal velocity. It made sense, didn't it? Naturally, they weren't going to reach anywhere near that speed, but they might get close. They had to quickly change areas to save as much as they could and to keep what little strength the academy's poor barrier had up. It was all they could do. She didn't believe there was anything else beyond Garm, but that furthered her suspicion that this was a distraction.
