Jo(shu) Michieru,
Jo(shu) felt proud of himself, the way he managed to maintain the two figures out enough for them to use their spells...and he could feel a pair of energies fade out. He did a little fist pump as he noticed both of Kyouji's demons were felled. Which had left the Summoner herself....and her signature summon...
Something he didn't have time to deal with, as he felt himself being literally sweeped off his feet, and knocked to the ground, Kyouji finishing things off.
A few moment's pause from an interruption, courtesy of Yatsuda, and she playfully declared her victory. He'd gone to reach for the Golden crystal, but laxxed as she praised them. Allies of the Yatagarasu....The future of the four great summoners.
"Thank you...Kyouji-Sensei." he called, before he felt her pulling him up, then draping him over her shoulders, and having him being pulled tight. He smiled, and draped his arm over her shoulder for support as well, as she invited them in.
"I can get behind that." he called lightly at her offer, before she invoked her authority on them. He let out a light chuckle at this, before shaking his head a bit.
"Right, Kyouji," he called with an easy smile. "We are yours to command, Sensei."
As they were in though, he heard Mir talking to Asuka, looking to take her in as her apprentice again.
Someone's got a~ Favorite. he thought with a chuckle, shaking his head a bit. He didn't really have room to talk, but as Mir presented them with a question, he paused for a bit.
"The most important part of being a summoner." he thought, closing his eyes for a moment, before he came up with an answer. "I'd have to say that the most important part is being able to do what is right...For the good of the people."
Mayyyyybe not the answer she was looking for, but it was what drove him to do what he did. He was just a citizen a few months ago....Shorter then was his time with the crows...But the most important part of his power was the responsibility that came with it. The part that...as the Kageboushi pointed out to him..was the most annoying part.

Red
Red got himself back to his feet as the last two apprentices gave their best effort...and then, were handled by Kyouji. He couldn't help but be impressed all anew...before she invited them all for a drink.
"Thank you.." he called as she watched her lift up the last two, and gave a small smirk.
They're...close. he thought with a suppressed chuckle, Ciela had her favorites too, as shown by the way she openly invited her as her own apprentice. Red could say he was a bit hurt by all of the obvious favoritism...But, he didn't mind it.
I'm just a guy, after all. he thought as he pulled his hat a bit, before hearing Ciela Kuzunoha's question to them all.
"The most important part.." he thought, before pulling his hat up, letting Kyouji's first apprentice speak, before tossing in his own words.
"Making sure you're able to complete the mission?" he called quietly, his own views on the matter apparent. He was sent to do things, and he did them. Was there..something greater than that?

Asuka removed herself from Mir, hearing her question, "To me, the most important part of being a summoner is to help and protect the people. protect those who can't protect themselves, from demons or whatever else may come." A full answer to be sure, but it was what she felt her duty was, and what she intended to do as a summoner.

"Come on, you know I don't force myself onto people. I just show my love"

With the last of his effort pushed, Yatsuda had finally managed to strike the Grand Summoner. However, once he had, she quickly had retaliated so fast that, when he realized he was kicked up, he was immediately bashed back down viciously enough to have him gasp for air. But afterwards. he had heard the Grand Summoner praise them for all of their efforts, and recognized them as allies of the Yatagarasu. He felt honored about the statement she had said and, with the help of the cane, he had gotten up and bowed.
"Thank you, Grand Summoner....Kyouji" But afterwards, he had heard the Grand Summoner invited them all to stay around. "I am able to stay around." As the Grand Summoner had reinforced her point across, he chuckled internally. As Yatsuda had noticed that the other Great Summoner had posed him and his allies a question. After a few moments to think about it, he spoke up to her. "The most important part of being a summoner is that you need trust. Trust within your demons to not abandon you at your most crucial moment. To trust your allies to not betray you when you rely on them the most." He was not sure if the answer he gave was the answer the Great Summoner was looking for, but it was the one he believed was right.

Mir

Mir laughed happily as the apprentices gave their answers. "You're definitely on the right track!" she said, more than a little entertained. "All right, I'm sure you're all still full of energy after a little morning exercise, but I think you've earned a bit of a break. Work on mastering the things you've learned, because you'll probably be training with me in the near future, and I will be testing you on all of this." She grinned slightly. "After all, there's still a lot to learn." Her only real purpose in showing up had been observing everyone, and she'd done that - and there was still a lot of other stuff to do. A pair of girls to pick up, papers to sort through, schedules to arrange... ah, the life of a Great Summoner. The Great Summoner calmly stood up and stretched. "I'll be keeping in touch." she added... to Kyouji as well as the others. "Asuka, go home and get some rest - I'll need you in top shape soon enough." Moments later, Ciela Kuzunoha the I was gone, heading for the next part of her job. Bit by bit, all of the apprentices were coming together... and she planned to provide the final piece that would bring them into the realm of truly expert summoners. Now, how to go about that...?

Kyouji Kuzunoha X, Great Summoner of the Yatagarasu
"What's honorable is all a matter of perspective...I just do what's necessary."

"Names change. Situations change. But once you've become a Kuzunoha, nobody can take the honor of those days away from you," the violet-haired master nodded once in the direction of her dark-haired peer, letting her have a moment to question each of her students and for each of the gathered crew to answer in kind. She didn't allow Shu or Yatsuda to squirm away from her just yet, walking them over to rejoin the others outside of the fight as they each considered how to answer the former Raidou's question. Each answer was thoughtful, considerate, but Kyouji knew that they were merely pieces of the whole puzzle that was being a summoner of the Yatagarasu. Protecting the people was important, as was defending the country from evil; having the trust of your allies and returning that believe was indispensable to their skills and line of work. However, even that was merely one segment of the abilities which helped them to complete their missions. They had allies in the form of demons, in the forms of other summoners, and they had tools and spells which made their fights all the more dangerous. They had a code which kept their blades pointed at the enemies most deserving of them. They had an organization which believed in them...and most importantly, believed in what they were doing. All of those were important...all of them were vital to being a part of the Yatagarasu. And each of them had called out an important section of the whole, earning a faint smile and some light praise from the first Ciela Kuzunoha before she prepared to make her exit. Shame she couldn't have stayed for a while, but the life of a Great Summoner was rarely so simple. Alas. "You're always welcome," the assassin nodded towards her contemporary with a simple, small smile, before adding with that trademark smirk, "And if you ever need me, you know how to find me."

Tossing another of the flares which she had given to the summoner months ago, the first time they had crossed paths back during their encounter at the house of Soji Seta, she nodded and left the conversation between the two of them at that. There was nothing else that desperately needed to be said right now, and she had faith that come what may, they'd encounter one another again. Most likely sooner, rather than later. For now, though, there were others here who had just underwent somewhat of an ordeal, but the payoff was yet to come. What kind of a master would she be if she just left her apprentices hanging after all of that?

"Everyone, let's go inside and...take the edge off," she offered as she let her hands finally slide to the backs of Yatsuda and Shu to gently nudge them forward towards the door of her estate, motioning with her eyes for the others present to all file in behind them and make their way inside. Once there, they'd see the small estate had a small kitchen with a few seats that wouldn't likely seat every one of them, but that should do the trick for the four apprentices at the very least. Kyouji didn't seem to mind letting them take their seats first, and moved towards the back of her estate with her cape tossed and catching on a rack past the entrance smoothly...allowing her white uniform to be revealed clearly for perhaps the first time since she had met the others...sleeveless, revealing the scars and tone of her arms and the smooth skin at the back of her tanned neck, traced by the violet ponytail's ends that hung behind her. In the back she stopped at a carpet which she moved, revealing a tiny trap-door into the basement that she spent a few moments undoing with whispered enchantments...before popping the door open and disappearing within, allowing the gathered group a few minutes to themselves before she would return.

"Help yourselves while you're up there...!" she called out from the basement below, making them aware that she hadn't forgotten them...and of the fact that her kitchen was more stocked than usual by far. Aside from the usual strawberry shortcakes, there were a variety of cakes and cookies lining the small pantry, tea warm and waiting on them, and multiple bottles inside of the fridge that would be less than legal for at least a few of the assembled mass. But even then, they were servants of the government, and on the lands of someone who could certainly handle a few rowdy kids if she needed to. Whatever they wanted to have while they were here was fine by her. They had more than earned their celebration. "Eat, drink, sing...whatever you wanna do," she offered casually as she continued to mill about in the basement, before adding after a single beat... "...EXCEPT...my cake."

...Good to know some things never changed.

Jo(shu) Michieru,
FWUMP.
If there were any doubts to how hard the training session had been on the newest user of the double summon, they were likely dispelled as he practically Fell into his chair. The exhaustion hit him all at once again, almost comically after Ciela said they must have been full of energy. He didn't miss her words of praise, or even of how she was requesting Asuka....Just..
Just need to...catch my breath. he thought, slumping over in a chair as he saw Kyouji starting down to the basement. Her sleeveless shirt..The violet hair draping over her back...Her tanned skin, even with the scars that showed off her true nature as an assassin...Even if the rest of her was showing that she was, beneath it all, still a woman.
Focus...You're taken, man. he thought to himself as he leaned back in the chair, slumping a bit, and waving at the other summoners...and Kanade.
"S...So...Any topics you all wanna talk about?" he asked the others lightly, relaxing..and still catching his breath. Was double-summoning really that hard on a summoner?

Red
Red himself gave a polite bow and tip of his hat to Ciela as she left, following in the rest of the group as they entered the estate of Kyouji. He kept his appearances up well as Ciela praised them, though he was rather pleased.
Guess I'm not as bad as I thought I was. he thought to himself, as Kyouji showed her uniform...and her scars on her back. It was a lifetime of experiences....The kind of which provoked a bit of some darker thoughts in his head, followed by an involuntary shudder, as he steadied himself.
Danger... he thought again, feeling the sensation..even if he wasn't in any. The life of a summoner was...intense, that was for sure. To leave marks like that...
As she told them to make themselves at home, he turned to the others with an easy smile...before pulling out a chair.
"Miss Kuzunoha?" he called, giving an inviting gesture to Asuka as he heard the other apprentice promptly collapse in his chair. He raised an eyebrow, but chuckled lightly at this.
Guess he's a lot more tired than he looks. he called, before moving to grab a chair for the other lady there too.
"Tachibana...Was it?" he called easily, giving up his own chair. He'd be fine standing....
Probably. At the Summoner's question on conversation topics, Red shook his head, not having anything particularly interesting to talk about. At least, not without a little prodding from the others first.

"Come on, you know I don't force myself onto people. I just show my love"

With the pain in his chest from the strike that the Grand Summoner, Yatsuda had casually walked into the room with Shu and the other friends. As he had saw the Grand Summoner take off her cloak and revealed her uniform underneath, along with the scars that she had, Yatsuda only tilted his hat. The amount of trails that she must have gone through and turmoil suffered was something that he felt made the summoner who she was. But, as he had heard his ally slump into his own chair. Being the person he was, he was fine with standing up and allowing any of the others to sit down if they needed to. With the one summoner had mentioned about topics that they could talk about, Yatsuda gave a small moment to think about it, before a small realization had came to him.
"Is it really almost that day?" Yatsuda had mentioned to himself. Was it really coming up to his birthday?

Asuka took a seat of her own, nodding to Red as he invited her over, "Thank you, Red." She let her body fall with a bit more weight than usual, she hadn't put her all into a fight quite like that in a long time. She smiled at her fellow summoners, feeling at least a little pride, Asuka did her best to remain modest, but given the high praise they had all received, there was no harm in it.
Hearing Red speak again caught Asuka's attention, as her head instantly turned to a head of silver hair, "Kana! I haven't seen you in so long, how have you been?"

Kanade Tachibana
Kanade watched as the summoners summarily collapsed...and the one with the cap offered her a seat.
"I'll be fine, you need it more." She called to Red, before hearing a familiar voice. She turned a bit, lightly tensed up from where she knew the voice, but relaxed as she realized who it was.
"I've..been okay." she called simply, folding her hands over themselves. "Me and Michieru Work at the Junes in Inaba...and he helped me get into an apartment near his."
Hopefully, she wouldn't press her on why she had moved out from Rednal's. She just..couldn't handle being there right now. Though, with the others relaxed, she felt..at ease. Even as her Atma hunger lightly panged, reminding her of the core she had in her possession now, courtesy of Kyouji.

"I was worried, but I'm so glad to hear you've been doing well." She smiled at her friend, a sweet smile that could make one blush. She turned her head back and focused on Shu, "And you took her in, Shu?" She stood from her seat and bowed deeply to her fellow summoner, "Thank you, from the bottom of my heart."

Kyouji Kuzunoha X, Great Summoner of the Yatagarasu
"What's honorable is all a matter of perspective...I just do what's necessary."

She could hear them talking as she rummaged through her things in the basement, the seals she had upon it making it impossible for them to listen to, follow, or even observe her in her hidden vault until she had crossed back over the threshold into the estate proper. If they knew just how much dangerous material, how many dangerous things and creatures and scrolls and scrolls worth of sensitive information kept only to the line of her forerunners were down there...they'd have a much harder time sitting still where they were right now, she knew. But there were some things they needed to know, and some things that they didn't. She had always been the type to play close to the vest the things that were better kept to herself from the outset, and by parceling out information the way that she had until now, she had allowed the others to grow without ever getting themselves into the most mortal kinds of peril...with the notable exception of Shu's journey to Sapporo, of course, but she had made sure to keep an eye on him just in case things should go tremendously south up there. And sure enough they had, though by then she had already completed the task that she had come for. The chase and escape from the city after the appearance of that Chaotic Demi-Fiend had been...exciting? Risky? Almost...fun? You had to be a little crazy to find that pursuit fun, she knew, but then again, you had to be just a little crazy in this line of work to begin with, right? And it was a trait that she and all of her lovely apprentices seemed to have in common, much to her perpetual amusement. Every one of them was important to her, unique in their own way. Fingers scooped up a few items from her storage and her eyes worked them over, mind racing, considering her options before she either put them back or placed them delicately somewhere upon her form.

By all rights, she likely shouldn't have been dabbling down her at all...let alone to share some of the contents of what lay beneath her home with apprentices who had yet to become Masters themselves. This was, however...an unusual time. And her bond with the kids chatting away upstairs was something a member of the Kyouji line wasn't entirely used to, to begin with. In the storm of what was yet to come, they were going to need her strength...even if it should come to pass that she couldn't be with them anymore, at all.

...

"Don't all get up at once," the Great Summoner smirked playfully as the hatch to the basement closed and the seals reset themselves behind her, the smooth form of the powerful woman standing in the doorway to the dining room watching them as they chatted about this and that with no small measure of coy amusement, "I hope you aren't expecting me to cook something...this kitchen's pretty much snack food, desserts, and a stunning variety of teas and juices. ...I'm more of an...open fire kind of chef." In truth, there were incredibly long stretches in which she often hadn't had a roof over her head at all, and cooking over the fire was the only way to get anything warm to eat from the beginning. She had a few estates scattered across the country that were all a bit like this one, but none of them were quite so homey as the one nearest to where she had been raised and grown up herself with the previous assassin of her name...her master, Kyouji Kuzunoha the IX. And here was where she was presumably raising and training the future Kyouji Kuzunoha the XI...a thought which simultaneously thrilled and terrified her, that she might die and be succeeded by someone here...that one of her students would have to face an enemy capable of killing her. Even so...if that day should come, she could believe it...that one of them might just become stronger than she was now. One of...if not all of them...they had that kind of potential. She had only to do her utmost to awaken it. And to that end...she found the seat at the head of her small table and took it, the last available chair meeting her as she sat down and unbutton the top clasp of her white shirt, letting her neck breathe a little against the chill morning air. The training session had been exhausting for the others, and it hadn't exactly been effortless for her, either. A thin bead of sweat trailed down the side of her neck, but she wiped it away smoothly, thoughtlessly, and set a few of the items she had scavenged from her vault out onto the table in front of her.

She knew, inevitably, their eyes would be drawn to it...she kept her poise and waited for them to notice what she had laid out in front of her, let them take it all in carefully...she wouldn't speak until they understood that amidst their playful conversation, there were still some matters of business that she needed to tend to. And yet she had no intention of despoiling their relaxing decompression from the sparring contest to do it, either. All things in their own time, she reasoned. And when was the last time she had taken a few moments to herself to begin with, anyway?

"Now then, I don't think most of us have ever had the opportunity to properly sit down and talk to one another...not for very long, at any rate," the Great Summoner spoke after a few moments of letting it all marinate, glancing over her shoulder at Yatsuda with an easy half-smile, "Yatsuda...would you kindly get me a glass of water? And anyone else who'd like a drink as well? Thank you. ...As I was saying, being a Great Summoner, you rarely have the opportunity to sit down and take a breath. It's entirely possible that this could be the last time we're all gathered together like this...so before I explain to you what these are..." she nodded towards the items on the table...some silver tubes, a couple of scrolls... "...And tell you more about why you're here...I'd like all of you to talk. To me, to each other...ask me anything you want. Ask the others...why are you here? What do you want to achieve by training with me? Imagine what questions you don't want to leave unanswered if this were the last time we were all together. ...And then ask them. Understand?"

Jo(shu) Michieru,
Jo(shu) smiled a bit as Kanade spoke to Asuka, talking of how he helped her move, and how they both worked at Junes. It helped piece a few things together for him, though as 'Miss Kuzunoha' [As Red had so kindly used time after time] turned to thank him, with a bow and such, he could feel himself redden.'
"It was...Nothing, really." he called, glancing to the side in embarrassment. All he did was get an application, and do some midnight work. Nothing serious....
Speaking of, Kyouji emerged from her basement at this, setting some things on the table. Scrolls, tubes....the like, before she told them they didn't have many chances to take a breath like this. It was..rare indeed that they could get moments like this. She told them to talk...To ask things to her, to the others...why they were here. What they wanted...the like. Anything that they'd want to ask...That they would want to know...as if it was their last meeting.
Kind of dark..but.. he thought, knowing the sort of things that went with this. Kai himself said something similar about how they couldn't count on being together...and...it was true. They would part...Though..
"Well.....don't all jump at once." he snarked a bit, clearing his throat, before leaning forward. "Asuka, ..Red. I'd go for the usual question, but....Instead, I want to ask something. Have you heard of a 'Demon Auction' going on Or maybe, a Demon summoning App?"
He flipped open a phone. Not one that he used normally, not one that housed demons...but just a phone.
"It's..something I've come across. Government says it's something dangerous...and they're right. It's Real."
His eyes glanced to the top hatted figure, knowing he had an app, but not of his intimate encounter with the government he'd had himself. "People out there...Anyone with a phone could possibly use an App. Students...Adults....Even Teachers. It's not really much of a question at this point....But, there's another thing."
He flicked it open, showing off a little screen, that had demons listed.
"There's also some kind of Auction....That lets you 'Buy' demons. I'm not saying that you should walk around trying to utilize it...but...keep an eye on the Auctions..."
It was how he got Eria, and Talisa after all. Granted, he didn't want to mention that much...And he wasn't really asking a question...but he wanted them to know. To be safe from that kind of thing...If worse came to worse...

Benkyou Resolvere

A light knocking could be heard at this, as a figure glanced inside.
"I'm coming in." the girl called quietly, before the doorknob twisted slightly, and the door opened to another figure. While her eyes gazed over the crowd there. There was a guy with a top hat, a brown haired figure she didn't recognize, the summoner, Red....
"Lady Kuzunoha." she called, bowing slightly to Kyouji, before turning to the other former classmate. "Bokuro-chan...."
Her gaze merely went over the crowd, before she pulled out a small note, and held it up.
"You summoned us, here?" she called, explaining how she'd managed to find the place...and why she was there now. She'd introduce herself in a bit.....And hopefully, get the names of the new faces...And see if either of them were her infamous apprentice.
