It wasn't that he didn't want to talk, but he doubted either of them wanted to hear what the other had to say. And so, silence it was. He focused better that way too.

Considering the fact that she didn't believe his apologies and when he reminded her how much of a fool she'd been it just hurt, silence was probably the best option. She hated when he was right, so it was probably a good thing she didn't know that was his reasoning. It would have just made her angrier. And she really didn't have anything more to say to him.

It was just really hard not to be mad. Mad at herself, mad at Jake... but mostly at herself. Emotions. She really didn't need them.

A world without emotions. Perhaps it would be better off. They didn't need such fickle things. It would have saved them all a lot of heartbreak.
Though he heard Sherry, he didn't respond, barely flinching when the unchecked spine shocked him. He didn't care anymore. It was all so... pointless.

Sherry would have argued with him about what was pointless and what wasn't. She was just angry she'd let herself be fooled, and angry now because she couldn't just walk away. She should though, after it all. After everything. She just... it was too hard to just walk away.
Which was why as the Titan, sluggish as it was, began thrashing more, Sherry began to worry. Surely it was nearly time for things to get a bit explody? "Is it ready to blow yet?"

The Titan was most definitely NOT HAPPY. Neither was Sherry, but she wasn't trying to kill anything, yet.

Jake paused mid-strike, the platelets all but exposed. A voice in his head told him not to be reckless, and he lowered the daggers. No. No matter how agitated and frustrated he was, he had promised. Plus, he couldn't drag Sherry into this. She didn't deserve to be caught up in all this.
Gritting his teeth, he yanked out the infuser, injecting the Titan with the stuff before chucking te canister.
"Run. And don't you ******** stop until your lungs are going to collapse."

But first she really needed to get herself and her gear clear. She was moving a lot slower than she should be. Darn angry Titan stomping around.
