The parts heaved themselves in full force this time, sloshing up to their ankles.
B0nez cut through the slime with fierce precision, but every time Harrison looked less and less sure about how good of an idea this was. It didn't help, because he didn't have to pretend.
There were parts of puppies down here.
"Least...everything's, okay." Somewhere in the rot, some things were probably okay.

Harrison cocked B0nez's main blade over one arm, squinting an eye shut and lining up the shot.
"Lotta free storage down here. We could put in a door and lock, easy."
He just wanted the clean up over and done with.
He pulled the sword's trigger, and an electric ball went wide of a knot of the too-friendly maggots.
"s**t-"
This time he wasn't positioned to stop the resulting spray.

There wasn't room to jump, there was hardly room to manuever. But he nevertheless slammed Tracey down with all the force his charge could muster on the nest, angling him away as much as he could from his possessions. He still didn't feel like they were making a dent.

"Doubt I'll be getting off island for a long time, given recent s**t." It was what he really wanted, freedom from the danger and oppression of the island, a bit of a ******** breather after the cabin fever of being trapped for so long without portals. "But there's no denying that it'd be ******** sweet."
He didn't like murdering the innocent bugs in his hoard, it gave him no pleasure and only served to make him more and more angry as the gore piled up and their aggression increased.
"I miss Vegas." he said, grimly, thinking of the comfortable suites, power, security and wealth. Everything they lacked here.
His swing was edged with a little more despair than usual and went wide.

He chopped an actual bug apart this time, they were growing thick, and there didn't seem to be an end. Even the formerly-friendly ones had turned, probably because of the carnage of their family and friends.

He zapped Rep with a pink bubble, the result of B0nez's pent up energy. The bug gunk was up to his knees now.

Another charge crackled through Tracey, and Rep thanked Marie that he was even permitted it. The situation was more dire than he'd thought, the stacking injuries growing more and more significant as more and more bugs rallied to their cause.
"You make it sound like a gay cruise." he said as he steeled himself, pulled the room's deepest shadows to Tracey's aid and let the blade snake out across the room, impaling many of the scuttling bugs.
"If it was a gay cruise, I'd have a ******** mojito right now."
