Glossbones was feeling mighty fine for himself until he heard a snap and found himself face first in the mud. And lo and behold, a fat geese was right in front of his eyes when he dragged himself out. Now he looked frightening. Perhaps it will cower before him.

Without hitting another kin running around, one looking like a former mate, Above went after another goose. They were so loud and it was making ruckus. Shoving it into the rest, the female acha took off for another.

Glossbones was not amused. That chubby little duck wannabe eluded him. He picked up a stick and began to run. At least endurance was on his side. He would wack the leftover geese.

A particularly fat goose caught his eye as he trotted forward. It seemed slower than the mass of chaos about and he lunged forward in hopes of snagging it.

The crowds of geese that had been present at the start had thinned out now, and they no longer flocked: the ones that had survived thus far had survived on cleverness, after all. Calypso was running at a fast pace, keeping a steady eye on both the geese he would have a chance at catching, and the others that were just as keen on catching those fat, juicy looking geese.

He could do better than this, Faster reassured himself. He spent all his time doing better than this. Or he had, before he'd taken a year and some odd to train a cat bird. Had Might been worth the lack of practice? There was only one way to find out.
