Jinichi kept quiet as Shiro and Sakurayuki joined them back on the ferry, not even bothering to offering to help the pink haired child. They had lost, and he was clearly not happy about it. He didn't even notice as she swiped one of his senbon from one of the dead fish. He stood by passively as their leader explained what they'd be doing next, seemingly not reacting at all as the sword jumped into the water to hunt. Inwardly he was very unnerved by that. He knew of the Samehada, of all of the Seven Swords, and how their wielders were likely to become rouge-nin. the idea of having to hunt down such a skilled swordsman made him shiver to his core with fear. What fear was soon replaced with awe as a giant tentacle came from the water, grabbed Shiro, and their leader went downstairs as if it was nothing. Always preferring to err on the side of caution, Jinichi used the few moments of chaos, to slip out of sight of the octopus.

Hesitantly, Batsu nodded after being given orders. However, as fast as Hiru was it looked like Batsu just nodded to himself for no reason. Nevertheless, Batsu wasn't happy about it and he sighed. The genin were essentially left all alone with this huge octopus, and judging by the fact that one of them had to resort to asking for a weapon things were looking mighty bleak around here.

But orders were orders and Batsu stepped aside from the fray and watched everything unfold.

Mizuiro saw Shiro being taken by a tentacle suddenly and almost dragged into the water. But it seemed the Octopus let go. It was possibly a warning shot, but Mizuiro was not a calm person, he didn't see a reason why he should reason with something that would attack them.
Hiru just left them, meaning that it could not be too strong right? If he left Genin to it, then they must be able to handle it. He wasn't sure if he should attack it, or tell it to go away. Mizuiro quickly leaps from the boat and on to the water beside the Octopus.
"HEY b*****d OCTOPUS! PISS OFF!" Mizuiro had the manners of a splinter of wood. He then jumped towards a part of it's head sticking out of the water and went to punch it hard!



Awareness: Roll (14) + Awareness (2) = 16 = fail.

Attack: D20 (11) + (Atk Melee) 8 + (Taijutsu) 2 = 21 vs Octopus dodge bonus.

Yuki sighed as she saw Mizuiro rush in and punch the octopus with a tossed in insult as well for good measure. 'Well there goes our chance to make a peaceful bargan,' she thought as she glanced at Shiro quickly, trying to grasp the situation. She didn't blame Mizuiro though. There didn't seem like there would be any way to actually get through to the octopus, and unless you spoke Octopus(if there even was such a thing), it seemed nigh impossible to convince their opponent to let her friend down. But then, she wasn't strong enough to rush through and attack and force it to either. Sakura had no way of telling how much damage Shiro had taken, but things did not look good right about now. Tactics. They needed a plan, and they needed one now.

"Think... what could be its weakness..??" she muttered to herself as she distractedly fingered the senbon in her hand. Their opponent was an octopus. A giant one, yes, but nevertheless an octopus. And they needed a way to defeat it. The most obvious way to do things would be to focus all their firepower on the eyes of the octopus and blind it somehow, but that also meant that they risked it going on a rampage as well. Well first things first, they needed Shiro back safe. Somewhere in the fray, their leader had disappeared, along with the former owner of the senbon in her hand. She stared at the innocent looking weapon for a moment before looking at the octopus, and then the senbon again, and promptly pocketed it in her pouch. Rushing into the fray with Mizuiro, Yuki took a leap and aimed a punch at the leg of the octopus that was holding Shiro, hoping it would make it angry enough to let go.

You pull the little glowing one up into the air, letting out another roar. There! See that! That's what you get when you disturb the slumber of an old soul! And they seem to have got the message. A couple of them flee, most of them further into the vessel and one, well, he's not here at least. But the rest aren't so smart.

There's a poof! and a surge of energy where you're holding the glowing one, and you glance over... only to see a log in its place. What! What is this? Surely the little one did not slip out! Even the smallest minnows cannot escape your grasp underwater!

But you don't have time for that. One of them's jumping towards you, coming in for a headbutt. He's so tiny that it won't hurt much, but still... he looks too much like the fish that pierced you in your sleep. You drop the log since that's useless, and bring over that tentacle to stop his attack and hold him in place. Another one of them, a pink one this time, leaps at you with the same idea in mind. Well, she'll get the same treatment too.

In just a second, the boat is empty. There's someone further in, too far for you to reach, but no one else. Guess they all fled in awe of your might. With your remaining tentacles, you send two lashes onto the vessel, not caring much where they go, and shoot a spray of ink its way. Apart from the vessel turning black, nothing much happens, but you made your point. With your prizes, you ease back down into the ocean, feeling the welcoming coolness envelope you.


VS Henge: 1d20 1 + Wis 2 + Awareness 15 = 18 DC: 24 FAIL

Tentacular Combat [This is basically its taijutsu style]
This creature fights using multiple tentacles that can act in a coordinated assault against multiple enemies.

Special:
*All of the creature's tentacles act as separate characters from the head and have their own attack turns.

Tentacle Swing
This creature has flexible appendages covered with suction pads that it can use to strike or intercept opponents. Any contact with them will result in the victim getting immediately stuck

Special:

Ink Shot
The creature spews out a spray (or cloud if underwater) of ink at its enemies, effectively impairing their sight. If on land the quantity of ink doesn't matter so much as where it's shot, underwater, bigger creatures will generate more ink, making it harder to see.

Mizuiro was pulled under water, after the damn octopus blocked his attack. That wasn't good, that it blocked it. Mizuiro didn't care though, he wasn't scared of being taken under water, since he could just keep on breathing. He wondered how he was going to get himself and his teammate out of this one. He didn't think a punch or anything would work again, even if he could do that and his weapons were bond against him. There was only one thing he could do, he was technically a predator after all, and octopus was mere prey to him.
He suddenly opened his mouth very wide and quickly bit into the tentacle as hard as he could, even drawing blood from the octopus which he quickly got the scent of. He held his teeth in, and kept on biting down, trying to make the Octopus release him.

Samekamu (Shark Bite)
The Hoshigaki's shark teeth make a useful weapon when both hands are immobilized. The sharpness of the two rows of teeth are sure to make the victim bleed should he or she be struck by this attack.

Samekansou (Shark Physiognomy)
The Hoshigaki are part shark, and therefore, share many biological similarities with the animal, most notably its great physical strength. Because of their unique skin and physiognomy, Hoshigaki are naturally far superior to normal humans for underwater movement, greatly increasing their ability to move when submerged. The Hoshigaki also have gills on their cheeks and shoulder which they can use to extract the oxygen from the ambient water and increase their ability to smell blood, allowing them detect it with accuracy at far greater distances than the average person. However, their brain being also part animal, their instincts were develloped at the cost of some of their advanced cognitive skills, decreasing their overall analytical and social intelligence.

On the boat Fighting a Giant Monster land of waves

At first it didn't seem like her plan had worked, but then the octopus let go. That was good but, now she was falling and it was probably going to hurt.

Acrobatics DC 15 vs 1D20 + 1

There wasn't much that she could do other than fall to the ground, relax on impact, roll a little bit, and dispel the henge. To anyone watching the event unfold it would roughly have just been seen as the log hitting the deck and then exploding into white smoke. To Shiro it hurt, but nothing too bad. The more pressing issue was the injury from the octopus attack. She quickly looked the ship to see who was on board. "I'm bleeding and need a medic!" she yelled upon spotting Batsu. "Please hurry, I'll be useless without healing."

Yuki's attacks were blocked by the octopus but it dropped Shiro anyway, so she tried to jump away to regain her footing. However, before she could move, the tentacles gripped her and pulled her underwater. She was barely able to take a short gasp of air before she was plunged into the cold ocean, at the mercy of the octopus. She tried to struggle out of the hold, but that would use up the rest of her oxygen supply, although at this rate she would run out of it anyway. What happened to the others? The blue skinned teammate was dragged in as well, and pretty soon they would drown if someone didn't help them soon. Shiro was hurt from the first attack. One of their members was MIA, the only proof of him having been there the senbon in her pouch. Of course, Mizuiro was not drowning at all, but attacking the octopus with all his might, and Shiro was now probably bleeding to death right about now, but Sakura didn't know that. All she realized was the cold, hard fact that at this rate, she would slowly suffocate to death, and that was not a pleasant thought. Kicking wildly, she tried to struggled out, but the movements of the octopus made it nigh impossible to do anything. She couldn't even open her eyes correctly because of the stinging sensation in her eyes from the salt.

'Kami-sama... help us!!' she prayed, holding her breath for a miracle. Literally.

Seeing things escalate and his escort getting tossed around and dragged underwater, the merchant gathered all his courage and got down on all fours to crawl to to the door where Hiru had just vanished a few minutes ago. "Hiru-san, please, it would be a privilege if you could grace us with the pleasure of your company in this most distressing situation", he declared in a trembling voice after banging on the door as loud, of course,desperately trying not to sound desperate.
