A breathy, but awed, "ooooohhh" leaves the teen, a hand reaching up to touch the spot where his forehead has butted her own. Everything feels a lot more right now, even a simple touch like that. But she hadn't known about the nose breathing and quickly closes her mouth to practice, looking up at him with big eyes as she breathes deeply, her heart still hammering away.
Already she's flushing bright red, but she makes a tiny squeak when he touches her hip, as though he's touched her with fire rather than a gentle hand. Its just that she can feel it, and it feels more.
{ Stop sayin' that. It ain't more. It just is. }
So sorry Viveca, can't hear you over the sound of Ripley just sorta made out with her right now.

"Oh. Good. Cause I kinda wanna feel special." She told him with a crooked smile, her hands finding a portion of pigtail to tug on and smooth down, anything to keep her shaking hands from trying to grab him up and do that again. It was just really nice and she hadn't had enough time to study it properly is all! And because, yanno, it was Ripley and she really liked him (oh gosh she was admitting it to herself now asdglk;asfhsdg) and liked that in particular.
Still in his lap, she watched him scratch his neck, her eyes darting across the scars knotted there before she looked up at him. For a moment the smile faded, afraid for one fleeting second that he was going to pull the wonderful rug that was them together like this out from underneath her.

"You d-didn't scare me, just... Startled me is all!" A hand waves at him, before she dares to calm it. Maybe a display of affection like this has made her bold, but the teen reaches out to try a touch of her own. Fingertips glance briefly across the line of his jaw, something that makes her breath hitch in her throat. It shouldn't, its just a jaw, its just a part of him that is there and it shouldn't make her feel all fuzzy inside. But it does, and she can only manage a lingering brush before she covers the whole action up by poking one finger into his cheek. That way he can chose which path he wants to follow, though by that logic she's turning the otome game on herself... Confusing..
"I dunno how much I'll be able to pay attention to the book... But I can be convinced!"

Of course she wanted to be special, who didn't? He only chuckled at that, giving a nod to show that he understood. Yeah, he usually didn't just go around kissing anyone. Usually. "I'm glad." Startled was better than frightened or put-off, which he supposed was a step in the right direction. He had been about to go and grab his book when he heard her honesty, and stopped almost immediately. Er...well, now what, then?

"Convinced?" Ripley repeated, looking down at her curiously. "Then, what do you want to do instead?" It was a terrible question and he knew it, but he was honestly curious.

When he doesn't seem to react to her touching his face, Abbi quickly snatched back her hand and pretends the small taint of disappointment that colors her happiness doesn't bother her. She'd wanted him to gasp, or flush, or say something or look at her in a particular way, but people don't operate like they do in the movies. This is something she knows without a shadow of a doubt, but still she cannot help herself hoping it would have happened. That just the touch of her finger on his face is enough to make him feel as wobbly as it would to her when he had lifted her chin, but that's being silly. The innocent optimism she finds herself clinging to is fragile and flimsy, but still the teen can't help herself. It feels warm, and safe, even if her weapon reminds her it is something temporary brought on by her youth and her tears.

His curious look, combined with the fact she's still sitting in his lap, makes her flush, her gaze pointed down at the space between the air and his chest.
"Oh-- Um! I wasn't really... Really sure I mean... We could... Nap? I'm kinda sleepy? I mean I-I'm more tired and its been a l-long day and we could um... Do other stuff! I-I could show you how to be a ninja!" Really, he should have known that his question was only as terrible as her answer and she has no basis of terrible. To Abbi, terrible is more like asking him if they could kiss again.
That sends her blushing and she tucks some hair behind one ear in hopes of distracting him from the words that follow.
"O-or whatever you want! You've been so nice to me and I feel better so that like... Whatever you want! You got it!"

"I don't want to be a ninja." Ripley repeated as patiently as he had several times before. It was a little odd to have to keep insisting against the Ninja business, but hey, there was a first time for everything. "A nap sounds good." He started move so she could lay down, but stopped when she began to talk again. Something about his being too nice and...offering him whatever he wanted.

Cough.

"You probably should stop offering that." It was sad with a mild scold, but somewhat amused about the whole thing too. She really was way too innocent for her own good, though it was equally likely that he was reading too far into what she was saying. Regardless he really did start to move again, sliding her off of his lap and shifting so she could get comfortable first...and then he gave their situation some thought.

"...If you don't mind, I'd like to stay." He didn't want to assume that she wanted to nap with him there, even if she had kiss him back.

"Have you ever tried to be a ninja?" The teen countered immediately, orange eyebrows pulled down over blue eyes in obvious disbelief. It dissolved a moment later in suspicion as Abbi leaned back, her voice going low as she asked, "Wait. Are you a pirate?". That was traitorous indeed and perhaps only forgivable if he kissed her again. A hug would be an acceptable penance as well.
Not that she would necessarily tell him any of this, of course. Part of her expected him to implicitly understand she was thinking this simply because she had kissed him back. Though the little, ghostly voice in her head tried to tell the young girl differently, it was hard to really believe anything but the wonderfully handsome man in front of Abbi when he looked at her and smiled and his eyes shone golden in the soft buzz of the lights in her room.

Somehow the cough he makes catches her off guard enough that the girl goes timid just in time for scolding. At this she flinches and cowers, shrinking against him until she is deposited back onto her bed. For a few fleeting moments Abbi is quite certain this is it, that she has failed the kissing test and that she will be alone forever... But then Ripley speaks again and she is unable to say anything truly constructive beyond what immediately pops into her brain.
"I won't stop offering! Y-you've been the best to me and you're really nice a-and sweet and awesome and c-cute so you can have anything you want! I-I can't really offer much but whatever you want, you can have it!" Its the best she can offer, and even as it is pressed upon him in verbal supplication the girl knows it is not enough. The ghost in her head scoffs and huffs off to a corner, but Abbi knows that she has never been worth much. If she were better at bartering, or if she had more to give, then perhaps she would not have spent her life trailing after the shadows people leave behind. The fact that Ripley refuses what little she has to give is insult enough, but the fact that she keeps offering has to be indication of her bravery or naivete or both.

"You can stay... A-as long as you want!" She tells him as she lowers down to one pillow, fingertips sliding up to touch the case as she laid on her side. A flush spread beneath the freckles under her eyes that moved away from him. "I'd... Really... L-like that..."

...A pirate?

"...No?" He said awkwardly, not entirely sure where this conversation was going. Was there some sort of rivalry between Pirates and Ninjas? Was that something that people paid attention to? He had no idea, but was willing to at least try.

Ripley continued his silence as she went on to continue offering him whatever he wanted, and only barely managed to keep his smile. Perhaps he was reading too far into it, but he couldn't help it; he certainly wouldn't be the only one out there that would do the same in his position. A myriad of really corny responses came to mind though, and that was enough to make his slight smile into a snicker.

He watched her get comfortable though, and then looked up to stare at the lights. While he could sleep anywhere and in any light, he wasn't sure if the same applied to her...and if he was wrong, well, he could always fix it later, right? He got up and shut the lights off, blinking to adjust to the lack of light before heading back to the bed, crawling in next to her without a second thought.

"This is nice~" He agreed belatedly to her liking the idea, tentatively reaching out to slide an arm around her waist to pull her against him.

So he was neither a pirate nor a ninja... What did that make him?
Taking the opportunity presented to her, Viveca piped up with a number of rather rude phrases, all of which were ignored by the girl whose head she inhabited. This was a rather thorough distraction from the topic of pirates, ninjas, and their undying rivalry, but it was not a powerful enough deterrent from Abbi noticing Ripley's smile that was getting bigger the more she talked. Logic would say to keep talking, to make his smile brighter and thus make him happier, but in her embarrassed haze, the girl stopped her chattering and went quiet.
This, in some miraculous show of compliance, made Viveca go silent too so that the two sat in one body and watched as he stood up and walked across the room, both confused as to why he said he would stay only to leave. The teen caught on first and squeaked softly, covering the sound with her hands. As she rolled over to put her back toward him, somehow thinking he might see her blushing despite the coming darkness, the lights went out.

It was a very good thing Ripley had elected to turn out the lights, for though he could sleep in any condition, Abbi could not. She was the type who needed as close to full dark as she could get, even going so far as to turn her cellphone over onto its face when she slept so she would not see it light up should she receive any notifications during the night. (It had only happened once, of course, but it had been enough to create a habit.)
The mattress lowered on one side as the man crawled back and the girl felt her face go all the warmer against her hand. This was certainly the first time she'd ever shared a bed with someone of the opposite gender, let alone one she'd just kissed quite a lot. It was all very exciting and very sudden and both combined to make her a very bright shade of red. Abbi imagined that she looked like an ember, glowing a soft red, bright enough to give off a little light in the dark.

When his hand touched her waist she was sure she might explode, but instead of her heart just giving up, she moved, scooting back until her spine could touch his stomach.
"S-super nice!" She whispered against her fingers, hating how silly she felt. It was just a nap! Why was she all worked up?
Probably because her emotions were raw from the events earlier in the day and worried because of how well this was going. Things hardly went well very long for the girl, but it was that thought that made her finally go a bit calmer. If things were to go wrong, she ought to enjoy them while they were good right now. A bit depressing, maybe, but Ripley was warm and holding her close and she found her metaphorical grip on her worry beginning to loosen.

"Thank you." Abbi whispered, twisting in his arms so that she could place a soft, chaste kiss on whatever part of his face she could reach. That was difficult given it was dark and she had her back to him and though she could turn there was not much room to turn since he occupied any room she might have had, but she managed to brush some part of his skin with her kiss and with that she hopped back to her prior position and snuggled down for a nap.
