Zar had heard stories about the sin demons, their wealth and their influence, his mother tended to hang on the arm of a few professionally that he knew of. He'd always been told to keep an eye out for them in his day to day life by her. Therefore it came as no surprise to him really that Barth was also privy to that same pool of funds. It was only a pity he thought, he wasn't cunning enough to cajole some of it for himself.
"I suppose being a sloth demon would be a bit of a chore without money to grease the wheels." he commented lamely. For a demon who was supposed to excel in charm, he was floundering pretty badly, his posture stiff and awkward, contrasted sharply by his curling and beckoning tail. He dismally eyed the piles of paper around the room and wondered if he'd made the right choice of career. "I suppose your mother explains the little slimes though, I always wondered where you got them from."

Zar nodded, it made sense all in all, he didn't think he'd be quite as fascinated with any of the other sins, the others as far as he was concerned were a given quantity and often veered into competition as in the case of Lust demons. "I like you best exactly as you are." he said curtly. "The other sins are very crude, sloth has a certain style to it."
He sat on one of the paper piles near Barth, pinning his tail with a hand to the stack as it tried to snake its way towards the other demon. "And everything is more difficult without friends." he agreed. "It is a pity demons can't really afford to have any."

"I can," Barth replied, eyeing Zar's tail.
"And I'm partial to Sloth myself, but I wouldn't call the other sins crude. They each have their applications. ...Have you been sleeping recently?"

"Well of course you can." Zar sighed. "You are significantly more experienced at averting potential social crises. I tend to be in the epicenter when everything goes wrong, every time."
He tightened his grip on the struggling tail enough to dig his talons into the flesh in irritation. "And that depends how recently you mean. Last night I slept a little, once I was done actually clearing space. I was sleeping more before I had this buildup of failure to distract me."
