When Victoria managed to find a new vantage point, behind the shade Iris, he grabbed up a stick that had been laying on the ground. Oh how he wished he'd brought his skateboard. He ran forward and aimed a sharp blow towards her arms.

After successfully alluding several attacks from members of her own faction, it was a lamp that had been the one to hit her. The thought of using her arms to block it had occurred to her but so did the fact tht in doing so she would be releasing the Shade that would then proceed to go after Princess Iris. Instead she took a blow for her savior and friend, right across the back of her head.

She yelped, squeezing her arms tighter as she fought off the pain.

Taking one for the team, Sailor Psyche grit her teeth and continued to squeeze with all her might. She would hold onto the Shade for dear life: Princess Iris'. Generally displeased by the situation, the senshi of breath took a deep breath and screamed at the Shade right in its ears before she took her hard and threw it toward the Shade with a fiercous headbutt.

"Rainbowface!" She called out like a battlecry. Was she okay?

Lenka had watched, horrified as her watermelon went right at the silver haired senshi instead of the shade and she shook her head in disgust. She didn’t miss very often anymore, but this just looked like it wasn’t a good night for her.

She was very glad, however that the lamp didn’t hit her, though maybe that was going to change. If she couldn’t land a hit with her watermelon rind, well. Then she would just have to get a bit more physical. She charged at the shade. “I don’t like you, and you’re going to pay for all of this, I promise you!”

She watched the silver haired senshi deliver a rather nice headbutt, and hoped that her own body…butt would make contact as well. She wasn’t sure what it was called, but she was doing her very best to just body slam the shade into oblivion.

And not die. She didn’t want to die.

He'd been tripped by the ribbon and landed hard on his stomach, but getting to his feet, he did manage to avoid the next attack as a candle of some sort came flying through the air. He frowned, as the thing hit some of the other, and tried not to think on it too much. He'd offer his services to patch anyone who needed it up after all this was over.

He poised himself and charged the monochrome double, this time throwing a punch and aiming for a kidney. Being punched in the kidneys was never a good feeling and he hoped if he landed a punch it would have some sort of impact.

The moment Tsui was back on her feet, she gave out a frustrated battlecry and charged straight for the fake Iris, seeking to drive her booted feet right into the princess's back and trying to aim for in between the wings.

She hadn't noticed anything else that was going on around her and didn't reply to Pasiphae's concern, but the fact that she was up on her feet and ready for action should have been a clear sign of how the Eternal Senshi of Tigers was doing.

Why weren't anyone's attacks working?

Irene hadn't been in range of the dark princess' ribbons, but she still ran back, trying to stay out of the crossfire. The last thing she wanted was to end up botching the real attacks of the more experienced senshi there. Well, actually, the last thing she wanted was for this fake to achieve her goal, but getting in the way was a close second. Or second-to-last, as it were.

She looked around for more rocks, and it took her longer than she liked to find one that looked suitable. Around her, people were getting hurt. It was possible that she'd have better luck taking the fight into close quarters, like some of her allies. But that would make the quarters cramped, not close. Too many easy targets would mean even more people getting hurt.

So, with a pang of uncertainty, Irene tossed another rock at the clone. She had no reason to believe this would have any more effect than her last one did, but she had to do something.

Damage: 2473 out of ????? HP

After successfully smacking three soldiers in the line of duty, the lamp seemed to fly off to the side, and a rather satisfied smile formed upon the Shade's face. They attempted to retaliate, but their attacks seemed rather ineffective.

It was the second squadron that seemed to wipe that smile off her face. A small body managed to collide with it, smashing into its shoulder. Towards the other side, a Squire had punched at its side, causing it to double over to the side a bit. The momentary slumping didn't last long as another kick to the back, causing it to straighten up its spine. Another stray rock managed to hit its wings, but it didn't seem to pay as much mind to that stray shot.

It scowled for a moment, but the false gray rainbow at its hand seemed to grow darker as it tried to burn a glare into each opponent. With a rather unsettling cackle, it began to step back slowly, trying to distance itself.

The real princess had managed to finally regain her composure, taking a look at the monochrome double. She looked at the place where the gray ribbon of light was touching the grass, noticing how the grass was turning brown quickly under the heat of the attack. Quite familiar with her own attacks, she couldn't help but let out a small "...sh*t..."

Rather suddenly, she had to do her own version of a full body tackle at the slow moving gray figure, shouting at all those nearby "GET BACK, ITS GONNA ATTACK!" Feathers went flying upon impact, but a very similar voice called something else out.

"IRIS RAINBOW SLICER!!"

Once more, the colorless rainbow, now darker with more intense magic, lashed out towards those that were closest.

A voice from the sidelines offered an observation. "...It might be safer if someone used some sort of magic... any advantage you can get might help out here guys..."

The winged girl in the yellow gown couldn't help but comment snidely "Enough from the peanut gallery, Cat!"

(Based upon actions up to this point, the following characters will need to roll a 4-sided dice: Psyche, Victoria, Athene, Lenka, Shangri-la, and Tsui. If you roll an odd number, your character is not caught by the attack. If you roll an even number, your character has been caught by the attack. If caught, the gray-nbow will wrap around some part of your character and cause burn-damage. If you want to avoid your character getting too much damage ICly, please feel free to say the gray-nbow wrapped about a clothed section of the body to lessen the damage. You may want to roll first, then edit whether the character got ensnared or not. All characters may roll for damage this round.)

Sailor Psyche seemed to have to worry more about friendly fire than the Shade herself. Everyone was trying to pummel some damage into the Shade like that was the best route while Sailor Psyche tried to hinder it before it got its goal of killing Princess Iris. It was the foot of Sailor Tsui, inches from her face, that pushed her over the edge though. Did no one have eyes? Turning her head immediately as the foot hit, Sailor Psyche probably had a really good view up Sailor Tsui's skirt briefly before her eyes narrowed in on the other senshi's face.

It was anger that covered Sailor Psyche's face, and it was Greek that came out of her mouth.

"WHAT THE ******** DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? ARE YOU BLIND? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR ******** MIND? OUT OF ALL OF THE PLACES YOU COULD HAVE ATTACKED YOU DECIDE TO ATTACK THE PLACE CLOSEST TO MY FACE? ******** YOU, AND ******** YOUR UGLY FACE!"

Out of the things she forgot, it seemed cursing like a sailor was not one of them. Given there was a small senshi of watermelons a foot away, it was probably a good thing that was all in Greek. The anger though? There was no language barrier there. She was about an inch away from changing her target from Shade Iris to Sailor Tsui when she heard Princess Iris' yell.

Thankfully it had been enough to draw her attention back, giving the senshi of breath enough time to put her anger for Sailor Tsui on pause so she could let go of the Shade and distance herself before it could hit her with an attack. She had done what she set out to do, she had given Princess Iris enough time to recover and not die from asphyxiation. The irony of all that? Sailor Psyche couldn't help but grin widely.

This was certainly a tough fight, Tsui had to admit, but it wasn't like she was completely unprepared for it. After all, they were fighting a princess, and fake or not, princesses were not so easily taken down. While she may have dodged the bullet and avoided Eden's lamp (mostly due to being trapped one of her earlier attacks, as ashamed as she was to admit to that), this time Tsui was not so lucky. The price she paid for striking at Shadow Iris' front is that she risked taking another attack head on, and while she managed to strike the shade, she could not back away or dodge the next incoming ribbon, but she certainly was going to try.

"Oh, I don't think so! You're not getting my leg aga-" She spoke too soon, and while her legs were spared from the ribbon's touch, her wrist? Not quite so. It wrapped around her left hand, and despite the faux fur and sheer fabric that covered her skin, the burning sensation she felt made her yowl in pain. She managed to cut it short before it carried on, but no amount of tough-girl act was going to prevent others from seeing the pain in her eyes, as she grit her teeth and tried to break herself free from that burning grip. "s**t... that's smart..."

She yanked and tugged, digging her heels into the ground and trying to keep some distance between herself and the shade. She had no idea who else was ensnarled in her burning trap, but she wasn't willing to share her misery on this one. Maybe if she kept herself anchored and still, it'd give others the chance to strike? It'd at least make the pain worth it. "Someone sock her in that smug face for me!"

Athene heard Iris' warning and did his best to dodge back, but was only partially successful, yelping in pain as the grey light burnt through the light fabric and briefly touched flesh before he could get far enough back.

But his backwards momentum kept him going backwards, before he stumbled over something and fell in a graceless tumble.

Eventually managing to pull himself up into a sitting position, Athene inspected the leg which the grey rainbow had caught. The skin was red where the light had lashed him and as he found out with he touched it briefly, painful, although there were no blisters - which he was taking as a good sign.

There was something digging into his butt and when he was finally able to move to the side slightly he found the source was that damnable lamp that the Shade had hit him with earlier.

Eventually, and it took a few moments, he was able to make himself stand, ********* suggestion that someone use their attack foremost in his mind.

He wasn't sure how well his attack would work, the way people had been clustering it might hit someone else instead, but there was always the lamp.

Bending down Athene picked up the lamp and then tried sending it in the Monochrome Princess' direction.

A battle of this magnitude didn't go without drawing attention, even if that attention was from some of the more fragile members of the war in Destiny City.

Hara Berezaiti, late to arrive at the chaos, wasn't entirely clear what was happening, only that people that she knew were on her side, some of whom had been at the Surrounding to help defend the civilians, were fighting, and hurting, and while she didn't have magic, being only a page...

From the edges of the fray she glanced at her scarf for a moment, then at the gray princess, who she hadn't a prayer of hurting... but the gray-nbow attack, and her own studies gave her another idea.

Oh let me be doing the right thing...

She'd made every kind of promise to herself that she'd be braver, and even though she was terrified to re-enter the fray, hadn't they come out alright in the end?

She threw herself into the battle, trying to take advantage of the Grey Princess's distraction to give her a taste of her own medicine, so to speak, and try to wrap her sash around the Shade's arms to pin them down, hoping to prevent her from attacking again, or at least to give the others a chance to recover.

Lenka heard the warning to watch out, she did hear it, but she had taken a few steps prior, so she thought she was safe.

Well she had thought she was safe until she felt something wrap around her arm, and then an intense burning sensation. The girl let out a cry and tried to pull away quickly from the attack, but…but it hurt so badly!
She felt a few tears well up in her eyes and shook her head. No. No, this wasn’t the time to cry. This was a fight, the things she prepared for, she couldn’t just…cry. It wasn’t the time.

The chibi ran a few more feet away and shook her head. Maybe it was time to just use her attacks. Though if given the chance, she would move in close again. She only had so much magic after all.

((I might not be able to roll for damage until later tonight. -- We'll see))

Victoria wasn't fast enough to move out of the way. He winced as the rainbow grabbed him around one arm and his midsection searing pain setting in as he tried to free himself. This was not going well, and that... that was going to leave a major mark.
