Diana sighed as she entered the course. Looking down from the highest point she gulped. The course definitely did not look like her favorite thing. She was only glad that she had changed from her trademark heels into a pair of knee high boots for the event. Sighing once moor she starts with the others down the long course and tries not to loose her footing on the sharp turns. Only to come to the wall of fire at the end, followed by that sudden fall. Nodding to herself she flies up over the fire and across the ravine to the wall in front of the next part of the race.
Nodding once more she smirks before avoiding the slime entirely and flying over the wall before setting herself back down and jumping over the spiked hurdles. Then she hops quickly over the red balls perched over the water with ease. She had no clue who she might have displaced in her hurry though as she breezed through this section.
Twitching slightly at the sight of the spiky pit in front of her complete with Steve watching for the unwary student to pass by. She somehow ran passed just as he snapped up another student and got the bomb riddled area. Growling slightly she glared at the bombs before dodging the affectionate things. Once she had finally gotten passed those she found herself jumping from pillar to pillar to the next area.
Glaring as she came to the next section, she looked down at her skirt and sighed. It looked like she was going to be glad she opted to wear the shorts under her skirt that day. Growling she ripped off the skirt. "Such a waste of an expensive piece of clothing.." She lamented before turning to diving into the water, her wings tucked close to her body to prevent drag. Swimming and dodging the nets, large aquatic minipets, underwater mines, and still more playful alumni she finally made it to the other side. She panted as she pulled herself out and drained her long hair of water before continuing on.
She was so close to the end. She knew she only had a little further to go and she could FINALLY go get cleaned up. As it was she felt so dirty and hated it. However she only got passed the slick of oil when she fell off the course just before the mud pit. Climbing up grumbling the entire way she finally made it to the course once more and found herself faced with the mud.. Still she was so close to being done. Wincing she trudged through the neck deep mud to the finish line before leaving back to the dorms as soon as she made it to the end. Determined to get into new clothes... After a VERY LONG shower.Quote: Student Name: Diana Points Total: Section 1: 8 points Section 2: 10 points Section 3: 8 points Section 4: 10 points Section 5: 0 points Spd Stat + 3 Total = 39 Points Did you remember to use your Speed Stat: Yes Did you use your Luck Stat: No, She will need it when it comes to using her Str. stat.

She'd borrowed someone's familiar so she could actually attempt this. Needless to say, it ended really badly. It was like some strange music video with a montage of her failures. Falling off the track. Several times.
Not being able to find the climbing wall niches properly.
Well she somehow didn't get eaten alive jumping over a pit AND not being nuzzled on by Bombs. Because Bombs were adorable (and burny) so that worked out.
Nearly drowning.
She wasn't sure how she got across the finish line at all. That didn't end well and she'd probably apologize forever about that. Quote: Student Name: Angeline Points Total: 14 + 2 = 16 Did you remember to use your Speed Stat: I DID IT Did you use your Luck Stat: No

Kettil could be patient. When he wanted to, but sometimes there were very tight limits to these moments of patience. Like when someone promises to meet him somewhere or to follow after him and apparently never do.
So it seemed, anyways. He'd checked his phone back at the booth but no Freya. It wasn't the fact that she wasn't or didn't want to be there that bothered him - it was that she promised him that she would be there. It made him feel sulky. Thus when the race started he went forward at a less than impressive rate.
He almost fell but with a bit of highly last minute reactions he managed to save himself from a fall. Kettil forced himself to get his head in the game and continued forward.
Climbing? He could totally do climbing. Kettil climbed the wall easily and many issues other than a student or two that got in his way but he brushed them aside to get the better advantage.
HOLY CRAP WAS THAT A GIANT MOUTH?!?! Kettil almost messed up completely and had trouble avoiding the bombs almost grazing more than a few.
Running on a head he dove into the water as soon as he saw what he had to do. A couple alumni snagged him and slowed him down, as well as a couple of chasing minipets - not too horrible.
Not caring if he got messy or not, he hit something slick and just let it carry his momentum forward as he slid on forward and toward the muddy finish line. He looked a mess but he was a proud mess...
At least until he realized there was no Freya somewhere nearby to cheer him on.
..Oh right. The good mood fell apart.

The start of the race was well rough, he had looked up towards the stands to wave at Sans part and ended up tumbling all the way down the incline and smack into a turn wall. But soon enough he was back on his feet, limping slightly but in good condition none the less. Zooming around the corners her ended up at the fire wall in no time, avoiding the sudden fall like a breeze and following another student towards the second section of the course.
Grinning wildly he paused for a quick breath, watching as the others climbed the slimy wall and giggling as a few of them slipped and fell right off. It looked like amazing fun and in no time he was tucking his tails around his waist and shuffling up the wall. The wall was a breeze for a mud player like him and in no time Tavi was hurling over it with an air of pride and determination. "Gooo demons!" He cheered as he raced towards the spiked hurdles. He felt great and was doing pretty good, a fact which a monster student took notice of. As Tavi jumped the third spiked hurdle he felt a something wrap around his leg and tug. Toppling over he falls to the ground, the spiked hurdle scraping his knee. Pouting on the ground he pushed himself up and chased after the laughing monster. "Meanie!" Tails crackling he pushed on.
Things were looking up as he entered the third section, he made it past Steve and even the bombs but once he got to the pillars he lost his footing thanks to another student and nearly fell right off of one. Luckily he got past the pillars basically unfazed however and proceeded to the next part of the course, nearly worn out. When spotting the water he happily jumped in, narrowly avoiding a few students and larger minis but escaping by the skin of his nose due to a few speed burst.
Ice, oil and mud.
Tavi looked on at what he faced to get to the finish line just about to give up at the mere sight. This was to hard! It was stupid he hated it! Pouting he rubbed at his eyes and grumpily headed in. Slipping and sliding from ice to oil and then slammed face-down into the mud, his mood no longer pouty but annoyed, highly annoyed. After a trudge through the thick mud he panted and passed the finish line, collapsing promptly after.Quote: Student Name: Tavi Points Total: 18 points Section 1: 2 points + 1 speed poin Section 2: 4 points Section 3: 4 points Section 4: 2 points + 1 speed point Section 5: 0 points + 4 speed points Did you remember to use your Speed Stat: Yes Did you use your Luck Stat: Not this time

Lattice having only rudimentary vision at the best of times when her mask was on was going to find this difficult. She could already tell just by her gaze over the landscape that this was going to just spell trouble for her in the worst of ways.
The Engraver sucked up her ill feelings and then started off on the merry race.
First thing was the pit which she managed to get over just barely, she ripped part of her clothes much to her dismay, trying to keep on the course.
She slipped and slid about as she tried to get over hurdles and ripped more of her skirts. She was not very glad for this part at all, especially the balls threw her off with the location they were in.
Then the next pit with teeth and bombs were a breeze, even as Steve tried to swallow her? She managed to get past without incident and likely grazed a few students by accident with her needles.
Swimming was less than a challenge as a few minipets nipped at her on the way and a couple of underwater mines went off in her vicinity, amongst other slow downs.
The section ended with her slipping and falling on her rear end as she slid forward toward the finish line and managing to barely stay on course.
"..I am not certain that was fun." She monotoned with a flat expression with mud up to her neck, Lattice tried to get herself cleaned up as she got up and wandered away. Okay. Tomoko could do this. She just had to hype herself up. A lot. In fact, she found herself watching everybody else as they did their thing for a minute, taking a few anxious steps forward, and then back, and then forward and then - ACK!
She accidentally tumbled down the first steep incline, pulling her legs in and doing a sort of derpy barrel roll down it. Several times she was sure she was going to fall off. A few other times she was so close to it she wasn't sure why she didn't have to climb back up.
"A miracleee..." she whispered quietly.
Then, climbing. Climbing wasn't too bad, she just had to keep her eyes on the prize and not get her hands stepped on (she was rather bad at this second part), but getting to the top was a fantastic sigh of relief. EVen if her hands hurt.
Owww.
Tomoko might have tried to will herself invisible over that GIANT SET OF TEETH OH DR. FINKLESTEIN THOSE ARE SCARY before she went on. It was even harder to will herself out of existence for the Bombs, but it somehow worked out. Phew!
Tomoko didn't min swimming, but she also was NOT THAT GREAT at it. She nearly drowned a few times and had to try again.

The ghost cat, Kattarina, was so happy to get to participate in her first school event. She had just gotten enrolled and as she looked down the course she saw something that looked to be a lot of fun. Her ears forward, her tail waving she ran through the first part of the course with no problems whatsoever. Speeding past some of the others with ease. Then she came to the second part and found herself struggling a bit on the wall and then on those big red balls that seemed so easy at first glance. Still she kept falling off the wall and nearly slipping into the water near the end. However she somehow managed to get to the third part of the race. Then came the spiky pit and she was one of the few students that got herself snapped up by Steve and spat back out. Hissing at the Alumnus she tripped over the first hurdle and got pretty scratched up before finally making her way across the crumbling pillars at the end before heading to the next area. Then she hissed as she came to the water. This was starting to not be so much fun really. Growling she finally entered the water and found herself hounded by minipets, caught in nets, and dodging more Alumni before finally exiting the water at the end of the area shivering and looking rather bedraggled. She slips several times as she goes through the next area and ends up hissing with her ears flat to her hair as she trudges through the mud but finally ends the race feeling accomplished overall. It was really hard to tell if Shehk was doing really well or really poorly...or really mediocre. She was a runner. She should have had this IN THE BAG. But somehow she didn't.
It might have been all the fire going on. Fire made her screech to a halt more than once, giving it a terrified look before moving on. This happened again with the Bombs later as well. Fire. Fire. Fire. She really needed to work on that thing she had going on with fire.
Water wasn't as bad and climbing was also not a bad thing, fortunately.
Getting dirty was also not very fun. BUT she did make a point of not wearing NICE shoes (or her leggings) in this little run, so hey. That was a thing. She couldn't help but feel like she should have done better after that, however.Quote: Student Name: Shehk Points Total: 15 + SPEED STAT ( cool = 23 Did you remember to use your Speed Stat: I did! Tybalt lunged into a run and almost immediately regretted this decision. With such a steep slope, the black dog slid and then fell down the first part of the track. Fortunately, he was used to stumbling and managed to get back to his feet and continue running, without running, or falling, off the course. By the time he reached the flame, he picked up his pace again, running until finally he jumped, just before the flames and fortunately clearing the sudden drop between the two sections of the course.
The second his feet touched the ground, he was already running and while the wall took some time to overcome, Tybalt eventually managed to climb it and jump down to the next obstacle. Hurdles! Perfect! He had trained for this, he knew how to handle these ones. Unfortunately, he didn't know how to handle the next and thanks to some student, he dropped and sprawled over the first of the red balls. Damn it.
Picking himself up, he made it across the other two, and seeing the strange gap in the distance, he picked up the pace. Once again, he silently thanked Jack as he jumped, clearing the section of the course that snapped at him. Though he wondered what crazy person even thought of adding that in. But really, he should have been paying attention, because that same student who tripped him before tripped him again, this time causing the black dog to slam into an unsuspecting bomb. Joy.
On fire and cursing loudly, Tybalt was all too happy to dive into the water. He didn't even notice the dangers lurking beneath the surface as he doggy paddled across to the next section of the course.
The last section on the other hand. Tybalt would never want to speak of it again. Just as he climbed up and out of the water, he slipped and slid about half way down the course before he managed to get up---and slipped again. Fortunately, it was thanks to his speed alone that he managed to make it to the end with a somewhat decent time.Quote: Student Name: Tybalt Points Total: 30 Section 1: 2 points ( +3 points ) Section 2: 4 points Section 3: 4 points Section 4: 10 points Section 5: 0 points ( +7 speed points ) Did you remember to use your Speed Stat: Yes Did you use your Luck Stat: No

Fascinating!Canon stretched vigorously, but kept finding herself lulled into a daze by the sheer enormity of the course. Were those fireballs? Why did one section have teeth? What were those things? She could hardly wait for the race to start! When it finally did, it seemed the course had practically been made for her! The water hazard hardly offered a challenge for the amphibious ghoul. The portion directly after, however, almost saw Canon plummeting down the sides. The precarious steps were a bit farther apart than the ghoul's legs could reach. Reacting quickly, Canon managed to stab into the wall with her tail, and used the momentum to swing herself back up. The landing was rough, as she was buffeted by the other students racing by. Regaining her equilibrium, Canon put the adrenaline to good use and blazed through the rest of the course. Fuuuuuuuuuuuun! Quote: Student Name: Canon Indy Section 1: 10 pts. Siddie took a deep breath, checked the knots on her sneakers one more time, and started into the course. The sharp incline made gaining speed too easy, and the turns were difficult; but she was light, and she made her way through the section easily enough. She sped up as she approached the wall of fire and leaped, but someone bumped into her as they went past, and she stumbled as she landed, letting out a little shriek as her ankle wobbled but didn't twist. Thank Jack. "Watch where you're going!" she shouted at the departing back. The climbing wall in the next portion wasn't a problem. The spiked hurdles weren't a problem. The floating, bobbing balls were absolutely a problem, and Siddie wobbled, flailed, squeaked, and fell off the course entirely. She scrambled back up as fast as she could, but she had lost time. She had to make up lost time, and it was with this thought in mind that she hopped rapidly over Steve, wove deftly among the Bombs, and crossed the pillars. The pillars might have been more trouble, but by that time, she was moving too quickly to slow down; she took each pillar in a one-footed bound, not staying on them long enough to feel the swaying. Swimming in her clothes was sort of a challenge, and the minipets swarmed around her and slowed her down, but on the whole, she avoided the nets and the obstacles without too much trouble, and climbed out the other side of the water section dripping wet but feeling victorious. She slid on the ice first, using the natural slipperiness of the ground to speed her along. The oil slick was likewise almost helpful. As she tried to hurry through the mud before she could sink in it, though, someone crashed hard into her side, toppling her sideways, and she sank alarmingly as she struggled to right herself. By the time she crossed the finish line, she had gotten muddied up to her waist, and she was scowling as her point total was called out. Chaya took off across the finish line in a burst of speed, whooping with high spirits. She made the first turn easily enough. The second was a little rougher. On the third, she skidded off the path entirely. Whoops. Once she'd clawed her way back up to the top, she scrambled up and over the climbing wall without much trouble. She slowed somewhat as she hopped over the hurdles, taking care not to get herself scratched; the floating balls were a fun challenge, and she bounded across giggling. The spiked pit didn't look too tricky, until it gobbled her up and spit her neatly over the side of the course. Once again, she scrabbled her way back up, avoiding the Bombs as she clambered back onto the course. The crumbling pillars were another fun little balance exercise, and she passed them easily. In the water section, she got caught in a net, got tangled up in some tentacles, got dunked repeatedly by a laughing nixie, and then managed to swim out the side of the course. She thought briefly about slinking off in shame, but concluded that quitting would be even more shameful, and gamely climbed back up. She fell several times on the ice, then again on the oil, faceplanting into the mud, and had to practically swim through the sticky stuff to get to the finish line. She'd been terribly slow. But at least she'd finished, right? Nahm stretched theatrically before starting in on the course, taking the first few feet in a lazy-looking jog before he picked up pace. The downhill slope let him gather speed easily, and he rounded the turns with agile skill and leaped the wall of fire with no more than a minor singe to one leg of his pants. He might have bumped into someone on the way past. Oops. biggrin He spidered his way up the climbing wall, carefully hopped the spiked hurdles, and took the floating balls at a careful, slow stride. Better to lose a little time than fall off, really. Someone was in the process of being gulped down by Steve, and Nahm used that distraction to cross and get past without being touched by the spiky creature. A finger gesture might have been thrown on the way past. He grinned back at the Bombs, which seemed a little reluctant to approach, and hopped past the pillars rapidly. He was used to swimming wrapped up, but he had to take a little extra time puling his hood and scarf tight to make sure they wouldn't fall off. Once in the water, though, he eeled past the nets and the minipets. The nixies and the mermaid slowed him down a little simply by wiggling, but he avoided the rest of the obstacles to climb out on the other side and shake himself dry. The ice wasn't too difficult, but the oil was a little unpredictable, and the mud was difficult to navigate without slowing down, but he put on a burst of speed and pushed over the finish line grinning. Not bad, all in all. Well, if there was a time to get her well practiced worry face on, this seemed to be the time. And so Maple did, staring at the obstacle course ahead of her, at least as much of it as she could see. It wasn't as if she wasn't fit but she was aware of what could possibly be thrown at her by now by this school. (And then, thinking, why was she doing this in the first place?!) Before the gun had gone off, the witch cast a glance at where the spectators had seated themselves, wondering if her family had come to show some little bit of support; or not bother with their wayward daughter. Thankfully she didn't get much time to dwell on it with the start given and with the rest of her classmates, she was off.
It was steep in the first part, and around her a few students didn't meet the turns very well but somehow the witch found her way through. Maybe it was her heart beating inside her ears and the adrenaline and anxiety of the whole thing pushing her forward. The wall of fire met her soon enough and Maple pulled up her arms to block her face as she leapt through it, feeling the heat but managing to clear the pit that it hid from view and onto the other side.
Where she found herself at a wall and the beginning of her momentum decreased. Maple took in a deep breathe and began her ascent, carefully making her way over the slime topped wall with an okay time and progress - it was hard with her non-clawed hands. The hurdles were another story, with the spikes and she made a few choice uneasy noises as she made her way over the first one, but then she felt herself thrown to the side and rolled under the second one. Who had done such a thing, she didn't know. There were so many other students around and if it was intentional, Maple never found out. But she took this as a chance to go under the last one before completing the last part of that course (Really, who DID design this thing?)
The next part. Well. Of course Maple's luck had run its course on the course and the little witch was off and over, having to climb back up. It did take a while, even with trying to use a little of her reserved strength and speed to catch up. She never did get to meet Steve, saw the bombs though and ran through them as best she could.
Which sent her off the course again! Maple let out a whine, climbing back up and used the last of her reserves to get through the water portion of this thing. And maybe it was because of the falling and the water and the bombs and the craziness of this course that the little witch found her momentum again and barreled through the last part of the course. It could have also been the tears in her eyes and the need to be done. She didn't want to do this anymore, it was horrible. She was singed, sore, wet and tired. Could the next part of this house cup thing be a test? (Even though she would probably screw that up too?)
Maple found herself soon enough, after the ice and the oil, cross the finish line where she found herself on the ground, breathing heavily.
