A shiver of excitement came over the ghoul as one of the poms had finally swum over to inspect the bait. The fish circled around it in slow contemplation, before deciding that yes, it would like to have a bite.

Edel carefully measured the tug on the line, gauging how much force was needed to reel this one in. The ghoul waited patiently for the moment to reel it in -
and with a triumphant tug, the pom was pulled out of the water!

The pom waved about in the air before it was set down on the ice, flopping about rather angrily. Realising quite quickly that she should get the pom some water, Edel formed a small bowl of ice and drew some of the water from the opening of the frozen pond, plopping her catch in as soon as that was done. sn: Zyphiris

The blonde reaper eyed the frozen pond critically. After her slip in the obstacle course, she was a tad wary of things slippery. But she figured she was here for all sorts of experiences and still went ahead and explored it anyway. She saw it was full of poms but what was she supposed to do? She observed the other students present realized she was supposed to catch them.
Huh.

So she was supposed to catch these Poms? Well, that sounded interesting and good training for patience. She took her allotted amount of shrimp and after careful observation, managed to get hers knotted.

Strength was not Ruth's forte and it showed in her attempt to reel the pom out of the water. She spent a good time trying to land it, letting the line go slack before the tension snapped it, and then quickly yanked it back. Eventually, she managed to succeed!

With one final yank, Ruth was able to pull up the Pom and it landed right on her with a wet splat.

Ruth herself hadn't spoken to the librarian (because that required speaking and that wasn't something the paranoia agent did on a personal level) but she did overhear him say they shouldn't go venture out onto the ice. Which naturally meant Ruth was going to go out onto the ice despite her earlier misgivings.
And of course that naturally meant karmic backlash was going to happen and she plunged into the frigid water.

As Meixiang approached the frozen booth, she noted how familiar it was. Was it...the same one as before? How odd. Though there was no grumpy Pom. But what there was were other cute little Poms that she couldn't help but find endearing.
Picking up a nearby fishing rod, she tied a tasty looking shrimp to the string and plopped it into the water.

After a short time the line began to tug and bounce around. Something was on the line! The ghoul quickly grabbed her pole and began to pull. Back and forth, back and forth. This Pom was really strong!
