After moving along for sometime, Feral Storm once more comes upon the menacing glowing eyes. This time, he is determined not to lose the figure behind them. He chases it down, going as fast as he can, until he makes it to the edge of the territory and into a clearing, where a violent looking buck stands, waiting. Feral Storm is caught off guard when the buck charges him, sticking a single good horn into Storm's flank. He tries to return the assault but can't manage anymore that a half-hearted bite. Finally getting away from the buck and creating some distance, Storm is able to doge the second charge attempt, knocking the buck off balance and sinking his teeth into his opponents leg. The buck is limping about after he gets back up. The other buck rethought his strategy after that. He began to slowly close in on Feral Storm. Storm struck out to bite but his opponent knocked himself against Feral Storm, forcing him to barely draw blood from the attack on the thigh. The buck becomes desperate in its last moments and thrashes about wildly. He strikes Feral Storm hard in the face, only to have Storm retaliate with his jaws around the neck of his opponent. He bites down and throws the buck at the ground, killing him. Afterwards, Storm walks up to the dead buck and finds that some of his fur is burnt. It turns out that a cult of kin sought out help from Ghost Thistle. She had shown them how to preform a ritual to summon the Ones From the Sea, which involved the murder of the furby's friend.  Feral Storm's head shoots up as he comes out of his dream. Not entirely sure of what he saw or why he saw it, he just decided to believe that he had something yesterday that didn't sit well. It must have been something crazy, because his dream made almost no sense at all.
Later in the day, Feral Storm started to have an increasing feeling of loneliness. He looked about himself hoping to find a small creature there to keep him company. That's when he realized that his strange dream had more of an impact on him that he first believed.
