I think the mother has always has the ultimate control in the household. It's just that she makes the father feel like he's the one in charge. I guess it's like he's the front man, but she's the one in the control booth.

matsujisama sometimes my mom has more power usually though my parents split it. It seems that way in a lot of my friends families too
