"Okay..."

Aludra wasn't sure how to respond to what she had been told without telling Celemorrow she flat out didn't believe it. Just because she'd been given powers and had some weird connection to space and other planets didn't mean she was also some sort of earth disease. She had been born here just like anyone else.

She tugged at the edge of her hood and decided to hold her tongue on the matter. It wasn't as if she knew much of anything else, so he could be right? She would just have to investigate further.

"Do we need to use the key again to open the door?"

"Got it."

She took the card from him, used it to open the door and then peeked outside. Aludra disappeared outside, the door closing behind her with a soft click, but she was back in a second, carrying a rock she'd found in the sad little excuse for a garden out the front.

She used to the rock to prop the door open and then stood aside, so Celemorrow and the cart could exist.

Aludra was back to stroking the rabbits ears and she regarded all the animals with a worried look. The bunny was quite heavy just on his own.

"Maybe two or three?"

"Okay," she breathed out, relieved Celemorrow intended to make sure all the animals got away safely.

Aludra selected one of the guinea pigs, patted its head briefly and dropped it carefully into her hood. It squeaked for a time, moving around but eventually seemed to relax when it realized it couldn't escape easily.

"You can maybe put another one in there. I don't think they'll mind."

She hefted the big bunny into her arms, holding him close.
