The takedown works, sending Jimmy tumbling face-first to the mat, turning his head just in time to avoid breaking his nose... At the expense of what will surely be a nasty bruise on his jaw. As he's trying to push himself back up, he feels Pantera trying to lock in a submission move. Panicking, he frantically attempts to crawl to the ropes before the move can be locked in.

Feeling himself being dragged away from the ropes, he begins snatching at the air, as if some invisible hand has been stretched out ot him. When this bizarre tactic doesn't work, he decides to try something else... Having been pulled all the way back to Pantera, he pushes himself up off of the ground with his hands, as high up as his arms will allow him to go, and attempts to flip over onto his back. If it works, he'll try to kick Pantera off of him.

((Was that an autohit? Turnabout is fair play, then...))

Not long after Jimmy is finally locked up in the San Verganza, the first drop of Pantera's body twists his legs against each other, causing him to scream in pain as he reaches his hand out on instinct, as he struggles against the urge to submit to the pain.

Instead, as Pantera's getting back up to his feet, Jimmy takes advantage of his opponent's unsteady stance to pull himself hand-over-hand to the ropes, where he's finally able to grasp the bottom one!

Jimmy grasps the rope tighter, as Pantera continues to stomp on his back. He grits his teeth, as the wounds from his one way trip into the guard rail are made worse, wondering how his opponent can focus hard enough to put an intricate leg-lock together less than five minutes after having both of his ears struck.

He screams, as the referee comes over to break up the hold.

Suffering one last stomp at the hands of his adversary, Jimmy rolls out under the ropes, but as soon as he tries to put any weight on his feet, his knees buckle underneath him, and he stumbles into a nearby guard-rail. He turns around and leans against it for support, doing his best to ignore the three teenagers flipping him off from the front row, mere feet away from his face. He clutches his midsection with one free hand, trying to stretch the muscles down there as hard as he can to over-ride the pain.

When the ref's ring-out count reaches eight, he takes whatever relief he's found with him, and slides back in under the bottom rope.

Needing no other invitation than this, Jimmy limps over to Pantera, wincing in pain with every step. He reaches his opponent, a determined look still plastered on his face, and attempts to hit a back-chop across the chest.

The right hook hits its target this time, hitting the same cheek that Jimmy had already bruised back when Pantrera tripped him. He clutches the wound, but is too self-aware to stay like that for long. Trying not to lose momentum, he attempts to return the strike with a European Uppercut.

Jimmy steps back, and moves his head back, the punch just missing him. To follow this up, Jimmy tries to go for a toe kick to Panrtera's stomach. If it works, and doubles his opponent over, Jimmy will attempt to follow through with a gutwrench suplex.
